Jacob was deep in the jungle back in the great dome he was in on his field trip. He wandered about through the thick brush that seemed to be rather congesting on him the further he ventured.
The Boy felt the world around him was closing in. The Sounds of the birds chirping in the trees were starting to fade away. Something wasn't right as he lifted himself over a toppled tree. Where did all the sounds of the parrots go? The Squawks and chirps had all but left his ears as he tried to figure out exactly where he was.
First he was on the bus he remembered then something had snatched him off of it and before he knew it there he was in the jungle. Alone and without a chaperone or even with a fellow student. He was lost and it frightened him.
"Where am I?" He asked himself but then a loud hiss filled the jungle around him. He yelped at the sudden sound.
He looked around frantically trying to see where it had come from but all he could see were tree's that were so tall and close together that the canopy above had the sun blocked out barely letting any light in it.
Again, the hiss echoed throughout the tree's as the jungle seemed to grow darker by the second. The Boy started to shake in fear.
"Someone help me!" He cried out but nothing answered his call. He then heard that horrid hissing sound again. Then something poked in his back. Jacob turned around in alarm to see glowing yellow eyes staring at him within the dark.
"AAAAAHHHH!" Jacob screamed at the sight of the narrow eyes that looked on him like a hungry animal that had its prey in sight. The Boy stumbled backwards and crawled back for a moment before turning over struggling to his feet and ran as fast as he could go.
Jacob didn't know where he was going to go but all he wanted to do was to get away from those glowing yellow eyes. He ran fast running past some tree's and ducked under some branches.
He crashed through some bushes but just as he came out from the other side of one something was keeping him from going any further he looked back to see a few branches snagged his clothes and to more of his horror they looked like hands.
Jacob pulled and tugged till he managed to pull his clothes free from the hands and continued running. He had to get away as it seemed he was being pursued.
He ran around another tree and saw something right in front of it. Then the tree turned into a face and more glowing eyes appeared on it. Jacob screamed at the sight of the face that looked menacingly at him. He backed away fast but then fell down a hole right behind crying out as the darkness around him consumed him for a moment.
Jacob screamed in terror as he fell right into a pond. He went down through the waters a couple feet before struggling to the surface coughing out the water that filled his nose and lungs. He didn't have time to take a quick breath as a splash behind him alerted him. Looking behind he saw the head of an crocodile with his mouth wide open.
Again, he screamed quickly swimming to the water's edge clambering away as the Crocodile didn't move and stayed where it was with its mouth still open. Jacob hurried away desperately looking for a way out of the forest, but a strong wind blew in his direction making him stop in his tracks with another tree in front of him with a horrid face upon it with long branches resembling hands opened up at him.
Jacob tried to run one way, but a flock of bats flew into his direction. Crying out as the furry creatures squeaked with their red eyes showing at him as they flew around him. Turning the other direction, the boy ran fast desperately trying to find some way to escape.
"HELP! HELP ME!" Jacob shouted as loud as he could as the tree's around him showed more of those horrid yellow eyes staring down at him with wicked intention. "MOMMY WHERE ARE YOU?!" Jacob's face started to tear up as everywhere he looked there was nothing but yellow eyed tree's and more bats along with a heavy wind blowing from behind him this time pushing him further through the dark forest.
Suddenly he heard a booming laughter that was anything but friendly that made his spine tingle with cold fear. It was unlike anything he ever had heard before. He didn't want to find out where that came from all he wanted to do was to escape the madness around.
The Wind picked up more and Jacob was lifted off his feet and carried forward. His body twisted and twirled in the air as he continued to scream and cry out for help that would not come for him. He was alone and helpless with no one there this time to save him.
Jacob curled and braced for what seemed to be the end as he was launched into the air carried through the canopy that surprisingly opened up for him allowing him to avoid the clawed handed branches that reached out for him.
He then was carried by the wind over the forest into a blood reded sky with a dark and gloomy mountain appearing on the horizon. The Boy didn't know why he was being carried towards it but something within him was telling him it was not any better than the forest he was in.
The Wind ceased suddenly as soon as Jacob was close to the mountain and, Jacob found himself falling. He screamed again as from the height of where he was let go from would surely end him. He braced for the inevitable impact but then something stopped him just before he could hit the rocky ground below.
He looked and felt below him feeling skin, yet it was rugged and tense. Then that horrid laughter boomed so loudly that had to cover his ears. Hearing this time exactly where it had come from he reluctantly looked up.
Jacob followed up where he was sitting now. He noticed the skin belonged to a large black hand that held him. Through a dark mist he following the hand seeing it attached to a big arm. The Mist began to dissipate, and he saw a gargantuan looking being that was so big the tallest skyscraper in London would not match its height. The Body itself was bold and muscular but the most horrid sight of it all was the head that belonged to the body.
Its eyes narrowed down at him with gleaming yellow. Its lips curled up into a devious smile. The Horns curved out on the side of its head and the dark atmosphere the giant demon surrounding the demon made Jacob curled upon the hand that held him. His eyes could not turn away from the sight of the monster even though every instinct was telling them to look away or try to run but the demons presence made him stay where he was in cold fear.
"I will have you soon, boy!" The Demon laughed loudly as the hand started to close around Jacob and before the boy could react the hand shut tightly trapping him and Jacob screamed in absolute terror.
Jacob sat up and shot open his eyes breathing heavily as hot sweat poured off his head and his face ice cold with fear. He thought he was in the grip of that terrible monster but to his great surprise he was laying upon a rather large bed. So big that he barely made up any of it.
"Wait! What…how?" Jacob's mind raced with questions. Where was he? This wasn't his bed and the room around him was big enough to make him know that it wasn't his bedroom.
He threw off the blanket that covered his lower body then he noticed that he wasn't in the clothes he was wearing back on the field trip. He was in pajama's that were rather soft and loose. A Shirt and pants that gave him a comforting warmth. But this only added to more questions.
"What is going on?" He asked himself as he crawled out of the bed. He looked around to see the room was filled with a few luxurious with a large mirror upon a desk. A Table with two chairs that gleamed with jewels embedded in them like the mirror at the desk. There were also many pictures lining the walls. Some of the pictures were art pieces handmade crafted to perfection that were rather amazing to look at.
But this wasn't time to look at colorful artworks. He was in someone else's home it seemed. Wearing a pair of clothes that were not his own. Someone took him and outfitted him. It made him blush a bit thinking that someone had removed what he wore and placed him in the pajama's he was wearing now. Even if they were rather comforting made of wool and white in color.
There was a set of drapes that were covering something at one part of the room. It could be covering a window. Jacob immediately went over to them and pulled one drape aside and found out that it wasn't a window the drapes were covering but a balcony that overlooked a vast land.
"What in the name of?" He gasped in absolute shock as he hooked the drape to a ring on the wall to his left. He cautiously ventured out onto the balcony he felt as if it could collapse under him as the dream he now realized he had was only a bad one, but could he be in another dream?
He felt the warm air of the sun bare down on him. The Sky was blue and partially cloudy. But it wasn't the sky that surprised him it was the surroundings that did it. He went to the balcony's edge and found out that the balcony to the room where he was, was part of a tower among many. Looking below he could see a great many structures within a grand wall that surrounded it. Just outside the walls looked to be a village consisting of numerous sized houses and huts with a few windmills and just beyond it a great forest with a road that stretched out to it and in another direction there was an ocean with a port at its edge. A Large galleon was docked at it was a few smaller boats out at sea just barely within Jacob's site.
"Where am I?" He asked himself.
"Why you're in Ethiopia, little guy!" A Cheery voice chuckled catching Jacob off his guard.
"Who said that?" He called not seeing anyone around him his knee's shacking remembering that horrid dream he had.
Suddenly without warning a long slender and furry figure hopped behind him making him turn around in alarm and what he saw in front of him made his jaw drop. It was a dragon, but this dragon was long and blue in color with a darker shade on its back and lighter shade on its front. It had tiny dorsal fins on its back and a main white-bluish- violet in color and tiny puff of the same color on its tail and two rather sharp looking horns on its head and the toothy grin it gave Jacob showed two rows of sharp teeth.
"Hello there." The Dragon grinned turning her body straight and sat in front of Jacob as he couldn't take his eyes off of her. His mouth still hung open and his body twitched nervously. He didn't know either to scream or be in awe. Was the Dragon good or bad? Did it speak to him in a friendly tone?
"You might want to close your mouth there. Don't want a bug to fly in and lay eggs in you." She winked at him causing Jacob to finally break out of his fear and shut his mouth.
He slowly raised his hand at her as his back pressed against the stone railing behind him. "Are you a…"
"Dragon? Yes. Yes I am." The Dragon answered giving the boy a friendly smile. "I am Sisu. What is yours?"
"My name is Jacob." The Boy replied as he took a cautious step at the dragon with his arm stretched out. He believed he was having another dream. A Dragon couldn't be real. Sisu watched what he was doing and smiled and moved closer letting the boy's hand feel the fur upon her long body.
Jacob gasped in acknowledgment. He could feel the soft fur upon the dragon it was smooth and pleasant. It…she was real. "Ho…how?" Was all he could ask this was far too much for him to take in.
"Well, that is a tale to tell, little guy." Sisu replied as she curled her body around the boy letting him get a closer look upon her as he began to feel her body growing more and more eager to feel the dragon.
"Wow! Your beautiful." He complimented pressing his hands deep upon the slender body of the dragon making, Sisu twist her head slightly with smile.
"Why thank you. Your quite cute yourself." Sisu chuckled making the boy blush.
Jacob giggled as he felt more of the dragons body. She was incredible. A Legend made real something he only read about in books and seen in movies though they were more evil in those tales but this dragon seemed very friendly.
Sisu giggled as the soft touches of the boy made her body tingle. "That tickles!"
Jacob immediately moved his hands away feeling rather embarrassed. "Sorry." He said feeling bad he did something he shouldn't have done to such a majestic creature.
"That's alright." Sisu assured giving him a soft nuzzle on his cheek. She uncurled her body from around the boy as they looked upon each other each of them smiling until the sound of a door opening up made them look towards the room.
Entering from the opened doorway was a mouse wearing a regal dress with a golden crown upon her head it looked to be Jacob's height and standing right next to her was a woman that wore a slender blue dress and had long red hair that had a bow tied behind it.
"Good afternoon." The Mouse with a feminine voice smiled at the boy who was just as surprised to see her as he was seeing the dragon that stood behind him. "Welcome to Ethiopia, young Jacob." Hearing his name made the boy gasp.
"You know who I am?" He asked backing up slightly only to feel the dragon who only patted him on the side assuring he was not in any danger.
The Mouse nodded. "We know a great many things about you. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Queen Minnie, and this is my friend, Princess Ariel." Queen Minnie introduced with Ariel bowing slightly to the boy giving him a kind smile.
"A Queen and Princess!" Jacob gasped feeling as if he was about to collapse. He never has met royalty before. Let alone a talking dragon and now a mouse who stood at his height. So many marvels within the past few days. It was all to keep him from falling over.
Queen Minnie took notice of his concern. "I assure you, Jacob you are within the safest place that you can be, but I must ask you come with us. There is much you have to know, and I promise your questions will be answered once you meet the King."
"Uhh…" Jacob did not know whether to trust them. His memory came back to him remembering he was on a school trip then he was captured by a snake, and it must have put him to sleep somehow and now he woke up from a dreaded nightmare to find out now he was in a foreign land and within a castle of all places. But he had no other choice. He did want answers and so far no one had treated him badly since he woke up.
"Okay." He nodded. Queen Minnie and Ariel smiled at him. The Princess offered her hand towards the child which he slowly took hold of. She gently pulled him to her side and wrapped an arm around his shoulder.
"Come along now. The King awaits you." Ariel said rubbing his shoulder soothingly she could feel his unease. The Queen and the others looked at the dragon.
"Thank you for looking out for him." Queen Minnie thanked with the dragon nodding.
"My pleasure, Queen Minnie. Perhaps later me and the little guy could talk some more. He does know how to please a dragon." She giggled making the others laugh while Jacob blushed again. The Dragon then leapt over the balcony's railing and disappeared.
"She had no wings!" Jacob gasped thinking he witnessed a dragons end.
"She's a dragon from Kumandra. Their race of dragons can fly in the ways of magic they possess. She's is just fine." Queen Minnie assured before stepping out of the room with Ariel following with Jacob in her warm hold leading him out of the bedroom.
Jacob followed without protest as what he was seeing was continuing to make his mind implode. Everywhere he looked as they walked through the halls and down a flight of stairs every minute he could see so many fascinating sights. Like the pictures from the bedroom, he woke from there so many different art pieces that depicted many figures in poses and displays some looked like they were at war or standing in victory. While others had hopeful images like weddings and the birthing of a child.
One picture caught his eye when he saw an image of the very woman that was leading him. It looked to be as if she was a mermaid in one half of the image while she is human in the other. Could it be that she was that?
Jacob also saw many peculiar sights as brooms with arms were walking about doing cleaning tasks. How could brooms have arms and move around let alone perform a duty? So many questions raced in his mind that he wouldn't be able to even know where to start.
After moving down three flights of stairs they came upon a hall that led to the throne room. Jacob was quite surprised to realize just how big the castle was. He was led into the grand hall with Queen Minnie and Ariel bringing him and he was greeted by many other women who wore regal dress's much like, Ariel's. They must be princess's too, and they were so beautiful. He didn't deserve to be in their presence he felt.
"Hello." He bowed his head nervously at the many royals in front of him. They all greeted him warmly.
"Welcome to the castle." One of them said.
"It is very pleasant to meet your acquaintance." Another one of them smiled at him. Each of them offered their hand and he graciously took them even though blushed by their kindness and the fact that he was in pajamas and not something more appropriate.
Queen Minnie had taken her place upon her throne right next to her King who looked rather distressed. He was glad to see that Jacob was there in the safest place he could be, but this will lead to many problems as they all knew from the meeting they had.
After Jacob was greeted fondly by the other princess's a soft chair was prepared for him by two brooms in front of the King.
"Jacob. Do come have a seat I am sure you have many questions to ask." King Mickey called to the boy who was still feeling greatly overwhelmed by the presence of so many beautiful and kind women. Jacob saw the King himself and took notice he too was a mouse. He was wearing a much grander crown and a more regal uniform.
He walked over to the King and only could bow his head in respect. If there was something anyone should do in the presence of royalty it was bow. King Mickey smiled as it seemed the boy had great manners even though he wouldn't have him bow to him just because he was king.
"Greetings to you. I am Mickey. King of this Domain and the center of all of Ethiopia." He greeted kindly as Jacob stood in front of him. "Please have a seat. And would you care for some tea?"
Jacob immediately sat down on the soft cushioned chair he was given. "Yes, please." A Broom carried a tray with cups of Tea upon it and gratefully took a tea cup filled with freshly made tea which tasted very sweet. It was the best tea he ever had, and he almost lost his mannerisms as he took more sips than he needed.
"Now what is your first question?" The King asked.
"Where am I exactly? Did you kidnap me?" Jacob asked unsure about asking if he should have asked that kind of question. They have been kind to him so far and they didn't seem nefarious, but he wanted to know if he was in any true danger here.
"You were nearly snatched by those that seek you. But thanks to the efforts of our friends, we managed to save you and we have brought you here where you can be safe for the time being until the danger is passed." King Mickey explained taking a soft sip of the tea he was given knowing this will be a long explanation.
"Why am I in danger? I didn't do anything wrong! At least I don't think I have." The Boy whimpered feeling heavy weights on his shoulders when he came to realize that what had happened to him not only was real but everything that happened before hand was all due to himself.
King Mickey shook his head. "No. You haven't done anything. Its what you have that our enemies want. The Pendent you carry." He pointed at the pendent around Jacob's neck.
"Why? Its just something I have had since I was little." Jacob inquired taking hold of the item he cherished as it was a reminder of the happy times he had wit his mother and father. The Time when they were a family.
"Its more than what you think. That pendent holds a great magic that is far beyond anything we have come to understand." King Mickey explained finishing his tea. "If any of our enemies take it then they will be able to spread a darkness across both our worlds and without anything to stop them. We all have stopped them before but now they more organized and under the leadership of the one who is the embodiment of all that is evil. The Magic your pendent has may turn the tide of this crisis but until we can find a way to use that power its best you stay where we can best protect you."
"Embodiment of evil?" Jacob quietly murmured closing his eyes for a moment. The Demon in his dream could that possibly be it? He wasn't sure and hoped that it surely wouldn't be true. "But what am I going to do now? What about my mom? She's busy a lot but if I am gone she will no doubt be worried about me!"
King Mickey gave the boy a reassuring smile. "Not to worry your mother will not know your somewhere else. Your Nanny and the fairies have come up with a plan that will make your mother unaware you're missing, and her safety is also our priority. We are looking out for her. I promise she will remain safe and you as well. As long as your remain here."
It gave Jacob some comfort to know that his mother would be safe and that she wouldn't notice his disappearance. If anything, he saw in these past few days were true then he could believe the words that were told to him. But the fact that he was a stranger in a place he did not know worried him. He looked down sadly feeling like he was convict just waiting to be imprisoned.
Queen Minnie saw the despair coming to the boys eyes. She left her throne and went up to the child taking his hand and patted it kindly. "Don't be sad, dear. We will make sure your stay with us is as comforting as possible. Anything you desire will be given to you. We have plenty of food to spare and all the accessories you will need. Cheer up, as everyone here is here for you." She gave him the sweetest smile that made the boy slowly curve his lips up.
"I…uh…thank you." Was all that Jacob could say through the tiny smile he gave. Then a noise alerted them to the wall where a large grandfather clock stood. It chimed at the hour of eight. The King and Queen then noticed the sky was very dim with what little of the sun remained.
"Goodness. Its already become the evening!" Queen Minnie gasped with Jacob letting out a tiny yawn. "Time for good little boys to go to bed. We shall continue our talk in the morning followed with breakfast."
The Revelations discovered by Jacob along with that terrible dream he had earlier exhausted his mind and for once he could use some sleep. He wouldn't argue there. Queen Minnie clapped her hands and broom came over and offered its hand to the boy who slowly took it rather uneasy to see brooms were acting like servants.
Everyone in the throne room all waved and wished the boy a good night and pleasant dreams as he was taken back up the many levels of the castle until he was back in the room he first woke up in. Tiny candlelight torches gave his room a bit of light while the open curtain to the balcony was still opened up allowing the moon that slowly was rising in the horizon to shine in what would be called his own bedroom in the castle.
He went to the bed and sat upon it. At first he was tired but being in the castle in another realm it seemed started to awaken his inner self. A Castle with so many things to see within it. Filled in with kind royalty and he was promised anything he could want while he stayed there. Perhaps he could do something fun before he would lay down but what could he do?
A Golden twinkle caught his eye that came from the balcony. He looked ahead to see something sparkling and glowing like a candle that floated in the air. It suddenly zipped towards him at a great speed that made him shut his eyes but then he opened them back up to see the glowing candle was not a candle at all but a very tiny woman wearing a green dress and was sparkling giving him a kind smile with wings that were flapping so softly he couldn't even hear the flap.
"Oh wow! Are you a pixie?" Jacob beamed remembering the fairy tales he was read when he was younger. Pixies were tiny little creatures.
"That's right!" A Cheery voice confirmed as a young teen suddenly flew right into the bedroom from the balcony catching Jacob completely by surprise.
"Whoa! You're flying and without wings!" Jacob gasped in marvel.
The Young man planted his feet down in front of Jacob standing with his hands on his hips standing proud with a big grin on his face. He wore a green tunic and a green bycockete with a red feather situated on the left-hand side of it and olive tights with a belt across them with sienna-colored shoes. He had a dagger in a sheath on the right side of his belt.
Taking a closer look, the one who was only a tad older than Jacob the boy noticed his ears were pointy indicating he wasn't exactly human, but his cheery voice indicated he must be friendly.
"Who are you?" Jacob asked as the pixie fly circles around the child making him giggle by her playfulness as sprinkles of golden dust fell from her.
"I'm the answer to your prayers. Peter Pan!" The Young teen introduced taking his hat off and bowed to Jacob. "And this is Tinker Bell!" He pointed with his thumb to the Pixie. "You look down. How about we go to a place where fun is abroad and thrills to behold. Get you out of this boring place."
Jacob didn't know about that. Surely he wanted to have some fun before bed but to leave the castle he didn't want to put himself in any danger. "I'm not sure about that." He looked away from him in thought.
"Come off it! I shall take you to Neverland! You will have a ton of fun and trust me the way to get there is just as exciting. Trust me kid! Ill look out for you there. Me and all the lost boys!" Peter Pan promised putting a hand over his heart. Tinker Bell winked at her friend before she floated over the boys head and showered him with more golden dust that made him giggle.
"What is that all about?" Jacob asked becoming a bit more cheerful by the pixies playfulness.
"You'll see. Now just think of some happy thoughts." Peter Pan told him crossing his arms knowing what will happen.
Jacob did what he was asked. He thought of candy. He thought of the fun holidays he had and the most important of all he thought of his mother and father when they were together, and they were a great family.
He felt himself lift off the bed without moving. He looked down and nearly yelped in shock but then he moved his hands up and he flew up to the ceiling.
"Hey! I can fly!" He laughed in absolute awe as he began to soar around the chandelier above and across the walls without any effort. He zipped across the bedroom with ease, and he laughed the entire time as he was light as a feather but flew like a bird.
"With a little faith and trust and some Pixie dust all your dreams come true!" Peter Pan grinned as he flew up to Jacob as they floated in the middle of the bedroom.
"This is amazing! I cannot describe this!" Jacob laughed as he flew in circles around the young teen with Tinker Bell chasing after him to all their joy and delight.
Jacob now was more than eager to go somewhere that would give him the most fun he has had in years. "Where did you want to take me?" He asked stopping mid-flight.
Peter Pan flew to the balcony and pointed to the starry sky. "To Neverland. The Second star to the right and straight on till morning! Come on! Here we go!" Peter flew out the balcony and Jacob quickly followed flying at great speed with ease with the pixie following beside him.
Jacob followed his new friend as they soared up into the sky with everything below becoming smaller and smaller by the second. The Boy could feel the clouds that were so soft and fluffy it tingled his fingers. The Wind in his face felt wonderful and the sights he saw below were indescribable. He couldn't wait to see what was next as he followed Peter Pan towards the star he pointed out as the twinkled brighter and brighter the closer they got and no matter what was going to happen Jacob was having fun and he eagerly awaited to see what was in store to the land where he was flying without any wings towards. If only his mother was there with him to join him. She would love it as much as he was now. Perhaps being in this realm wouldn't be so bad after all.
