I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the OC known as Danielle Hopkins. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.

Chapter Thirty-Two

It has been a few days since meeting Gwendolyn. Before she and Lilith had left, Gwendolyn had informed the girls about a human that had lived there once and that their diary was in the Bonesborough Library. The girls slap their heads, remembering that Malphas wanted to give them something, and realized that it could have been the diary. Thinking this would cheer Gus up in a way as well, the girls head towards Gus's house.

"Gustopher! Gusteban!" said Luz, as Gus opened the front door of his house. "Augustabeth! Any of those working for you?"

"You need my library card to visit Amity, don't you?" said Gus, looking at Luz.

"Actually, we thought you'd like to help us find a diary that belonged to a human that use to live here," said Danielle, looking at Gus.

"Human… diary," said Gus, intrigued. "I'm in."

"And doing a little bit of research," said Luz, walking down the street.

"Researching Amity, that is," said Danielle, whispering to Gus.

"No lovey dovey stuff," said Aster, hanging off Danielle. "Blegh."

"So, there's something in the Bonesborough Library pertaining to this human," said Gus, looking at Danielle and Luz.

"Eda's mom told us we're not the first human to have lived in Bonesborough," said Luz, looking at Gus as they walked down the street. "If that's true, there might be some info on how they got here in the library!"

"Yeah, okay," said Gus, looking at the ground. "Looking through old newspapers is about all I'm good for anyway."

"Still upset, aren't ya," said Danielle, seeing Gus nod his head "yes". "What if I told you I was bumped up a few school grades for a bit."

"You were?" said Gus and Luz, looking at Danielle.

"Back when I was in elementary. Nothing was really challenging me anymore," said Danielle, looking towards the sky. "So, I was placed a few grades ahead. I did not like it. Sure, I did exceptional with my grades but I felt so out of place. The only good thing was Ming and Ling's older brother Tao helping me. Mom and dad saw I wasn't really enjoying myself, and I was placed back in my original grade."

"But didn't you miss the challenge?" asked Gus, looking at Danielle.

"I did but what's the point if I couldn't enjoy myself," said Danielle, closing her eyes. "I missed my friends and the fun we had. I couldn't stand when the older kids cooed after me especially the girls wanting to play around with me. I don't know how many times I've hid under my desk."

"Maybe it's time for me to explore something new besides illusions," said Gus, looking ahead.

"What about glyphs?" asked Aster, looking at Gus. "You're smart, I bet you can figure out combos that Danielle and Luz haven't found yet."

"True," said Gus, before hearing a growl from down the street. "A Slitherbeast!"

"Braxas!" said Danielle, seeing the Slitherbeast heading towards Braxas.

"Nice try Beastie," said Aster, grabbing hold of the Slitherbeast. "Go back to the Knee."

"Nice work Aster," said Danielle, as the local animal control came by and took the Slitherbeast away. "You okay Braxas?"

"Yes, thank you," said Braxas, only to see his dad run over. "Dad."

"Son, are you okay?" asked Warden Wrath, before looking towards the girls, Aster and Gus. "Thank you for saving my son. I owe you."

"Impressive, for Hexside students," said Bria, walking over with Gavin and Angmar. "But we could've handled it just as well. This is Angmar. Gavin. I'm…"

"Not interested," said Mattholomule, walking over.

"Mattholomule?" said Gus, seeing Mattholomule.

"Hey, Augustus. Hey, Danielle, Luz, Aster," said Mattholomule, before looking at Bria. "Sorry, you three. Couldn't get the map. My brother has been very vigilant as of lately."

"Bummer," said Bria, before looking at Danielle and Luz. "Have you ever heard of the Galdorstones?"

"They're powerful relics," said Gavin, looking at Danielle, Luz, Aster and Gus. "Many witches and demons have sought them."

"But they've all returned empty-handed, haunted by its guardian," said Angmar, looking at Danielle, Luz, Aster and Gus.

"They're also key ingredients for Grimwalkers," said Aster, looking at Bria, Gavin and Angmar. "So, I'd leave those Galdorstones alone."

"Grimwalkers?!" said Bria, Gavin and Angmar, backing up slightly in fear.

"Yeah, Grimwalkers," said Aster, looking at the three.

"Oh, I think I hear my mom calling me. Bye," said Bria, running away alongside Gavin and Angmar.

"That got rid of them," said Mattholomule, before pulling out a map. "Also, I lied. I kinda want your guy's help in hiding the Galdorstones this time around."

"You lied!?" said Aster, glaring at Mattholomule.

"For good reasons," said Mattholomule, looking at Aster. "Me and Gus had a heck of a time the last two times this happened. Yeah, I remember. That's why I wanted to ask for more help this time around."

"Well, one of us can go to the library and get the diary and the other can go with Gus and Mattholomule," said Danielle, looking at everyone. "How's that?"

"What's at the library that's more important than the Galdorstones?" asked Mattholomule, staring at Danielle and Luz.

"A diary a human left here," replied Luz, looking at Mattholomule. "If we can find out how they got here…"

"Then you'll find a way home," said Mattholomule, looking at Danielle and Luz. "Ever thought about just moving here with your parents?"

"Er…" said Luz, looking at Mattholomule.

"We still have a life there, you know," said Danielle, looking at Mattholomule. "Just cause we're here doesn't mean…"

"Calm down there Danielle," said Luz, seeing Danielle was getting a little upset. "I'll go to the library and you go with Gus and Mattholomule. Hey, Aster, wanna come with?"

"Um…" said Aster, looking between Danielle and Luz. "I don't know. Danielle has yet to really get her magic back. I'm her little knight, so…"

"Aster, I don't want to pull you away from doing something you want to do," said Danielle, looking at Aster. "If you wanna go, go. This is your life. I don't want all your decisions focused on me."

"So, what you're trying to say is…" said Aster, looking between Danielle and Luz. "It's my choice, my decision and not being influenced by someone else. Is that it?"

"Yeah," said Danielle, looking at Aster.

"I would like to see the library and maybe get some books," said Aster, looking towards Luz. "But what about you? You can't access your magic still."

"I still have my glyphs, and I know how to fight," said Danielle, pulling some glyphs out. "I'm not completely defenseless."

"Okay then…" said Aster, looking towards Luz. "I'd like to go to the library than. I want some new reading material."

"Okay than," said Danielle, handing over the bag and tablet to Luz before pulling her in. "If anything happens to Aster…"

"Don't worry, it's just the library," said Luz, strapping the bag in place. "Let's go Aster. I bet we can find some good books for you. Oh, I know, how would you like to read my Azura books."

"Already read them," said Aster, looking at Luz. "Hey, can you tell me what Lumity is?"

"Danielle!" said Luz, turning around and seeing Danielle, Gus and Mattholomule already gone. "And she's gone."

As Luz and Aster head towards the library, Danielle and the boys head outside Bonesborough. Following the directions on the map, Mattholomule leads the two in the direction of Forearm Forest where the Galdorstones lay. Mattholomule was telling the two all that he remembered thus far while they traversed the Forearm Forest, not knowing they were being followed.

"First challenge was these brambles," said Mattholomule, looking at the thicket of brambles before them. "I'd rather not burn them this time around."

"Why not move them around us as we go," said Danielle, pulling out some Plant Glyphs. "I'm not Willow but surely this could work."

"That could work," said Mattholomule, as Danielle gave him and Gus some Plant Glyphs.

Setting off Plant Glyphs after Plant Glyphs as they traveled through the brambles, they finally reach the end of the brambles. Still traversing the Forearm Forest, Gus and Mattholomule had to cover Danielle's mouth when snakes were seen. It didn't take that much longer to find where the Galdorstones were, in the Looking Glass Ruins.

"Okay, this is giving me the heebie-jeebies," said Danielle, as they entered the ruins.

""The Phantom Bringer." "Aleth the Vision Creator"? "Khari the Mirage Maker,", said Gus, staring at the statues. "These are all illusionists. These aren't ruins. This is an illusionist graveyard."

"Graveyard! I should have picked the library," said Danielle, creeped out. "And now I'm in a horror movie setting."

"I guess you don't really like graveyards," said Gus, as Danielle gripped his and Mattholomule's arms hard. "Yup, you do not."

"Come on, we got to hide these," said Mattholomule, before a swarm of butterflies swarmed him. "Hey, what's going on?"

"Mattholomule!" said Gus, only to be encased in abomination goo.

"Gus! Mattholomule!" said Danielle, only to be encased in a pillar of stone. "Dangit!"

"Knew something was up," said Bria, walking forward with Gavin and Angmar. "Couldn't get the map… looks like you did Matty."

"Leave the Galdorstones be," shouted Mattholomule, as Bria went over to a Galdorstone.

"No can do," said Bria, before utilizing her magic to change the pillar into a stake and binding Danielle to it. "Heard you're a witch hunter. Let's see how you like what your people did to ours back in the day."

"No. Stop! Stop!" said Danielle, as Bria struck some flint to light a fire at the bottom of the stake.

"Danielle!" shouted Gus, as the flames started getting stronger

"Bria, stop!" shouted Mattholomule, before a mist blew in. "The old man."

"It's real! The guardian is real! And it's coming this way!" said Angmar, as he, Bria and Gavin hid behind a statue. "I heard it has the power to control weather."

"Okay, that's kinda cool looking," said Danielle, as the wind it kicked up blew out the flames. "Yes. And I can't reach my glyphs… perfect."

"Run!" shouted Gavin and Angmar, running out of the ruins.

"I never needed those losers anyway," said Bria, before seeing the landscape change. "Haha, cute. Huh? Why isn't my magic working?!"

"Looks like the guardian specializes in illusions," said Danielle, as Mattholomule gets her loose. "Thanks, Mattholomule. But where's Gus?"

"Helping the keeper with the illusion," replied Mattholomule, as Bria finally screams and runs out of the ruins.

"Keeper?" said Danielle, before seeing an elderly man walk out alongside Gus.

"That would be me, young lady," said the Keeper, walking over. "Had my memories and was waiting for these two for a while. Glad to see you two again."

"We'll can still come over on the weekends to build defenses around the place," said Mattholomule, looking at the Keeper. "But I don't want to keep the Galdorstones here while Belos is still in power. If only there was someplace, we could hide them till Belos is taken down."

"Well…" said Danielle, rubbing her wrists. "There is an uncharted island but only King can allow it. I could ask…"

"Yes, please do," said the Keeper, as Mattholomule got hold of the Galdorstones. "The further out of reach of Belos's hands, the better. I can't risk it should the emperor finds this place."

"I'll see what I can do," said Danielle, before looking at the statues. "And once Belos is dealt with, we'll return them to their resting places with their illusionists."

After having bagged the Galdorstones, Danielle and the boys bide farewell to the Keeper. Finding a path that led straight to the Owl House, Danielle and the boys talked to Eda when they got there. Eda could see where they were going and King had no problem with hiding the Galdorstones there. Getting the teleportation Glyph ready, Danielle says bye to the boys as they leave.

"Hey Danielle," said Aster, as he and Luz returned from the Bonesborough Library. "We got the diary. And a lot of books."

"Yeah, Malphas was able to go through all the books we brought from Adegast's place," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "The Plant Glyph was very helpful there."

"That's great," said Danielle, smiling.

"And a new little friend," said Luz, holding out an echo mouse.

"That's… great," said Danielle, staring at the echo mouse.

"It ate some of the diary," said Luz, looking at Danielle.

"It what! You little…" said Danielle, only for Aster to hold her back.

"Don't worry. It can actually play what it ate like a projection," said Luz, looking at Danielle than Eda. "What's going on here?"

"We're hiding these bad boys on that island where I found King," said Eda, gesturing to the bagged Galdorstones.

"And then once Belos is taken down, we'll return them," said Danielle, looking at Luz and Aster.

"So… we're going back to that tower," said Aster, looking concerned. "But the Sentinel…"

"Hopefully went back into hibernation," said Luz, shuddering.

"Well, everyone in," said Eda, activating the Teleportation Glyph. "And here we go."

"Yay, we're back…" said Danielle, as they stood outside the tower. "And it didn't hibernate."

"You leave my found family alone!" shouted King, as the Sentinel tries to attack. "What the… did it just listen to me?"

"I think you two can set the Hooty-zooka away," said Eda, seeing that the girls had Hooty positioned like a bazooka over their shoulders.

"Okay," said Danielle and Luz, as Hooty spat out the exploding potions. "Eew! Hooty!"

"Why would it listen to me?" asked King, wondering why the Sentinel listened to him.

"Cause it was your kind that made them," said Aster, looking at King. "It's probably still running on its orders from your dad."

"Oh. Well then…" said King, looking at Aster than towards the Sentinel. "I order you to leave my found family alone. They're good people. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for them."

"… …" said the Sentinel, pointing at Aster and Danielle.

"Yes! Aster and Danielle too," said King, gesturing to everyone. "Luz and Danielle are like my big sisters. Eda's like a mom. Aster is like one of my best friends…"

"Yes!" said Aster, happy and cheerful.

"And Hooty… well, he's Hooty," said King, looking at the Sentinel than pointing at the bagged Galdorstones. "We need to hide these here. Is that okay?"

"Looks like it," said Eda, slinging a bag over her shoulder. "No lifting Danielle. You're still healing."

"Come on," said Danielle, whining as everyone else lugged a bag of Galdorstones into the tower.

"Where should we place them?" asked Aster, looking around.

"How bout up there?" asked King, pointing to the caved in hole in the ceiling before looking at the Sentinel. "Think you can do something about those rocks?"

The Sentinel did as was told by removing the rocks. It held a firm stare on Danielle and Aster as everyone ascended up on Eda's staff. Finally reaching the top, everyone sees an empty room.

"I'd thought that there would be something up here," said Danielle, looking around before moving away from the Sentinel uneasily. "Stay right there big boy."

"There's gotta be…" said King, brushing his hand against the wall and seeing a reaction against the door. "Whoa…"

"Looks like we found an area," said Luz, as the hidden door opened and walking in. "Impressive… and mysterious."

"Eggshells?" said Danielle, looking at the pedestal in the center. "Wait… is this how your kind are born? From eggs?"

"Well, it's not like I'll be laying one," said King, looking at Danielle. "Once I'm older and find a female of my race…"

"Actually, your race doesn't always need a mate to have babies," said Aster, looking at King. "Something along the line of having both parts."

"Weh!" said King, holding his tail between his legs. "You mean, I can have… ugh, too much information."

"Okay, let's leave the Galdorstones here," said Eda, placing the bagged Galdorstones down. "Not like anyone can get in here without King."

"Point taken," said Danielle and Luz, looking at Eda.

"Well since this Sentinel listens to me…" said King, pointing at the Sentinel. "Can we keep him?"

"No!" replied Eda, the girls and Aster, staring at King.

"Yes!" said Hooty, wrapping around the women and Aster.

Leaving the Galdorstones on the uncharted island, Eda and the girls draw up the Teleportation Glyph. King and Aster activate it and everyone reappears in the Owl House. Turns out the Sentinel went immobile the moment it left the tower. Calling it a night everyone heads to bed.

"It's too bad Jean-Luc stopped moving outside the ruins," said King, staring at the immobile Stone Sentinel in the corner of the room. "I liked having a big, scary minion."

"I'm going to have nightmares tonight," said Danielle, staring at the Stone Sentinel uneasily.

"Me too," said Aster, glaring at the Sentinel.

"Well, night King," said Danielle and Luz, kissing King on the top of his head. "Night Aster."

"Yeah! Goodnight, Luz, Danielle and Aster," said King, looking at the girls and Aster. "Don't forget Francois."

"Alright," said Danielle and Luz, kissing Francois as well.

"Now, Jean-Luc," said King, pointing at the Stone Sentinel.

"You're pushing your luck there," said Danielle, eyeing King.

"I wonder what King will think when I tell him the truth," thought Aster, as everyone was falling asleep. "I don't want to lose him as a friend."

Owl Pellet #61

""Otabin spend his days alone amongst the many books he'd sewn. With needle and thread..."" said Danielle, reading a book to Aster. ""...the pages he'd mend. But all the while he longed for a friend.""

"And I finally got some," said Aster, snuggling into Danielle. "I'm glad I got you and the others as friend. Thanks for taking me out of the castle."

"You're welcome, Aster," said Danielle, hugging Aster. "I'm glad to have you and the others as friends as well."

Owl Pellet #62

"I wonder how much longer till I'm let out," said Aster, staring up at the night sky. "I've been good, haven't I?"

"You have been exceptionally well," said Danielle, looking at Aster.

"Danielle," said Aster, not noticing Danielle walk into the room. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah," replied Danielle, climbing out the window. "I believe we'll let you out sooner than you think. I can feel it, as long as nothing derails us."

"Yeah!" said Aster, excited. "I'll finally be out soon. And I finally get to be able to taste your cooking. And help you with your magic better."

"Does it still…" said Danielle, looking at Aster.

"You need a lot of work, like a lot," said Aster, looking at Danielle. "But soon you'll be able to do it as well as anyone else."

"I look forward to it," said Danielle, lying down on the roof. "But right now, let's enjoy watching the stars for now."

"Okay," said Aster, lying down on the roof as well.
