Walking beside his friend with a laid-back demeanor, his hands casually clasped behind his head, he exuded a sense of calmness and nonchalance. His friend, appearing equally bored yet relishing in the tranquility, complemented the atmosphere with his like-minded mood. The silence between them hung heavily in the air, a moment filled with a mutual understanding and a shared sense of inner peace.

The tranquility was disrupted as he spotted a group of girls, prompting him to break into a smile. With a burst of excitement, he shouted "Yo, Sakura!" without wasting a moment, sprinted over to the group. The sudden change in his energy and enthusiasm became apparent as he eagerly approached them, his eyes fixed on this Sakura individual.

His friend, witnessing the unfolding scene, shook his head with a mix of resignation and amusement. He was well aware of his friend's outgoing and extroverted nature, knowing all too well what was about to unfold. As he watched his friend rush towards the group of girls with Sakura in the mix, he prepared for the whirlwind of socializing that was sure to follow.

As the boy approached Sakura and her friends, the entire group halted in their tracks. Standing before them, "Hey Sakura, how's it going" he casually greeted Sakura with a friendly greeting, only to be met with an exasperated sigh. The girl named Sakura responded with a slightly annoyed tone, her patience clearly worn thin. "Yes, Naruto, what do you want?", her words tinged with irritation. With this exchange, the boy finally made his acquaintance known, his name now revealed as Naruto.

Naruto's wide grin remained undaunted by Sakura's annoyance as he boldly asked her out. "How about a date later?" he inquired, his eagerness evident. In response, Sakura could only shake her head in frustration. "Honestly, Naruto," she vented, her words carrying a sense of weariness. "This is exactly what I mean. You have no tact at all." Her words emphasized her ongoing struggle with his lack of subtlety and finesse in romantic situations, further adding to her growing frustration with his behavior.

"What? What do you mean tact?" He asked her.

Naruto's confusion led him to turn to Ino for clarification. "Ino, what is she talking about?" he exclaimed, not understanding Sakura's critique. However, Ino remained firmly annoyed, pointing at him as she retorted, "Don't talk to me, Uzumaki. I'm still mad at you for swiping my pen." Her response showed her continued anger, a testament to her unresolved grievance against him related to her missing pen.

"Hey, I gave it back!" He exclaimed

Naruto's defense was met with Ino's rebuttal, her words carrying a hint of irritation. "Yeah, after you hacked the backend to it!" she retorted. This revelation deepened her annoyance, adding a layer of frustration to their ongoing disagreement. Ino's decision to turn her back on him symbolized her refusal to engage further, her body language speaking volumes about her stance on the matter.

With a roll of his eyes at Ino's continued attitude as they always argue in class but it didn't bother him in the least bit, Naruto then shifted his attention to Tenten, seeking another perspective. "Well, what about you, Tenten? Do you also think I have no tact?" he asked, only to be answered with a chuckle and a shrug.

"I don't know, Naruto, but Neji does seem to get pretty annoyed whenever your name is brought up."

Tenten's response piqued his curiosity, as she mentioned Neji's annoyance at the mere mention of Naruto's name. Her revelation made her giggle.

"Ugh, that guy"

His muttered grievance about Neji momentarily consumed his thoughts, but as he turned his attention to the final girl in the group, his focus quickly shifted. His gaze met her lavender eyes, the depth of her dark blue hair capturing his attention. It was in that moment that he realized he hadn't even noticed her presence before, her quiet demeanor overshadowing her striking features. The unexpected squeak she let out, seemingly flustered by his intense regard, only magnified his intrigue.

His eyes remained fixated on her, observing the subtle transformation in her appearance. The way her ivory skin flushed, tinged with a bright red blush, added to her allure. The brief moment of silence was interrupted by Naruto's racing thoughts as he frantically tried to recall her identity. The realization that he had no clue who this captivating girl was intensified his curiosity and desire to learn more about her.

The atmosphere between them grew charged with tension, her heart racing and a shiver of goosebumps traversing her skin. Unconsciously, her fingers began fidgeting with each other, an involuntary response to her mounting nervousness and excitement. As her cheeks flushed an even deeper shade of red, her growing blush only served as a testament to the undeniable impact Naruto's gaze had on her.

Just as Naruto was about to speak, Sakura came to the mysterious girl's rescue, swiftly shooing him away.

"Okay, Naruto, that's enough," she said, her voice firm. "You can leave now. Go on, shoo, oh and do say hi to Sasuke for me,"

she concluded, leaving little room for further interaction. Caught off guard, Naruto's thoughts were muddled as the push from Sakura snapped him out of his trance-like state. With a brief moment of confusion, he found himself stumbling backward, his focus momentarily lost.

He remained rooted to the spot, watching the girls continue their journey down the street. As he replayed Sakura's words in his mind, the mention of Sasuke failed to elicit the usual irritation that typically accompanied the mere mention of his name. Instead, a feeling of confusion and wonderment washed over him, leaving him with a whirlwind of thoughts. In the midst of his confusion, his friend approached, his presence providing a momentary distraction.

"What's with that look on your face?" Sasuke's voice broke through the silence, his casual remark tinged with a hint of amusement and curiosity. He observed his friend's demeanor, knowing all too well about his frequent rejections. Yet, this time, something seemed different, as the impact of the situation appeared to be much deeper. "Did you get rejected that badly by her?" he inquired, his tone betraying a subtle mocking. Despite the teasing remark, there was a flicker of concern in his eyes, masked behind his usual composed exterior.

"What, no," Naruto responded, an momentary irritation in his tone before his focus shifted back to the departing group of girls. His gaze trained on a specific girl, a mix of curiosity and intrigue evident in his expression. Directing a pointed finger towards the group, he turned to Sasuke, his voice laced with fascination. "Hey... Who is that girl?" He posed the question, eagerly seeking answers about the captivating presence who had captured his attention and left him momentarily speechless.

Sasuke's eyebrow arched in slight interest as he followed Naruto's gaze, his eyes landing on the figure in question. With a bemused expression, he closed his eyes and shook his head, muttering under his breath, "You really are an idiot." The remark carried a mixture of mild frustration and affectionate exasperation, a response that reflected his familiarity with Naruto's often whimsical nature

"Hey!"

Naruto's defensive response was cut off by Sasuke's explanation, who continued speaking with an authoritative tone. "That's Hinata Hyuga," Sasuke clarified, "daughter to the head of the Hyuga clan, and she's also been our classmate for the past two years. How you've managed to overlook her for so long is beyond me." His words carried a hint of amazement at Naruto's apparent obliviousness to her presence in their class.

"Wow... So she must be like royalty, then," Naruto mused, his gaze following the path of the departing group. With a sudden realization, he brought his attention back to Sasuke. "Wait, Hyuuga... does that mean she's related to that jerk, Neji?" The mention of the name 'Neji' instantly triggered Naruto's irritation, his face contorting in annoyance at the memory of their previous encounters.

Sasuke's smirk widened as he nodded, confirming the news. "Yeah, I heard it through the grapevine. She's actually his cousin," he replied, unable not to relish in Naruto's growing annoyance. Naruto's frown deepened at the revelation, his distaste for Neji only intensifying. "How can someone like her be related to someone like him?" he grumbled, his irritation palpable.

...With the girls...

As the girls continued their trek down the sidewalk, Sakura couldn't help but notice the lingering pink hue in Hinata's cheeks. Concern etched her features as she turned to her friend and inquired, "Are you okay, Hinata?" Surprisingly, Hinata simply smiled and nodded in response, her expression reassuring Sakura that she was indeed alright.

Sakura sighed once more, her annoyance evident. "Honestly," she muttered to herself, "what did you even see in him, Tenten?" She shifted her gaze to Tenten, hoping for a more sensible explanation. But Tenten only chuckled and shrugged, offering a nonchalant response. "Well, he's my neighbor, so we grew up together," she replied matter-of-factly. "And besides he can be pretty funny and cute when he want to be," she added with a smirk, her nonchalant demeanor contrasting with Sakura's disapproval.

As Tenten's words echoed in the air, Hinata's attention was piqued. Her eyes widened slightly as she absorbed the information about Naruto's past relationships. Despite her curiosity, she chose to remain silent, her thoughts quietly swirling within her mind. However, considering Tenten was a friend, Hinata refrained from voicing her questions and kept her intrigue to herself.

Hinata's heart experienced a mixture of emotions as Tenten's words registered in her mind, a pang of disappointment at the realization of not being the first, followed by a tinge of relief that the relationship had not prevailed. A delicate blend of jealousy and sadness tinged with a glimmer of hope stirred within her, creating a complex array of feelings as she silently processed the information.

Despite her rational mind whispering that it might not be appropriate to feel this way, Hinata could not fully suppress her emotions. Having harbored feelings for the lovable, humorous dork for the past two years, her cheeks flushed with a rosy hue, and sparkles danced in her eyes unconsciously. Silently, she walked beside her friends, attempting to mask her inner turmoil behind a composed exterior.
