We emerged from the galley just in time. "All hands to stations! Smartly now!" Arrow hollered from his spot. The crew is running around the deck, climbing up the shrouds. I stepped onto the deck to get a better view of the show. "Loose all solar sails!" The first mate commanded.

I watched the many white sails unfurl, ready to soak up the sunlight. I looked away for a brief moment hearing an annoyed shout. A small crew member bumped into Jim. "You okay?" I asked.

"I'm fine." He said. The engines came to life and the ship startled rising from the docks. Jim and I looked over the edge and saw the spaceport getting smaller. "Whoa." I whispered. The view from up here is incredible.

"Heave up the braces!" Arrow barked. "Brace up!" I looked up just in time to see the sails start soaking up the sunlight. They seemed to have a gold lining from the energy. Jim took off running and I followed him, knowing where he was heading. We stopped at the bottom of the main mast, seeing lights scatter down from the sails. It means that the engines are gaining more fuel.

The ship rose higher into the sky. I began having a weird feeling in my gut. I could see a few hair strands starting to float from the corner of my eye. The next thing I knew, the ground was inches underneath me. We had went high enough in the sky for gravity to have no effect. I giggled at the weird feeling of zero gravity. I'm sure that I smiled more in these past few days than in my whole life. I turned and saw Jim floating too. "This is amazing!" I said, throwing my hands up in the air.

"Mr. Zoff, engage artificial gravity!" Amelia ordered. A quick flash of purple light rippled through the deck like an ocean wave. Both Jim and I fell from the air and landed on the deck. He landed on his feet while I landed on my butt, a bit too hard for my liking. I huffed in pain as I stood up. I'll get over it. I regret not seeing Delbert face plant on the deck. The ship turned a certain degree. We were about to set off.

Jim and I ran to the shrouds and just as the ship launched itself into space, he hopped onto the ropes while I held onto the ledge. If I hadn't, I would've fallen onto my behind again. I watched in amazement as the day sky turned into outer space. The manta ray were flying by as we left the port. "Hey." I heard Jim say. I looked up at him and he was motioning over. "Get up here."

"I don't know if I can. I'm not sure we're allowed to." I said. I looked around, unsure of what to do.

"You won't get in trouble."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive."

Though I was still hesitant, I climbed onto the ropes. I almost slipped but Jim grabbed a hold of my wrist. I did my best to stifle the flinch that came reflexively. I stood next to Jim, watching the creatures fly by. I saw Jim climbing a little higher and I followed, being careful to keep my balance and hold on tightly. One slip and it can be my end. I looked out into the Etherium and took in the sight of the sparkling stars. This is something not everyone can say that they've seen. I couldn't help but glance around, hoping that no one would yell at us for getting on the shrouds.

"Whoa." Jim mumbled. I looked in his direction and gasp at what I saw. Coming out of the nebula like clouds were giant space whales. They had white and dark blue coloring with red spots around the eyes and fins. Their tails were equipped for the winds and fluttered like sails in the wind's currents. They let out a call and the pod was moving ahead and around the boat. They surrounded us and seeing them up close is something.

I looked up. "Jim look!" I said, pointing up at the crow's nest. He looked up and we both saw one of the whales sailing over the crow's nest. I was completely fixated on the whale above that I didn't notice another guest. I felt a nudge and turned at Jim. He pointed ahead and my jaw dropped at the whale that close to the ship. It was so close that I could probably touch it. I wanted to but I knew better than to touch wild animals. I didn't know what reaction it would have if a twelve year old girl did touch it but I didn't want to risk anything bad. It looked at us before rejoining its pod.

"That was amazing." I said watching them fly out of sight. That is something I know I can never forget. Heck, the past few days have been full of things I will never forget until the day I die. I then turned to Jim. "But we better get down. Silver probably has something for us to do."

Jim sighed. "Yeah, you're right. Probably should get off before your nerves explode." He said. While we were looking at the whales, I noticed that he seemed happier than before in the time I knew him. This trip will do him some good. I can only hope that this trip will have the same effect on me. We started climbing down when we heard a voice summoning us.

"Jimbo! Em!" Silver said. We both looked at him. I knew what task he was going to give us. The cyborg held his hands behind his back, trying to throw us off course. "I got two new friends I'd like you two to meet." Jim looked around trying to see them but I stared at Silver, unamused. 'Please just get it over with.' I thought. Jim then looked at Silver, probably wondering who they are.

"Say hello to Mr. Mop and Mrs. Bucket." The cyborg said. He threw us each a mop and bucket and laughed at his own joke. Unfortunately, these are 'acquaintances' I knew all too well.

"Yippee." Jim said.

"Joy." I mumbled.
