Kalego held his small brief case as he flew through the air towards Babylus. After an entire month, his leave of absence, or no-longer-secret paternity leave has come to an end.

Ever since Sullivan and Opera discovered his secret, they made a habit of coming by every few days after school to check in and play with little Iruma. Every weekend, Asuna and Kalego come to the Chairdemon's home where the newly appointed grandpa already set up the baby's room for whenever they visit. Sullivan proved to be every bit of a fun and doting grandpa to Iruma and would often present him with toys and hold him close. On some of those occasions, Balam would come by with tea and converse with Kalego and Asuna and read to Iruma his new books he made for the baby. Opera, with Asuna's guidance, learned how to take care of Iruma's needs. Initially, it was out of duty, but they soon became enamored by the little infant who was just a bundle of sunshine and joy in the normally empty mansion. Whenever the hellcat wasn't taking care of Iruma of performing their duties to the Chairdemon, they'd spend time with Asuna in the kitchen, teaching her all kinds of dishes and cuisines in the Netherworld. Asuna genuinely enjoyed learning how to cook with Opera. She considers them a fun teacher to hang out with even though she has to act as the buffer between the hellcat and hellhound. But despite the changes in their lives, everything felt peaceful and happy for this family.

Kalego touched down on the school grounds before entering through the gates. He sighed as he wandered through the familiar halls of Babylus. It was quiet, for now, and he needed to attend a teachers' staff meeting before classes begin. By now, everyone in the school knows about his 'secret family' thanks to the Chairdemon bragging about it over the intercom one day during Balam's classes. Oh, how he wants to strangle his boss.

The Guard Dog of Babylus groaned internally, he is not looking forward to today, the questions, the badgering; he can already feel that headache coming on. Perhaps it's not too late to turn tail and fly back home.

The morning he got ready to leave, Asuna was already up and making breakfast with Iruma sleeping in his bassinet not too far away. It was pleasant for all three of them and will be the last time they'll spend time together before he leaves for work for a day. Before he went out the door, Asuna gave him a packed lunch and said, "Good luck today." A simple yet warm farewell before he left for school.

Kalego stood outside the teachers' staff room, summoning his patience before he opened the door and entered.

Dali looked up and grinned upon seeing his former pupil. "Hey everyone, Kalego's back!" He announced as he stood up then approached the teacher.

"Welcome back Professor Kalego. Did you miss us?" Dali asked, still grinning at the scowling teacher.

"No."

"Oh, come on, after everything we've been through and the trouble I went through as your mentor?" Dali asked, giving him a 'woeful' expression.

Kalego's blank look was his answer before he dropped his act.

"Good to know fatherhood hasn't diminished your spirit." Dali said, grinning widely as Kalego's scowl deepened. "I also hear you've got yourself a beautiful wife. Well, tell us, is she really as sweet as the Chairdemon says? Come on, we need details!" He poked at Kalego, eager to know the kind of woman who is able to withstand the mean and scary professor of Babylus.

"That is none of your business." Kalego growled low in his throat before he set Dali with a glare, "What I want to know however is who among the staff told my secret."

Dali took a step back and crossed his arms, "Sorry, but I have no clue who-" Kalego whipped out Netherworld currency equivalent to fifty bucks, "It was Marbas." Dali quickly said as he snatched the money from Kalego's hand.

The Torture Arts teacher paled at being sold out before he opened the window beside him to escape. But before he could fly away, Cerberus picked him up by the back of his uniform with his teeth. The demon helplessly flailed withing the beast's jaws.

"Pick a God and say your prayers." Kalego said with a vengeful smile that terrified the entire staff, especially his victim.

Poor Marbas could only cry as he was subjected to torment Kalego-style.

By the time lunch hour came, Kalego gracefully fell in his chair with a groan. The last five hours were filled with pestering questions of how he acquired a wife, who she was, how they met, if he was sure the baby was his; the last one nearly caused him to sic Cerberus onto that particular student. The mystery behind the woman who enchanted the strictest demon in the Netherworld has been the hot topic of the school for students and teachers alike.

He opened his bento box Asuna gave him, as he removed the lid, he noticed something taped inside the top. He removed the folded piece of paper and opened it.

You'll be okay. You got this.

-Asuna

Kalego allowed a small smile on his face. A few words on one little note to give him strength. Asuna knew today would be trying, so she's showing her support to let him know he's not alone in this.

"A little love note from the missus?" Dali slid up behind him with Orias and Tsumuru. All three of them saw the note and couldn't help but go 'awe'.

Kalego choked on his saliva as he quickly stashed the paper in his pocket. "That's none of your business!" He growled as the teachers sat at the table with him.

"Hey, we're not judging. We think it's really sweet." Tsumuru said with a friendly smile as he sat beside the stoic man.

"Yeah, from how Marbas described her when he saw you two at the baby store, she sounds like a very warm and caring person. You lucky thieving bastard." Orias praised Kalego who scowled at all of them before he attempted to eat his food. Asuna's cooking has improved with Opera's help, it tastes delicious.

"So, tell us, where did you steal her from?" Dali leaned forward across from Kalego with an excited grin.

"That's classified." Kalego simply said as he tried his best to ignore them.

"Oh, come on, we need to know how the great and terrifying Kalego managed to snag himself a sweet and gentle wife." Dali whined childishly, much to Kalego's annoyance.

"She's not my wife. We have a child together and we respect each other." Kalego said, his heart aching at the denial he spoke.

This caught Dali's attention, "Is that so?" An opportunist smile crawled onto his face, "In that case, you wouldn't mind if I take her out on-"

Cerberus appeared behind Kalego, sending Orias and Tsumuru out of their chairs and onto the ground. The hellhound bared his teeth and glared murderously at his former mentor, "If you dare finish that sentence, or even commit to it, I'll end you." He threatened as lightning crackled throughout the room.

Dali raised his hands up in surrender, "Relax, I was only joking. Mostly." He muttered to himself as Tsumuru and Orias crawled further away from the raging teacher.

"What do you mean 'mostly'?" Kalego questioned before Dali pulled out his phone and showed him a picture.

Kalego felt his insides freeze at the photo presented to him; it was Asuna sitting on the seat at the window with her legs bent towards the ceiling as she held Iruma who was propped up against her thighs facing his mother. Both of them happy and content as they watched each other, unaware of the person taking their picture.

"Where did you get that?" Kalego seethed as Dali stared at the photo with a smirk.

"The Chairdemon sent it to every teacher on staff. He wanted to show everyone his 'beautiful new daughter and adorable grandson'." Dali chuckled, "I gotta say, Marbas' description did her no justice. I mean, that is a Fertility Goddess." He praised as he stared at Asuna's serene smile, "I don't blame you for hiding her. Any man would do the same to keep other demons from stealing her."

The phone was snatched out of his hand by Kalego who pressed the button to delete the picture.

"Hey!" Dali exclaimed as the phone was tossed back to him. "I liked that picture." Dali whined when he realized the beautiful woman is no longer in his phone.

"Be happy I gave it back to you in one piece." Kalego then turned to Orias and Tsumuru, "That picture better not be in your phones either."

The two teachers quickly whipped their phones out and deleted it in case Kalego destroys their precious devices.

"And here we thought you having a family would make you less mean." Dali pouted as Kalego resumed eating his lunch.

By midafternoon, Kalego returned home. This entire day was the most trying out of all the years he worked as a teacher. He kept glancing at the clock every few hours, willing the hands to go faster so he can leave the school.

Kalego breathed a sigh of relief and allowed himself to finally relax as he stepped into his home. It was quiet, too quiet for his liking. He made his way through the house, checking the library for a moment before he went into the nursery and saw Asuna passed out in her chair and Iruma napping.

Kalego smiled a little at the familiar sight, Asuna really has a bad habit of falling asleep in uncomfortable positions. He quietly approached her and cupped her cheek, "Asuna, I'm home." He gently nudged her awake.

Asuna mumbled incoherently as she opened her blue eyes to see Kalego in front of her. She blinked multiple times before she rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand as Kalego pulled back. "Welcome home."

Kalego glanced at the sleeping Iruma, he felt at peace watching their little one like this.

Asuna stood up, massaging her neck as she stared at their baby with a tired smile on her face, "He wore himself out crying."

"Hm?" Kalego turned to her with a questioning gaze, noticing her frazzled state compared to her normally serene demeanor.

Asuna laid a hand in the crib's rails, "He woke up earlier and saw you were gone and threw a fit."

Kalego felt a sting of guilt realizing he caused that, "I am so sorry."

Asuna gave him a reassuring smile, "This was going happen eventually. He's so used to seeing his father around he became fretful when you weren't here. Poor thing."

Kalego looked down at their son and noticed how Iruma's face became from crying.

"What about you? You had to deal with more children." Asuna asked gently when she noticed his stress.

Kalego sighed quietly, "Just the usual if not more. I feel like I'm the only adult at the school. Not even the teachers were mature."

Asuna rubbed his back comfortingly, "Looks like we all had a rough first day."

Kalego could not disagree with her there.

Iruma's face scrunched up as he moved his little arms around before they slowly opened and saw both of his parents standing over him. Upon seeing the dark-haired man, the little one began reaching his arms out to him.

Kalego let out a small chuckle as he reached down and picked Iruma up, holding him close as the baby nuzzled his chest. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting."

Asuna smiled at the sight, though she was exhausted, she can't complain considering who Kalego had to deal with the entire day.

"I'll go make some tea." Asuna announced as both parents and child left the nursery.

While Asuna prepared a kettle, Kalego held his son who stared back at him content and happy to see his father again. Kalego relaxed as he glanced at Asuna, though her stance looked tired, she still carried that vibrant and serene aura around her as though to let everyone know it's safe. Being at back at Babylus confirmed one thing, Asuna and Iruma are by far his favorite adult and child to be around.
