Rick was going on a search for Randall with Shane, Glenn and Daryl while T-Dog stayed behind with the rest of the group. Zayla was doing another search around the Farm to ensure Randall was gone with Maggie by her side. They came up empty-handed, but Daryl and Glenn were coming back around the time they were done. Glenn reported that they found Randall as a Walker, but that noticed the man wasn't bitten…

Shane and Rick were still out there and according to Lori, her son was now missing too, but the bigger problem was the approaching horde on the horizon as night crept up on them. Daryl voiced his doubts about them being able to fend off something of that size, but Hershel was firm when he said that he would die on his family farm. Acting quickly, they came up with a plan to use all their ammo to kill off as many as they could, then use the cars to lure the rest away from the house.

Led by Daryl's motorcycle, the caravan makes its way to the barn, shooting Walkers as they go. A battle between the survivors and the undead breaks out. Glenn fends off many walkers using Shane's Mossberg shotgun and his car for travel with Maggie in the driver's seat. Andrea also contributes, with T-Dog driving both in Daryl's truck. Daryl, noticing the barn fire, assumes that either Rick or Shane is responsible. He sent Glenn to aid Rick in Dale's RV. Glenn, Rick and Carl jump on the RV's rooftop as Walkers surround the vehicle, running into the woods.

The fighting at the farm was coming to a finish on the survivors' end as they began running out of ammo. Zayla was down to her arrows and had Carol in her sights as the jade-eyed woman shot down Walkers beside her. She whistled for Hellboy three times, hoping the stallion could hear her over the commotion when Carol announced she was out of ammo. Hellboy came running onto the scene and kicked four Walkers away from the women while they mounted him, rearing when they did. Carol tightly held onto Zayla as the stallion began running into the woods, the growling of Walkers getting farther away as he galloped. After about 20 minutes, they found themselves on the Highway where they lost Sophia and they heard the rumbling of a motorcycle. They stopped and a moment later, Daryl came riding to a halt next to them with T-Dogg, Sophia, Lori and Beth in the truck. Rick, Carl, Glenn and Hershel come riding in a few minutes later, but as they waited, Maggie eventually joined them.

After a short reunion, Rick told everyone that Shane had killed Randall and that he plotted to lure him into the field to kill him, so Rick killed him before that could happen. He confirmed what Shane told them about what he saw on TV about the Virus, how they were all carrying it because of how Shane turned. He then admitted that Carl shot down a reanimated Shane and that made the youngest Grimes member cry while Lori seemed horrified by the news.

"Maybe you people are better off without me." Rick announced, encouraging them to leave him, as everyone looked at him in shock at his admission. "I say there's a place for us, but maybe it's another pipe dream. Maybe...maybe I'm fooling myself again. Why don't you go and find out yourself? Send me a postcard. Go on, there's the door. You can do better? Let's see how far you get."

"No takers?" Rick asks the group and silence followed. "If you're staying, this isn't a democracy anymore."
