Percy's POV
Dream Sequence
I was standing on the field of Mars, and I was annoyed because I knew I was about to see dirt face again. This is where she loved to visit me in my dreams.
One of the mountains started to take the shape of a face and I thought "Finally, took her long enough. If she is gonna torture me in a dream the least she could do is get here on time"
"Hello Perseus," she said. I groaned at the use of my full name. She continued "You are one of the more level-headed heroes on this quest Perseus, I wish to change that. By the end of this war, I will break you, make you lose control and there will be nothing that can be done to calm you" she smiled sinisterly when she finished talking.
I scowled "That will not happen Gaea, there is nothing you can do to break me"I responded
"We will see young hero we will see" She said before my dream faded to black.
End of Dream Sequence
I heard a noise and was instantly awake.
Piper's POV
The air shift had just ended and I was sent to get Percy. The air shift consisted of me, Jason, Leo, and sometimes Annabeth.
I was walking to Percy's cabin and opened the door when I looked inside it was not what I expected.
Leo had some magic put on the rooms so they were the size you needed to accommodate all your stuff, and Percy's room was pretty big.
There were a few training dummies in one corner and ample room for sword training. On the other side of the room, the wall was covered in pictures.
One photo had about forty demigods I recognized from camp half-blood and then a few hunters of Artemis. Another had Percy, Annabeth, and Grover all standing at Thalia's tree. They all looked about twelve so I guessed this was their first quest.
There were a few dozen more that littered the walls on the floor there was a medium-sized dresser and then a bed. On the bed I noticed Percy and what surprised me was that he had regular clothes on with his armor on over top of them.
As I stepped into his room the floor creaked and Percy was up in a flash with Aestus drawn. When he saw me he relaxed and capped his sword.
"Time for my shift I assume" he asked I nodded and as he was getting up I asked "Why do you sleep in armor?" he replied "So that if there's an attack I am prepared, I can't afford to get caught off guard that's how my friends die," he said the last part rather sulkily.
"You consider us your friends" I questioned. He looked at me confused for a second "Yeah, I guess." he replied.
"You said your friends died because you were caught off guard, what do you mean?" I asked. He sighed before answering " I have failed so many of my friends either because I wasn't strong enough, wasn't fast enough. I wasn't ready and that cost the lives of my friends. I blame myself for each of their deaths because if I had been ready they would be alive."
I looked at him shocked the guy who seemed to distance himself from the others on the ship was actually the person who cared for everybody to a fault i realized all the death rested on his shoulders like the sky did on Atlas's.
"Im sorry" was all i could say. He nodded and then went to take his shift.
Percy's POV
After me and Pipers had talked I realized how far I had distanced myself from the Greek demigods on the ship. I needed to work on that if I wanted to be able to trust them, and them to be able to trust me.
I walked onto deck, it was a beautiful day sunny the waves were calm. I saw Annabeth and walked over to her and tapped her shoulder.
She spun around and looked at me curiously, probably because this was the first time I made an effort to talk to her this whole time.
"Can we talk for a minute?" I asked. She nodded and we went to the bow of the ship.
Once there I said "Annabeth at one point you were one of my best friends, I don't like you as I did after the Titan war, but I would like us to return to being friends" She looked at me for a second before saying "Ok, i understand. I would like us to be friends again."
I was glad that was done. It had been an awkward trip for me so far. I would pick fighting Chryasor again to having this awkwardness around for any longer.
We were only about 18 hours away from Rome. I couldn't wait to see Nico. I am sure that he was not having a good time in the jar.
Reyna's POV
The legion was standing in formation waiting for Mercury to take us to Long Island the home of the Greek camp better known as Camp Half-Blood.
Some of my legionnaires were not happy with that name as they thought it was a racial slur at first although Thalia assured them that it was not.
There was a blinding flash and before us stood two Olympians Diana and Mercury. The legion bowed while the Hunters stood at attention waiting for their mistresses' orders.
As me and the Romans rose Mercury started speaking saying "Romans I will be transporting you to the Greek camp where the gods are expecting Peace" emphasizing the word peace before continuing "The Hunters will try to maintain the peace as well as Praetor Reyna. The Greek trainer Chrion will also be attempting to keep the peace. And yes it is Chiron the centaur."
He clapped his hands and immediately we were all engulfed in an almost blinding light before we appeared on a hill.
Thalia walked up to me and pointed at a pine tree "That used to be me, so if they refer to it as Thalia tree that's why." I looked at her with the most confused face I could and she laughed.
I signaled the legion to follow me up to the border of the camp and Thalia did the same with the Hunters. The Greeks that had been at the Roman camp followed us to the top and went off to their respective groups.
As we walked up I saw all the assembled demigods there looked to be about 500(i am not sure what the auctual number was) whereas the legion had about 1000(again not sure about those numbers)
Chiron was at the head of the campers waiting to greet us. Once we got there I shook his hands and he announced "Welcome to camp half blood, We have cleared out a space for you if you wish to build barracks and fortifications there."
I nodded and thanked him as I led the legion to the forrest where we would be staying. The builders got to work immediately already knowing what to do. The barracks would only take about and hour and a half.
Thalia and I were walking through the camp she was giving me a tour and telling me about events that had occurred and where. It was interesting especially the stories of Percy here.
He seemed to be such a legend here, and the way people saw him was as a fun-loving carefree type of guy. Very different from how the legion saw him. Even to me, he seemed to control how he was a lot which was a good thing a very Roman thing.
I guess we will just have to see how the Romans and the Greeks get along. Surely it can't go too bad right?
The Romans started to mill around the Greeks seeing their half-siblings. I had a feeling that the Mercury and Hermes children were going to cause a whole lot of trouble and I was not excited about it in the slightest.
Sorry if this update took a bit, I recently started another story and am working on it as well. Since I started this first it will be my first priority. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
