After her visit to the graveyard, Esmerelda went to the cafe to eat lunch. It reminded her of the time when she and her family had lunch with Nathaniel and her grandmother, Mae Blackcat (Edward and Enoch's mother).
"Grandma Mae used to be a healer at the St. Mungo's hospital, but then she quit her job (due to her werecat curse)."
She was the only family member who had the werecat curse from Mae. "I don't want my parents to be worried about my werecat curse since Grandma Mae reassured them that there is a way to control it."
(Flashback) June 12, 1975
During her summer break from Hogwarts, Esmerelda and her family went to the cafe with Nathaniel and Mae. "Here's my little Ravenclaw," said Nathaniel, who hugged Esmerelda.
Hey, Grandpa Nathaniel. How was work at the Ministry of Magic?" He explains to her that he's been doing a lot of paperwork, along with helping the other aurors to catch the Death Eaters.
"I did invite your uncle Enoch to come, but he told me that he and Aunt Naomi are busy, taking care of Eileen."
Nathaniel knows who Eileen is, and he is irritated that his grandson, Erickson, would do such a foolish thing that can affect Amelia's family, along with Enoch and Naomi.
"Esmerelda, you know I'm not going to be around, but when you complete your years at Hogwarts, my wand will be in your possession."
