There was static before the picture cleared, showing the couple on screen. Kagome backed away from the camera, asking, "Is it on? Can you see us?"
Kise nodded, giving a thumbs-up as he held the laptop with his other hand. "We're good to go, Kagomecchi." He grinned boyishly.
"Good." Taking a seat on the couch beside the blonde basketball player/model, Kagome turned to the camera with a smile. "Hi, everyone. In case you don't know, my name is Higurashi Kagome." With a casual wave of her hand, she gestured to Kise. "And this is Kise Ryota—"
"Her boyfriend," Kise cut in, sliding closer to add emphasis. The laptop had been abandoned to the side, freeing up both hands to wrap around the raven haired beauty. His affable grin turned sharp at the edges as his golden eyes narrowed the slightest bit. "So don't even think about flirting with her or else you'll have to deal with—"
"Okay." It was Kagome's turn to cut him off. She pushed him away, her expression resembling a dead-fish. "That's enough out of you." As Kise 'cried' in the background, she continued with a more upbeat tone. "Not many of you are aware, but I'm a makeup artist. A few days ago, this guy declared that he could do just as good of a job as I do. Can you believe that?" She shot the camera a disbelieving look.
Kise came back into view, a smirk appearing on his handsome features. "I know I can," he said arrogantly. "I can use my Perfect Copy. It'll be a piece of cake." He winked at the camera. "We're a very competitive couple – if you haven't noticed. So, we decided to make a video and post it online for everyone to see and vote. You, the fans, are going to decide whose right; me or Kagomecchi."
Kagome rolled her amethyst eyes. "We're going to do a quick wardrobe change, mostly because I don't trust him not to make a mess. We'll be back in fifteen minutes, so, in the meantime, tell your friends, family, anyone, to sign in and watch." The smirk that appeared on her lovely features was devilish. "Because this is going to be live."
The blonde basketball player/model saluted the camera with two fingers. "See you guys soon!"
With a click of a button, the screen blacked out.

When the video popped back to life, it showed that both Kagome and Kise had changed their clothes, with different types and varieties of makeup strewn across the coffee table.
The former had changed into a large, white long-sleeved sweater that almost engulfed her petite frame, with black denim shorts. Her silky raven tresses had been pulled and tied back into a high ponytail, exposing her swan-like neck and the tops of her shoulders.
The latter had changed into a white, long-sleeved dress shirt with the top two buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, with black dress pants.
Seated on the couch once more, Kagome gave a superior look to Kise, who eyed the multiple makeup applications with a furrowed brow. Was that sweat she saw beading on his forehead?
"Are you going to admit defeat already, Ryota?" she purred. "What happened to your earlier confidence?"
"Tch. I'm not giving up, Kagomecchi," he replied. "We're just getting started." In the next second, he shot a sunny smile towards the camera. "Hey, we're back. I'm just about to get started on applying the makeup. Don't forget to cheer for me." He winked.
"You're not allowed to win votes by flirting," the raven haired beauty protested. "I call foul."
Kise chuckled. Leaning forward, he pressed a kiss to her cheek. When he pulled back, he gave her a heated look. "Is Kagomecchi jealous?" he teased. "How cute~"
"Shut up." She pouted. "I'm not jealous." Her eyes glinted with something almost-feral. "If you get to win votes by flirting, I get to win votes by getting the other guys involved." They were nearly nose-to-nose as she whispered the last part, "I'm sure they – especially Aomine – would be interested in what we're doing." It was no secret that the mentioned tanned male liked flirting with her since it drove Kise absolutely crazy.
He jerked back dramatically. "Hidoi," he cried out, one hand coming up and gripping his shirt directly over his heart. "How could you even say his name, Kagomecchi? This time, I call foul!" His normally sweet girlfriend could be so merciless sometimes.
Her expression dropped to resemble a dead-fish. "You're being overly dramatic again. Just start the challenge, Ryota."
"I want a kiss first," he semi-childishly demanded. His gaze, however, was serious and determined to get his way. There was no stopping him when he got like this, and they both knew it.
"So stubborn," she quietly muttered to herself, but with fondness in her tone. Copying his actions, she leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his cheek. When she pulled away, their eyes connected. Seeing the way his golden orbs shined with happiness and tenderness, she smiled. "Better?"
"Kagomecchi is the best." He grinned cheerfully. Turning to face the camera, he commented, "Okay, I'm ready. Let's do this!"
When he picked up the first piece of cosmetic, the raven haired beauty immediately shook her head. "You're already doing it wrong, Ryota," she smugly said.
"What? What do you mean?" he asked, surprised.
"You have to remove my makeup first." She gestured to her face.
Kise blinked. "Eh? You're wearing makeup?"
A pink flush darkened her cheeks at the indirect compliment. Although he acted silly and overly dramatic at times, he really did treat her the best. He was always a gentleman and a sweetheart without even trying.
Deciding to help him, she placed a packet of organic makeup remover wipes in his hand. It was her favorite brand because it removed makeup easily and also helped her skin retain its moisture. "Use these."
With soft, efficient swipes, her makeup was removed and the dirtied wipes were thrown away. Sneakily, Kise managed to peck the tip of her nose with his lips, causing the raven haired beauty to giggle.
"Now I'm ready to start," Kise commented towards the camera. He didn't see a difference in Kagome's appearance, but he shrugged it off. He had a challenge to win, and his girlfriend's beauty wasn't going to distract him – much. He hoped.
Golden eyes scanned the assortment of makeup he could use. He'd seen Kagome apply makeup countless times – on him included – so this should be an easy win for him. However, he hadn't realized just how many products she used or could use on a daily basis. It was truly mind-boggling how many choices there were.
Spying a tube of foundation that looked familiar, he chose it. It seemed fairly straightforward, so he squeezed a small portion onto his palm. Very carefully, he applied the foundation on Kagome's face, being especially cautious around her eyes. He remembered that the liquid version was meant for smaller areas, like dark spots or pimples, but she didn't have any of that.
Using a tissue to clean the extra makeup off his hands, Kise breathed deeply. So far, so good. Then again, for this challenge, he didn't expect Kagome to help him too much, if at all.
"You can still back out, you know. No one would blame you," said raven haired beauty commented with a teasing glint in her eyes.
Kise smirked arrogantly. "No way. I'm going to win, no matter what."
The next makeup application he picked up was the pencil eyeliner. Kagome shifted the slightest bit where she sat, obviously a little nervous but trying to hide it. She knew she would regret placing that out as an option, but her competitive spirit hadn't allowed its exclusion. She would just have to trust that Kise wouldn't accidentally poke her in the eye.
She took a deep breath in, hoping her body wasn't shaking too badly.
"This is going to be tricky," he muttered, gazing back and forth between the pencil and Kagome. His brows furrowed. "Kagomecchi, do you trust me?"
She gulped. "…Yeah," she practically squeaked out.
"Hidoi," he cried out. He pointed an accusing finger in her direction. "You paused! I can't believe you paused when I asked if you trusted me! How could you, Kagomecchi?"
"Can you blame me?" she screamed back. "You can't even sit still without moving. How do you expect me to trust you with that?" She gestured wildly towards the eyeliner.
"I trust you all the time when you're doing my makeup!"
"That's different – I'm a professional!"
He released a dramatic gasp. "I can't believe you would throw that back in my face!"
"I can't help it if it's true!"
As the two continued to argue, Kise pounced on Kagome with a battle cry that was more playful than threatening. However, one of his legs accidentally kicked the camera, plunging the audience into darkness. The last thing they heard was an answering cry from the raven haired beauty as she waged an unseen war with the blonde basketball player/model.
KH*RK*KH*RK
As the video turned on, Kagome cleared her throat. "Sorry about that. We were… experiencing some… technical difficulties," she hesitantly said. From her side, Kise was pouting – and there was a distinct lack of a certain pencil eyeliner from earlier. "Anyway, we've decided that there should be rules to this challenge. One being that there will be no pointy objects of any kind." She grinned cheerfully at the camera. "Right, Ryota?"
"Because Kagomecchi doesn't trust me," he grumbled, cheeks puffing out like a squirrel to show his displeasure.
She lightly pinched one of his cheeks, stretching the skin to impossible lengths. "Don't be like that," she cajoled. "We're continuing the challenge. Or you could just forfeit now. Your choice."
Golden eyes blazed from the taunt. "I told you, I'm not giving up no matter what. Let's keep going." Easily persuaded from his pouty mood, the blonde male scanned the remaining cosmetics that had been 'deemed' safe to use. He chose the eyelash curler.
"I know for a fact I've never used that on you," she stated, lips curving.
"I've seen it used on others before," he retorted. An air of confidence surrounded him as he used the curler. His hands were gentle and light, a stark contract to when he played basketball, and he was careful not to pull the curler away too soon. He knew if he did it would cause Kagome pain. That was the last thing he wanted to do – despite the 'trust issues' she had.
When he finished, he smiled at the outcome. "There. That wasn't so bad, right, Kagomecchi?"
"It was definitely better than when you tried applying the eyeliner," she drily said.
"Hidoi," he sniffled. "Your words are so cruel…" Without missing a beat, he moved onto the next product. He picked up a tube of mascara. As he stared at it, he felt his mind draw a blank. What was this used for again? For the life of him, he couldn't remember! This is not good!
Unscrewing the top, he pulled the little wand out with the inky bristles. The makeup's appearance was slightly helpful, but where did he apply it to? Sweat started beading on his brow as he contemplated his next move.
Unseen by her blonde counterpart, Kagome shot a sly glance to the audience. Her lips parted as she silently mouthed, 'He has no idea what to do.'
Finally deciding not to over analyze his actions, Kise began applying the mascara to her eyebrows.
Almost pushing him back, she giggled out, "Ryota, that tickles." It was also the completely wrong way to use it, but she found his determined face adorable. It was almost the exact same facial expression he wore when facing a tough opponent on the basketball court.
"Is it supposed to tickle?" he wondered, stopping his ministrations. He shrugged in the next moment, moving to brush the mascara into her other brow. When she giggled again, he smiled. The sound was like tinkling bells to his ears. He could listen to it all day if she would let him.
Done with that task, he next chose her blush compact. Humming, he used the little sponge to apply the makeup, adding a small, affectionate 'boop' to her nose. Who knew doing makeup could be so fun? He should convince Kagome to let him do this for her more often.
Kise smirked as he came to the last piece of cosmetic. "Now for the finishing touch," he announced. He held up multiple tubes of lip gloss and lipstick to the camera. "Which one do you guys think I should use?"
"Of course he would know how to use that," Kagome muttered under her breath, an anime-style sweat-drop appearing above her head. Really, it didn't surprise her. Kise had always been… eager… with his affections. She couldn't count the times she had to reapply or fix her makeup because of him. A blush stained her cheeks as she thought about it.
Kise hummed as he eyed his many choices. Personally, he liked the pink gloss because it made Kagome's lips shine enticingly. But he also really liked the crimson lipstick, especially on date nights when things got a bit… hot and heavy. Something utterly primal growled contentedly when he saw the lip imprints all over his body the next morning.
His mouth went suddenly dry, and his cheeks started to flush at his thoughts.
Quickly, he shook his head to clear his lustful fantasies. He was so close to completing the challenge. He could ravish her afterwards. At the moment his pride was on the line.
Uncapping the crimson lipstick, he applied it to Kagome's lips. He concentrated on making it an even coating, not wanting to smear the color. When it smudged, he used a thumb to wipe it away. It was really tempting to kiss her, but he somehow held himself back. It was the hardest thing he'd ever done but he managed.
"There. I'm done," he announced, smirking smugly. "So, how did I do? It was perfect, right?"
Kagome wrinkled her nose cutely. "You applied mascara to my eyebrows." She pointed to said brows to add emphasis. "And I don't even need to look in a mirror to know you applied the blush unevenly. My skin is probably two skin tones."
"Eh?" Kise exclaimed, shocked. "But I was so confident! My Perfect Copy—"
"Don't quit your day job, okay, Ryota?"
Anime-style waterfall tears started streaming down his handsome face. "Hidoi! Your words are like sharp blades to my heart, Kagomecchi!"
"You'll survive, I'm sure," was her careless response. When he made another dramatic noise of pain, her amethyst eyes softened with affection. Before Kise had a chance to respond, Kagome leaned in to press her lips against his. His eyes widened, surprised by her bold gesture.
Their lips separated too soon, though the camera had a clear view of the crimson smear that was now painted across the basketball player/model's mouth.
Kagome cocked her head to the side, her expression abruptly arrogant and mocking. "You lost our little wager, Ryota. I. Win."
"No! We haven't seen what the fans voted yet," he protested.
"Our bet was based on if you could do makeup as good as I could, but we've proven that you can't. Face it. You lose." She reached for the laptop. "I'm sure the fans must've left comments by now. Even they know you didn't apply the mascara correctly."
"Tch. I'm not going to allow you to read those comments." Releasing a soft growl, Kise's eyes narrowed in determination. "I haven't lost yet!" Before her hand could touch the laptop, he tackled her down to the couch and out of view of their audience.
The ensuing battle that took place was filled with squealing laughter and what sounded suspiciously like kissing noises. And it was all caught on camera for millions to witness.
