Chapter 053: Tsubaki Asahina

Yoyogi Park, Japan

As part of the promotional period for the new show he was voice acting in, Tsubaki Asahina and his co-star Kagome Higurashi were in the middle of a photo shoot in one of Tokyo's most beautiful parks. Each were holding a traditional crepe in one hand, while the opposite hand was linked together, fingers intimately interlocked. They casually walked along the cherry blossom-laden path, laughing and talking while ignoring the cameras that followed them. To the silver haired male, this felt more like a date rather than work.

Tsubaki had always felt a spark between himself and Kagome since the day they met. It had been a couple of year ago, when they had first starred together on a different project. He would've pursued something more intimate – had every intention of doing so, in fact – but had stopped himself when he found out Kagome had already been in a relationship. He wasn't the type to intrude, so had immediately backed off though it had been the hardest thing he'd had to do.

But things were different now. It wasn't a secret that Kagome was now single. There wasn't another man standing in his way. He could pursue her without having to worry about any other obstacles – except maybe Kagome herself.

"And cut!" the director of photography called out, a satisfied grin stretching across his middle-aged face. "Great work, you two. I think we have everything that we need. Let's wrap up for today."

"Thank you for your hard work," Tsubaki and Kagome said at the same time, both bowing politely to the staff to show their gratitude. They stood straight when the gesture was returned.

Tsubaki made a comically disgusted face at the plastic crepe in his hand. "You wanna get out of here and get a real crepe?" he asked the raven haired beauty. He gave her his trademark boyishly charming grin. "I know a great place not too far from here."

Kagome seemed to contemplate his offer, her sapphire eyes trailing back and forth between the crepe prop and Tsubaki. Finally coming to a decision, she smiled and said, "Sure. That sounds like fun."

Perfect. "I'll meet you back here after we change?"

"Okay. See you in a few, Tsubaki." With a small wave, she turned and started heading to wardrobe. Tsubaki did the same, happily humming under his breath. There was nothing and no one who could possibly ruin his current mood.

He had just scored a date with Kagome after all.

After visiting the crepe stand that had been located in the same park as the photo shoot, Tsubaki and Kagome managed to find an unoccupied bench to sit on and enjoy their treats.

Holding a chocolate and banana crepe, the raven haired beauty couldn't help but release a light laugh. "I can't believe there was crepe stand right here all along," she commented. "I wish the director had just ordered a couple of crepes from here. At least that way we could've eaten while we worked."

"Not many know it's here, not even the locals, which makes it such a hidden gem," Tsubaki said, grinning proudly. In his hand, he held a strawberry, banana, and whipped cream crepe.

"How did you know it was here, then?" she curiously asked.

"My brothers and I come to this park pretty frequently. It was a sheer coincidence that we happened upon it, actually."

Kagome softly smiled. "You and your brothers sound really close. It must be nice to have such a large family."

Tsubaki scoffed. "Sometimes, I think we're too close." He rolled his eyes as memories of his family pestering him popped up. The most frequent was Fuuto. That little brat needed to learn how to treat his older brothers with respect.

However, no matter how much they annoyed him, the silver haired male wouldn't trade them for the world. Even Fuuto at his most irritating. Maybe.

A thought struck him, and Tsubaki suddenly smirked flirtatiously. Crowding into Kagome's personal space, he said, "You know, Kagome, if you wanted… you could easily become a part of my family... You would carry my last name and everything…" His heavily hinted words were full of seduction and heated promises. The way his visible violet eye darkened spoke volumes about his feelings.

Instantly, she could feel her cheeks heating with a hot blush. "What-What are you trying to say, Tsubaki?" she stuttered in embarrassment. "You… You really shouldn't joke about things like that."

He pouted. "But I'm being serious." He leaned closer, his lips mere inches away from hers. His next words washed over her like a tidal wave, shocking and overwhelming. "And I didn't hear you say no." Wrapping his arms tightly around her, he pulled her body against his as his mouth swooped down to slant across hers in a demanding, forceful kiss.

Unheard by the couple, an almost silent 'plop' sounded as Kagome dropped her crepe to focus entirely on the silver haired male passionately kissing her. When his tongue invaded, aggressively battling with her own, she couldn't stop the little moan of pleasure that escaped.

Mentally grinning in satisfaction at the sexy sound, Tsubaki pulled back so that they could both catch their breath. He couldn't help but stare with lustful eyes at the picture Kagome made: flushed cheeks, hazy eyes, heaving chest, and kiss-swollen lips. Damn, she really knew how to make a guy lose control.

And then she spoke.

"You made me drop my crepe."

Tsubaki roared with laughter. His own crepe had been dropped and forgotten long ago. But he didn't care. All that mattered was currently trapped in his embrace and he didn't plan on ever letting go.

"I'll buy you as many crepes as you want." With that, he slanted his mouth over hers once again.
