Third person pov Refuge system two months after the trip to Nar Shaddaa
Duncan looked at the newly repaired buildings. The foundry and small manufacturing facility were up and running again. He was quite happy it was up and running again although what they could make were low level items. The foundry and small manufacturing facility were level one. The weapons and armor he had access to were low level and apparently until he could decrypt the rest or have a droid do he had to make due with what he had. Thankfully he managed to get the new skill Adaptive Learning meaning he gather and instantly understand any type of knowledge form of knowledge and adapt the knowledge in anyway including learning a new talent/skill and adapting a way to use it even if I'm disabled or handicapped or a talent that allows me to read fast could be changed to allow me to read quickly for several different books or subjects at the same time, and more like a lot more.
Fes'ticef a twi'lek and a former soldier of the republic Judicial forces agreed to train the people who wanted to learn how to fight and be soldiers were coming along nicely. The training was harsh; he told them that from day one. They started with physical training then mental followed by CQC, firearms etc but before that they all went on a physical and a healthy meal diet for them. The training armor was the Combat Suit from Kotor 1. It was cheap and easy to make. The shortswords and longswords were to and they were also used in training as well as blasters. The OOM battle droids from Nar Shaddaa were manning the ships he had obtained from Larry Moe and Curly. The Refuge System had the planet Refuge which was slightly the size of Mars back in his old life and there were the two moons it had as well as the four other planets and six moons. The only two worlds that were habbital were Refuge and Shen. The rest were a desert and Gas giant the moons varied. One of the moons had some Zersium, Durelium, Aurodium and to Duncans surprise a massive Cortosis deposit and by massive HK said they could mine the Cortosis deposit for 50 years and not even make a dent in the deposit. The mining droids he had that were bought from the bothan were old in design but can still be used and some droids excavators would have to dig and some construction droids build a small outpost on the moon.
T3 and his team of droids managed to get more of the ships floating in space running again. All the six YV-865 Aurore-class freighters and the TL-1200 transports and the Y-8 mining vessels as well. He also wanted to see some places and decided to venture out of the safety of the Refuge. The Ebon Hawk was staying put as it was too noticeable and they were taking a CR90 corvette. The GEMINI droids who piloted the Ebon Hawk would be driving the CR90 or as Duncan called it the Ashburn. Duncan HK-47, HK-55 and T3 along with several HK-50s and 100 OMM droids would head to Kuat Drive Yards to see some of their products. He was going under the identity of Lud Mistral, a wealthy inheritor to a large amount of money in the outer rims and in hutt space. Once they arrived HK-47 would do what he does best infiltrate and kill…well no killing just stealing anything they could use.

Duncan wore a mask to the office's no one would see his face thankfully. The woman he was talking with was of average height, weight and looked to be in her late thirties with black eyes and brown hair. Her name was Adira.
" Welcome mister Mistral and about your request we do have what you are looking for". The woman said and pulled up an image of a shipyard. " This is a Type II Orbital Repair Yard the Type II design is a square-sided structure, 1,200 meters from side to side the work bays can be adjusted and rearranged to accommodate capital ships of varying sizes and designs, its basic box-shaped configuration stays the same. It was designed with 9 tractor beams. The Type II has a standard crew of 4,114, and could accommodate 200 security personnel along with powerful shields and armor, compensated for the fact that these stations lack any real defensive armament but has a class 4 hyperdrive permits the station to relocate across long distances, although for sublight maneuvers, it requires a cargo tug". She said and Duncan stopped her.
" So it relies on ships and other installations for defense then"? He asked her and she nodded." I see and what about the cost of the shipyard". He asked her.
" No one is really interested in them but a few have been made and sold or as a showcase and some never delivered payment so some are being disassembled". Adira said and Duncan stopped. This was good and he was not about to look a gift horse in the mouth." The type II sells for 400 million credits but as I said before due to that lack of consumer interest the price has been lowered to 200 million credits -".
" I'll pay the price for it". Duncan said he was aware that the galaxy was not at war and he was going to take advantage of it.
" I-I see well we have one that was scheduled to be decommissioned". She said and he saw the type ll shipyard.
" Are there any upgrades that can be added"? He asked her and she sat there in silence for a few seconds.
" We can upgrade the systems with new hardware and there are several advancements that have been made that we can put into the shipyard but that will take two months for it to be completed". She said and he nodded to her.
" Good good now how about ships for defense purposes"? He asked her and she brought up an image of a ship he knew well.
" This is an Arquitens-class light cruiser it was made for the Republic Judicial forces the Arquitens-class is 325 meters long a class 2 hyperdrive with a class 12 as a backup the first configuration is 4 turret mounted twin light turbolaser batteries, 4 heavy port and starboard quad laser cannon batteries, 4 Missile or torpedo launchers. The second configuration is 4 Turret-mounted twin light turbolaser batteries, 4 Missile or torpedo launchers and one Ventral laser cannon, with a crew of 100 and 100 passengers that cost 4 million credits". She said and he was surprised to see the Arquitens-class light cruiser so soon but hey his gain.
" I'll take 2 for 8 million". He said and he looked at Adira when she nodded.
" The ships will be ready in a month and a half. You can take them then or with your Type II". She said and Duncan nodded and handed her a credit chip and she plugged it into a device on her desk and soon a ping sound came and went and she handed it back.
" We at Kuat Drive Yards thank you for your business". She said and Duncan nodded and walked out. HK-55 was there and they walked back to the Ashburn. Duncan was still wondering how HK-47 was doing.
Third person POV Kuat Drive Yards restricted areas
HK-47 hid as a group of human dock workers passed him; his usual paint was replaced with a black color and a cloaking device. He was instructed to infiltrate and find ship designs or any of equal value or find places where he would have to infiltrate in the future. So far his mission was a success oh how he enjoyed this sabotage, espionage and the possibility of killing just like the days with his original master. He was confused by the lack of security personnel and measures. There were little guards and camera systems he knew because he hacked into them already. Truly things in the galaxy have grown very relaxed until this area that was. HK-47 looked at the highly restricted that had quite advanced cybersecurity and other defenses but they were no match for him as he had been to more places that were greater in both security and location. It didn't take long for him to infiltrate the server room which he was able to plug in so to speak. He soon downloaded data the secret projects one was a planetary assault and troop transport and the other was was a versatile capital ship capable of serving as both a combatant in ship-to-ship naval warfare and a starfighter carrier, while also being employed as a troop transport, cargo ship, and supply and replenishment vessel and the last was more heavily armed and armed but the bridges of all three were exposed those would need to be cut out from the designs for his master at some point during redesign possess and remove some of the turbolasers and add on some anti fighter capabilities. He would have to get rid of the "shoot me" command bridge and replace it or hire someone to. He would make do with what he had in the meantime he wasn't going to make the entire fleet of star destroyers the empire did that they lost thousands of ships. It didn't matter if you could wipe out capital ships when your swarmed with hundreds of fighter craft and bombers big guns don't do jack shit and you get willed down with bug bites. Vader's Super star destroyer was taken out of the fight when the bridge was destroyed by a fighter and crashed into the death star. So in such small words exposed bridges bad no point/anti fighter defenses bad. That's why his ships will have balance in offensive and defensive armament with smaller ships arriving in different roles.

HK-47 informed Duncan who was listening intently. " They were apparently accused of killing a jedi knight and two Padawans but the sun guard only said they didn't kill any of those Jedi but the jedi demanded that they cease all their bounty hunting and military operations and hand over all military grade ships and only keep a defense fleet for their system, as you can image this didn't go over well and soon the Republic Judicial forces and Jedi attack making them retreat outside Republic jurisdiction and become a nomadic fleet of 40 ships several of which are 4 are Harrower-class dreadnoughts, 2 Centurion-class battlecruisers and 3 Valor-class cruisers with at least several hundreds of Thyrsians civilian transport ships and corgi hullers''. HK finished.
" But how does this involve me?". He asked the droid.
" Informative statement: Master the remains of the Sun guard are 140,500 trained and ready they approached you family for many contracts and had found out about your family's sith heritage which could indicate why they were so adamant to serve the Ashville family unfortunately before a deal could be struck certain events transpired but if you father and mother did succeed the assassin most likely would not have happened". HK said and Duncan was quite uncertain about this.
" So my family bloodline is the reason that's not really reliable". Duncan said as he looked at the image of the sun guard. " I hope you're right and we're not walking into a big trap HK". Duncan said, making the droid look offended.
"Assuring statement: Nonsense master they were most eager to serve a week ago and I can guarantee no harm will come to us now we must return to Refugee master as we must be ready to meet with them master and this ship belongs to Lud Mistral and must remain that way as such we shall be changing ships to a more fretting model". That was HK speak for we need a bigger ship with bigger guns.
" You know what the hell with it let's do it then". Duncan said he and the droid trusted the sun guard or somehow planted explosives on the ships to blow them to the abyss and back if they were going to try and kill him.
"Assuring statement: If they do betray us master I have planted bombs on their capital ships and cruisers the the first sign of deceit". The droid said with glee.

Well here's chapter 3 for all of you and yes it seems like Duncan is gaining things to easily but be assured the republic (Read Palpatine) will be having some certain things as well that are brought into soon from the age of the galactic empire. That means it may look like he will have an upper hand and only just slightly but so will the republic and jedi(Once more read Palpatine). Also this will with great possibility will have minor crossovers and vote on who you think from the jedi order should meet Duncan and join him.
