One week earlier…
Moro was in her hotel room as she was getting ready to go back home. With MacDuff finally gone, there was nothing else to do as she was ready to leave Mirhuin in which she also wanted to get away from Sigurthur in which he wanted to be with her despite all those years of being apart. When left her room with Sura in tow, she spotted Sigurthur in front of her as he wanted to propose to her in which he didn't want to be apart from her, for he had a feeling that destiny had plans for them in the future.
"Good morning, Moro," he said.
"What the hell do you want?" she asked.
"I want to marry you if you don't mind."
"Sorry, but I can't do that. My children are important than someone who wants to tether me for no reason."
"But I heard from your sister that you lost your husband in a terrorist attack in which I won't back down until you say yes. Please, Moro…"
"Who do you play me for?!" Moro was starting to lose her temper as she was itching to pummel Sigurthur in the lobby. "I'm not a booty call nor will I be considered food on the table! Now, if you don't mind, I have to go! As for that proposal, I won't marry again, you got that?! I know that you lost your wife and avenged her death, but I have my own life to consider! I won't be tethered to someone who pranked me with raw pork because you had it coming!"
Moro left with Sura in tow as she ignored Sigurthur altogether. She didn't want anything to do with him as she also had the pressure of getting married again looming over her shoulders. Still, she couldn't let anyone else put any more pressure on her as she refused to take another spouse after losing Albus, for she refused to marry again and that was mutual for everyone who crossed her…
Present Day…
I was back at the castle on Skald Island as I was mainly sitting at the beach while I watched the children playing and looking for seashells and sand dollars. It had been a week since I got rid of MacDuff as I was also having to deal with all sorts of problems. The return presence of Sylvana was a red flag all on its own as I was adamant into protecting my friends and family, even if it meant by sacrificing myself to keep everyone safe. Still, I had my own familial problems as I also had to deal with Moro's plight in which she still vowed to never marry again. Even after she cooperated with Sigurthur by helping to destroy MacDuff, she still didn't want to take another spouse after Albus' demise. I was worried about her as she was about to hit the same low as Dean did when I found him at the Wonder Nook a month ago. It was the worst case scenario that I ever thought of as I noticed Moro coming towards the beach with her two children in tow. Even though it was a hot day, I stood firm as I watched over everyone on the beach, for I was also concerned for Moro's well-being in the long run.
"If you wanna know how I'm doing, I'm fine, Sam," she said to me.
"It's been a week since we took out MacDuff, but you didn't accept Sigurthur's hand in marriage, did you?" I said.
"Look! He has his own home near Mirhuin in which he's made himself at home with the Okeechobee Vikings who live all over the swamps near the Arwen River. We parted ways because I still remember that day when he pulled that prank when I ate raw pork!"
"Moro…, I know that Sigurthur's been trying to beg for your forgiveness, but you can't push him aside, either."
"I can't and won't marry again, you got that? As for that teenage jackass in those Breakfast Club clothes, he needs to stay out of my business. Yes, I saw the vision of what happened to Sigurthur's wife and we did take out that overgrown reptile in Lake Haldir, I'm not ready to commit to another relationship right now."
"Jack has every reason to meddle because he also knows about loss and redemption. He's also concerned about what you're going through in which he also wants you to move on."
"He tried to take away my Nephilim abilities once. He gave them back to me, but I also had to team up with the man who pranked me when I was little."
AWOOO!
The sound of a warg howling alarmed everyone as I noticed Femto near the shore. When I noticed an Order of Letters ship approaching, it landed near the harbor as we noticed a Mirkwood Elf coming out of it. The Elf herself came from the LaPointe Clan as she had black hair and green eyes like her father. She was also concerned about what was going on as she was tasked to see me directly, for she had an urgent reason to deliver a message in front.
"Sam Winchester," she said to me. "Pere told me about how you put the kibosh on MacDuff a week ago."
"Lorraine LaPointe," I said. "You're in the tenth squad of the Hunter Corps, but it seems that you had your reasons to come here."
"The message is also mainly for Moro." I see a few members of the Medical Corps bringing Sigurthur out of the ship in a stretcher with two young girls following them. "We found him near the wreckage of the Freleng in which he spotted some suspicious people before they fled from some gators in the Arwen River. Sigurthur was mainly 'bringing home the bacon' until he got his ass handed to him by one of the suspicious people who was dressed in strange clothing. He tried to defend himself against that guy, but he ended up getting his ass handed to him before the attacker and his accomplice fled so that they won't be gator food. As for his kids, they're with him, but we can't bring them anywhere else after coming into contact with the Zenith Vectors."
"We'll take them in for now. Besides, the Skalvarg Archipelago has a fog that keeps suspicious intruders out in the first place."
"I'll tell Pere and Maman that Sigurthur and his girls are delivered safely. The Zenith Vectors are dangerous in which they tried and failed to steal more wreckage from the Freleng. It's also best that she of all people can protect them after they were being targeted."
I saw Lorraine and her group enter into the castle as they were also concerned about the safety of Sigurthur and his daughters. Moro, on the other hand, didn't want anything to do with them as she still harbored feelings of resentment to the man who once tormented her. When she gathered up Sura and Ippei Jr., they went to their room in the castle as they weren't ready to socialize with anyone right now. Moro wasn't ready to deal with another relationship as she was also caught in Jack's crosshairs in which he was still wanting to take away her Nephilim abilities if she didn't commit to being wed to Sigurthur. The idea of her being married to her former tormentor alarmed her as she could also picture the numerous pranks with raw pork coming towards her, for she didn't want anything to do with him.
"I hate him!" she yelled to herself.
It wasn't long until Moro saw a book on her bed as she picked it up. She noticed the title, Anne of Green Gables, written on it as it was on a green cover that a picture of a young girl with red hair on it. She never liked romances as she considered old ancient books from Earth to be stale and uninteresting, for she was mainly a tomboy most of her life. When she opened up the window, she was ready to throw the book out the window in which she did so. She never liked any form of romance after Albus' passing as she had to focus mainly on her two children. Sura and Ippei Jr. were her only link to her late husband as she never forgot how he sacrificed himself to protect the rest of the passengers that were on that train, for she missed him so much.
"If only you lived…" she said to herself as she clutched at the wedding band in her hand.
When Moro left the room, she went out into the hall as she saw Sigurthur's daughters sitting on a bench in which they were left in tears after what happened to their father. She could care less as she had her own children to take care of the moment she spotted a baby girl in swaddling clothes that was laying in a bassinet. When she picked her up, she saw the baby open up her eyes and glared at her, for the little one was not happy with her at present.
"Why do you hate me, Moro?" the baby said to her as she put her back in her bassinet.
"You're not real!" she yelled. "You're not!"
"I begged for your forgiveness, but you didn't accept me! I'm cold, Moro! Please, keep me warm!"
Moro left the main hall as she went towards the infirmary wing the moment that she spotted the Medical Corps wheeling Sigurthur into a hospital room. What she also saw was that he was bandaged up after being attacked by the Zenith Vectors at the wreckage of the Freleng. What she also noticed was that his body was starting to grow cold in which his condition was dire the moment she saw him trying to stay warm, for he was out of it. All she saw was an oxygen mask on his face and an intravenous drip in his arm as he was comatose, but barely alive, but she didn't want anything to do with him. When she was about to leave the hospital room, she spotted another member of the Rakuen Priesthood standing in front of her, for she saw him to be another nuisance that she hated.
"Get out of my way," she said as she was ready to lose her temper.
"Your future husband needs you to be with him, Moro," said the priest.
"He's not my husband and I will never marry him!"
"Hasn't it occurred to you that it's a woman's duty to keep a man warm?"
"Hasn't it occurred to you that you're very annoying?" Moro seizes the priest by the scruff of his collar as she was ready to clobber him. "Keep talking, asshat! I'm about ready to clean your clock real quick!" She punches him in the jaw as he fell onto the floor. "I'm telling you again, I won't marry another spouse, you hear me?! I won't keep my 'future husband' warm or marry him just to fill the void after his wife got eaten by a giant crocodile! I have my own problems to deal with and I will never find another husband again so as long as I'm alive!" Anger boiled over Moro as she was ready to strangle the priest in which she was ready to do it. "If I see another one of you ass-clowns trying to force me to marry someone that I'm not compatible with, I will literally end you and I'll even allow the Medical Corps to turn off the life support to my so-called 'future husband' so he won't bother me anymore!"
"Moro!"
It wasn't long until she rushed out into the hall as she spotted Dean standing in front of her. He knew of her to be a wreck as he also saw her to be wanting to attack the priest that was wanting her to marry Sigurthur. The priest himself got onto his feet as he ran out of the hallway the moment he ended up wetting himself after his failed attempt to give Moro his message earlier, for he was afraid of her after seeing her lose her temper earlier.
"You're real good at scaring people off, aren't you?" said Dean as he was disappointed in Moro's behavior. "That's the second time that you tried to attack a member of the Rakuen Priesthood just 'cause he's trying to do his job."
"You mean by tethering me to a guy who used to bully me?" she said as she was seething with anger.
"I heard about how you helped him track down a gator in the lake in which Sam finished it off a week ago. I also heard that you rejected him in which you are compatible to him, but you're too angry to see it."
"What the hell do you know about loss, Dean?! I heard about what happened to Magda in which those scumbags who attacked your base killed her and took out her baby from her womb. I lost Albus because of the same terrorists that made their mark by wearing those suits that repel any melee weapon and projectile! Sura and Ippei Jr. don't even have a father anymore because of those freaks who enjoy taking innocent lives in which I won't budge or take another spouse!"
"I know plenty of loss 'cause I've been down that route when I lost Magda. I didn't pay attention to my unit or my kids in which I ran away from everything. I also spent the last few months wasting my life in bars just drinking my sorrows away just to numb the pain. That was when I wasn't thinking straight, but if Sam hadn't found me and forced me to get my act together, I would've never gotten out of that rabbit hole that I got myself into. For the record, I have someone that Sam wedded to me by proxy so I wouldn't be back in that hole in which she's a damn good medic and a mother of two boys who lost her own husband to prostate cancer. As for the guy in that hospital room, he's the one for you so you won't get cranky all the time."
Moro ignored Dean entirely as she left the infirmary wing and back into the main hall where the talking baby was found. When she sat down on the bench where the girls were sitting, she saw the baby in her bassinet as she was sitting up and glaring at her again. She didn't want to believe in love again as the baby was not happy with her, for she was also crying for no reason.
"Why aren't you keeping me warm, Moro?" she said to her. "I'm in a hospital room with no one to see me!"
"Leave me alone!" she cried as she was ready to lose her temper again.
"You wanted to take me off of life support! You hate me for what I did to you all those years ago when I pranked you with raw pork and my parents beat me and gave me that scar on my face! I helped you stop MacDuff, but you refuse to take my hand. What about my daughters? They need a mother and someone who would love and protect them…"
"Then take them to a fucking orphanage for all I care! Turnabout is fair play, right?!"
"Don't say that! Please, don't abandon them!"
"I've had enough of this shit!"
Moro pushed the bassinet onto the floor as she noticed that it was nothing more than a hallucination the moment she saw a tray that was filled with medical supplies that were in boxes. Embarrassed by her behavior, she picked up the cart and stacked the boxes back into it as she went back outside. It was when she saw the girls again as they were trying hard to console themselves, for she didn't want to comfort them while their father was fighting for his life. All she saw was the hate for a man who pulled a cruel prank on her and paid for it, for she didn't want to be tethered to someone who tormented her when she was little…
Dean was sitting on the beach as he was concerned about what was going on. When he spotted me sitting with the younger children, he was desperate for my guidance as he was also not too happy with Moro's behavior. I noticed him brooding near the shore as he was also concerned about what was going on. I had to intervene as I also had to make sure that nothing bad could happen in which I also sensed that Moro was acting coldly to the daughters that her former tormentor had, for this has gone far enough already.
"You're in a mode," I said.
"It's Moro that I'm concerned about," said Dean.
"It's been a week since we stopped MacDuff, but after we left Mirhuin, Sigurthur wanted Moro's hand in marriage, but she refused him. I get that she refuses to marry again after what happened to Albus, but she still wants to focus on her children after all that has happened."
"Well, she clocked a member of the Rakuen Priesthood in which he got so scared that he pissed himself."
"She has a temper in which if anyone hints her as either food on the table or having her to 'keep a man warm,' she would attack anyone, including me."
"She attacked you?"
"I was attacked by accident in which I was trying to break up a fight between Moro and a member of the Rakuen Priesthood, but I can't let her suffer much worse. She's lost Albus in which the Zenith Vectors made her a widow and her children without a father. As for the man that the Rakuen Priesthood picked for her, he's in the infirmary wing, but fighting for his life."
"Well, I heard her wanting the Medical Corps to turn off his life support not too long ago."
"She's misguided, Dean. As for her future husband's daughters, they're worried about him after he ended up getting ambushed by the Zenith Vectors. She can't ignore what's put in front of her forever, no matter what she does."
It wasn't long until I decided to go back into the castle as I gathered up the younger children and go inside. With Dean following me, we were on our way to the nursery as I put Kazuko and Giles down for a nap while the others were put in their playpens. By the time I left the nursery, I went straight towards the infirmary wing to check up on Sigurthur as I rushed into his room. He was really fighting for his life as his body was starting to go colder in which I noticed his vitals dropping. He was mainly brought here after being attacked by the Zenith Vectors, but this was something that I never saw before until now.
"This is new, but his body is getting colder by the minute," I said.
"He was brought in to be treated and cared for, not freeze to death," said Dean.
"I know of this phenomenon in which it's referred to as the Freezing Heart of the Rejected. If an Elf rejects his or her future suitor, then he or she is punished when the one who is rejected will suffer an agonizing death by freezing inside."
"Well, Moro won't even look at him after what happened to him."
"He loves her, but she refuses to forgive him for that prank he pulled on her all those years ago. If she continues to reject him, then she will also condemn his daughters to being orphans. She has to heal him or else she'll also condemn herself to a suffering that will never end. She can't reject him forever in which both of them need to heal before it's too late."
I rushed out of the hospital room as I had to find Moro. Sigurthur's life was on the line as he was fading away to the freezing that was slowly killing him in which Moro was the only one who can bring him back, for she had to forgive him before it was too late. When I was about to look for her, I noticed a note on the floor as I picked it up in which I had a gut feeling that someone was also worried about what could happen next. When I saw the words, "Moro is in danger. Apollyon is near," written in black ink, I feared the worst as I also had to reach her before it was too late, for I also had to save the life of her future husband as well, for his life was on the line while in a much damning frozen state. I knew of Apollyon before as I read about him in the lore in which he was a dangerous demon who once served Abaddon, for he was bad news indeed. Still, I couldn't sit by and let Moro be in grave danger, for she was the key to saving Sigurthur from a frozen fate that kept him from obtaining warmth...
Moro was near the lighthouse as she was still not wanting to accept forgiveness from Sigurthur after all that has happened. She was adamant into ignoring everything as she also couldn't get the image of the talking baby out of her head, which unnerved her to no end. For a while, she remembered that fateful day when Sigurthur pulled a prank on her when he gave her some raw pork until he ended up getting punished for it. Still, she was seeing him again, but she refused to forgive him as she didn't want anything to do with him or his daughters. When she saw them playing near the shore, she noticed an ocean wave coming as she rushed to get them out of the way in which she was also starting to regret her words of anger and resentment. The two girls were glad that she stepped in as they also felt relief that someone other than their late mother came and protected them from disaster, for they wanted to thank her after that.
"You shouldn't play near the shore too much or else you'll wash away into the ocean," she said.
It wasn't long until Moro spotted a suspicious man dressed in a grey suit standing near the lighthouse as he was staring directly at her. She never saw him before as he was mainly there for her in general. She was suspicious of him as she wanted to leave the beach until she saw him standing in front of her, for he meant business in the worst way for all the wrong reasons imaginable.
"Hello, Moro," he said as his eyes flashed black. "From what I heard, you're having a tough time trying to keep yourself away from the marriage market."
"Oh, great; a demon wants to meddle in things that doesn't concern him!" she yelled.
"For someone who lost a spouse, you have some fire left in you in which I'm getting a hard-on just thinking about you."
"Back away, 'cause I'm not in a good mood right now!"
"I know your pain more than anyone in which you still love your late Orkish husband who lost his life protecting some of the passengers on that train where the terrorists attacked. Still, you've been put back on the market after his passing, but those meddling freaks in the Rakuen Priesthood won't take no for an answer. Therefore, you've been paired with your former tormentor in which there will be hell for you if you take his hand in marriage."
"Are you serious?"
"I'm giving you an offer to stay single while looking after your kids. Besides, single mothers are hot and I might make it a reality once your former tormentor kicks the bucket!"
"You're out of your fucking mind! I just saved his daughters from being swept away into the ocean not too long ago! I can't say no to them now!"
"Really? I heard your words clearly in which you wanted to cut off their daddy's life support and send them to an orphanage. Turnabout is fair play, right… or perhaps you're meant to be food on the table?"
"Don't you dare call me that, ever!" Moro punches the man in the jaw as she ran away from the beach while carting the girls she saved earlier. "I can't leave you right now, okay?"
Moro and the girls were inside of the castle as they were safe for now. When she escorted them into the sitting room, she was glad that they were safe as she later left towards the infirmary wing. When she got to where she wanted to go, she was stopped by the demon as he wasn't about to take no for an answer right now. It wasn't long until she found herself back home at the Mitani Clan homestead on Alecrast as she noticed herself coming home from school when she was younger. What she also noticed was that there was Sigurthur standing next to a table as he was displaying a plate of what was known to be donburi without rice. She knew of him very well as he was also her main tormentor the moment she saw her younger self go for the plate of the food without hesitation. When she noticed her younger self eat the food, she saw Sigurthur laughing at her as he was ready to point out his prank, for it would soon cost him her forgiveness.
"Do you think that the food you just ate was donburi?" he said to Moro. "It was never donburi to begin with in which you just ate raw pork just now!"
"Raw pork?" she said as she rushed over to the trashcan to make herself vomit what she ate.
"Oh, you're such a fool for the granddaughter of an Order of Letters Elder! I bet that you won't eat pork again!" Sigurthur laughs at Moro even more as he saw her crying after she vomited up the food she ate. "You're just another spoiled Elf brat who was born with a silver spoon in your mouth in which I'm a lot better than what you are!"
It wasn't long until Sigurthur heard footsteps approaching as he turned around and saw a man dressed in Norse garb grab him by the scruff of his neck and punched him in the face the moment he fell to the ground. The man continued to beat the boy up until his face and body were bruised all over. What Moro also didn't expect was that a woman grabbed a the plate that had the "donburi" on it as she broke it in half in which she went towards Sigurthur and cut his face with it. Blood seeped from the boy's face as he was at the mercy of his parents, who ended up "teaching him a lesson" after what they witnessed earlier, for he had it coming in the end.
"You ignorant fool!" yelled the woman as she saw Sigurthur cover his face with a cloth. "Your father and I have warned you not to bully people and look what you've done! You had the gall to take the pork for tonight's dinner and feed it raw to that High Elf girl, didn't you?! You should be ashamed of yourself for your behavior in which you'll get what's coming to you!"
"I'm sorry!" he said as he was crying. "I won't do it again…"
"You 'won't do it again,' will you?" said the man who attacked him. "That's what you always said in which I warned you not to malign a woman or girl. That beatdown is your punishment for pulling that prank on that girl all because she did nothing to you other than just minding her own business. And the next time I see you bullying another innocent girl, I will bury you so that the vampires can feast on your small corpse! Let that sink in if you're fated to live longer!"
"Moro…" Sigurthur stares at her as he was trying to beg for forgiveness. "I'm so sorry about this…"
"Serves you right!" she said as she laughed. "Well, Scarface, how does it feel to be beaten down like a dog?! Oh, that felt good… From this day forward… I will never forgive you as long as I live!"
"Moro!"
Ippei came forth as she grabbed her by the scruff of her dress the moment she left into the main house. The older self followed with the demon by her side as she noticed Ippei chastising her younger self after berating Sigurthur earlier, for it was equal punishment on her part.
"How could you laugh at that boy like that?" he said to her.
"He gave me raw pork in which I thought it was raw beef!" she said. "As for what he got, I'm glad that his parents kicked his ass!"
"Sigurthur and his family are refugees who fled from the war between the Oranges and the Blues on Valinor. You should be kinder to them in which they're also suffering from being displaced. What if you were that person and someone laughed at your predicament? It wouldn't be fun, would it?"
Moro remembered Ippei's words as she returned to reality with the demon that was next to her. She was back in the infirmary wing as she wanted to go towards Sigurthur's room to see if he was alright. By the time she got there, she saw him barely hanging on as his vitals were dropping at an alarming rate. She may have harbored great resentment towards her former tormentor, but she also didn't want him to die, either. When she was about to touch at his hand, she saw the demon stop in front of her as he refused to let her comfort him, for he wanted her to harbor more turmoil towards him for the rest of his days.
"Get out of my way," she said.
"You're making a huge mistake, Moro," he said to her. "He's dead already, okay? There's no way of bringing back someone who doesn't respect you or anyone else in your family!"
"Look at him! He's on the verge of freezing to death in the middle of August and you won't let me go near him?!"
"He pranked you for eating that raw pork and now you pity him? His punishment is swift, but it's also instant karma in which you're now shown great satisfaction."
"No…, this isn't great satisfaction, it's misery! I can't let this continue! Sigurthur's girls need him right now after they lost their mother."
"If you do this by accepting his apology, then you'll be getting pranked again as if history keeps repeating itself like a broken record or some old hag playing the same movie over and over again! You'll be met with empty promises and lies the moment that your 'future husband' will prank you with raw pork again. Let him die, Moro. Let him be taken off life support and have his brats get shipped to an orphanage like you plan!"
Moro saw Sigurthur slipping away fast as she rushed closer to where he was. When she touched his hand, she saw it to be ice cold as she didn't want him to die. She was ready to forgive him as she also wanted to keep him warm, but not without the demon pulling her away and out of the hospital room in which he brought her to a storage room in which he wasn't about to let her do that, for he wanted her to keep a hold of her anger and resentment towards the man who was at death's door.
"Let me go!" she cried.
"You're not going near that man, you got that?" said the demon.
"I have to save him!"
"No! He'll only give you heartache and nothing more! And for the record, my name's Apollyon and I thrive on anger and resentment in which when I saw you berating your former tormentor, it made me feel good to see someone getting his ass handed to him by his own parents. Oh, he got a damn good whacking that marked his shame! Well, Moro, will you cling to your anger and continue to make me happy or do I have to make you do it?"
"Don't listen to him, Moro!"
Apollyon saw me break down the door of the storage room as he noticed me standing there. He knew a lot of me, but he was ready to do his worst until I used a banishing sigil to take him out of the castle. When I saw Moro, she was relieved that I came to the rescue as she was aware of what was going on, for she wanted to go see Sigurthur again before he fades away.
"How did you know what was going on?" she asked.
"I saw that demon for what he is, but he's also a man who happened to be Abaddon's right-hand man who got stuck here," I said. "Besides, your anger and resentment ended up being a trigger to bring that demon here like a worm baiting a fish."
"Does Dean know about this?"
"No, but I also know that Sigurthur suffers from the Freezing Heart of the Rejected. His body won't last long if you don't do your part."
Moro reluctantly agreed as I escorted her to Sigurthur's hospital room again. I feared the worst as his body was getting to the point of freezing to death in which I also had to intervene with seeing him safe from harm. Moro touched at his hand again as she refused to let go. She didn't want him to fade away as he had his daughters to look after. What she didn't expect was that the swirling thoughts of what Apollyon told her infiltrated her mind as she saw Sigurthur pulling the same prank on her just like he did when they were children, for it was a memory that could never go away quietly. She was starting to pull away from Sigurthur's hand as she heard Apollyon cackling in the background, for he was ready to claim her for another reason.
"Yes, Moro…, pull away before you get suckered into another prank," he said.
Moro found herself going towards the same table as she noticed that there wasn't any raw pork, but a plate of donburi with rice in which she was cautious to touch at the suspicious food. It was at that moment when she stood back as she wanted to pull away and leave Sigurthur in his frozen state until she saw a note that said the words, "This is the real donburi," in black letters scrawled on it. When she tasted the dish, she wasn't fooled as she noticed Sigurthur kneeling in which he was extremely sorry for what he did all those years ago, for she had to accept it for sure.
"I… forgive you," she said as she went and hugged a repentant Sigurthur.
"No!" yelled Apollyon as he entered into the fray. "He'll burn you again, can't you see that?!"
"No, it's you who will get burned!" Moro was putting her foot down as she was getting fed up with Apollyon's trickery. "He has two daughters to take care of and I won't let them go without a father!"
"Get away from him…, NOW!"
"No…, 'cause I'm gonna keep him warm."
Apollyon was ready to cause more damage until he saw Moro displaying her angelic aura in which she was getting tired of him causing more harm to her. When she saw him leaving, she was safe as she returned to reality in which she still held Sigurthur's hand the moment his vitals were returning to normal. He was warming up as he opened up his eyes to see her there in which she refused to let him go, for he had his daughters to think about.
"Moro?" he said as he removed his oxygen mask. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm keeping you warm," she said.
"I thought that you hated me… Why are you by my side now?"
"You were cold and no, I won't turn off your life support this time nor will I send your daughters to an orphanage, either. I heard you from a baby that came from a hallucination that I had in which it kept telling me that you were cold. I get the message now… and I will make sure that your girls are safe."
Moro proved her point as she stood by Sigurthur's side. Even though I was watching in the distance, I was glad that she saved him from a frozen death in which she also had enough courage to stand up to Apollyon, for he was a nuisance like all the other demons and dick angels before him. When I left the hospital room, I was making my way outside as I saw Albus in spirit form as he was dressed in his battle armor in which he was also making sure that Moro was happy, for he was also on his way to the Grey Havens as well.
"It's been a while, Sam," he said to me. "Still, I could never be with my dear Moro or my little ones, but I also can't bear to see her future husband suffer after what happened to him."
"Moro may be stubborn, but she can also protect the vulnerable," I said.
"It's good to hear, but I must also warn you about the hooligans who caused my demise in which they didn't act alone, for an old foe is with them while fleeing from Abaddon's forces. According to Jack, she has a bone to pick with you over the death of that scoundrel, Severin, six years ago. You should also be careful where you tread in which you're not alone."
"Sylvana…" I felt my hands shaking as I had a feeling that she would involve herself with the same terrorists who have an insatiable appetite for stealing Draaza technology. "I can't catch a break from her, but she can't come here, for the fog can take her far from here."
"That persistent harlot is out there, but her 'friends' are at large and wanting to kill anyone who witnesses them stealing from old ancient Draaza and Va'Kihri ships."
"Like the Freleng…"
"I may not have long, but tell Moro that I love her and I'll always be looking after her in the Grey Havens…"
I saw Albus take his leave as he went towards the Grey Havens. What I also saw was that my past self was there as he he escorted Albus to where he needed to get to before they were gone. When I was about to go back inside, I spotted Dean coming towards me as he was glad that I resolved Moro's dilemma, for it was good to see some normalcy after what happened earlier.
"Looks like you helped to save the day again," he said.
"I had to deal with a demon known as Apollyon in which I got a note that proved to be a warning," I said. "Whoever sent it must've had his reasons in which it proved useful in the end. With the problem resolved and Sigurthur's life saved, everything is back to normal, but there's also the resurfacing of an old foe that we haven't seen in a long time."
"'Old foe?'"
"Sylvana's back, but she's been busy collaborating with the Zenith Vectors in which she's also on Abaddon's shit list. As for what she's been doing, she wants revenge against me for Severin's death six years ago in which she's also to blame for aiding our new foes."
"So, Sylvana gave our enemies the juicy details about the base in the Dabb Mountains on Shiganshina, didn't she?" I nodded sincerely as I was also fearing the worst. "She must've told the head honcho about Magda in which he gutted her and nearly killed our boy. She has blood on her hands, Sam, not only for aiding her brother for killing her father, but she also helped to get rid of Magda and even Albus as well. She's also got a personal vendetta against you in which she won't stop until you're dead."
It wasn't long until we saw a flash of light coming towards us as it gave out an aura of welcoming the moment I noticed my past self standing in front of us. As usual, he was dressed in the same hoody and jacket with blue jeans as he was also there to deliver us a word of warning, for he was also aware of what was going on. Still, I had to listen to what he had to say as I couldn't say no to his presence, for he was mainly a herald of the Grey Havens after all.
"You're looking better," he said to me.
"And you still wear the same clothes," I said.
"Sorry, but they're the only ones I have…"
"C'mon, you could've dressed up like a cowboy or perhaps a Texas ranger," said Dean.
"Well, you're rocking the usual Pepe Le Pew look. As for what was seen earlier, I was the one who sent you that note about Apollyon in which he's also a Knight of Hell like Abaddon. As for your other problems, I heard about the Zenith Vectors in which their toxic alliance with Sylvana is bad news. You must be careful, Sam, for your enemies won't stop until they use you to the point of being disposed of."
"There's no end to this mess, is there?" I said.
"I'm afraid not…" My past self gives me a compass as he gives it to me. "This will keep you safe in which it can generate a fog to keep most enemies out. Your new foes have now targeted you so that you can open further Draaza derelicts just to add to their insatiable lust for power. Stay safe and aware of your surroundings, for you must never fall in the hands of your enemies."
I saw my past self leave to the Grey Havens as I was holding the compass in my hand. As for the Zenith Vectors targeting me, there was no break for me as I couldn't let myself fall prey to their scheme, for this wasn't over yet…
To be continued...
