"This should work, I think."

The calming voice belonged to Davidonell, Dimentio's father. There was another voice, one she did not recognize. Everything was dark, and she could not see their faces.

There was a crash and a scream, then a few thuds and bumps afterwards. There was chatting between two new voices, then one of them yelled.

"No, not the thieves!"

Silence came. Something, possibly a hand, touched her side.

"Hey Rex," his voice was young, "what do you think this is?"

Rex's voice was young as well. "Whatever it is, hand it over."

"Why? I found it?"

"Because I'm your elder, and you have to listen to me."

"You're only sixteen!"

"And you're fourteen. Which makes me older than you. So hand it over!"

"I'm more mature than you!"

"Don't lie to me, we both know that's not true."

"It's so beautiful. It's like looking into the stars."

Rex sighed. "Fine, we'll take it back to the base. But if that thing causes us any problems, then it's out of here! But you still need to let me take it."

"Oh...alright. Here you go."

A bang sounded, and it sounded as if Rex fell to the floor. The sound of footfalls moved from her, towards where Rex had fallen.

"Rex? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Tobias." The gravel shifted and they both walked back to her. "Let's just get home."
