Fallon's eyes open and she looks around the room she's in, and she glances over at the tank with the face in it okay so she didn't dream that.

"Fallon" he whispered into her mind, a feeling that felt odd. "It's really good to see you again my beautiful huntress" he continued taking on a slight teasing tone. Fallon sits up, pressing a hand to her head, still aching from that jump "nice to meet you I suppose?" Fallon says back politely.

Fallon stares at the face in the tank who looks back at her like they already knew each other so well then again the way she jumps around it's possible, she hears that chuckle again "they call me the face of Boe, but you knew me by a different name a long time ago, you'll understand one day"

Fallon nods as she looks around "where am I? Or maybe I should be asking when am I?" Fallon asks him curiously. "This is the year five point five slash apple slash twenty six. Five billion years in future, this is a place for observation" Fallon looks back at him "observation for what?"

"The end of the Earth" He tells her and her eyes widen at surprise, she knows it's technically not her Earth but it still hits hard. "So I take it I'm here, because the doctors going to turn up and save the day or Earth so to speak in some ridiculous not thought out plan of his?"

The face of Boe chuckles one again "No, not this time, you will learn in due time" They are interrupted by a meek steward coming in with a cap on holding a tray carrying a glass of water and small pot of two pills in it, she pauses in front of them "permission to speak please" she asks them meekly. Fallon gives a confused look "uh okay permission given?"

The steward looks up and then speaks "here is painkillers and water the face of Boe requested for his guest" and with that she holds the tray towards her "oh thanks I guess?" Fallon replies back to her politely as she takes the the glass and pots of the two weirdly coloured pills, as soon as she does the steward scurries back out the room. Fallon stares down at the water and pills they could be anything, they could do anything to her. She feels words wash through her mind once again "they will help with the harsh headache you have from jumping, you can trust me Fallon, I wouldn't hurt you" Fallon can feel just how honest those words are and takes the leap of faith and takes the two pills.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

It's a little while later, and the pills that she taken certainly did work, very fast come to think of it, at least medication has advanced well in the future she hums in thought, here she was waiting to go into some hall to watch the Earth burn as The face of Boes plus one, where is the doctor?

"From the Silver Devastation, the sponsor of the main event, please welcome the Face of Boe and his plus one Fallon Winchester" The steward announces and they both walk into the hall.

The announcement catches the doctors attention as well as his newest companion Rose "wait doctor isn't that the name of your jumping friend?" She asks him quietly, as she continues to wipe the saliva out her face that was just spat on her. The doctor nods as he looks over at The face of Boe and at the girl next to him "yes it is, remember when you speak to her you can give anything away incase she hasn't been through it yet" Rose gives him a sigh "I got it the first time you both told me" The glances at her "well I'm just reminding you, incase you forgot with that ape brain of yours"

The doctor turns back to the black robed group and smiles at them goofy "Ah! The Adherents of the Repeated Meme. I bring you air from my lungs." Blowing air on them, a metal hand holds out a ball and he chucks it to Rose who just manages to catch it "A gift of peace in all good faith." They say back to him in a weird distorted voice, before they glide away.

At this point Fallon has excused herself from the Face of Boe and makes her way over to Rose and the doctor, she waves and gives them a smile, she notices Rose looks a little dazed "Hey Rose nice to see you again" she then turns to the man next to her who's staring at her with an intense look, she slightly flounders underneath it before she starts to ramble "hi, you must be the Doctor, I've met you, well I haven't met this face of yours, I hope you've at least met me, or this is going to be awkward, don't think I'm ready for that part yet, I'm still getting used to things, feel free to stop me talking at any point.." The doctor still gives her that intense look before he breaks in to an amused smile and pulls her in for a hug, which she finds herself accepting relieved, "why would I stop you Fallon, it's entertaining watching you ramble, of course we've met before, a very long time now" he pulls back looking down at her. "We're best friends, by the sounds of it you're early, and this is my ninth face, we will go with that"

"Yeah, early this is my fourth jump, if we don't count the one with me jumping into this universe" she mutters to him, and he gives her a nod "quite early then and not fully changed yet either"

They are interrupted with the steward speaking once again "And last but not least, our very special guest. Ladies and gentlemen, and trees and multiforms, consider the Earth below. In memory of this dying world, we call forth the last Human. The Lady Cassandra O'Brien Dot Delta Seventeen."

They turn to look to see the last human being from this earth at least, Fallons face shows a slight disgust at what's classed as the last human being, it was a face in a piece of thin skin stretched in a rectangular frame is wheeled in by two men hidden in top-to-toe hospital whites, holding spray bottles, spraying her as they both move along side her.

"Oh, now, don't stare. I know, I know it's shocking, isn't it? I've had my chin completely taken away and look at the difference. Look how thin I am. Thin and dainty. I don't look a day over two thousand." Said Cassandra almost to brightly for Fallons taste. "Moisturise me. Moisturise me." She orders her men who continues to hurry and pump the spray onto the skin.

Fallon shakes her head and glances at Rose to see how she was taken this, considering that's her Earth, and well she's more human than the sheet of skin, she notices Rose getting closer to Cassandra, who looks like she just might go into shock, she wonders how long Rose has been with this doctor for.. and why he would bring her here?

Cassandra continued to prattle on "Truly, I am the last Human. My father was a Texan, my mother was from the Arctic Desert. They were born on the Earth and were the last to be buried in its soil. I have come to honour them and say goodbye. Oh, no tears, no tears." Fallon could feel the falseness coming off her in waves. "I'm sorry. But behold, I bring gifts. From Earth itself, the last remaining ostrich egg. Legend says it had a wingspan of fifty feet and blew fire from its nostrils." Fallon looks lost at the rubbish she is spouting and the fact everyone is lapping it up, she watches Rose as she walked round the back of Cassandra inspecting her. "Or was that my third husband? Oh, no. Oh, don't laugh. I'll get laughter lines. And here, another rarity."

Suddenly a 50s juke box is wheeled in "According to the archives, this was called an iPod. It stores classical music from humanity's greatest composers. Play on!" Fallon was more than amused when the attendant presses a button to play and Tainted Love blasts out of it classical sure, she turns and sees the doctor dancing along to the music, she can't help but roll her eyes at him in jest when he grins at her.

Fallon the spots Rose running out of the room, She turns to say to the Doctor but see him busy facing a tree like human? Fallon decides to go after her and see if she's okay, she doesn't get far when she feels some one take her arm she turns around and sees the doctor looking down at her with those intense blue eyes "where do you think you are disappearing too?" He asks her and she gives him a 'are you serious' look "to look for Rose who's just ran off"

He sighs and looks around "I did see that she was no longer present, which direction did she go in?"

Fallon shrugs "well not exactly, seen her head out the room but just not where, but she can't of went far, let's go this way" she says to him pointing to one of the ways they could go, they start to head down a long corridor, without any doors and windows in sight.

They take another sharp corner when they hear the stewards voice above them, "Would the owner of the blue box in private gallery fifteen please report to the Stewards office immediately. Guests are reminded that use of teleportation devices is strictly forbidden under Peace Treaty five point four slash cup slash sixteen. Thank you."

They both glance at each other "you deal with that and I will find Rose" Fallon offers him and he nods "all right that's fair" he agrees and heads in a different direction from her.

It doesn't take Fallon long to find Rose, she was sitting in one of the galleries overlooking the planet, she glanced up in surprise "oh it's you Fallon" she sighs a little glad that it's her.

Fallon gives her a smile "Yip just me" she approaches Rose and sits down next to her. "How are you with well all of this?" Fallon presses her gently.

Rose doesn't answer her, she stares out at the Earth silently. "You know it's okay to feel overwhelmed, it's a lot to take in" Fallon tells her gently before adding "I mean I'm from another universe, even I'm still trying to wrap my head around all this, and I had some crazy things in my own"

Rose just glances at her with a look and Fallon frowns slightly "wait you do know I'm from another universe right?" Fallon asks her and Rose smiles a little "yes I'm aware, you told the first time I met you it was wh-" Fallon quickly cuts her off "ah tell me no more, spoilers, I haven't done that yet"

"Right" Rose sighs out before looks back out at Earth. "It's just this isn't what I expected, I don't know if I can do this." Fallon tilts her head and tells her kindly "you know what I think? I think you can do this, I've met you in the future and one thing I can say is you are amazingly brave, and I think you are better than what you really think"

Rose smiles at her "you're really good at making people good about themselves" Rose tells her and Fallon flashes a smile back "I know it's a gift"

Before another word can be said, the doctor comes in the room with a cheerful look on his face "found her then" He takes a seat on the other side of the ledge and gives them a grin before asking Rose " What do you think, then?"

"Great. Yeah, fine." Rose says rather unconvincingly. "Once you get past the slightly psychic paper. They're just so alien." She starts to say quickly, and the doctor glances over at Fallon who shrugs at him. "The aliens are so...alien. You look at 'em and they're alien." Rose finishes saying.

Doctor rolls his eyes in jest and smirked "Good thing I didn't take you to the Deep South." He joked trying to make it less tense.

Fallon smiles slightly but Rose does not laugh, "Where are you from?" She asks him seriously. "I mean Fallon was open and honest about herself but you haven't said a word"

The doctor makes a hand gesture at her and shrugs "All over the place." He said vaguely. Rose is silent for another minute "They all speak English." She commented suspiciously, Fallon raises an eyebrow at the tone of suspicion in her voice.

The doctor grins and proudly tells her "No, you just hear English. It's a gift of the Tardis." The continues with pride for his amazing ship "The telepathic field, gets inside your brain and translates." He tells her giddily.

Rose sits up straight "It's inside my brain?" She asked a measured tone, clearly not happy about that fact then Fallon ponders.

"Well, in a good way." The doctor informed her slowly not getting what her problem is.

Rose scoffs starting to lose her patience "Your machine gets inside my head. It gets inside and it changes my mind, and you didn't even ask?" She shouted at him in frustration.

"I didn't think about it like that." The doctor answers back pensively with a frown on his face.

"No, you were too busy thinking up cheap shots about the Deep South." Rose shot back at him rather heatedly. "Who are you, then, Doctor? What are you called? What sort of alien are you?" she continued loudly.

The doctor shifted uncomfortably "I'm just the Doctor." He retorted back at her. "From what planet?" She continues to persist. The doctor shakes his head and scoffs out "Well, it's not as if you'll know where it is!"

"Where are you from?"

"What does it matter?"

"Tell me who you are!"

The doctor jumps up and tells her sternly "This is who I am, right here, right now, all right? All that counts is here and now, and this is me!"

Fallon starts to feel a sore head coming with all the emotions coming from them and clears her throat to get their attention but it doesn't work, Rose shouts at him "Yeah, and I'm here too because you two brought me here, so just tell me!"

They are both brought to silence when a loud whistle sounds out and they both turn to face Fallon a little surprised, "what don't look so surprised, I grew up with brothers had to be heard some way" Fallon retorts at them before she continues "you both need to give it a bloody rest, Rose, you have known him for like the whole of two minutes, you aren't entitled to his diary just yet." The doctor gives a smug look thinking Fallon is siding with him but he soon drops the smug grin when she glares at him. "and you, have some time, care and patience, she's only human, she's still wrapping her head round everything by the looks of it okay no more arguing got it?" They both grudgingly nod but both look away huffily.

Fallon sits down on the ledge and sighs looking out at the earth while they are all silent, The doctor looks over at her and he frowns he doesn't like it when she's annoyed or angry at him, he prefers her smiling and laughing and him being the one that's made it happen.

Rose glances between them both and then sighs "All right. As my mate Shareen says, don't argue with the designated driver." Fallon gives her a light smile at her words but the doctor doesn't react to them. Rose pulls her mobile phone out her pocket and holds it up in the air "Can't exactly call for a taxi. There's no signal. We're out of range. Just a bit." She continues a little wryly.

The doctor glanced down at Fallon and she gives an encouraging smile and he jumps up and his frosty demeanour instantly melts away at her smile "Tell you what—" he takes the phone out her hand, and starts to fiddle about with it "...With a little bit of jiggery pokery."

"Is that a technical term, jiggery pokery?" Rose says teasingly to him and he snickers "Yeah, I came first in jiggery pokery. What about you?" Rose gives a shake of her head "No, I failed hullabaloo."

Fallon smiles as she watches them both she really likes seeing the start of their blossoming friendship it's nice to see.

"Oh. There you go." The doctor tosses back her phone, she looks down at the phone she's caught on her hands and cautiously picks it up and dials a number on it and puts the phone to her ear, she steps away for some privacy.

The doctor approaches Fallon "want me to fix up your phone or has another me already done it?" Fallon gives him a weird look "I don't have a phone, well the phone I did have is still in my universe" The doctor nods and looks back out at planet Earth in thought future Fallon did have a phone, must not of got it yet, then again she did say this would be classed as her fourth jump

They're attention is brought back to Rose now cheery again "No. I'm fine." She chuckles slightly "Top of the world." Fallon smiles at the pun while the doctor rolls his eyes as she hangs the phone up.

"Think that's amazing, you want to see the bill." The doctor tells her cheekily.

Rose doesn't answer she stares out at the empty planet Earth "That was five billion years ago. So," Fallon smiles nods crazy to think about, but her smile drops a little when she hears Roses next comment "she's dead now. Five billion years later, my mum's dead."

The doctor gives Fallon a 'are you hearing this' look, before rolling his eyes "Bundle of laughs, you are." The doctor tells Rose.

She goes to retaliate but the entire space station starts to shake, the floor trembles, Fallon tries to steady herself and she looks over at the doctor who has an excited gleam in his eyes one that she has seen on future faces of his and she knows what ever that was he's going to find out.

"That's not supposed to happen." He says eagerly to him before he reaches down and grabs Fallons hand and pulls her along with him as Rose follows behind them, they enter the main viewing deck

When they enter they hear a broadcast overhead "Honoured guests may be reassured that gravity pockets may cause slight turbulence, thanking you."

"That sounds like a cover up" Fallon mutters to the doctor and he nods "because you are right, That wasn't a gravity pocket." He shakes his head and as he keeps a hold of her hand and walks further into the room "I know gravity pockets and they don't feel like that. What do you think, Jabe?" Fallon gives a confused look Jabe? Who's Jabe? It comes clear to her when she spots a tree like woman standing behind them listening very close to their conversation.

"Listened to the engines. They've pitched up about thirty Hertz. That dodgy or what?" He proceeds to ask her.

Jabe gives a small smile at him, "It's the sound of metal. It doesn't make any sense to me." She confessed to them.

The doctor smiled back at her "Where's the engine room?"

"I don't know," Jabe replied back gently before looking between him and Fallon and them holding hands "but the maintenance duct is just behind our guest suite, I could show you and...your wife... wives?"

Fallon pulls her hand away from his flushing a little, and he himself blushes at Jabes insinuations "She's not my wife... and the blonde one isn't either"

Despite that Jabe still smirks and continues "Partner?"

..."No."

"Concubines?"

"Nope."

"Prostitutes?" Fallons mouth drops open at that and goes to retort and the doctor grimaces "No, and don't ever say that about her" Jabe nods and offers her apologies, Fallon decides to leave at that knowing there is other things to be concerned about.

Rose scoffs still not happy with the outcome and seemingly not one to drop things "You know, Whatever I am, it must be invisible. Do you mind? Tell you what, you three go and pollinate. I'm going to catch up with family. Quick word with Michael Jackson." She finishes with a nod in Cassandra's direction.

"Don't start a fight." The doctor begged Rose before turning back to Fallon and Jabe, he takes Fallons hand back in his where it rightly should be, and offers Jabe his arm "I guess we are all yours" he tells Jabe cheekily and she takes his arm.

"And I want you both home by midnight." Rose shouts after them and Fallon turns and gives her a grin "we won't be late"

They make their way through the maintenance duct, having to duck around the multitude of pipes they don't notice the multitude of spiders scuttling out of sight behind the swags of wiring and piping "Who's in charge of Platform One? Is there a Captain or what?" The doctor asks Jabe.

"There's just the Steward and the staff. All the rest is controlled by the metal mind."

"You mean the computer?" The doctor inquired and Fallon furrows her eyebrows and asks curiously "But surely someone must control that right?" The doctor smiles at Fallon and says proudly "Early and still asking all the right questions" She shakes her head, maybe a little pleased at the praise but she won't tell him that.

"The Corporation." She replied gently before she continues explaining "They move Platform One from one artistic event to another."

Fallon gives a weird look "I don't see how a planet burning is an artistic event, each to their own I suppose"

"But there's no one from the Corporation on board." The doctor points out.

Jabe shrugs and tells them in such a polite voice Fallon can't help but note, "They're not needed. This facility is purely automatic. It's the height of the Alpha class. Nothing can go wrong."

Fallon sighs at that "Anything can go wrong anywhere, I mean people start thinking nothing can go wrong get comfortable and then things get missed... that's like saying the place is—"

"Unsinkable?" The doctor finishes for her.

Jabe smiles at the both of them thinking they so well suited to each other. "If you like. The nautical metaphor is appropriate."

"You're telling me. I was on board another ship once. They said that was unsinkable. I ended up clinging to an iceberg. It wasn't half cold." The doctor tells them and Fallon shakes her head, Glad I wasn't there for that one.

The doctor stops and gives them a big grin "So, what you're saying is, if we get in trouble there's no one to help us out?"

"I'm afraid not."

The doctor claps his hands and cheerfully says "Fantastic." Before walking on.

Jabe tilts her head and asks a little confused "I don't understand. In what way is that fantastic?" Fallon gives her arm a gently squeeze "he means in the way that he can get up to all sorts"

"Oi! I heard that"

Fallon grins in response, and they follow after him "So tell me, Jabe" he began trying to make some sort of small talk "what's a tree like you doing in a place like this?"

"Respect for the Earth." Jabe replied back truthfully. Fallon can tell she's holding something a little back, she can feel it and by the looks of the doctors face he thinks the same.

The doctor shakes his head and protests "Oh, come on. Everyone on this platform's worth zillions."

"Well, perhaps it's a case of having to be seen at the right occasions." Jabe stated right back at him. He raises an eyebrow "In case your share prices drop?" He retorts back dubiously before continuing "I know you lot. You've got massive forests everywhere, roots everywhere, and there's always money in land."

"All the same, we respect the Earth as family." Jabe insisted proudly. "So many species evolved from that planet. Mankind is only one.I'm another. My ancestors were transplanted from the planet down below, and I'm a direct descendant of the tropical rainforest."

Fallon smiles softly this universe just keeps proving how different it really is from hers "that's sound really wonderful" and Jabe smiles back at her in response.

"Excuse me." The doctor says as they approach a control panel, he starts to scan the screen, Fallon leans next to him watching him, when Jabe continues the conversation "And what about your ancestry, Doctor? Perhaps you could tell a story or two. Perhaps a man only enjoys trouble when there's nothing else left." Fallon looks up at him and he's already looking at her, with a haunted look in his eyes, his eyes are so old and expressive.

Jabe continues silently "I scanned you earlier. The metal machine had trouble identifying your species. It refused to admit your existence. And even when it named you, I wouldn't believe it. But it was right. I know where you're from." Fallon doesn't look away from the doctor, she notices a tear in his eye and she reaches out to comfort him putting her hand on his arm and he places his on top of hers she doesn't know the full story but knows he will tell her when it's time.

Jabe observes them both, before gently telling the doctor "Forgive me for intruding, but it's remarkable that you even exist. I just wanted to say how sorry I am." He nods as the tear falls from his eye and he turns away from Fallon when the door panel finally opens and the doctor walks into it.

The engine room is huge, it ran the whole depth of platform one by the looks of it, the three of them walk up to a catwalk that ran through a series of large fans, but what Fallon notices is how cold it it is.

"Is it me, or is it a bit nippy? The doctor pondered as he looks over at Fallon and Jabe, he noticed Jabe doesn't look too bothered about the cold, but Fallon obviously was when she zipped her jacket up some more.

"No it's not just you, it's definitely cold Doc" Fallon

"Fair do's, though, that's a great bit of air conditioning. Sort of nice and old-fashioned. Bet they call it retro." He gives her a grin as he scans a panel "Gotcha." He yells out triumphantly, as he pulls it off and out scuttles a metal looks spider, it startles them as they watch it run up the wall.

"What the hell's that?" The doctor exclaims, Fallon shrugs "I doubt it came from hell" Fallon mutters. Jabe gives her a curious look before asking "Is it part of the retro?"

"I don't think so." The doctor points his screwdriver at it. "Hold on." But before he can do anything Jabe Lassoes it with a tree root "that was epic" Fallon blurts out and the doctor nods appreciatively "yes, nice liana."

If tree people could blush then Jabe would definitely be blushing, she gives them a sheepish smile "Thank you. We're not supposed to show them in public."

Fallon gives her a reassuring smile "meh I wouldn't worry, we are pretty good at keeping secrets, we won't tell a soul"

The doctor grins a little "Fallon isn't wrong there," he states as he looks over the metal spider now in his hands. "Now then, who's been bringing their pets on board?" Fallon looks at it curiously "so what does the little eight legged freak do?"

"Sabotage." The doctor replies back darkly.

"Earth Death in ten minutes." The computer kindly reminds them "And the temperature's about to rocket. Come on." The doctor grabs Fallons hand and they race out the engine room.

~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•

They run out into the corridor and they find smoke from the room filling the corridor and a small group of the assistants have gathered outside of it "Hold on. Get back." The doctor shouts as he pushes himself and Fallon through the group of assistants he drops her hand for a moment and sonics another small panel.

"Sun filter rising. Sun filter rising" a female computerised voice sounds out. Fallon has a feeling of dread wash over her.

"Is the Steward in there?!" Jabe asks urgently. "You can smell him." The doctor replies looking back at the other panel "Hold on, there's another sun filter programmed to descend." Fallons heart drops and she just feels dread

The doctor runs off and Fallon follows close behind him. He stops at a door as someone frantically bangs on the inside as a computer voice sounds out "Sun filter descending. Sun filter descending."

"Anyone in there?" He calls out as he works on the door panel "Let me out!" Rose repeats again anxiously, the doctor groans in annoyance, Fallons eyes widen in worry and thoughts fly through her mind, Rose got to be fine after this, she seen Rose in the future right, surely she must be fine, time can't be rewritten just like that right?

"Oh, well, it would be you." The doctor mutters to himself a little sourly, Fallon gives him a glare "not the time doctor"

The sun filter slowly begins to rise again and Fallon feels a little relief, that yeah Rose is going to be fine, all they need to do is open the door now, but that relief was quickly destroyed when the filter started to descend once again.

"What's it doing? Why's it doing that?" Fallon asks as it keeps changing from rising to descending rapidly.

The doctor doesn't look up, "Just what we need." The doctor continues to rapidly work "The computer's getting clever."

"Stop mucking about!"Rose shouts through the door and the doctor scoffs "I'm not mucking about. It's fighting back." He argues back a little petulantly.

"Open the door!" Rose shouts frantically. "He's trying Rose, just give him a minute okay, you'll be fine" Fallon promises her through the door.

Rose goes quiet for a moment before she shouts again "The lock's melted!"

Just as they think the doctor has made work with the computer it starts to go back and forth again before the doctor finally gets it right. "Sun filter descending. Sun filter. Descending. Sun filter rising. Sun filter rising."

Rose bangs on the door again, but they aren't for budging "The whole thing's jammed. I can't open the doors." The doctor informs them. "Stay there! And don't move!"

Fallon gives him a look and sarcastically says to him "she's hardly going to go anywhere, she ain't Houdini" he rolls his eyes but doesn't reply to her. Though it does go through his head that they should pay Houdini a visit again.

They both arrive in the observation deck, Jabe is in the middle of explaining what is going on "The metal machine confirms. The spider devices have infiltrated the whole of Platform One." She says in a calm measured tone.

"How's that possible? Our private rooms are protected by a code wall." Cassandra protests "Moisturise me, moisturise me." her servants immediately spritz her, Fallon stares at her for a moment something about her demeanour rubs her up the wrong way.

"Summon the Steward." The Moxx of Balhoon suggested, Fallon grimaced a little well that won't be happening. "I'm afraid the Steward is dead." Jabe announced grimly. "Who killed him?" The Moxx of Balhoon demanded

Cassandra is the first to quickly point fingers "This whole event was sponsored by the Face of Boe." Fallon glances over at the giant head, the same one who helped her and said he was friends of not only the doctors but hers, despite not knowing him she has the feeling he's innocent in this. "He invited us. Talk to the Face. Talk to the Face."

The doctor puts his hand up to silence the room and firmly tells them "Easy way of finding out." He holds up the metal spider"Someone bought their little pet on board. Let's send him back to master." He puts the spider down the spider scuttles off to Cassandra and scans her, then goes to the black gowned group.

Again Cassandra is quick to jump "The Adherents of the Repeated Meme. J'accuse!" She exclaims rather falsely.

Fallon scoffs a little and gives her a suspicious look "you seem awfully quick to latch on to the blame game" Cassandra gives Fallon a glare "hmm maybe it's you then!"

That annoys Fallon and the doctor pulls her back by the hand and gives it's a squeeze "I have an idea" he whispers to her before he steps forward. "That's all very well, and really kind of obvious, but if you stop and think about it" he walks over to the, Adherants. Their leader tries to hit him, so he pulls of its arm, revealing a bunch of wires, the crowd gasp collectively.

"A Repeated Meme is just an idea. And that's all they are, an idea." He points out as he pulls one of the wires dangling from the arm, and all the Adherants all collapse."Remote controlled Droids. Nice little cover for the real troublemaker. Go on, Jimbo. Go home." The doctor gives the spider a nudge and it returns back to Cassandra.

Fallon snorts a little "well would you look at that" Cassandra scowls at her and bitterly says to the doctor "I bet you were the school swot and never got kissed. At arms!" Her attendants immediately raise their spray guns.

"What are you going to do, moisturise me?" The doctor mocked her.

"With acid." Cassandra smirked "Oh, you're too late, anyway. My spiders have control of the mainframe." Fallon rolls her eyes if she had a dollar for every time some baddie monologued she would be rich "Oh, you all carried them as gifts, tax free, past every code wall. I'm not just as pretty face." Cassandra winks at them.

"Sabotaging a ship while you're still inside it? How stupid's that?" The doctor points out scoffing at the stupidity.

"I'd hoped to manufacture a hostage situation with myself as one of the victims. The compensation would have been enormous." Cassandra continues to explain what her plan was.

"Five billion years and it still comes down to money." The doctor grumbles at the greed. "Money or power it's always one of the two" Fallon added.

"Do you think it's cheap, looking like this? Flatness costs a fortune." Cassandra argued her case "I am the last human, Doctor. Me. Not that freaky little blonde kid of yours or that cheap bitchy sidekick next to you" The doctors eyes darken a little at the insult towards his companion and his Fallon.

"Arrest her, the infidel" the Moxx of Balhoon shouts. "Oh, shut it, pixie. I've still got my final option." Cassandra retorts back smugly.

"Earth Death in three minutes." The computerised voice announces.

"And here it comes." Cassandra smirks at everybody in the room, rather pleased with herself "You're just as useful dead, all of you. I have shares in your rival companies and they'll triple in price as soon as you're dead. My spiders are primed and ready to destroy the safety systems. How did that old Earth song go? Burn, baby, burn." She says in a sing song voice wickedly.

"Then you'll burn with us." Jabe points out angrily.

"Oh, I'm so sorry." Cassandra says to them mockingly "I know the use of teleportation is strictly forbidden, but I'm such a naughty thing. Spiders, activate." The room suddenly shakes when there is a series of explosions through the Platform, the doctor automatically goes to shield Fallon. "Forcefields gone with the planet about to explode. At least it'll be quick. Just like my fifth husband." She lets out a laugh "Oh, shame on me."

"Safety systems failing."

"Bye, bye, darlings. Bye, bye, my darlings." Cassandra coos at everyone before she and her attendants disappear completely from the room.

"She's disgusting, and I've met some disgusting characters in my time" Fallon spat out and the doctor nods agreeing with her absentmindedly busy thinking of what to do next.

"Heat levels rising." The computer announces and everyone starts panicking "Reset the computer." The Moxx of Balhoon frantically yells. Jabe shakes her head at him "Only the Steward would know how." She states calmly.

Both the doctor and Fallon look at each other, they both silently come to an understanding they aren't prepared to let anyone else die. "No. We can do it by hand. There must be a system restore switch." He turns towards Fallon taking her hand. "Jabe, come on. with us...You lot, just chill."

"..Heat rising."

"Heat levels critical." The computer announces as the Rio find there way back into the engine room, heat levels were certainly critical, it was hotter than a sauna, Fallon unzips her jacket this time, unsurprisingly the doctor didn't look to be that affected another TimeLord ability I wonder. Fallon glances over at Jabe, she's made of wood this heat would really affect her. They all look around for the system restore switch "oh" The doctor can't help but let out a sarcastic laugh "And guess where the switch is."

Fallon looks in the direction that the doctor is staring in and noticed that the switch is on the other side of the fast turning razor sharp fans, of course it is, nothing is ever simple. The doctor walks over and pulls a breaker level and the fans slow a little but it resets as soon as he lets go of it

"External temperature five thousand degrees." The computer warns, Fallon watches as Jabe walks towards the breaker and Fallon gets in her way, Jabe gives her a surprised look when Fallon, herself holds it down, The doctor whips round in horror when he realises what Fallon is doing "No Fallon, you can't , The heat's going to vent through this place."

Fallon shakes her head and states clearly "Look someone has to hold it down, Jabes made of wood, it would kill her yeah? We all have jobs too do, I'll hold the breaker down, you get to the switch and Jabe can go get as many people as she can to shelter" The doctor gives her a lingering look. "You're wasting time Doc! Get too it!" Fallon reminds him firmly. He nods looking reluctant but gets on with the task heading to the fans, while, Jabe runs out the room to help the others.

"Heat levels hazardous." The doctor manages to make it past the first fan, Fallon winces in pain, the metal of the breaker was getting hotter and hotter, burning into her hands, she ignores the pain as best as she can repeating in her head you are Fallon Winchester, you are a survivor, 1,2,3 you can do this.

The doctor glances back at Fallon worriedly, he can see the pain, he turns back and manages to time his run and he gets past the second fan. The breaker gets hot and hotter and the skin on Fallons hand starts to blister and sizzle, her legs wobble and she lets out a sob of pain, she can't hold on anymore and she lets go and falls to her knees clutching her hands to her chest.

The fans speed up again faster than before, they look like a blur, "Planet explodes in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five" The doctor closes his eyes and walks past the last fan. "Four" he opens his eyes and realised he is safe and quickly dashes for the reset breaker "Raise shields!" He shouts out.

The fans have slowed right down and the doctor can easily walk back, he quickly makes his way over to Fallon, finding her on the floor sobbing his hearts break at the sight he quickly gets down in front of her, he moves her the hair sticking to her face out the way "you done really well, fantastic even, come on let's get you up and looked at" He helps her up onto her feet and takes her hands in his and winces at them, he lets them go for a minute before he looks through his pockets and pulls out some strange fabric, he uses it to wrap around her hands, her hands automatically feel cool and not as painful, she gives him a look and he smiles "still looking as lovely as ever" he tells her trying to cheer her up before adding "It's healing fabric picked it up in the market on Tiaanamat, I will fix you up properly on the Tardis" he reassures her "Let's go got one more thing to sort out"

The doctor supports Fallon out the engine room and back towards the observation deck, his face turns cold and dark.

Rose enters the observation deck and spots The doctor and Fallon and runs over to them, she spots Fallons hands "god Fallon are you okay?" Fallon nods "I'm fine... I'll be fine" The doctor presses a quick kiss to her head and reluctantly lets her go, he glances around and sees that majority of room is unharmed, Jabe and the other trees are huddled in one side all unharmed , she gives him a smile and he returns it briefly.

"You all right?" Rose this time asks the doctor the question.

"Yeah, I'm fine. He responded offhandedly. "I'm full of ideas, I'm bristling with them. Idea number one, teleportation through five thousand degrees needs some kind of feed." He looks around the room until he spots what he is looking for and starts walking towards it "Idea number two, this feed must be hidden nearby." He grabs the ostrich egg and smashes it open to reveal a small device "Idea number three, if you're as clever as me, then a teleportation feed can be reversed." He presses the button on the device.

"Oh, you should have seen their little alien faces." Cassandra's voice rings out in the room as she's beamed back in "o-oh" she stutters out when she sees how severe the doctors face is "The last human." He sneers at her.

"So, you passed my little test. Bravo. This makes you eligible to join, er, the Human Club." Cassandra rambles, aware that is most definitely in trouble but still doesn't really care.

"People have died, people are hurt Cassandra. You murdered them." The doctor states getting more and more angry the more he talks and Cassandra continues to make it much worse with every word she speaks.

"It depends on your definition of people, and that's enough of a technicality to keep your lawyers dizzy for centuries." Cassandra retorts right at him. "Take me to court, then, Doctor, and watch me smile and cry and flutter"

"And creak?"

"And what?" Cassandra asked confused.

"Creak. You're creaking." He points out as the creaking noise starts to fill the room, the stretch of skin starts to panic "What? Ah! I'm drying out! Oh, sweet heavens. Moisturise me, moisturise me!" But theres no one about to do that for or even anyone who wants too "Where are my surgeons? My lovely boys! It's too hot!"

Cassandra continues to creak and screech "Have pity! Moisturise me! Oh, oh, Doctor. I'm sorry. I'll do anything."

Fallon turns away, feeling disgusted but also with the fact that even for a piece of skin she can still feel the anguish rolling off of Cassandra, Rose steps up beside the doctor and Fallon "Help her." She whispers to them.

The doctors cold look doesn't change, he can still hear Fallons sob in his head, he's not budging on this "Everything has its time and everything dies." He states coldly.

"I'm ...too young!" Cassandra shrieks before she promptly explodes into pieces.

Fallon watches as the parts that were once were Earth fly into the red giant sun, the doctor approaches and stands next to her "it's weird I'm looking out and watching the last of earth and I should feel sad or something, but I just can help but think it's not my earth, all the people gone wherever else weren't my people... and I shouldn't think like that but I am and it just makes me feel so alone"

The doctor is silent for a moment "My planets gone, it's dead, burned just like the earth, all the people I knew all gone, I'm the last of my kind, after a dreadful war, I'm alone... but you want to know something I'm not really and neither are you... we have each other... always." Fallon turns to look at him and she smiles at him "always I like that"

He smiles back "come let's get those hands treated and make sure Rose hasn't broke anything in my ship" They go to head towards the Tardis but Fallons hands start to glow painfully due to the burns "ahh" He turns to look at her "Fallon when you land find whatever me you end up with and get those ha-"

She doesn't get to hear the end of the sentence when she jumps but luckily lands in someone's arms she glances up and notices it's the first doctor she met, his eleventh face, he grins down at her "well hello there Lovely"
