Welcome back to Ashes of Midnight. Last time, Cynder took on the task of taking down Bruce Banner's demonic energy barrier, with a little help from The Hunter's hellhoud, Charlie. Thankfully, she succeeded, bringing reinforcements to aid her in the battle against Fallen Scarlet Witch and Fallen Spyro. Just as the battle was ending, Cynder tried pulling the darkness out of the two of them, but the scene cut to a flash of light just as Caretaker was asking them what they think they've done. We didn't see how it worked. I'm not going to hold this off any longer. Let's see if this risky maneuver actually paid off...

(Our scene opens up with Caretaker standing at the edge of the Abbey, waiting for everybody to get back to read them the Riot Act for trying something so reckless. But then, a massive Limbo Portal opens up behind them, and one by one the team starts dropping down. First Magik, then Nico Minoru, then Cynder and Charlie. And soon the Gamma Accelerator follows. Not knowing if the enemy is coming with it, Caretaker prepares to strike anything. But then we see the Gamma Accelerator is surrounded in distinctly scarlet magic and violet energy. Then sure enough, right behind it, are Spyro and Scarlet Witch, no longer part of Lilith's Fallen. The huge gamble Cynder took paid off in spades, leaving Caretaker completely taken by surprise.)

Caretaker: (As Spyro and Scarlet Witch land) I don't believe it...

(And it seems everybody has gotten the news, as in short order Blade, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange and Captain America have joined everybody out on the grounds)

Nico Minoru: I told you they could be restored!

Caretaker: This... this shouldn't be possible.

Cynder: Guess you really need to rethink that belief, Sara.

(But then, a surprising guest appears, as the ghost of Agatha Harkness appears, looking specifically at Spyro and Scarlet Witch, though nobody sees her.)

Agatha Harkness: Welcome home.

(And just like that, Agatha Harkness is gone again. But for now, everybody focuses back in on the return of Spyro and Scarlet Witch)

Doctor Strange: I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it right now.

Iron Man: To be honest, I still don't!

Magik: Score one for the Midnight Suns.

Caretaker: Even though this plan of yours may have worked, it was still incredibly reckless.

Cynder: Reckless? Maybe. But even you can't argue with the results. What you thought was impossible, clearly isn't.

Caretaker: Still, I'd be hesitant. We can't be sure you got every drop of Lilith and Malefor's evil out of them.

Cynder: To be honest, right now, since my best friend and true love have finally come back, I couldn't care less.

Caretaker: (Looks out at the joyful reunion) I don't blame you, to be honest.

(Seeing Caretaker is actually happy for her in this moment, Cynder rejoins her two long missed companions, and Caretaker looks back towards the Abbey, and it looks like she sees some remnant of Agatha Harkness' ghost, but dismisses it as she looks back on this rejoined group.)

Caretaker: As much as I hate to interrupt the reunion, we've had a very long day. I think we should probably get some rest.

Nico Minoru: Forget resting, we're taking this reunion through the night. This is worth celebrating!

Cynder: You guys can celebrate all you want. (Yawns) That took a lot out of me, though. So I'm probably going to head for bed.

Magik: Suit yourself.

(With that, just about everybody heads inside, with the exception of Cynder, Scarlet Witch, and Spyro)

Scarlet Witch: Cynder, wait.

Cynder: What's up?

Scarlet Witch: I just wanted to thank you.

Spyro: Both of us do. I don't even want to know what would have happened to us if you hadn't shown up.

Cynder: Right now, the fact that you two are back, that's thanks enough.

Spyro: I can certainly say this, after everything that's happened. I have a whole new understanding of what happened to you.

Cynder: (Touches The Hunter's collar) The feeling's mutual, Spy.

Scarlet Witch: Wait, is that The Hunter's collar? How did you...?

Cynder: There's a lot to catch you two up on. We'll talk it out in the morning. Right now, let's get some sleep.

Spyro: Agreed.

Scarlet Witch: That makes three of us. Now all we need for this to be complete is one of Magik's legendary breakfast burritos.

Cynder: Something tells me that's in the plan.

(And with that, this trio rejoins everybody inside, Spyro and Cynder intertwining their tails as they walk, ending our scene for today)

And that looks like a good spot to leave off on for now. I don't think there's much that needs to be said here. It worked. It actually freaking worked! Spyro and Scarlet Witch are free of Lilith and Malefor's control! But the adventure's not over yet. They've still got the big bosses to deal with. And with the Gamma Accelerator recovered, the team needs to recover the Parchment of Power to hopefully destroy it. Will they be able to pull it off? Tune in next time to start finding out!
