Arcellious and Rachael are walking down the halls to chancellor sheppards office. "Did you really need to bang that loudly on my door?" Arcellious asked. "If i didn't do it now you probably would've stayed up for another four hours" Rachael said as they passed Kurenai and a man with glasses. "Who's that?" Arcellious asked. "No idea, we need to see grandpa so let's go" Rachael said and walked on. Arcellious rounded the corner and began listening.
"You still didn't answer my question on what you're doing here!" Kurenai said. "And it's as I told you Kurenai, is it a crime to stop by and say hello like a normal human?" the man said. "Given the letter you sent me kinda says otherwise" Kurenai said. "Look… you know I can't go around talking about my type of work with someone who is not inside the administration" the man said. "Yet I saw Alex, Helios, and Makoto earlier and on top of that Starlight visited me last night before I went to bed" Kurenai said, folding her arms and tossed her hair. "Ok makoto is a coworker, he went to grab alex, i went to grab helios. Besides I instructed Helios to use his hells high deck to give a fight but not go overboard and curb stomp his opponent to the ground with the memento stuff he switched to since. As far as starlights concern it was a little difficult getting a hold of her since she's not super tech savvy but she agreed when she heard others would be involved" the man said.
"Hold on" Kurenai said and looked down the hall. "What?" the man said. "Ssh" Kurenai said and started walking. Kurenai jumped around the corner and didn't see Arcellious standing there. "You alright?" the man said. "Yeah… i… sorry it must've been my imagination or something. I thought someone was eavesdropping on us" Kurenai said. "Wasn't starlight i can tell you that. You and i both know her presence when she's watching us. But nice to know You've grown eyes in the back of your head, and that lesson stuck with you" the man said. "Who all from hells high do you have with you?" Kurenai said. "Just those three, what about you? Did you ask anyone to help out?" the man asked.
"No… I didn't want to because I wasn't sure if you would've gotten to them first. But… we do have some very powerful weapons at our disposal. That's all I am going to say" Kurenai said. "I look forward to the results" the man said and walked away. "I won't let you down sensei" Kurenai said as she watched the man walk.
As Arcellious as Rachael walked into the chancellor's office they saw Jane looking through her phone with a small blonde girl with pointy twin tails showing her photos. "Who's that?" Rachael asked. As Rachael walked forward Arcellious stopped her and gave Chancellor Sheppard a stern look. "There something you want to tell us grandpa?" Arcellious said with a very serious tone. Chancellor Sheppard looked at the girl as she looked up from Jane's phone.
"You know if you don't say it i can easily read your mind and find out for myself right?" Arcellious said tapping the millennium eye. "Arcellious… please… don't make this harder than it needs to be" Chancellor sheppard said. "Then spill it!" Arcellious said loudly. "Celly! That's no way to act around our baby sister" Jane said. Rachael looked at jane a little speechless. "Uhh… what did you just say?" Rachael said. Jane looked at Rachael knowing she's about to lose her temper.
"Dad has been gone… for the last fifteen years.…. And he had another daughter AND THAT WASN'T THE FIRST FUCKING THING YOU TOLD US!" Rachael yelled. "I was going to tell you, honest. I was trying to figure out how" Chancellor Sheppard said. "DAD HAS BEEN ALIVE THIS ENTIRE TIME AND YOU FUCKING KNEW ABOUT THIS DIDN'T YOU!" Rachael yelled. Chancellor Sheppard opened his mouth as if to say something but was cut off by Rachael. "DIDNT YOU!" Rachael yelled louder.
The small girl began tearing up as Jane grabbed her hand and quickly pulled her out of the office. "Trust me, it's best we leave. For your sake. You do not need to see this side of our big sister and get the wrong first impression" Jane said. The girl looked up at her concerned and wanted to listen. "Let's get some ice cream shall we?" Jane suggested.
"How long… has he been… alive?" Rachael said angrily. "Rachael-" "SHUT UP!" Rachael said, snapping at Arcellious. "You tell me… or i'm going to make you tell me" Rachael said pointing at her grandfather walking toward him. "You don't want to do this" Chancellor Sheppard said. "Do not push me" Rachael said. "Don't. Push. me!" Chancellor Sheppard yelled, standing up. "You listen to me rachael… there are a lot of things I have kept hidden from you children because I was protecting you! Yes, your father is alive. Yes, I have kept that hidden from you. No, I did not want to hide this from you because I wanted to tell you when you kids were more mature!" Chancellor Sheppard said.
"I know… you have issues with your father. I have issues with the bastard too. I do not approve of what he did running away from his kids after your mother died when Jane was born. And I am sorry for the lives you all have had because of your grandmother and me not being there to protect you from her! But you need to understand something Rachael Aurora Sheppard… you have let this grudge and this hatred for your father dictate your childhood and your life because you cannot find it in your heart to forgive the man who helped bring you into this life!
Think about this for a minute. He walked out on you kids when you were six years old. And yes you told me he promised he'd come back. But don't you think you're being immature by being mad at someone over a promise that was never kept over fifteen years ago!" Chancellor Sheppard said. Chancellor Sheppard sat down trying to stay calm. "At some point you're going to need to find it in your heart to forgive him for what he has done to you two. I know it's not going to be easy IF he ever decides to show his face to you two… but it's best you start now that you know that your father is alive" Chancellor sheppard said and laced his fingers.
Arcellious closed his eye as his mind went back to the childhood he was given as Rachael turned away from their grandfather. "How long?" Rachael asked. "She'll be seven later this year" Chancellor Sheppard said. "Are you expecting us to take her in?" Rachael asked in a low tone. "I'd like you to… but i know you need time to think things over and talk about it with both Arcellious and Jane first. So go do that" chancellor sheppard said.
Rachael saw Arcellious was re-living pain and grabbed his hand pulling him out of the room and got his attention.
