Sam woke up with a weight on his chest looking down and saw Fi asleep. He ran his hand up and down her back, watching her sleep. He fell back asleep and Fi woke up not long after. Fi leant up, watching him sleep. She tried moving but Sam woke up,

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"No where." She whispered, kissing him.

He kissed her back, after she broke the kiss, leaning back resting her head on his chest.

"How long do we have until Charlie is awake?" Fi asked.

"A while, it's early round 5."

Fi hummed, her hand resting on his chest. They both just laid there, in silence in each other's arms.

"Have you thought anymore about Mikey?" Sam whispered.

"Yes… but I'm afraid of him getting close to all of us again and breaking our hearts."

Sam hummed in agreement.

"We need to have an honest conversation with him about everything."

"Agreed." Fi sat up against the headboard.

Sam sat up, watching her. Fi was watching him. Sam leant over resting his forehead against hers, kissed her.

"You want the shower first?"

Fi nodded, Sam moved away, as he did Fi pecked his cheek before she got up and went to the bathroom. Sam sat on the side of the bed, listening to the sound of the shower and decided to join her. He quietly stripped, getting behind her wrapping an arm around her, she leant back against him as he slipped two fingers inside her, the other hand coming up to cup her breast. She moaned as he slowly pushed out before reaching, stroking himself a couple of times as she turned toward him, kissing him as she took over stroking him. He backed her up against the wall, and batted away her hand as he kissed her neck as he pushed into her, her moaning as he pulled out. Sam kissed her as he entered her with long strokes until she comes around him, and he bites her shoulder as he comes deep inside her. He lets her down, smirking as she gets on her knees cleaning him up. They finish showering and as they get out Fi whispers,

"Imagine the three of us in there doing that."

Sam moans as he's hard on once again as he moves back to the shower, turning it on cold. Meanwhile Michael was already up, checking out the house without no one around. He was surprised how many pictures of his mom, Nate, Sam and Fi together and even Jesse were but none of him. They had moved on without him, he knew that but it was like they tried to erase 7 years of history of the three of them. One of the bedroom doors opened, watching quietly he saw Sam softly open the door to Charlie's room. Sam sat down beside his bed, smiling softly as Charlie slept. He sat there for a moment, before getting up and coming out to the living room, closing Charlie's door quietly. Sam looked up, seeing Michael.

"Hey."

"Hi Sam."

Sam moved over to the kitchen fixing coffee, three cups, but only two with coffee one with tea as Fi came out of the bedroom and sat on the couch Sam brought out Michael and gestured,

"Sit." He said.

Mike sat, as Sam went back to retrieve the other cup coming back and sitting down beside Fi handing her cup of tea. They looked at each other communicating like the three of them had for so long, but now Michael was the outsider because he didn't know what was going on.

"Michael, like you said last night, yes we are together romantically. We are having a baby and we have full custody of Charlie and we've talked about getting married but have made no plans. Sam popped the question 3 months ago." Fi said.

"You're…pregnant?" Mike was shocked, even though Jesse had expected it it still shocked him to have it confirmed.

"About 3 months. I popped the question about a week after we found out." Sam said.

Mike stood pacing, he had that smile on his face that Sam knew meant he was pissed.

"Mikey?"

"Sam… don't start with BS, first you stole my girlfriend you adopted my nephew now this. You have always wanted what I had, now you have it all."

"Well at least I didn't leave… If you hadn't left you would've had all this." Sam said.

"I was protecting you!" He yelled.

Sam stood up, looking pissed. Mike waited for Sam to start yelling back, but he didn't. Instead Sam took a deep breath and calmly said,

"Mikey, there is no need to yell. We do our best not to lose our tempers here. We talk things through like adults. If you are incapable of doing that then you'd better leave."

There was a noise behind him, Mike didn't say anything but looked behind him, as Charlie came running out. He crawled into Sam's lap, Sam leaned back, rubbing his back. Fi had watched Michael's face when Charlie came in, she looked at Sam to find him looking at her.

"Michael, we want it back to the way it was before, the three of us together as one but not as a team as a relationship but not unless you're done with the CIA." Fi said.

"I am out Fi, I'm officially retired, I'm back. I made a promise to myself when I left that I wouldn't come back home until I was done. I knew there was a chance everyone would move on, but not with each other."

Fi and Sam looked at each other,

"What were we supposed to do, sit and pine for you? As far as we knew you were gone for good. We didn't even know why you left. So we tried to do what was best for Charlie. We didn't plan on falling in love and by then you'd been gone for so long we really thought you weren't coming back. With what little you put in your note why would we think you were ever coming back." Sam spoke.
As he finished speaking he looked at Charlie who had stopped fidgeting at last and realized why. Sam got up, taking Charlie who had fallen back asleep back to his room. Mike watched him,

"Never knew how good Sam was with kids."

"Charlie had nightmares for months after your mom…" Her voice trailed off, the painful memory lingering unspoken.

Michael looked at her nodding,

"He would stay with him all night if he wanted or he would sleep with us."

Watching Fi closely, Mike changed the subject gently.

"Just one more question, not in front of him."

Fi looked at him curiously, waiting.

"What about Jesse? He always seemed more your type than Sam. Before, you two would give the other hell endlessly... why?"

Fi sighed, her gaze turning distant as she thought back to those times.

"Jesse's... different. We have a connection, but it has never been as deep as what I have with Sam. With Sam, it's like... he understands me in ways Jesse never did. He understands how much it hurt when you walked away, because you walking away not only hurt me, it hurt him too. He's as much in love with you as I am."

"Am? As in the present, not the past?" Michael asked.

Fi opened her mouth but Sam came back out saying,

"He's out again. Maybe he will sleep later.." As he sat back beside Fi.

He looked between Fi and Michael,

"What did I miss?"

"The why's of why did we get together?" Fi stated.

"I heard Fi's side."

Sam looked at Mike then Fi.

"Well I didn't string her along for five years, I was straight to the point of what I wanted from her unlike some people." Sam looked back at him.

Michael stood coming to sit on the coffee table in front of where Sam and Fi sat. He took one of their hands in each hand squeezing,

"I strung both of you along you.." looking at Sam

"From Barcelona and you.." looking at Fi.

"From Ireland, and I'm sorry about that. I want this to be a new beginning for all of us."

Sam and Fi looked at each other, they grabbed hands looking at Mike.

"Us too." Fi said.

"Now what happens next?" Sam asked, unsure.

"Whatever we want." Fi said.

"As far as jobs, what are the two of you doing now?" Michael asked.

"Same as before, Jesse's still doing private security. We usually have one or two jobs a month. We mostly live off my pension." Sam said.

"My retirement should kick in soon, so we will be okay." Michael said.

Charlie came out of the bedroom, like earlier running straight for Sam. Michael smirked, whispering to Fi

"How did Sam adjust to having a kid?"

"He's a natural.." She looked at him.

"Just like you will be in a few weeks."

"What are we doing today?" Charlie asked.

"Well I thought we would leave mom at home and the men of the house would go do some errands and maybe the park." Sam looked at Michael.

"What kind of errands?" Michael said worried.

"Normal domestic ones, Mike, grocery store, the park, maybe ice cream if someone is good." He pointed at Charlie, and Charlie giggled.

Mike just shook his head, smirked. Sam got up, saying,

"Go get ready and we will head out." Charlie ran back to his room.

"Other than the list on the fridge, is there anything else?" Sam asked Fi.

"Whatever Michael needs, unless you want to be eating cereal and kid TV dinners." Fi said.

Sam grabbed the list, Charlie came back out. He ran into Fi's arm, hugging her.

"Bye mom. Love you."

"Love you too, baby."

Sam came over, leaning down and kissed her.

"Bye honey."

"Bye." She whispered.

Michael stood there, when Sam and Charlie started walking toward the door, Charlie looked back.

"You're not coming?"

"Yea." Michael said, walking past Fi he dipped his head down, kissing her cheek, and followed Sam and Charlie outside.

The day was spent getting groceries, ice cream, and ended at the park with Michael and Sam sitting on a bench watching Charlie play. Michael kept looking over his shoulder, scanning the playground every twenty minutes.

"Mikey quit surveilling every twenty minutes. I don't want to have to start taking him to a new one. This is the safest one in Miami, I know because we checked into it like a hundred times."

"Old habits die hard Sam."

Sam sighed.

"I know."

"So…. How hard was it for the two of you after I took off again? The full truth." Michael looked at him.

Sam looked at him, then back at Charlie.

"Hard. Really hard, we both agreed to put Charlie first. We both were angry at you and missed you, and then well… It happened."

"Falling for each other?"

"Yeah, we had a job and were trying to figure out what to do with Charlie, arguing like we always do and we just looked at each other and our barriers were down and our feelings were so obvious and there was no reason not to act on them so we ended up in bed together and have been sleeping together ever since. The official relationship didn't start until after Charlie's adoption was final."

"I heard him call For mom."

Sam nodded.

"And you?"

"If you're asking me if he calls me dad he hasn't. We think he remembers Nate a little more than Ruth." Sam said, looking over at Charlie playing.

"Do you want him to?" Mike asked.

"Honestly? Haven't given that much thought into it." Sam looked back at Mike.

"Well I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, you're good with him Sam." Mike reached over and squeezed his hand.

"Thanks Mikey."

Sam looked over seeing all the kids backing away from where Charlie and them were playing. He got up and started walking toward Charlie with Michael following, when he saw him on the ground on his side he ran to him. They both got to him, gently rolling him over. He groaned, started to cry.

"What hurts?" Michael asked, not knowing what to do since he was still a stranger to him,

"Everything." Charlie cried.

"Can I pick you up?" Sam asked.

Charlie nodded, reaching out his arms Sam gently picked him up without trying to hurt him. Michael looked over to the other kids, who were just standing there.

"Who did it?!" And started to walk over as Sam yelled,

"Mike it doesn't matter, let's get him to the hospital."

Michael looked back at Sam as he stood there with Charlie in his arms then looked back at the group of kids, then back at Sam and Charlie and started walking toward the car,

"I'll drive."

Once Sam gently put Charlie in and got in beside him, he reached for him so Sam held his hand afraid to cause him pain as Michael drove to the nearest hospital. Sam called Fi,

"Hey you guys heading back? I'll start dinner." Fi said.

"On the way to the nearest hospital near the park, meet us there."

"What happened? Who's hurt?"

"Charlie, some kids rough him up."

"I'll meet you there."

Sam got off the phone, once they got to the hospital the doctors took him back as Mike and Sam sat in the waiting room. Sam put his hands behind his head and his head between his knees. Mike scooted closer rubbing his back, as they waited.
