( Tom was in the kitchen of Hugo and Rita's house waiting for Rita )

Tom: ( Calling ) Hugo oh Hugo.

Hugo: Yes?

Tom: Can I see what you're doing?

Hugo: No you can't.

Tom: ( Annoyed ) Oh you always say that why can't I see what you're doing?

Hugo: It's a surprise is Rita back yet?

Tom: Nope.

Hugo: Well I'm getting back to work.

( Hugo was making a balloon bouquet as a gift for Rita he tied to the last balloon to the bouquet )

Hugo: Oh they are beautiful I think I have enough ( giggles ) Rita loves balloons.

( Suddenly Hugo began floating into the air and began being dragged away in the wind )

Hugo: Huh? Hey what's going on? Help someone help I can't get down help.

( Rita came back into the house where Tom was waiting )

Tom: Rita where were you? You're late.

Rita: Sorry Tom I had to get my tail combed.

Tom: ( Feels Rita's tail ) Ooh it's nice and soft now.

Rita: ( Giggles ) Thanks where's Hugo?

Tom: He's in the back garden and he won't let me see what's he's doing?

Rita: ( Calling ) Hugo ( beat ) Why doesn't he answer?

Tom: He said it was a surprise.

Rita: Let's go see and what it is.

( Tom and Rita went to find Hugo but he wasn't there )

Tom: Hugo where are you?

Rita: Look Tom he left a bag of balloons here and an air pump.

Tom: So that's what the surprise was he was blowing up balloons but where is he?

Rita: I don't know Tom.

Tom: I have a funny feeling something is very wrong.

Rita: Me too let's try to work this out now what do we know?

Tom: Hmm what do we know?

Rita: We know he using the pump to blow up balloons and he was using this string to tie them together.

Tom: Right.

Rita: But where are the balloons and where is Hugo?

Tom: I don't know.

Rita: Hmm aha.

( Rita walked over to the air pump and used it to blow up a balloon )

Tom: Rita what are you doing?

Rita: I think Hugo was holding onto the balloons and the wind took them away I'm going to let go of this balloon and see which way the wind takes it here we go.

( Rita let go of the balloon and it started floating East )

Rita: Come on Tom let's move out.

( Tom and Rita began travelling East to find Hugo who was still being dragged away in the air by the balloons )

Hugo: Oh I'm too high up to let go oh dear.

( Hugo began floating by some birds in a tree which began flying towards him )

Hugo: Uh oh.

( The birds began popping the balloons one by one until there was only one left making Hugo float down to the ground )

Hugo: ( Screams ) Oh this is terrible.

( Hugo had landed safely )

Hugo: Phew back on the ground at last.

( Hugo popped the last balloon but soon realised he was lost )

Hugo: I don't know here I am ( sniffles ) I'm not going to cry I'm just going to sit here and work out what to do ( starts tearing up and cries )

Aw I'm just a big baby it's a good think Rita isn't here to see me oh dear if only she was here ( sobs )

( Meanwhile Tom and Rita were still looking for Hugo )

Tom: I want Hugo where could he be Rita? ( Cries )

Rita: Don't cry Tom we'll find him.

Tom: ( Sniffs ) I'm never going to be mad at Hugo again.

( Back at the place Hugo was )

Hugo: Hmm maybe I should start to walk ( gets up and sits down again crying ) But which way should I go?

( Hugo then noticed he had some string and a spare balloon with him )

Hugo: I could release this balloon into the air and use it as a signal so Rita and Tom would find me I'll do it.

( Hugo blew up the balloon tied the string around it and released into the air meanwhile Tom and Rita were still searching )

Tom: Rita what are we going to do Hugo isn't anywhere.

Rita: Please don't give up Tom ( spots something in the sky ) Wait look.

Tom: It's a balloon.

Rita: I think it's Hugo giving us a signal follow the balloon.

Tom: Yippie.

( Meanwhile Hugo who was still worried was holding onto the balloon to stop it from floating away )

Hugo: Please Tom Rita look up look up oh I'm so tired.

Tom Hugo? Hugo.

( Hugo saw Rita and Tom running towards him )

Hugo: Rita Tom over here I'm over here.

Tom: Oh Hugo are you okay?

Hugo: I'm fine.

Rita: Dear Hugo we've been searching for hours what happened?

Hugo: I was making a balloon bouquet then a gust of wind came along and carried me away.

( A bird flew by and popped the balloon Hugo used as a signal )

Hugo: I drifted for a long time until I was finally able to land.

Tom: Were you scared?

Hugo: Of course not I knew you would come looking for me.

Rita: And you used a balloon to give us a signal to find you?

( Hugo nodded yes at Rita who then gave him a big hug )

Rita: You are a wise little primate.

Hugo: Thank you Rita although to tell you the truth I was scared I thought I would never see you again.

Rita: Oh dear Hugo I would never lose you after all were married now and we always stay together.

Hugo: Yeah.

Tom: I'm so glad we found you Hugo can we go home for dinner now I'm hungry.

Rita: Of course we can Tom.
