After-Action Report: Operation Phoenix

Date: July 19th, 2035
I submit this report with bewilderment. After months of relentless missions against the ADVENT forces, ending in a raid on XCOM HQ, ADVENT slaughtered everyone—even the scientists. Me and the few recruits left alive hunkered down in the Armory, ready to go out swinging. But right as the ADVENT explosives went off breaching the Armory door, I was blinded, and I found myself back at the start of my command, Operation Gatecrasher. It was as if the universe offered a second chance.
Mission Overview:
Despite heavy resistance, we completed the mission without casualties.
The squad performed flawlessly, and I felt a strange sense of déjà vu guiding us. I fear the reason for this live-die-repeat scenario is because of some glaring errors I made in the command of my squad. Hopefully, this next time around, I will serve my people better and look as stunning and badass as Emily Blunt in that movie. I've always wanted to have some epic adventure like this.
