Nurse's Office (Day)

The first thing Midoriya saw upon waking up was the smiling face of Dominic staring down at him. "Wakey wakey, milk some snakey!" the blonde cheerfully greeted.

"AGH! What are you doing here!?" Midoriya asked, shocked to see his classmate.

"Well, after seeing your borderline masochistic performance against Shinso, I thought I'd pay you a visit." Dominic explained. "Now, before I leave, I need to ask you something. What exactly is your Quirk?"

That shut Midoriya up. How could he respond without giving away One For All's secret? Eventually, he found an explanation. "It's called Super Power. I can fill my body parts with energy, which lets me punch with the force of a bomb blast. The only downside is that every time I use it, I break whatever bone I was using. I've gotten better, but, well, you saw my battle."

"Hmm. How have you been controlling it thus far?" Dominic asked, curious.

"Oh, I've been imagining my Quirk as an egg in a microwave." Midoriya said with a smile. "Every time I turn on my Quirk, the egg swells with light before exploding! It's lame, I know. But it works for me."

"Don't worry. I've used far lamer to learn how to master my own skills. Now, while I've never seen anything with powers quite like yours, I have encountered something similar." Dominic assured. "My sister has a Quirk that augments her strength, and because it's passive, she's pretty fierce on the battlefield. I remember one time where she punched a guy through a house." He never did get around to regenerating his Wisdom Teeth after that.

"I don't understand." Midoriya said.

"Sorry 'bout that. I tend to get nostalgic when I talk about people who've kicked my ass." Dominic said, apologetic. "What I'm trying to say is: What if you just never turned your Quirk off?"

"What?" the greenette asked, confused.

"Your problem is that you're filling your limbs with energy and then removing it, and because of the sudden withdrawal, it shatters your bones." the blonde explained. "If you kept Super Power active constantly, your body would gradually adapt to the energy. Eventually, you'll master your Quirk." After that, Dominic left the room.

Midoriya pondered this advice in the absence of the blonde, activating One For All and spreading it across his entire body.

That day, the Ninth Holder came one step closer to surpassing his predecessor. But he was still centuries away from surpassing the one who showed him how.

1A Stadium (Day)

Unsurprisingly, Todoroki beat Sero. Before the Tape-user was able to even move, Todoroki already swallowed his opponent in a giant glacier. The tension in the air was palpable, but maybe that was just the cold air.

The next match was Iida and Hatsume. And much like Dominic predicted, it ended very badly for the former. Iida did end up winning, but only because Hatsume forfeited. If she truly wanted to win, she would've. And while she didn't leave with the win, she did leave with Iida's dignity. After that was Aoyama vs Ashido. Spoiler, the pinkette won without any issue.

Next was Tokoyami against Yaoyorozu. Dominic was actually caught off-guard when the onyx-haired girl lost so badly. He expected someone with the power to make literally anything to be able to outsmart or overpower anyone. The blonde had battled against several people with similar abilities, and their deadliest aspect was their unpredictability. 'If she wants to get better, she'll have to work on thinking on her feet.' the boy thought to himself.

And then came Tetsutetsu vs Kirishima. Dominic may have jinxed himself when he hoped that it wouldn't end like Metapod vs Metapod.

The last battle before his own was Uraraka vs Bakugo. His classmates may have thought that Bakugo was being cruel during the fight, but Dominic respected the way he battled. As a matter of fact, he saw a bit of himself in the Explosion-user. The same ego, the same amount of sheer defiance, and even the same Element. If things went the way he wanted them to go, he'd end up facing Bakugo later in the tournament.

After the explosive battle, the match between Xiao-Long vs Kaminari was set to begin. With a manic grin, Dominic walked out onto the pitch, his Aura blazing far hotter than any lightning in this world.

"First on the pitch is the master of the prelims, the boy who scored higher than everyone else in the Entrance Exam, Xiao-Long Dominic!" Present Mic announced as the blonde waved to the audience. "Against him is the electrifying Kaminari Denki! Is anyone else excited for this heated battle? I know I am!"

"Out of courtesy, I'll allow you the first move." Dominic said, smiling.

"Heh, don't think that'll save you!" Kaminari proclaimed. "Indiscriminate Shock! 1.3 Million Volts!" From his body, an incredible amount of electricity surged across the battlefield, completely engulfing Dominic and singing his clothes.

"Oh no! What an absolutely debilitating attack!" Dominic screamed as lightning struck every part of his body. "Oh wait, that's not how this game works. Yarararara!" With that, he threw off the facade and fell onto the ground, laughing uncontrollably until the lightning dispersed. "See, my body is made of volcanic rock, so it's insulated." he said as he stood up. "Now then, let's finish this battle with a bang!"

And with that, Kaminari was launched far out of bounds, instantly giving Dominic the win.

Insulation

Objects with certain chemical makeups can resist the effects of being electrocuted. Rubber and stone are two examples of electric insulators.

AN: So, am I to believe that nobody likes this story? Because that's the impression I'm getting from the recent reviews.
