Adam wakes up as a fallen angel, a demon in hell. Thinking that hell is forever and there is no way for him to return to heaven, he just wants to drown in resentment and isolate himself from everyone. Of course, there is no way Charlie is going to let that happen any time soon, even when there is a great enemy ready to strike soon.
