The rest of the meeting between Andromeda and Amadeus didn't last long when Albus finally decided to step in. He managed to cow the idiot Ministry official by pointing out the many testimonies that proved his son's guilt and said that if the matter was pushed any more, he will just pass it along to the DMLE. Thrung left soon after that. Andromeda also left soon after, only stopping to have a brief conversation with Tonks.

With that group out of the way the Longbottom-Malfoy group went up to discuss their grievances. Augusta wanted the school brooms replaced for causing a student (her grandson) harm and Danica expelled for the destruction of a Longbottom heirloom. Lucius was trying to stop both of those things, citing that the school simply did not have the budget to purchase the fifty brooms necessary to replace the current stock, and proclaiming that expulsion was too harsh a punishment. Eventually, it was settled that Malfoy would pay for the new brooms, and not some cheap ones like the previous ones were either, while Danica would serve detentions with McGonagall for the next two months. Neither side was particularly happy but considering that Augusta managed to get Lucius to spend a stupid amount on the school she probably took it as her win. Both left soon after, with Augusta flooing home and Lucius staying behind to have 'words' with his daughter.

That then left just me, Rose, the Potters, Snape, and Dumbledore. Snape though was dismissed, which I was disappointed with as I was hoping that him seeing me tear the Potters a new one would make the man's hate for my existence lessen. When we were finally alone, the headmaster dropped the aura of power that he had going on for the last two meetings, before looking at James and Lily.

"I must apologize for the inconvenience, I was originally just supposed to meet with Madame Tonks and Mister Thrush, but then news of Rose's recovery happened, and you arrived sooner than I expected. Then Lucius and Augusta both arrived as representatives of the school governors and demanded a meeting. But now that that is out of the way, we can finally have this discussion."

A wave of his wand and sealing the room we were using, both to give us privacy and to block any divination magic that was being used to spy on the room.

"First, I believe an explanation is in order. From what I have gathered, the seal that we placed on Rose three years ago to allow her a normal life had an unintended consequence. Instead of stopping the corrupted magic within Rose, we merely managed to block it inside her, allowing it to build up. This coupled with something at the school agitating the soul shard, led to an increase in the corrupted magic within her. As you know, when Rose first informed me of this, I asked your permission on the matter of telling her the truth, in hopes that knowing would allow her to be able to better fight and resist it, which you both agreed to."

Giving a nod, both parents were looking worriedly at Rose, probably unaware of the exact problems facing her, just that Dumbledore thought it best to inform her early.

"That, it seems, was a mistake as the previously dormant soul shard had gained some semblance of awareness and had taken the knowledge that it was known as a threat to itself. Over the course of the next few hours the Soul Shard attacked Rose's soul directly. I fear that, had Harry not seen something wrong with Rose, and brought her away from her peers, I am afraid of what the consequences could have been, for it seems that Harry's presence acts as a sort of suppressant for the soul shard, allowing Rose to hold on. Harry had the foresight to inform me what the situation was and when he had managed to help calm her down fully, we took her to the Hospital Wing where she went into a coma in an effort to preserve her strength against the soul shard. Over the next three days Mister Potter never left her side, taking the opportunity to learn under Madame Pomfrey. Then, yesterday morning Rose awoke and was somehow able to fight off the soul shard and repel it from herself completely."

By the time he was finished James had taken to hugging his daughter while Lily was freely crying, the near loss of their daughter hitting them hard. Rose just seemed resigned to being fussed over. Then, however, Lily seemed to freeze, a look of realization crossing her face. Then came sheer, unbridled rage.

"Dumbledore, you told us it was safer for the two of them to keep them separated, correct?"

She did not raise her voice, just keeping a deathly calm tone as she addressed the headmaster. It seems that he was aware of where this was going as he only gave a slow, defeated nod.

"And yet, that was not the case now was it. In just three days of constantly being with each other the problem that we spent the last FIFTEEN YEARS trying to solve just righted itself! For fifteen years Dumbledore, I had let my daughter suffer, for fifteen years my son was separated from me, for fifteen years my family has been broken because we trusted that you knew what you were doing. And now my daughter was almost killed and had to be saved by a brother she barely knows, who hates us for abandoning him. All. Because. Of. You!"

And Mount Lily erupted, laying waste to what was left of Dumbledore's will. I was honestly feeling bad for the old man as despite what they thought he was probably in the right keeping us separated, it was just my Company brand bullshit that saved her.

Dumbledore was looking like all he felt was his past sins confronting him simultaneously, looking like a stiff breeze would be enough to do him in. James was holding back an enraged Lily who for her part looked to be trying to strangle the headmaster with his own beard. Deciding that I was not needed at the moment, and to get out before the Potters turned their attention to me, I grabbed Rose's hand and led her out the room while they were distracted, deciding that it would be best to lay low for a few hours until they leave. Luckily, I knew a special place that would grant us some privacy.

During that first week exploring I had a special objective of finding useful places beforehand, places such as Moaning Myrtle's bathroom and the painting of the dancing trolls. I managed to find them, as well as a few other hidden places during my exploration. Even then, it took nearly half an hour to make it to the Room, mainly because the direct way was blocked by an invisible wall that only appeared on the weekends, the secondary path inaccessible due to it becoming an endless repeating hall at even hours, and the third path was being guarded by a pair of stone statues that would demand a duel to be allowed passage. So, after much backtracking, strange encounters, and interesting conversations with the portraits, we finally managed to make it to our destination. After making sure that we were alone in the immediate area, I decided to show my curious sister one of the best places in the castle. Three quick back and forth paces in front of the blank wall while thinking of a desired location, an ornate door appeared. My sister didn't seem impressed yet, considering the craziness and weird habits of the castle, and I couldn't wait for her surprise.
