Derek returned to his home and immediately began work on his fan-fiction. His parents were on vacation in Morveningtongonerstan, which is a very, very real country. Derek was alone and finishing his fanfic in peace. After two hours of writing, he was done. He was quite proud of what he had written. It was 9:48 PM and he was going to sleep. While he was sleeping something strange began happening. His personal computer, which he used to write fan-fiction began to shake. Derek did not notice this because he was asleep. The computer opened up by itself and a large green portal opened up. Derek was sucked into the portal. After he went through it, he fell onto a bench in the middle of New York City. Derek woke up as soon as he hit the bench. Surprisingly, he was not injured. He was confused and wandered the streets of New York. Derek was incredibly confused as to why he was suddenly in New York City. He decided to go to the Central Park Zoo because it reminded him of the Madagascar movies. He arrived at the zoo and heard a strange sound. It sounded like an inter-dimensional portal opening and closing over and over again. He ran to where the sound was coming from and the truth of what was happening hit him. He had been transported into his own fanfic.
