Gunner, a 14-year-old boy, couldn't help but notice the new kid, Noah, on the first day of school. As he walked through the crowded hallways, his eyes kept drifting towards Noah, who seemed a bit lost but intrigued by his new surroundings.

Gunner felt a mix of curiosity and excitement. "Maybe I should go introduce myself," he thought, feeling a flutter of nerves in his stomach.

Gunner watched as Alex, the popular girl, got to Noah first. "Damn it," he thought, feeling a pang of jealousy as he saw Alex flirting with Noah. He didn't know why, but seeing them together made his stomach churn.

Gunner couldn't help but notice Noah's soft black hair as he watched Alex play with it. His bright blue eyes seemed to sparkle with interest, making Gunner's jealousy grow even more. "Why does she always get to them first?" he wondered, feeling a mix of frustration and longing.

In math class, Gunner and Noah found themselves sitting at the same table. Gunner's heart raced a little as he tried to focus on the lesson, but he couldn't help sneaking glances at Noah. This was his chance to get to know him better, and he wasn't going to let it slip away.

"Hi, I'm Gunner," he said, trying to sound casual.

"Oh, hi, I'm Noah," came the response, accompanied by a friendly smile. Gunner felt a little more at ease, thinking that maybe this could be the start of something good.

"So, Noah, where are you from?" Gunner asked, trying to keep the conversation going.

Noah looked up, his bright blue eyes meeting Gunner's. "I'm from Seattle," he replied. "What about you?"

"Oh, I'm from Texas," Gunner said. "So, Noah, you like it in Florida?"

"So far, yeah," Noah replied. "I've been enjoying it here."

"That's awesome," Gunner said with a smile. "I'm glad you're settling in."

Gunner raised an eyebrow, noticing Noah's curious gaze as he looked him up and down.

Gunner tried to keep his eyes off Noah, but it was harder than he expected.
