Standard Episode 5 : A dark reflection
Hey guys, it's been a long time since I did the last chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V Dimension Wars, I'm gonna set it right by doing the fifth chapter to which many remembered that it was the chapter where Yugo defeated Yuto.

"Man, what the hell is going on around here?"
Hence was the question that Yuya said to himself as his two counterparts, Yuto and Yugo prepare themselves for their eventual duel.
"We may have been interrupted the last time you bastard but this time, I'm gonna wipe the floor with you" declared the blond boy as he activate his duel disk that is found into his duel runner, he put on his helmet while Yuto activate his own duel disk.
Yuto vs Yugo
"All right, I'm gonna strike first and hard!" launched out Yugo as he revved up his engine and he speeds up to Yuto as he dodged the bike.
"WOW, what the heck?" said Yuya as he was shocked that the blond boy had tried to run over the dark duelist.
"Since I don't have a monster on my field, I can special summon Speedroid Terrortop from my hand in Attack Position" said Yugo as he summoned a some sort of centipede consiting of several speeding tops (A:1200/D:600).
"Wait, his bike, it is his duel disk ?" wondered Yuya as he noticed that he put his cards on his duel runner rather than on his duel disk.
"Then, I summon the Level 3 Tuner, Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice in Attack mode!" said Yugo as he summoned a pyramidal dice with eyes on the structure (A:300/D:1500).
"A Tuner?" wondered Yuya as he wasn't really aware of that summoning method.
"Now, time to blast that show on the road because I'm tuning my Level 3 Terrortop with my Level 3 tuner" replied the young boy as his two monsters fused together "Magical sword with the form of a cross, use your power to rend all ennemies! I Synchro Summon! Hi-Speedroid Kendama!"
A sort of samurai riding a dark-blue vehicule appeared on the field (A:2200/D:1600).
"Now, this big boy has the ability to inflict 500 points of damage if I remove a Speedroid monster from my graveyard and I'll remove Terrortop" said Yugo as he removed Terrortop to which Kendama begins to light up and it let up a beam that tried to hit Yuto but the dark duelist dodged at the last second though he still receive damage (Yuto:3500) "that will be enough as I put a card facedown, I'll defeat you asshole, mark my words".
"Your words are as empty as your hubris" said Yuto as he drew a card from his deck "I summon Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves in Attack Position"
A monster possessing powerful gloves and a red-fired body appeared on the field (A:1000/D:500).
"Then, since I have a Level 3 Phantom Knights on my field, I can special summon Phantom Knights of Silent Boots!" said the dark duelist as he summoned his monster on the field (A:200/D:1200).
"Yuto is going to summon a XYZ monster!" realized the tomato-haired boy.
"Prepare yourself Pawn of Fusion!" replied Yuto but Yugo, irritated that the dark duelist mispronouced his name decide to correct him.
"IT'S NOT PAWN OF FUSION, IT'S YUGO!"
"Whatever, in any case, you will meet your maker, I overlay my two monsters!" said Yuto as his two monsters transformed themselves into particles and they fled into the skies in order to transform "Souls of knights who fell on the battlefield, revive here and now, and become the light that beats the darkness and XYZ summon the Phantom Knights of Break Sword, rise my great beast!"
The ghostly monster appeared on the field (A:2000/D:1000).
"Keh, your monster won't gonna do anything against Kendama!" mocked Yugo.
"It is because you've seen nothing yet, since I used Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves as a XYZ material, I can use his special effect to increase Break Sword Attack points of 1000" explained Yuto as the spirit of Ragged Gloves entered through Break Sword giving him a power boost (A:2000-3000).
"Damn!" cursed Yugo as he tried to make a run with his monster.
"No, you don't, Break Sword, use your katana to make mincemeat out of this Kendama!" ordered the dark duelist as Break Sword begin to rush towards Kendama to which it eventually managed to catched it and it cut it in half, destroying it and reducing Yugo's life points (Yugo:3200).
"You half-assed moron! I'm gonna make you pay for it!" swored the blond duelist.
"We shall see, I put a card facedown and I end my turn" replied Yuto as his Break Sword Attack points lowered back to their original values (A:3000-2000).
"It's payback time!" said Yugo as he revved his engine once more and he started to drive, even passing through the dark duelist "I activate my Spell card: Speed Recovery".
A card with a picture of a machine speeding down is shown.
"When I activate this card, I can bring one of my Speedroid monsters from the graveyard but at the cost of not being able to Normal Summon this turn, I don't really care because I will have all the firepower that I need, I summon back Kendama!" replied Yugo as the mechanical monster reappeared on the field "All right, Kendama, ram through his life points by attacking Break Sword!"
Kendama charged and it tries to overrun Break Sword but Yuto wasn't really the guy who will let that happen.
"I counter this attack with this: Phantom Knights Sword!" the dark duelist said as he activate a trap card showing a sword that installed itself on the tip of Break Sword's weapon "with this, Break Sword gain an amount of 800 Attack points".
The Attack points of Break Sword rose to 2800 making it the strongest monster on the field (A:2000-2800).
"Yuto managed to reverse the tide of the duel!" noticed Yuya.
"Do not underestimate me, you bastard, I activate my Trap card: Speed Turn" declared Yugo as a image of a boomerang appeared "with this, I can switch your monster in Defense Position and I can lower his Defense points by 500".
Kendama speeds up towards Break Sword who lowered down as he finished up in Defense Mode (D:1000-500).
"I won't let you destroy Break Sword, I activate the other effect of Phantom Knight's Sword, I can send it to the graveyard so that I can prevent Break Sword destruction!" said Yuto as he removed Phantom Knight's Sword in order to allow his monster to survive the attack, however...
"You may save it but your life points will be a different story, Kendama effect allows me to inflict piercing damage to your life points, eat this!" said the blond boy as Kendama crashed towards Yuto, sending him flying across the place (Yuto:1800).
"YUTO!" yelled Yuya as he tried to reach him but the dark duelist rose his hand, preventing Yuya of moving forward.
"Stay there Yuya!"
"What?" asked the tomato-haired boy.
"I've told you to step aside, that pawn of fusion would be willing to hurt you if you are on the cross of fire so stand aside" said Yuto as he gets up from his position.
"GODAMMIT! WHEN WILL YOU FINALLY LEARN, IT'S YUGO! Y-U-G-O!" yelled the blond boy.
"Shut up, I will make sure that you won't forget your defeat" growled Yuto.
"Oh yeah? You asshole took the girl I cared about the most so I won't let you walk past me!" said Yugo as he placed a facedown card on the field.
"The girl he cared about?" wondered Yuya, he believed that the duel is getting nowhere, who was that girl that the blond boy was talking about?
"All that you are saying are lies, you are the one who took who was precious to ours, now, I shall avenge my comrades, I DRAW!" yelled Yuto as he drew a new card "I switch Break Sword back to Attack Mode and then I summon Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak in Attack mode!"
The ghostlike monster appeared on the field (A:800/D:1000).
"And now, I'll activate its effect, if Ancient Cloak is on the field, I can switch his position to which it will allow a Phantom Knight monster to have his Attack points increased of 800 until the end of the turn and I choose Break sword!" declared the dark duelist as Break Sword's weapon glow purple as his attack points increased (A:2000-2800) "it's over Pawn of Fusion, Break Sword, cut through Kendama now!"
Break Sword prepare to rush towards Kendama in order to attack it but Yugo prepare to reach for his touch screen in order to activate Tri-Eyed Dice effect to which it would allowed it to be banished from the graveyard so that he could prevent the damage but...
"No, I've got a better idea on my hands!" thought the blond boy as he allowed Break Sword to cut through Kendama (Yugo:2600).
"Looks like that the sword was more mightier than the Kendama, it's your move!" said Yuto as he placed a card facedown, Yugo looked at his rival and he flashed a smile at him.
"Gotta say, you're pretty good but I willingly sacrificed Kendama because I have a better way to inflitct you damage!" mused the blond boy as he drew another card.
Meanwhile, two figures moved towards Central Park and they are noticing that a duel is taking place, it was Zuzu, who was been warned by Gong that Sora might be in danger and the afromentionned giant.
"Where is Sora? Yuya and Gong believed that he should be in here" wondered Gong but the pink-haired girl noticed Yuto who was standing on the field.
"It's him, he is the one who dueled that Sawatari loser!" gasped Zuzu.
"What?" said Gong as he took a closer look and indeed, as Yuya told him, the man had the same face as his friend "impossible, so that duelist does exist?"
"Yeah" replied the pink-haired girl before she noticed Yugo and she was shocked that he, too, looked like Yuya "huh?".
"W-What? What is it Zuzu?" asked Gong before Zuzu took her phone, activate the photo mode, zoomed on the image and she took a picture of the riding duelist, she looked at the picture and she has her proof: Yugo had the same face than Yuya, Gong looked over her shoulder and he paled upon seeing the picture "WHAT? Inconcivable, how come that he has the same face as Yuya?"
"I don't know, I-I-I don't know Gong!" thought Zuzu as she was completely lost by the ordeal before she noticed that Yuya was on the field "Yuya!"
"Yuya?" thought Gong before the pink-haired girl shows the tomato-haired boy "Yuya is there? Good grief! He might need our help!"
Meanwhile, on the duel field, Yugo is about to start his turn.
"I summon Speedroid Double Yoyo in Attack Mode" said the blond boy as he summoned a monster that ressembled a car but with two large yoyos filled with sharp blades (A:1400/D:1400) "when Double Yoyo has been summoned through a normal summoning, I can special summon a Speedroid monster that has been sent to the graveyard and I chose Tri-Eyed Dice".
The pyramidal dice appeared on the field (A:300/D:1500), Yugo then heard a small roar through his extra deck to which he smiled as he recognized who that roar belonged to.
"Don't worry buddy, you will get your chance fighting that bastard who took Rin from us" reassured Yugo before he resumed his turn "all right, I tune Level 4 Double Yoyo with the Level 3 Tri-Eyed Dice!"
The two monster became a pair of white lights as they joined the skies for a union.
"Beat your wings to whip up a whirlwind of destruction! I Synchro Summon! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" introduced the blond boy as a neon majestic dragon appeared on the field (A:2500/D:2000), its apparence shocked Yuya along with Zuzu and Gong who weren't expecting another dragon.
"Crap, Yugo has a dragon too, this is getting dangerous!" worried Yuya as he recalled how dangerous Yuto's dragon was.
"All right buddy, show him what we are worth, Clear Wing, launch your Spin Storm Sky Strike on Break Sword" ordered the blond boy as the dragon charged towards Break Sword, spinning around while it's wings glow with electricity, it passed through him and it destroyed it, causing a powerful explosion that knocked Yuto on the ground (Yuto:1300).
"What? The attack seems to be far more real than a normal duel!" shouted the large man as he and Zuzu watched the duel from the distance.
"Yuto!" said Yuya as he tried to approach the dark duelist but Yuto painfully gets up.
"Stay away!" said Yuto as he didn't want to bring Yuya into the crossfire, he then turned his gaze at Yugo "thanks to Break Sword ability, I can revive the two XYZ materials that were used into the field, I summon Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves and Phantom Knights of Silents Boots!"
The two monsters that served as XYZ Materials reappeared on the field.
"Huh, seems that these guys came back just I can crush them with my Spell card: Shock Surprise!" said Yugo as he activated a card that shows a monster being electrocuted "if I remove a Speedroid from my graveyard, I can destroy one of your monsters that is on the field, I choose Ancient Cloak!"
Yugo removed Double Yoyo from his graveyard and a powerful blast launched through the card and it hit Ancient Cloak, destroying it.
"I'll end the massacre for now, now, you will show me your dragon, if Clear Wing brought me here just like it brought me in Heartland, it is because you are the bastard who took that person away from me" launched the blond boy to which two words of his sentence surprised the pink-haired girl who listened to the conversation.
"Heartland? And who is that person that this guy has taken?"
"You want to see Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon? YOU'LL GOT IT!" said Yuto as he drew a card and, wasting no time, he decide to launch the XYZ summoning "I overlay my level 4 Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves and Phantom Knights of Silents Boots!"
The two monsters joined with each other in order to summon another XYZ monster.
"Fangs formed from pitch-black darkness, to fight the foolish oppression! Descend now! XYZ summon! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon!" chanted Yuto as his legendary dragon appeared on the field roaring at Clear Wing Synchro Dragon who roared it back.
"Oh my god! That's it! The monster who has injured that pesky Sylvio!" cried out Zuzu as she recognized the monster.
"Then, let's not waste any time, we need to save Yuy..." was about to say Gong until suddenly, the pink-haired girl bracelet begins to glow, much to her surprise.
"What the?"
On the duel field, Yuya once again felt his chest having a burning sensation to which it caused the tomato-haired boy to clench his chest.
"What's going on? My chest is like it's getting on fire!" thought Yuya as he watched Yugo and Yuto, the blond boy had his eyes closed while he gritted his teeth while the dark duelist was stumbling, his eyes closed as well "Yuto?"
Suddenly, Yuto put his hands on his head, yelling in pain like if he received a large amount of electricity through his body, he eventually falls on his knees, trying to regain his balance until suddenly, he opened his eyes and much to the tomato-haired boy horror, his eyes was glowing blue and his lips showed him an extreme amount of hate.
"I'LL KILL YOU AND THEN, WE SHALL BECOME ONE!" yelled Yuto like if he was possesed by a demon, Yugo eventually opened his eyes to which it reveals that they were also glowing but with a aqua light.
"WE WILL REGAIN OUR TRUE PERSONALITY THROUGH THE HEAT OF THE DUEL!" raged out Yugo.
"W-what is going on? Yuto!" tried to convince Yuya but the dark duelist was ready to launch his turn.
"I ACTIVATE THE EFFECT OF DARK REBELLION! BY USING ONE OF MY XYZ MATERIALS, I CAN HALVE THE ATTACK POINTS OF A MONSTER AND I'LL DO JUST THAT BY HALVING THE ATTACK POINTS OF CLEAR WING SYNCHRO DRAGON!" yelled Yuto as his monster absorded one of his XYZ materials and it launched a electrical attack at Clear Wing.
However...
"GUESS AGAIN, WHEN CLEAR WING IS TARGETED BY A MONSTER EFFECT, HE CANCELED THE EFFECT AND IT CAN DESTROY YOUR MONSTER SO THAT CLEAR WING COULD REGAIN HIS ATTACK POINTS UNTIL THE END OF THE TURN!" yelled out the blond boy as Clear Wing launched out a glowing attack from its wings, however, Yuto had a backup plan.
"I ACTIVATE PHANTOM KNIGHTS WINGS!" launched out the dark duelist as a trap card showing a monster with violet glowing wings "WHEN A MONSTER THAT I CONTROL IS TARGETED BY A EFFECT, I CAN NEGATE THAT EFFECT AND DARK REBELLION GAINS ATTACK POINTS!"
A barrier appeared around Dark Rebellion, protecting it and increasing his Attack points (A:2500-3000).
"THIS IS THE END FOR YOU AND THIS DIMENSION, PREPARE TO DIE, DARK..." was about to say Yuto until the glow of Zuzu bracelet intensified itself engulfing Yuya and Yuto within it's radius, shocking the tomato-haired boy who covered his eyes as he was engulfed into it, when he opened them back, he looked at the sourceof the light and he discovered Zuzu and Gong standing on the hill.
"Zuzu? What are you doing here?" asked Yuya.
"Gong told me that this man was attacking Sora so we came in there in order to help him, where is he?" asked Zuzu but the tomato-haired boy sadly shook his head.
"I'm sorry but...Sora is no longer here, he has been taken away" said Yuya to which his sentence caused the young girl to be shocked.
"WHAT? What happened? Did he hurt him?" asked the pink-haired girl as she points out Yuto but the fact she was pointing at him reminded Yuya of what just happened, Yuto was getting berserk and, now that he thinks of it, the burning feeling that he had on his chest was gone, vanished without a trace.
"Yuto!" thought Yuya as he went towards the dark duelist in order to check on him, Yuto shook his head a bit and he finally opened his eyes, the glow having dissapeared from them.
"What, what is ?" wondered Yuto.
"Yuto, you came back to your senses!" cheered the tomato-haired boy.
"Yuya, can you please explain to us what is going on here?" interjected Gong as he didn't understand what is going on.
"Well, you see, it's complicated, I thought that Yuto was the enemy but aside of what he has done to Sylvio, he's..." was about to say Yuya but...
"SO, GIVING UP YET? I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!"
The four turned their heads to the source of the voice to which it's revealed to be Yugo as he is still possessed his glowing eyes.
"You see guys, when you came in here, Yuto and this guy were acting like maniacs, like if they were different persons" said Yuya to which Zuzu once again looked at the blond boy and she gasped after she looked at his face.
"So it was true, he do looked like you Yuya!"
"Quite frankly, I don't even know what is going on here!" remarked the tomato-haired boy "but looks like that this guy hasn't returned to his normal state, besides Zuzu, how did you do that light?"
"I-I don't know, it came out from my bracelet, it never done something like that before!" replied the pink-haired girl as she watched her bracelet.
"SO, ARE YOU GIVING UP OR WHAT? I'M TIRED OF WAITING!" asked Yugo to which Yuto, unsure of what happened, decides to end his turn.
"I end my turn!"
"THEN, YOU'VE SIGNED YOUR DEATH WARRANT!" raged Yugo as he drew a card "I SUMMON SPEEDROID RAZORANG!"
A monster ressembling a razored boomerang appeared on the field (A:2000/D:0)
"Wait!" Yuya said as he barged in front of Yuto in order to prevent his opponent of attacking "stop this! You are in no condition to duel!"
"I ACTIVATE THE EFFECT OF RAZORANG, I CAN SWITCH IT IN DEFENSE POSITION AND IT CAN DIMINISH THE ATTACK POINTS OF DARK REBELLION!" said Yugo as Razorang spins around in order to weaken the XYZ monster, however, the blond boy was far from finished "THIS ALLOW ME TO ACTIVATE THE EFFECT OF CLEAR WING, SINCE YOUR MONSTER IS BEING TARGETED BY A MONSTER EFFECT, I CAN NEGATE THAT EFFECT SO THAT CLEAR WING COULD DESTROY THAT MONSTER AND CLAIM HIS ATTACK POINTS AS A BONUS!"
"But wait, he is targeting his own monster? What is he doing this?" wondered the giant as he didn't understand what is the purpose of that move but this caused Zuzu to gasp as she realized, when she scanned Dark Rebellion attack points (A:2500/D:2000), that it will allow the Synchro monster to destroy Dark Rebellion.
"This will allow that monster to have enough Attack points to destroy Dark Rebellion!"
"THIS IS THE END, WE SHALL BECOME ONE AGAIN! CLEAR WING!" Yugo ordered as Razorang dissapeared and his aura joined with Clear Wing (A:2500-4500) "SPIN STORM SKY STRIKE!"
Clear Wing let out a powerful roar and rushed towards Dark Rebellion who tries to fight it but he is easily destroyed, however, the Synchro is not stopping and it rush all the way to Yuya.
"YUYA!" shrieked Zuzu as she was horrified that the tomato-haired boy could be hurt by the attack, Yuya was shocked that he was standing in front of the Synchro monster.
When suddenly, Yuto pushed him out of the way and received the attack point-blank, knocking him out and throwing him into the air (Yuto:0)
"OH MY GOD!" shrieked the pink-haired girl as she was horrified about the end of the duel.
"U-unconveiable, it's like that he was hit by a ramming truck!" added Gong as the dark duelist felled on the ground hard.
Suddenly, Zuzu's bracelet glowed once more much to her surprise.
"What's wrong with this thing?" said Zuzu before the light became stronger, envelopping the area all around them.
Within the mist of the pink light, Yuya gets up from the position that he felled when Yuto pushed him out of the way, the tomato-haired looked all around from him and he discover the dark duelist on the ground, unable to move or getting up.
"YUTO!" shouted Yuya as he went to Yuto's side, he took the dark duelist on his arms.
"Y-yuya, you are right, duels weren't meant for conflict, they were meant to bring smiles to the people, w-w-we needed them to regain their smiles by ending this conflict" painfully said Yuto before he took Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon from his duel disk "keep Dark Rebellion safe, I-I-I don't need it anymore, i-i-it seems".
"Yuto!" said Yuya as he realized that Yuto was not injured, instead, he was dying from his duel.
"The fate of the dimensions is on your hands, finish what I started b-b-but with the power of smiles" said Yuto as he noticed that the locker that he kept from his neck fell out and hit the ground, opening itself to reveal the picture of him and Lulu embracing themselves, seeing the image caused him to be saddened as a single tear started to fell out from his right eye "I'm so sorry Lulu, I-I-I didn't managed to save you"
Eventually, Yuto closed his eyes and his hand let go of Yuya as his card finished up on the tomato-haired boy's hand.
Yuto was dead.
Suddenly, the dark duelist begins to glow in blue much to Yuya's shock as the light glowed, dissvolving the light that was caused by Zuzu's bracelet.
On the other hand, the pink-haired girl noticed that her bracelet has stopped glowing and she and Gong opened their eyes, they noticed that Yugo was no longer there.
"That man, Gong can no longer see him, was it all a dream?" wondered the giant.
"I don't think so" thought Zuzu until she sees Yuya who was standing on his knees, looking at the distance, Yuto was no longer with him and he seemed to be shocked "Yuya?"
Suddenly, Yuya fell on the ground, much to the two's horror as they went in order to check on the tomato-haired boy.
"YUYA! Yuya, what is going on? Yuya, please, answer!" desperately asked Zuzu as she was shaking him but nothing came out, Yuya was entirely unconcious.
? - Fusion Dimension
"Let me go! Let me go, dammit, I was about to capture that XYZ duelist, my mission is not yet finished, LET ME GO!"
That was the yelling that Sora was doing as the scientists were examining him in order to see if he was alright, something that bothered him as he wanted to complete his mission to exterminate the remnants of the XYZ dimension.
But little did he know that a girl, sporting a indigo-haired ponytail that was tied with a yellow ribbon, was listening to his rambling and it seemed that his tantrum has brought something to her that made her happy as she smiled upon hearing that he was chasing a XYZ duelist.
"This time, the Professor will see my true potential".
And done, sorry for the wait as I said, I am a slow writer but remember that once I started a fiction, I will always try to finish it, even it will take me a long period of time.
As you can see, Yuto's defeat and Sora's return will bring another character into the myth.
And starting from the next chapter, certains elements of ARC-V will be played out differently so I hope that I can bring some enjoyement without worrying you about its contents.
