Hello everyone! How have you guys been? I hope you are all doing well! First off, I apologize for taking so long to update, I was working on this but I got a teensy bit busy and carried away lmao... and the fact that this isn't the episode yet doesn't help either lol. But that aside, I'm going to tackle what I have in store for the story starting with...

FORMAT & EPISODES

I would like to share with you guys what the story would look like because I decided that I won't be following the normal episode format. My reasoning for this is because NHM is not really an ordinary Total Drama season for one thing: not all episodes are gonna have something a typical Total Drama episode would have (one reason I decided to not have Chris host because more freedom lol). We're still sticking to the essence of Total Drama so I'm not actually going to go so far away from the main thing: there'll still be eliminations, a winner, loser, etc., but we're just gonna have to do it the Dawn way! (not talking about our moonchild queen lol) You'll see once we actually get into the swing of things lol.

And with that, I present to you: le format!

EPISODE 1: VOID

1.1. The Void
1.2. A Void City
1.3. Void and Nullify

EPISODE 2: CASE

2.1. Legal Cases
2.2. Case of the Secret Garden
2.3. I Rest My Case

EPISODE 3: NATURE

3.1. Nature's Spring
3.2. Mother Nature and Me
3.3. The Nature of the Forsaken

EPISODE 4: DESOLATE

4.1. A Desolated Life
4.2. No Desire To Be Desolated
4.3. Desolation's Beauty

EPISODE 5: BURN

5.1. An Unfathomable Burn
5.2. Burning Wish
5.3. Scars to Burn

EPISODE 6 (FINAL): MERCY

6.1. No Mercy
6.2. A Merciless End

The word count and length per chapter would be around 5-7k words. I know it's not a lot but I honestly prefer to keep things just right: not too short and not too long. Though very big chapters can reach up to 10k but I am probably not going to go pass that.

So judging by the titles alone, the story is going to be quite dark (at least we have some people in the cast that can balance that out :P). This is not completely final though as I could add or take away a few chapters here and there but either way I have already have some of the plot set, which leads to our next topic:

RATING & WARNING

I decided that I'm going to boost this rating to M. This is because I am going to try and experiment around with more mature themes so I'm putting this as some sort of warning, which is why I have the entire cast be above 18 lol. Some mature themes that I might tweak around include some strong use of language, violence, death, mild sexual themes, and substance abuse so do prepare yourselves! Though I have backup plans in case you guys won't be comfortable so please let me know in the reviews!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some characters are involved with some of the mature themes listed above. I will PM those who own these characters for their consent. However, I do have a literal archive of backup plans and alternatives ready and even I am ready myself to change anything depending on the feedback so no need to fret! :) I will try to get those PMs out as soon as I have the plot written so when I get the needed signals, I can change things around as early as possible.

So when will these take place? We'll tackle that next:

SCHEDULE

My goal is to publish one chapter per week. With that being said, the entirety of Episode 1: Void is already finished but not revised yet. I just want to wait until I get more progress done before I post it. I would wait until the entire story is written before I would post but... I'm an impatient person myself. TT I would say, I would probably start posting weekly once I get done up to the entirety of episode 3.

Also... remember last time I said I would PM you guys about some character info I might need? Well... forget about that lol. I kinda changed some stuff so I don't think that much info would be needed... yet.

So that covers pretty much everything! I am going to break a few rules with this and not take this update down (despite not having any story content, rip) because I need all readers of this to be aware of what they should be expecting from this story and me as the author. Maybe you can just consider this as a table of contents of some sort, haha.

With that, please let me know what you think about my plans for this story! I want to hear your feedback because this can help me decide what's best for what and in general, not become a disappointment lol. I've seen some stories go down in the past and I believe listening to feedback and criticism is one way we can overcome this challenge!
