Roselyn knocked gently on her brother's apartment door before opening it. She smiled as she saw the couple cuddled up on the couch. Curious she looked in his room to discover why they weren't on the bed, 'Chibi-Usa.'
Roselyn approached the bed to adjust the blankets and gasped as she saw the crystal and key that adorned the child's neck. She quickly finished tucking the blankets around the sleeping child before retreating to her own apartment. 'How can she have the crystal? Usagi just used it this afternoon. Then there is that key, I have never seen a key like that before. What does this all mean?'
The next morning was thankfully Sunday, and everyone was able to sleep in, although some were still up early with worry over what had happened to Sailor Mars. Ami in particular had her mercury computer on a continuous scan looking for dark energy and any signs of Sailor Mars' location.
Minako and Artemis were in the command center using the lunar resources in a similar fashion. Which is where Ami and Makoto found them later that morning.
Roselyn woke up, set up her laptop and connected it to the Ranch's system. She needed information that she didn't know if it existed. 'I really wish I could talk to you Kat. '
There weren't too many options that could explain what she saw. The laptop beeped to let Roselyn know it had connected. She sat down with a cup of coffee and began her search for any information on time travel and duplicating magical items.
After waking up on the couch Usagi called her mom and apologized for not calling the previous night and letting her know that both her and Chibi-Usa were fine and had spent the night at Roselyn's. She then told her they had plans to meet up with the girls later for some fun. Hanging up with her mother Usagi then asked, "Do you mind if I have a bit of a longer shower? I am so stiff and sore from sleeping as we did on the couch."
"I have a better idea. I am also sore so I was thinking that the three of us could take advantage of the activity center."
At the mention of activity center a cheer could be heard from the bedroom and the pink haired girl came out in a swimsuit that the couple could only assume she had gotten with her Luna-P. They laughed as they got some towels and their own swim wear before heading out, making sure to leave a window open for Luna.
After arriving at the activity center pool they changed, got Chibi-Usa into a life jacket and the couple headed toward the hot tub. "We both just need a couple minutes in the hot water to loosen up some sore muscles and then we will take turns taking you around the pool and waterslide." Usagi explained.
Chibi-Usa nodded a little disappointed at having to wait but was surprised when she saw Jason and the generals. "Can they take me in the pool?"
Mamoru looked at his guard knowing they had heard the question. [Well, could you guys? Usako and I really need the jets right now.]
"I would be honored if you would let me take you on the waterslide." Jason said taking the young girl's hand and leading her away, happy for someone to keep him busy and his mind off the missing senshi.
Kevin just looked at his prince and princess with a curious glance.
Mamoru frowned as he realized his general's unasked question. "We fell asleep on the couch while Chibi-Usa slept on my bed last night."
Kevin nodded as he motioned for the couple to lead the way to the hot tub as the two remaining generals left to check on Jason and Chibi-Usa. After the couple appeared to be relaxing in the hot tub Kevin spoke, "So, have you figured out how to deal with accommodations?"
Mamoru looked at Usagi they had completely forgotten about that. She was supposed to have returned home as of Friday and it was now Sunday, and they hadn't even discussed the situation regarding the restrictions of the bond. "We haven't found a solution, yet."
Usagi just slipped further into the hot water. [How did we forget about that?]
[A lot has been going on. We will figure something out.] He said pulling her on to his lap.
Kevin looked around before asking, "What about Chibi-Usa?" [She hypnotized your parents when she arrived, didn't she, Usagi?]
"No, we can't ask her to do that." Usagi said sitting up so quickly she accidentally canned Mamoru in her haste. [She has been through enough. I am not going to ask her to do that!]
"If that isn't an option, what about the crystals or Luna?" Zach asked coming to sit on the edge of the tub.
Usagi relaxed back into Mamoru reaching her hands behind her to run her hands through his hair. [Sorry, Mamo-chan.] She told him sheepishly as she realized what she had done in her haste. "I still have to know what we are going to implant." She paused looking up through the skylights. "That is even harder than figuring out how to do it."
With that the conversation died. After a while of just soaking and relaxing with the jets the couple got out and went to play with their daughter in the pool. Zach looked at Kevin, "What is going on with those two?"
"I don't know. They seem to have a lot on their minds, and we can't help unless they let us."
Roselyn had picked up Luna from Mamoru's intent on asking her if she had any thoughts regarding Chibi-Usa's unusual key and what appeared to be a second silver crystal. However, the feline directed her to find the others at the command center. Having had no luck with finding Mars the girls decided they needed a break and at Ami's suggestion they headed to the activity center, for lunch. Finding a table on the balcony above the pool the group sat enjoying their view. Ami sat playing chess with Roselyn, when an ad came on the TV for an upcoming chess tournament. "You two should enter."
"Oh, no." Roselyn said. "I am not good enough to play in tournaments."
Ami looked at the ad and the woman advertising it. The platinum blond in the blue body suit seemed to be challenging HER. She didn't say anything to the group, but something told her she had to enter the tournament.
Luna asked Artemis to stay back with her at the command center while the senshi headed to the activity center. Once alone she began questioning Artemis about the Silver Millenium and other senshi from that time.
Usagi left the pool for another soak in the hot tub while keeping an eye on Mamoru and Chibi-Usa. She smiled as she let her mind wander as she contemplated what memories to input into her parents' memories, and how she would deal with the reality of each.
[Usako? Please relax and come join our daughter and I for some more fun before it's time to go.] Mamoru said trying to get his girlfriend to unwind as he threw a ball back to Chibi-Usa.
The couple, generals and Chibi-Usa got out of the pool and got ready to go get some lunch. After lunch the couple left the child in the care of the four generals as they needed to talk in private.
Mamoru let his girlfriend lead as they left the restaurant, they walked through the park before eventually heading to his apartment. He could hear her thoughts and feel her anxiety but let her be and tried to stay in his own thoughts. This current dilemma had virtually nothing to do with him. They needed a way to keep the distance between them at a minimum. Once in the apartment she started talking which meant she was inviting him in. "Mamo-chan, I don't know what to do. I have to manipulate my family's minds but what to make them think." She paused as she cuddled into his side on the couch. "I can make them forget I existed, that way they wouldn't worry about me. However, then what about Chibi-Usa. Do we leave her with my parents? Do we take her with us? Do we give her the choice?"
Mamoru sighed as he held her close, "We could make them think I was staying with your family as an exchange student?" He offered.
"That would just give them another person to worry about."
"Do we have to manipulate them? What about just telling them as much of the truth as possible?"
Usagi looked at him wondering if he was going in the right or wrong direction.
They went back and forth with several different ideas. Some good, some bad. Some funny. This went on so long that they lost track of time, only realizing how late it was when Roselyn and the generals knocked on the door with supper. "We dropped Chibi-Usa off at the Tsukino's a couple hours ago."
Zach smiled, "She was so tired. After lunch we took her to Tokyo Disney and even Jason needed a nap after that."
The generals laughed even more when Roselyn pointed out Jason's pout. After eating supper Usagi and Mamoru decided to ask the generals and Roselyn what they thought would be the better option.
