The Gardevoir Who Lived

Disclaimer: I own nothing. Nintendo and J.K Rowling own the characters involved.

Beginning AN: here it is the next chapter. I'm combining Ecruteak City and Olivine City into one chapter the Ecruteak City script is too short on its own. I have a new poll going on it's asking what character I should choose if I continue the theme going on for a seventh time. the nominees of the possible story are Maria Robotnik, Cream The Rabbit, Wendy O Koopa, Vivian The Shadow Siren, Medli and Riju currently there's only one vote and it's for Medli. I personally would vote for Maria Robotnik because of the upcoming Sonic X Shadow Generations remaster of Sonic Generations. now on with the story.

Chapter 21: Ecruteak City and Olivine City

Soon after(and after they teleported back to Goldenrod to get a new plush based on Eevee's evolutions for each set) Red, James, Jessie, and Meowth, walked into Ecruteak City with Kitana the new name for Espeon, even if she has a dark typing as well. Meanwhile, Hela, Dawn, Titania, Lily, Athena, and Vulpix were riding in Kitana's fur shrunk down, and training their psychic power by trying to use psychic powers, or in Vulpix's case, Extrasensory, despite the fur being filled with dark type energy.

Eventually however they reached the gym and grew back to Gym Leader Morty.

"Good of you to come." Morty said. "Here in Ecruteak, pokemon have been revered. It's said that a rainbow colored pokemon will come down to appear before a truly powerful trainer. I have believed that tale so I have secretly trained here, all my life. As a result I can now see what others cannot. Just a bit more...with a little more, I could see a future in which I meet the pokemon of rainbow colors. Your going to help me reach that level!"

With that he sent out Gastly while Hela sent out Kitana. Kitana started off by using psychic to catch Lick and psybeam to finish it, leaving Haunter next. At this, Hela recalled Kitana and sent out Athena. At this Haunter tried to use Shadow Punch, but Athena teleported away, and used Flash to get rid of the shadows before using back to back Thunderbolts for the win. The last pokemon was Gengar, while Hela switched to Chang'e and had her chase Gengar through the shadows and emerge victorious.

"I'm not good enough yet...Alright, this badge is yours. " Morty sighed giving Hela the Fog Badge.

With that the group left and after helping Sakura and the Kimono sisters, who even let Hela take part in a show with Kitana, after a dance class headed to the pokemon center where they went to sleep, with Lily sleeping normal size inside the bag of stuffed animals while Dawn, Titania, and Hela were shrunk down to be held by her.

The next day they went to explore the Burned Tower, when they entered the ghost types of the tower made an illusion of a fire burning them, but Red had his pokemon clear the illusion.

"This tower used to be where people would come and meet the legendary pokemon Ho-oh. It was burned down 300 years ago, in a mysterious fire" Red said acting as tour guide. "A new tower was built to the east in the hope Ho-oh would return, but it never happened."

"Sounds like humans caused the fire, " Meowth said, "Or did something so Ho-oh started the fire before leaving."

"True." James said. "Otherwise Ho-oh would have returned when the new tower was built."

"That is an interesting thought," Morty said from behind them. "I'll have to search the records to see if that is true."

"Whoa!" Hela said tripping onto Titania who fell onto Dawn before all three fell into a hole to the basement where they paled when they Saw Suicune, staring at Hela, Entei, staring at Titania, and Raikou staring at Dawn before they ran away through the hole in the ceiling scaring Morty, Red, Jessie, James, Meowth, and Lily, as the three teleported back up to them.

"Seeing them when we landed was scary." Titania said.

"It was cool." Hela argued.

"It was both. " Dawn cut in.

"I think it is time to get out of here." Red said, as they nodded and left, and headed for Olivine City.

Some time later they arrived in Olivine City. While there Jessie James and Meowth went to get supplies. Red Athena and Lily went to spend some time together, and Hela and Titania decided to go on a date at Olivine Cafe before going to the gym. This left Dawn alone and she decided to visit the lighthouse.

Once there she noticed it was not lit, but thought that was because of it being daytime, so she just teleported to the top viewing platform and enjoyed the view.

After a few minutes she heard a loud sneeze and turned to look only to find a sick Ampharos and a girl.

"Oh no, what's wrong?" Dawn asked running up as the girl looked at her, and sighed.

"It's Amphy, the Ampharos that acts as the light for the lighthouse." The girl sighed. "They're sick, and I can't go to Cianwood to get the medicine to heal them myself. I need to stay here and take care of Amphy. Anyway I'm Jasmine. I think I saw you at the indigo league. You were used by that trainer...Hela right? The current champion."

"Yeah." Dawn smiled. "I was glad to help. Speaking of here..."

Dawn then focused and used heal pulse, a strong and continuous version of it that after ten minutes of nonstop use cured Amphy completely.

"You did it!" Jasmine said. "Thank you so much! And there isn't even the waiting period of the medicine!"

"It was nothing." Dawn said. "I couldn't just leave a pokemon to suffer."

"If I may ask why are you here?" Jasmine asked.

"I'm traveling with Hela as she competes in the Johto League." Dawn smiled, not noticing Jasmine pale, and start thinking before smiling.

"Well I have an idea then." Jasmine said.

"Oh?" Dawn asked.

"A gym tests how well a trainer trains their pokemon." Jasmine said. "So if I battle you I can see how well Hela trained you. It will be one on one against my Mega Steelix to give a good show to a champion level pokemon. If you win I will give Hela the badge."

"I'm pretty sure Hela would want to fight you herself. Plus my trainer is her pokemon Titania." Dawn said as Jasmine looked worried again before smirking.

"But she is still Titania's trainer thus taught her what she knows to teach you, unless you think she failed as a trainer and only got by using luck." Jasmine said as Dawn glared at her.

"Oh that is it." Dawn said. "You're on! Hela is a great trainer."

Meanwhile...

Hela and Titania were enjoying their date, the Olivine Cafe even recognizing Hela as the current Kanto champion, and deciding being the place they went for their date would be a massive boon to publicity and so they went all out. They even hired others in the city with music capabilities to act as a band using romantic music. The food was also made using the best ingredients they had and with the most perfection they could muster.

"This was the best date we've ever been on." Titania said with a sigh at the end of the meal.

"Agreed." Hela said with a grin, before kissing Titania on the lips. "I would definitely enjoy coming back here again. My compliments."

"We are glad you enjoyed it." The owner of the Olivine Cafe said with a smile that got wider at what happened next."

"Here, the money for the meal, plus a tip of 10000 Poke for each worker, owner, and music player in the Cafe today."

"Thank you very much." The owner said bowing and very happy "Please come again soon."

Hela and Titania looked at each other and smiled.

"Of course." Hela said. "We will have to pass this way on the way from the Cianwood City to Mahogany Town. We will have to come then. And I will definitely recommend this cafe to my friends."

The owner then smiled as they left.

Outside Hela and Titania reunited with Jessie, James, Meowth, Red, Athena, and Lily.

"Did you have fun?" Titania asked Lily.

"Yeah!" Lily cheered. "Grandpa Red took us to the playground and we had lots of fun!"
"That's great." Hela said with a smile. "Now we just need to meet up with Dawn, and go to the Olivine City Gym."

"You will need to wait for the gym." A passing trainer said.

"How come?" Red asked. "Is the gym closed?"

"Not anymore." The trainer said not recognizing them. "The leader Jasmine was at the lighthouse taking care of a sick Ampharos named Amphy, when a Gardevoir with dark blue hair was visiting and used Heal Pulse for about ten minutes to completely heal Amphy."

At this the group smiled recognizing the Gardevoir as Dawn.

"What happened next." James asked. "You said the gym was not closed anymore."

"Oh, right." The trainer said. "So Jasmine recognized her as one of the Gardevoir's the new kanto champion, Hela used in battle. And she offered a challenge. If the Gardevoir can beat her Mega Steelix in a one on one battle without any orders from her trainer Jasmine will give Hela the gym badge. At first Dawn said Hela would prefer to do the gym battle herself, and even then she was the pokemon of Titania not Hela and so refused but..."

"But what?" Hela asked frowning knowing she would prefer to do the battle herself, and glad Dawn knew that but was worried about that but...

"Well, Jasmine said, and I quote 'But she is still Titania's trainer thus taught her what she knows to teach you, unless you think she failed as a trainer and only got by using luck.'" The trainer said causing all of them to get angry. "That made the Gardevoir so angry that she accepted, which I think is what Jasmine wanted as she was smirking at the time. Still I would love to see it, but Jasmine loves to have Steelix use Sandstorm, and with it being Mega Steelix, I won't be able to see anything until the battle is over. Anyway that means you will have to wait until the battle is over and the pokemon are rested to fight Jasmine."

With that the trainer left still not recognizing them.

"Jasmine is a meanie." Lily pouted getting nods. "I'm going to put on the cheer outfit and cheer on Mommy."

"I will too." Titania and Hela agreed.

"Just remember the rules say you can't give her any orders so cheer for her only." Red said with narrowed eyes. "Jasmine may have antagonized her into accepting but that was still the rules of the battle."

"Right." They agreed, as they got in the cheer outfits and headed into the gym where they found the trainer was right. The entire battlefield was surrounded by a Sandstorm so thick they could barely see within it.

Suddenly there was a thud as Dawn was blasted by an Iron Tail right into the barrier in front of them.

"Ugh." Dawn grunted as Titania, Lily, and Hela, shrunk down and rode on Vulpix's head to get as close to the barrier as they could without passing it and began to cheer her on, causing her to smile as she noticed them. "Thanks. I won't give up."

She then teleported away dodging a crunch that turned into a dig, before teleporting back and sending a mystical fire down the hole, and sending Magical Leaf through it to make flaming leaves dealing lots of damage.

Mega Steelix then burst out and tried to use Iron Tail again only for Dawn to teleport away and Mega Steelix follow deeper into the arena where the sandstorm blocked their view.

Inside Dawn wasn't doing so well, she had dealt several attacks, but also received several, worse was Iron tail, which thanks to Mega Steelix's ability Sand Force was even greater then normal. But with the others cheering her on she put everything she had into a final Mystical Fire.

There was a sudden rush of heat before the sandstorm began to die. When it did, they saw the attack had turned the sand to glass, and trapped Mega Steelix in a Glass statue, and with how thick the sandstorm was Mega Steelix could not escape.

"You won." Jasmine sighed, before wincing when she saw Dawn was panting with her hands on her knees and covered in bruises. "I'll give Hela the badge when she arrives."

"I should hope so." Hela said back to normal size as she arrived on the battle field. "I heard about your stunt daring to defame my accomplishments as luck getting me by so you challenged Dawn by herself."

"You are a champion." Jasmine admitted as she handed over the badge. "While taking care of Amphy I had no time to train, and had no chance against you. So I was hoping I would have a chance against a pokemon trained by you fighting on her own against my strongest pokemon, and I almost did."

"Except if Dawn had lost I would have still arrived to battle you myself." Hela said with a snarl as Titania returned Dawn to her pokeball, and Jasmine winced.

"She's right." Titania said with a glare as she read her surface thoughts. "All you did was hurt her in an attempt to soothe your ego. You didn't want to lose so set a handicap that put you at a massive advantage. And this to the one who healed Amphy for you. The only reward you offered was an attempt to beat her up without losing. Despicable."

"I agree." Red said.

"Honestly after the Olivine Cafe I thought this city was good." Hela said turning away. "But now...If this city could create someone like you then I doubt it. That cafe was probably just trying to use me if they are anything like you are. Come on. Let's heal Dawn, then leave this town. I never want to return. We can teleport to another city after Cianwood and avoid returning to this city at all."

"Agreed." They agreed as they left the gym and a despondent gym leader.

An hour later Dawn was healed and they left heading to Cianwood City.

Meanwhile...the Olivine Cafe owner heard what happened and was furious at Jasmine ruining Hela's impression of him. so he told the local Officer Jenny what happened and as a result Olivine City would need a new Gym Leader since the previous one got fired for trying to cheat out a victory by not letting Hela challenge her directly and fighting Dawn by herself.

Ending AN: that's the chapter. like I mentioned before I started the chapter I have a poll going on for a possible seventh story. and before anyone calls me out on it by saying I could end up like Sakurademonalchemist and have hundreds of stories with hardly any of them completed I'll likely finish some of my stories before i reach that point.

Next Time: Our heroes challenge and defeat Chuck then hear about a Safari Zone nearby so they go explore it before starting the journey to Mahogany City.
