Esme was still processing what Elias had said in her mind 'did he just say he refuses!' Esme thought to herself in shock as she cleared her throat still showing a stoic expression on her face
"I'm sorry I don't think I heard you correctly, could you perhaps repeat that please" Esme said pushing in her reading glasses "I think you heard me, I refuse to go back to my world" Elias said crossing his arms
Raphunzel seemingly getting the plan that Elias was setting in motion crossed his arms as well "I don't want to go either" Raphunzel said with a pout on his face
'Well...this was an unexpected turn of events, I didn't expect them to rebel about leaving right away...fine if they want to stay they will, but they should know what they're getting if they do stay' Esme thought to herself pushing in her glasses
Esme sighed and looked at the two of them "fine you can stay, but I'm not letting you stay for free...since you're uninjured I want you both to do some chores and you'll sleep in separate rooms" Esme said listing off the commands
"If you both can go through a list of chores equally then I will let you stay longer, but that all depends on if you do a good job or not" Esme said with a glint in her glasses
'How's that, there's no way they would...' Esme thought only to hear "ok let's do it" Raphunzel said "It should be difficult but I think I can handle it" Elias said in a calm tone 'you've got to be kidding me' Esme thought to herself in shock her eye twitching slightly
"You guys are really stubborn you know that" Esme said ruffling her own hair and pulling off her glasses to rub her brows tiredly making the two of them smile at her "but of course we wouldn't make you do the chores yourself" Raphunzel said with a smile
"Hey now you...!" Esme felt her vision blur as she staggered 'ah...already but I was just...' Esme's thought stopped as she fell backwards making Elias and Raphunzel catch her unconscious body
"Why did she suddenly collapse!" Raphunzel said Elias had a knowing feeling in his chest "I probably know the answer to that" Elias said with a sigh
[Rose- since when were you an insomniac, I thought I knew all my cousins but apparently I need to spend more time with all of you guys individually] Rose said with a worried tone
[Elias- don't worry she's been getting plenty of sleep because of the pregnancy] Elias said with a soft smile on his face [Raphunzel- we're going to make sure it stays that way right love] Raphunzel said
This made Esme clear her throat [Esme- yes, yes whatever you say Raph] Esme said his nickname as she went back to the page she was on and continued reading
Emilia walked by the door and saw them in the room "oh so Esme finally gave into sleep huh, can't say that's much of a shocker" Emilia said kneeling down to look at Esme's sleeping face
"Can you be clear how long has this been going on for?" Elias said with a firm tone "Esme's been an insomniac since 3 years ago, she's not really one to give up on work so easily so she just spends most of her time awake instead of sleeping" Emilia said
"Do you know when the insomnia was showing up?" Elias asked making Emilia shrug "honestly she should sleep more, it's really not healthy to keep herself awake with no sleep" Emilia said rubbing the back of her neck
Raphunzel picked up Esme's body in a bridal style carry "do you know where Esme's room is" Raphunzel said Emilia looked at them curiously "her room is at the end of the hall to the right next to mine" Emilia said giving him a detailed instruction
Elias and Raphunzel found the door to Esme's room and opened it, they were surprised that for such a stoic girl her room was quite messy "my goodness!" Elias said seeing all the paperwork on the ground scattered around
Raphunzel set Esme down on the bed pulling the glasses off her face gently "I guess Esme's room will be the first to get cleaned" Elias said with a deep sigh
Emilia leaned against the door frame "she's letting you stay for chores, that's a surprise I thought she'd immediately send you guys back to your world" Emilia said casually crossing her arms
"Oh she tried" Raphunzel said "but unfortunately we aren't ones to give up so easily...isn't that right Raphunzel" Elias said with a smirk on his face "I agree wholeheartedly" Raphunzel said making Emilia look at the both of them in wonder
