The sky's red hue grew darker and more intense as the minutes passed by. The hours oppressively dragged on, with no solutions to the girls' current predicament. Gabriel, Vigne and Raphiel all sat sullenly on the penthouse couch while Satania paced back and forth in their temporary jail cell.

"There's gotta be something we can do...Vigne, can you try talking to your aunt again?"

Vigne shook her head dejectedly. "Once Auntie makes up her mind, it's an uphill battle to change it. And even if she would, how exactly am I supposed to do that?" she gestured toward the magical seal surrounding the room.

'The least useful again...'

"Gabriel, Raphiel, any ideas?"

Raphiel remained silent in thought.

Gabriel's head snapped upwards.

"Ideas? You want ideas? Sure, let's just forget the three of us are gonna be on TRIAL tomorrow!" she yelled. "After being attacked multiple times tonight! How much are we gonna risk for your fake visions?!"

"They're not fake! If anything they're becoming more real! We fought similar enemies in a couple of them. It has to mean something!" Satania argued.

"Wait..stop. 'We?' All four of us were fighting in your vision?!" Gabriel accused.

Satania faltered. "Well-"

"You never mentioned this to us?" Raphiel questioned.

"None of you would've believed me if I did!" Satania shouted.

"That's not the point Satania." Raphiel sighed.

"Then what is Raphiel? Wanna hear me just SPILL about how Vigne or Gabriel's corpses were at my feet! No, better yet, how about me telling you how YOU GET IMPALED IN FRONT OF ME! Please, how in any way is that information helpful?!"

"You brought us to a place where we know your vision takes place, knowing that was where we died in your vision. Visions we now know can be true. You don't see anything wrong with that?!" Gabriel yelled back, staring daggers at Satania.

"Stop arguing! This isn't helping at all!" Vigne screamed, her fingers clawing through her scalp.

Gabriel exhaled, her hands slowly unclenching as she deflated.

"Sorry Vigne...I just-"

Gabriel paused, gaze attuned to the penthouse entrance. The other girls followed suit, and watched the most bizarre display. A captivating vibrant green snake was comically squeezing its way underneath the doorway. Clearing the tight space, it slid up to the middle of the black door before spinning violently inwards in a circle, and somehow becoming even more vibrant.

"Haah. She really didn't want you out of here huh? What a pain." a familiar voice drawled out.

A blinding white flash enveloped the room and the doorway creaked open, revealing the tiny genius herself.

"Hm-hm. Seems you all really kicked the pooch this time." Invidia affectionately pet the snake in her hands, before it coiled around her right arm, fusing into her skin. Satania, Raphiel, Gabriel and Vigne blankly stared at the woman. "You imbeciles better pick up your jaws off the floor. We have a couple minutes at best before the seal on the room reactivates."

"You're breaking us out?" Satania asked.

"Duh. You two, catch."

Raphiel and Gabriel caught the flying objects, two identical elliptical pins made of mercury, their silver gleam only complimented by a green diamond in each pins' center. Both girls looked at the objects quizzically, Invidia gesturing to them to place it against their wrists. Hesitantly, Gabriel did so and the green gem glowed sinisterly. A needle shot out from underneath the gem and pierced Gabriel's wrist . She winced, while the metal expanded and formed a band around her wrist.

"What the heck did you - what?! Why are you guys staring at me like..that..." the angel gaped at her reflection in the window. Her normal golden tresses were now pitch black, and her azure blue eyes were now a deep crimson red.

"What did this thing do to me?!" Gabriel shrieked.

"Shh! Relax, kid. That device uses raw energy to change your appearance so you appear to be a demon. Hair, eyes, it even disguises your halo and changes your wings. It works vice versa with demons too. Should help you sneak out and about, yeah?" Invidia explained.

Raphiel mimicked Gabriel's action and the device turned her platinum hair to a dark Scarlet, and her eyes completely black. "Remember it changes your appearance only. You're both still biologically angels. So be careful using your spells or weapons, they might give you away. Clothing and accessories don't change either so might wanna fix that, if it's too 'on the nose'." the Sin pointed to Raphiel's cross shaped hair pins, which she promptly removed from her hair.

"But why are you -"

"I'm not helping you or your friends Vigne." Invidia cut her off. "I'm using you as guinea pigs. Those devices are still in the prototype stages. You still have places to visit and test Satanachia's theory correct? You visit these places, I get my test runs and data, simple."

"And if the devices malfunction?" Raphiel asked.

"Use your brains and don't be suspicious morons! Now hurry up and get out before the seal repairs itself!" Invidia barked. "Use the windows, that will help minimize who sees you fleeing and you'll avoid guards in the building. An investigation team hasn't been put together yet, so you still have a small window to visit the town again."

"Right." Raphiel unlatched the giant wall sized window to the penthouse, the night's chills seeping into the apartment.

"What is it you angels say in times of difficult labors? Ah, yes. Ave Crux Spes Unica."

Satania stopped dead in her tracks, her body as stiff as stone.

'How does she know that?'

She whipped her head around only to see the retreating back of the Sin.

"Good luck." Invidia drawled, waving dully before leaving the penthouse.

The four 'demons' began to leap out of the window one after the other, hovering over the cityscape below.

"Okay, let's start at Slechtvoorteken. Those angels had to come here somehow." Raphiel suggested.

"East we go then." Vigne said.

"So...hand trick again?" Satania asked as the four stood under the central tower of the somewhat intact town.

"Don't think we're gonna need to do that." Gabriel pointed to the ominous dark blue oval above, contrasting the garnet sky. It's much easier to spot in the now eerily quiet town, devoid of any of its inhabitants due to the attack.

"Well that was easy. Let's get going!"

"No you don't." Gabriel grabbed the demon before she could take off. Raphiel stared down Satania while Vigne quietly gazed at the rubble dotting the ground.

"What's with those reactions?! Let's go!" Satania urged.

"No. I'm not gonna keep jumping through portals for you if you keep lying."

"Your personal visions are completely privy to you and you alone... but we know now that there is some inkling of truth to them. If any of us are involved in it, especially if we get injured, we should have the right to know. At the very least, we'll be prepared for what comes next, if anything. You need to promise us that, at least. No more lies." Raphiel pressed.

Satania's shoulders drooped as she lowered from her excited state. "Right...right. Sorry guys. From here on out, I'll tell you if you appear in any of my visions."

"Good. We also need a plan dummy. If our reception in Hell was this lukewarm, Dea knows how bad Heaven will be if we just waltz in." Gabriel said.

"Actually, I already have a solution to that. My family's estate should be plenty large enough for us to set up shop in. Mother & father are always away on business too, so we should be fine."

"We should also go in first. Scope it out, just in case it's swarming with angels." Gabriel added.

Raphiel nodded along. "Excellent point. You two should take these as well."

Raphiel and Gabriel removed the strange bracelets from their hands, reverting back to their angelic appearances before handing the devices over to Satania and Vigne.

"It pinches a little." Raphiel warned.

Both demons placed the devices similarly to how Raphiel and Gabriel had theirs, and forgo their demonic traits for angelic ones. Satania's red hair was replaced with blonde hair and her pinkish eyes swapped with ocean blue ones. Vigne similarly had deep blue eyes and -

"Wait. My hair is black now. Did the stupid bracelet thing break?"

"Dark purple to black isn't a very angelic change." Satania commented.

"Black hair, while uncommon, is still present on some angels." Raphiel explained. "We'll be back."

Satania waved off the two angels as they flew into the blue portal. She grabbed her new golden hair, examining the clump before twirling some strands between her fingers.

'Freaky.'

Her hair bristled, feeling the pair of eyes scrutinizing her. Before she could comment on it, Gabriel and Raphiel returned from the portal.

"That was fast." Vigne muttered.

"We didn't actually go to Heaven." Raphiel replied.

Confused, Satania asked "Then where did you-"

"We can waste time talking, or we can just show you." Gabriel cut her off, before entering the portal again.

"Fine. After you." Satania followed after Vigne and Raphiel entered the portal. She couldn't quite place why, but this inter dimensional hop felt less forceful, at least not as surprising as the portal in Al Cielo was. There was no pulling sensation or dizziness. Smoother and more streamlined, the blue spatial tunnel gently lofted her out to the other side, joining her friends standing… somewhere.

"Where the hell are we now?" Satania asked.

Standing on a lone floating island made up of what seemed to be fading white quartz and tiles of perfectly spaced symmetrical squares, well they would be if the weird floating landmass didn't have chunks ripped off it to Satan knows where. Similar land masses and chunks containing buildings of all shapes and sizes made of the same unfamiliar material floated in the black void of the sky aimlessly. Whatever the material was, Satania sure as hell didn't recognize it from demonic infrastructure, or human buildings for that matter. And judging from Raphiel and Gabriel's bewildered faces, the floating cabal of white chunks and land masses didn't resemble anything from Heaven either.

"Well, wherever we are doesn't matter. There's a portal to Heaven right here." Gabriel answered, pointing to an open and glaringly yellow oval hovering a few feet next to them.

"We'll be doing the same procedure. Gab and I will head in first. Since we know this has to be where those angels came from, we'll need to investigate the exit. We'll come back when it's safe."

Both angels headed into the portal leaving the two disguised demons. Satania sighed.

"Yes, Vigne?" she directed to the scrutinizing gaze.

"We weren't supposed to fight anybody. Those were our orders." Vigne stated.

"We had to do something." Satania shot back.

"Something, yes. But fighting trained angels, powerful ones mind you, head on? That was suicidal! We could have handled it better than that!"

"Handled it better? Like you did? We would be dead if we were cowering or vanished like you did!"

"Cowering?!" Vigne growled. "Who do you think helped get the remaining demons to safety? Who do you think went back to the squad members we blinded and got reinforcements to show up?! And if it wasn't for Raphiel you would've been captured too, or worse!"

"So?! What is with you three all of a sudden? It all worked out right? No one got hurt!"

"But someone could have. We're heading straight into the lion's den, potentially facing angels we don't know for reasons we don't understand. I'm just saying we need to be more careful." Vigne pleaded.

Satania looked away, folding her arms. The portal shone brightly as Gabriel's figure reemerged.

"I'm back guys and..." Gabriel looked between the two distraught faces. "...Raphiel finished setting up so we're good to go now."

Vigne wordlessly entered the portal, Gabriel following suit. Satania sullenly gazed at the fractured ruins in the void, before entering the portal.
