[Drake's POV]
I don't know about you, but what I achieved I considered it a great start, I had finally found a way to talk to them, even if it was just a temporary solution until I could actually speak to them.
"Let us out" said the red tentacled girl in sign language.
"Calm down... I not hurt... you or your friend" I replied to her while she still looked at me with suspicion, while the orange tentacled one just stared at us with curiosity.
"I don't trust you... What are going to do to us?" asked the red tentacled girl.
"Not do anything... I just want... Ask you questions" I replied to her.
"You shot at us... And then captured us..." she signed staring at me with a frown.
"You attack me... And pursue me, I only defended myself..." I replied to her, making her look at me in confusion.
[POV: Third person]
"Pursue him...?" Otome asked herself, then turned around to look at the inkling next to her, remembering that the Squid Sisters along with other four of them were pursuing him for some reason.
But her thoughts were interrupted by some light tapping on the glass.
"Look... Sorry for shooting you and capturing you, you and your friend... I stressed and confused... Since I wake up..." signed Drake, giving the octopus girl a sincere look.
Otome had a vague idea of what the human meant when he said "wake up" but decided to rule it out because that was just impossible.
Otome then decided to emphasize on something that Drake didn't know yet.
"She's not my friend" she signed, pointing at Nary.
"What?" signed Drake in reply, confused at what Otome just said.
"She... Is not my friend" she repeated herself, once again pointing at Nary.
"But you were together... Aren't you... Same species?" asked Drake, making Otome frown even more at being compared to the Inkling next to her.
"We're not... The same species... We look similar, but we're also different" replied Otome, leaving Drake in thought for a moment.
"Well now that you say it..." commented Drake to himself as he took a closer look at the girls. Their tentacles and heights were different, those masks on their faces were different as well.
While Nary's eyes had a black outline that connected with itself at the top of her nose, Otome's had purple outlines and weren't connected, as well as having a small tip on the bottom corner of each eye.
Drake thought the girls looked cute with those marks on them.
Another thing Drake noticed was that their bodies weren't those of kids, perhaps their height made them look like one, But their bodies made them look more like... A mini woman, or a teenager.
"How curious..." Drake commented to himself once again, only to then remember that the two of them were still trapped inside the glass, and he had to let them out if he wanted to gain their trust.
"Bruce... Do you think it'd be a good idea to let them out...?" asked Drake without turning to look at it.
"The choice is yours, sir... But if you want my advice, I do not think your relationship with them will be the best if you keep them in there" replied the floating robot.
Drake thought about what the robot had said for a moment, before standing up.
"sorry, have to think something... I will return later" said the human to both girls in sign language as he walked out of the lab.
Otome's reaction was to just sigh and sit with her arms and legs crossed.
"Hey, could you tell me what you two were doing? It looked like you were playing rock, paper, scissors" asked Nary sitting next to her, with her feet together and her hands on top of them.
"We were talking to each other in sign language..." replied Otome with a serious tone, not even turning to look at Nary.
"And how did you learn it? I don't think Octarians have any trouble to speak, right?" asked the squid girl once again.
"I don't have to tell you that" replied the Octoling.
"Oh come on, I helped you with your little plan" said Nary, somewhat irritated.
"Well... It was technically your plan..." replied Otome, finally turning to look at her with her eyes half closed.
"W-well... I also told you why we were chasing after-..." Nary tried to argue but was interrupted by the lieutenant.
"You didn't tell me anything, you interrupted yourself mid-sentence..." said Otome, still staring at her.
"Hmph...!" Nary didn't try to argue back this time, she just pouted angrily.
The moment Otome saw her expression, she couldn't help but sigh and look away from her.
"My aunt was deaf, alright?" she replied begrudgingly, followed by closing her eyes.
"See? That wasn't so hard now was it?" asked the squid girl with a smile on her face.
"Whatever, and don't talk to me like I'm your friend..." Said Otome, turning her back against Nary.
As she heard the lieutenant's comment, Nary's smile quickly changed to an annoyed expression, and turned her back against the octopus girl as well.
"As if I wanted to be friends with an Octarian..." she replied, crossing her arms.
[Thirty minutes later]
"I'm... Sooo... Hungry... If this guy wants to starve us to death... It's working..." complained the squid girl putting a hand on her stomach as it grumbled.
"Hm... Pathetic..." commented Otome with a smirk of superiority, her back still facing the inkling.
"Oh come on, you're probably hungry as well" replied Nary, turning to look at her.
"But at least I don't show it" said Otome full of herself.
"Yeah right, just wait until your stomach grumbles as well" replied Nary, looking at her mockingly.
"I'm an elite Octoling, I've been trained to not show even the slightest sign of-..." Otome tried to say with pride but was then interrupted by the sound of her own stomach grumbling, perhaps even louder than Nary's, making her confidence and pride vanish in an instant, not to mention that she got red in the face with embarrassment.
"P-please, keep g-going" Nary encouraged her while trying to contain her laugh while Otome just turned around to glare at her.
Shortly after, they heard a door opening, showing that Drake had finally returned.
He then walked towards the girls' 'cell', crouching down in front of them.
"I know... What to do with you two..." signed the human, looking at both girls.
Otome gulped nervously, not knowing what awaited them.
"I let you out... With condition... You not attack... When I open door, and answer questions" signed drake, making Otome stare at him, and then at the robot floating next to him.
"Hey, what did he tell you?" said Nary, getting closer to the octoling.
"He said he's gonna let us out..." replied Otome without looking at her.
"Really!?" the inkling asked again in disbelief.
"Yeah... But with the condition of not attacking him once we step out... And then ask us some questions..." replied the lieutenant.
"Could it be a trap?... I don't think he's gonna let us out just like that, and then answer some simple questions, surely he's gonna ask for something else... But I don't have anything valuable on me right now... And I doubt the inkling has something on her... Unless..." Otome thought about that last part for a moment, having a vague idea of what it may be, but said idea was clear enough for her to get red in the face and gulp.
"Hey..." said Drake, tapping the glass, startling Otome and making her stare at the human.
"Are you alright...? Your face... Red..." signed Drake.
"Yeah... I'm alright..." Otome replied in signs while looking away.
"I don't want to do that with him just because he let me out...! I'll have to find another way out... Maybe... A hostage" Thought Otome while staring at Bruce.
"So... Do we have deal?" Drake asked Otome, who had turned to look at Nary.
"I-I think it's only fair we don't attack him if he lets us out" the squid girl gave her opinion with a little smile on her face.
"So naïve... She doesn't even know what awaits her, but no time to make a plan with her... I'll have to do this myself" Thought the octopus girl, turning towards the human, followed by nodding her head.
"Great... We have a deal..." said Drake as he stood up and then walked to the side of the sphere.
A small holographic panel showed up on Drake's side of the glass. He pressed a few buttons on it, and then a hidden door appeared in front of the girls and slowly went down to act as a ramp.
The human quickly positioned himself in front of said door, keeping his distance to let the girls walk out.
The inkling and the octoling both slowly walked out of their glass prison, one after the other, only to stop in front of the taller creature.
Not a single word was uttered for about 20 seconds, leaving all three of them with an awkward silence while they stared at each other, waiting for someone to do or say something.
Until Nary finally spoke up.
"Woomy!" she said, pulling Drake out of his trance.
"Oh... Uhh... Well... I suppose we could start with... Our names" said Drake in his language, before repeating himself in sign language so they could understand.
"What did he say?" asked Nary, moving her head closer to Otome's.
"He said he wants to know our names..." replied Otome, staying alert in case anything happened.
"Okay, I start..." signed Drake as he cleared his throat.
"My name... Is Drake... Me... Drake" he said as he brought his hands to his chest.
"You understand me...? Me, Drake..." the human continued, patting his chest every time he said his name.
Nary took a moment before she realized that the strange creature in front of them was telling them his name, which made her try to copy the way he was pronouncing it.
"D-dr... R-ra-... Dray-..." The inkling struggled to say as she clenched her fists, forcing herself to try and pronounce his name.
Seeing what the squid girl was trying to do, Drake decided to help her out.
"That's right... Drake, can you say that...? Drake" The human slowly repeated his name.
"D-... Dray-... Drake!" Nary had finally said it right, almost yelling the name while her eyes were closed shut.
"Cool..." said the human almost whispering, while a smile showed up on his face.
"Now... Could you tell me YOUR names?" asked the human, pointing at both of them.
The girls, of course, didn't understand what he said right away, taking some time to realize that he was asking them their names, Otome doubted for a moment if she should tell him her name, but just as she was about to say it, Nary interrupted her.
"Nary! Nary! My name is Nary!" exclaimed the squid girl as she hopped in place with one arm in the air, like an excited kid talking to their teacher.
Drake couldn't understand her right away as well, even less so with that gurgle in her voice, but soon after Nary started repeating her name slowly, making him understand just enough to have an idea of what her name may be.
"N-... Nary...?" he asked, begging in his head to having said it right.
The moment the squid girl heard the human say her name right, she energetically nodded her head and gave him a smile.
"We're... Progressing faster than I expected..." Drake said to himself, returning the smile, he then turned around to look at the octopus girl.
"Aren't you gonna tell me your name as well?" asked the human to the Octoling.
"Alright... No going back now" Thought Otome as she stepped forward.
The octopus girl then said a short sentence in her language while pointing her finger at Drake's robotic helper.
"Ah, that thing?... He's my friend, Bruce, say hi Bruce" said the human looking at the floating robot.
"Hello, I am D14-33-A, but you may call me 'Bruce', nice to meet you" Bruce introduced itself.
"See? Bruce is my friend... Can you say 'Bruce'?" asked Drake to the octoling, smiling at her.
Otome just shook her head, repeated the same sentence, and pointed her finger at the robot once again.
"Bruce... I think... She wants to tell you something" said Drake, still looking at Otome.
Bruce didn't reply and just slowly got closer to the octoling, stopping just in front of her face.
"May I help you?" asked Bruce in front of Otome, 'blinking' with its lens.
But the red tentacled Octoling didn't reply, instead, to everyone's surprise, she captured Bruce with her hands, jumped away from drake and rolled towards a rock that was near her.
Drake took out a Glock 19 he was carrying on his waist out of reflex and aimed at the octopus girl.
The octoling swiftly grabbed the rock and pinned Bruce against the floor as she lifted the rock above her head, ready to smash it.
"DROP IT!" ordered Drake, still aiming at Otome.
"Drop your weapon or say goodbye to your friend!" threatened Otome, still holding the rock up high.
Although Drake couldn't understand what she meant, judging by the tone of her voice, he noticed that she was possibly ordering him to do something.
Bruce tried to search for a way out in its database as it was being held under Otome's hand.
Nary, on the other hand, had no idea what was going on, and didn't know what to do either.
"DROP YOUR WEAPON NOW!" ordered the octarian once again, looking at the human defiantly.
The human just kept aiming at her, not knowing if he should shoot her or not, if he did, he would save Bruce, but would also lose every bit of trust that the squid girl had on him.
Otome had grown tired of waiting and prepared to smash Bruce with the rock on her hand, but in that moment, Drake stopped her by catching her attention.
"WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!" the brown-haired man yelled, putting a hand in front of him.
"Look!" he continued, dropping his gun onto the floor and raising both arms.
Drake was completely out of ideas now, being completely unarmed.
"Now, kick it towards me!" said Otome with a serious tone.
"I can't understand you..." replied Drake with his arms still raised.
"Your weapon... Kick it towards me..." said Otome pointing at the weapon on the floor, followed by making a kicking motion and pointing at herself.
Drake now realized what she meant, and as he was getting closer to the weapon, he remembered something that could possibly save his robotic buddy.
The human put a foot on top of the gun, and just as he slid it towards Otome...
"Bruce! self defense protocol, electric discharge!" Drake ordered to the robot, and to the octoling's surprise, Bruce's shell became electrified, shocking the poor Octoling.
Otome couldn't even scream as the electricity coursed through her body, leaving her completely paralyzed.
But the moment Bruce had ended its self defense protocol, Otome just stood still with her arms and head hanging in front of her, before she fell to her knees and collapsed onto the floor, now unconscious, while Bruce slipped away from her hand.
Drake quickly ran towards the octopus girl, turning her around and resting her head on his arms, followed by placing two fingers on her neck.
Once he felt the octoling's pulse, he let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh thank god... She's still alive" commented Drake as he stared at Otome's face.
"Why did you do that...? I thought we had a deal..." he continued, princess carrying the Octoling back to the glass sphere.
Drake carefully placed Otome inside of it, making sure he didn't hit her head as he entered, and then closed its door after leaving.
"You alright, Bruce?" asked the human as he approached the gun he dropped earlier and picked it up.
"Nothing to worry about, sir" replied the floating robot, placing itself in front of Drake.
"What a relief..." he said as he holstered his gun once more.
"Sir... What are your plans for your other... Guest?" asked Bruce.
Drake didn't reply and simply turned to look at the place where the inkling was standing, only to see that she wasn't there, instead, he saw how she was tiptoeing towards the door where he had previously left.
"Hey..." said the human behind the orange tentacled girl, causing her to stand stiff like a stick, making a cute "eep!" as she was startled.
Narie turned around to face the human but couldn't help but gulp nervously.
"Sir, will you make her go back into the sphere? Asked Bruce, floating next to Drake's head.
"Hmm... Nah... Not her" replied Drake, crossing his arms as he looked Nary up and down.
"Are you sure, sir? What if she tries something?" Bruce questioned him.
"I don't think she'll try to do anything... She doesn't look as... Distrustful... As the other one?" replied Drake.
"And how are you so sure?" the robot questioned him again.
"When her friend attacked you, she just looked... Surprised at her actions, and also... If they were working together, the other girl would've asked her to pick up my gun" testified the soldier, looking at his companion.
The human turned towards Nary once again and then gave her a smile as he stepped towards her.
Nary, of course, reacted by taking a step back, looking at Drake with fear.
"Calm down" Drake tried to calm Nary down, putting his hands in front of him and crouching down to her height, although this time Nary appeared taller than him.
"I not... Hurt you" said the human in sign language.
Since Nary didn't know sign language, she just shook her head.
Drake didn't understand why she was doing that, or why she didn't reply to him.
"Does she... Not know sign language?" Drake thought to himself, but his thoughts were quickly interrupted by Nary's hungry stomach, making an audible grumble.
The now embarrassed inkling, simply blushed and looked away from the human, wishing for the earth to swallow her.
Drake quickly came up with an idea, remembering something he had brought with him.
"You must be hungry, right?" he said as he took one of his hands behind him.
Nary got scared for a moment, thinking that he was going to take out his weapon, causing her to stand still with her eyes closed shut and clenching her fists.
She hoped that if he was going to splat her, to at least make it quick.
But instead of that, she heard the sound of a plastic wrapper being opened.
The squid girl slowly opened her eyes once again, seeing that the strange creature in front of her had what appeared to be a bar of chocolate.
"Don't worry, it's chocolate... It's delicious" said Drake as he broke off a piece of it and took it to his mouth.
"You want shome?" continued the human, offering the chocolate bar to the inkling as he munched on the piece he took earlier.
Nary was doubting if she should take the offer, but her hunger wasn't letting her think clearly, and she also couldn't take her eyes off of the chocolate bar, which did look delicious, and the fact that Drake ate some of it in front of her didn't help at all.
Nary cautiously started to approach Drake, who didn't even move as she did, waiting for her to finally accept his offer.
Once she stepped almost in front of the chocolate bar, the inkling wasn't sure of taking another step.
"You want it or not?" asked the human, waving the candy in front of her.
Nary was starting to grow desperate to know what she should do, slightly drooling as she stared at the chocolate.
"No...? Well, guess I'll just eat it all by myself" said Drake as he moved the bar away from the squid girl, before making it look as if he was about to eat it.
Not being able to resist the temptation anymore, Nary got close enough to Drake to take the chocolate off from his hands and then turn her back on him as she desperately ate it.
Drake only smiled and chuckled a little, while taking a hand to his back and taking out another chocolate bar.
He lightly tapped Nary's shoulder to gain her attention, which made her turn around and look at him, still munching on the candy.
"You want it?" asked Drake as he offered it to her. "I planned on giving it to your friend... But it seems she can't eat it right now" he continued, giving the squid girl a warm smile.
Nary, for her part, just stared at the human, something in his eyes was telling her she could trust him, at least a little.
Nary cautiously took the chocolate bar, but this time its wrapper wasn't open, so she just stared at it for a couple of seconds before putting her eyes back on the human.
"I know we didn't make off on the right foot, and that you can't understand what I say, But even then... Nice to meet you... Nary" said Drake, outstretching his hand.
The girl thought about shaking his hand for a moment, but perhaps it'd be rude if she didn't.
So Nary slowly brought her hand closer to his, until they finally shook them, and something that surprised the inkling as well as peaking her curiosity was that the human's hand felt pleasantly warm.
After shaking her hand, Drake stood up once again, now making the inkling have to look up to make eye contact.
The brown-haired man let go of Nary's hand, before walking past her, while the squid girl followed him with her eyes.
"I have more of those if you'd like" offered Drake as he headed towards the lab's door.
"Though I'd bet a few chocolate bars won't be enough to satisfy your hunger" he continued, leaning against the doorframe, waiting for her to follow him.
Obviously, Nary didn't understand what he just said, but she had an idea of what he wanted.
She then put her eyes back on the chocolate she was holding, its wrapper still intact, and then turned to look at the octoling, still unconscious inside the sphere.
"Puo'ry" said the inkling, finally speaking to Drake, while pointing at Otome with her finger.
"Huh...? Oh, don't worry about her... She's just... Sleeping" said the human, putting his hands together and resting his head on them, making the classic 'sleeping' sign.
"Come on, we'll... Uhh... Eat something, and... Talk for a bit... Then... We come back and... See if she's woken up" said Drake while trying to make easy to understand signs, in an attempt to make the squid girl understand what he was saying.
And to his relief, she nodded along and walked to where Drake was standing.
Drake simply kept the door open as the inkling left the room, followed by him, and lastly, Bruce.
"Bruce? do you really think you can make that translator?" whispered Drake to his little helper.
"If I take some time to analyze their language, tone, voice patterns, expressions and volume, perhaps I could make one, Until then, I need you to make her talk to you" replied the robot.
"Oh boy... This is gonna take a while" commented Drake as he sighed, he then looked back to see the inkling, eating the chocolate that he gave her.

[News center]
[5 hours after the 'kidnapping']
After the events that the Squid Sisters and SquidFire had gone through, they returned to the city.
Callie and Marie had some difficulty trying to convince the three friends to come back with them, since they wanted to stay and look for a way to save their missing friend, but after some arguing, they finally convinced them, though they did so reluctantly.
"Do you think we've lost three of our fans now?" asked Callie, worried about Levin, Shara and Nayls, while getting ready to host the news.
"Don't say that, Callie. We both know that we couldn't do anything in that moment, and it was also getting dark outside" replied Marie, doing the same thing as her cousin.
"I mean, I know, but... You saw them, you saw how worried they were, they even proposed to stay there all night... I would've done the same if I was on their shoes" said Callie, staring at the floor.
Marie then approached her cousin and put a hand on her shoulder.
"I know you feel bad for them, I feel the same way as well... But now we just have to recover our strength and make a plan... You know what comes after this, we have to go with gramps and tell him everything, and tomorrow we'll see what we can do" proposed Marie, trying to cheer Callie up.
"You're right... We'll go after him and save that inkling tomorrow, except this time I'm taking my roller, he won't even know what hit him!" said Callie with determination.
Marie couldn't help but smile once she saw her partner in crime return to her cheery and upbeat attitude.
"That's the spirit Callie! now come on, we still have to do the news" said the white tentacled inkling as she left the cabin, followed by her black tentacled cousin.
[Vault zone]
[45 minutes after Nary was freed]
The squid girl found herself sitting in front of a table in what appeared to be a cafeteria, although somewhat unkempt, she looked around the whole place curiously, even the ceiling.
But then she heard a dish being placed in front of her, instantly catching her attention.
Nary looked down to see what it was, and her eyes grew wide once she saw that it was a steak with mashed potatoes and ketchup on top of it.
"I don't know what you people eat... So I made what I thought would be best" commented Drake sitting in front of her, with the same dish as hers.
"Here, you'll need these to-..." Drake offered a plastic fork and knife to the inkling, but she took them off of his hand before he could finish his sentence, and then started to frantically gulp down the food on her plate.
Drake was impressed at seeing her eat that way, he even wondered if they all ate like that or if she was just that hungry.
But he ended up not paying any mind to it and decided to focus on his own plate.
[Nary's POV]
I never thought that this thing would have food similar to the one in Inkopolis.
When I decided to follow him, I had no idea about his intentions, but not like I had any other option.
But thanks to those chocolate bars and this delicious dish, I think it was a good idea to do that.
I kept devouring the food in front of me like a maniac, not even caring if that Drake guy was looking at me.
What? If you were as hungry as I was in that moment, and then someone brought you something like this, you'd be doing the same thing.
Though there's something that doesn't seem to leave my mind... If this is a cafeteria, or at least I think it is, where's the others like him?
But my thoughts were interrupted once I saw him stand up from his seat, leaving his food half-eaten.
"H-hey! Where are you going?" I asked him, to which he turned around to look at me and said something that of course, I couldn't understand, but he made some signs that I interpreted as "be right back".
Somewhere around two minutes later he came back with two cups and some napkins I think.
Drake placed one of the cups in front of me and took the other with him.
I took the cup with both hands, only to see that it was filled with water.
I carefully brought the cup to my lips and took a few sips of it.
(A/N: In case you didn't know, inklings CAN drink water, but just a few sips at a time, if they were to just gulp it down... You know what would happen. And it also has to be fresh and clean water)
When I looked at Drake, I was impressed to see that he was just gulping his water down without being affected by it.
After putting the cup down onto the table, I saw Drake offering me a napkin.
After using it to clean my face, I saw that it was completely covered in ketchup and other leftovers.
I couldn't help but laugh nervously while scratching the back of my head. I really made a mess without even realizing.
But my little act was cut off by the little floating thing suddenly appearing behind me, making me jump out of my skin.
But doing that caused me to shake the table, making Drake's cup tilt over and spilling its content all over him, followed by him exclaiming something in his language with an annoyed tone.
Without thinking twice, I quickly grabbed some napkins and climbed on top of the table to try and dry where the water had spilled.
"I-I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! It's just that your friend, and he startled me, and...!" I said as I kept drying the wet spot on him.
But just then, something clicked in my head.
I was on top of the table in all fours, way too close to Drake, and putting my hands where the water had spilled, which was... Right in his crotch.
I slowly lifted my head to look at him, and he was staring at me completely puzzled and speechless, while also blushing a little.
Once I finally realized what I was doing, my face turned redder than a tomato.
And as if that wasn't enough, I felt a bulge right below my hand, which was where I was previously... Drying him.
[Drake's POV]
Just what the hell is going on?
Bruce shows up behind the girl, she gets scared, my water spills on top of me, she climbs onto the table and then tries to dry my crotch while saying something in her language.
I couldn't do anything but just stare at her putting her hand on my crotch as everything unfolded, only for my eyes to drift away and end up on her round butt, wiggling it from side to side as she kept drying.
But then I felt how her hand stopped moving, making me put my eyes back on her.
I saw Nary slowly lifting her head, just staring into my eyes, followed by her face turning completely red.
But it was also a moment of betrayal, since I felt my... 'Friend'... Waking up by itself right below her hand.
We spent what was probably the longest minute in our lives just staring at each other without even moving a muscle.
Until Nary snapped out of it first.
"UWAAH!" she yelled as she quickly backed up, only to fall off the table, leaving her feet in the air.
But she instantly stood up, while putting her hands in front of her and repeatedly exclaiming something in her language.
Which of course I didn't understand, but judging by her gestures, I think she was apologizing.
"H-hey, calm down, it's alright" I tried to calm her down while also putting my hands in front of me.
But Nary just kept rambling in her language, and I kept trying to calm her down in mine.
It kept on going for a while before both of us finally stopped and stared at each other in the eyes.
And almost in sync, we both looked away with a little blush in our faces.
"I-I better pack things up..." I said without looking at her.
"Huh..." was the only thing I heard coming out of her, as if she understood what I said.
[POV: Third Person]
Drake slowly started to pack everything on the table while Nary sat back down.
She was looking at her right hand, same one she had touched Drake's 'package' with, sometimes making a groping gesture with it while she gulped and turned red in the face, but also feeling somewhat curious.
But she was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard the human sitting in front of her, now with Bruce besides him.
Nary couldn't help but glare at the robot, maybe because it was its fault that she got into that predicament from earlier.
"Don't worry... I already scolded it" said Drake as he looked at the robot, Bruce looking away from the human in response.
"Now... Please... Could you talk to me in your language?" he asked, only getting Nary to lean her head to the side in confusion.
"You... Speak... With me" continued Drake as he also made some gestures to see if she could understand me.
But the inkling just blinked a few times, still staring at him.
"Argh... Told you, Bruce... This is gonna take a while" commented the human as he sighed and scratched his head.
[Vault doors]
[Present time]
While Drake was trying to make a conversation with Nary, outside the vault, the same scientists that once went inside of it had come back to it, now with even more guards than before.
Shining their flashlights, all they could find was the new door that it now had.
"He made it..." Binz muttered as he stood in front of the door with a serious look on his face.
"What do you think we should do?" asked Jenny, making the rest of the scientists look at him attentively.
"There's only one thing we can do right now..." replied the old inkling, turning to look at the rest of his team, which were waiting with anticipation for his response.
"We wait..." finally said Binz, leaving everyone completely puzzled.
"What did you say?" Jenny asked to her uncle.
"The only thing we can do right now is just wait until those doors open" concluded the leader of the science team.
"But are you sure that those doors are ever going to open, doctor?" now asked another scientist next to Jenny.
"Hey what if we just make another ho-..." proposed the same guard that originally found the way through the first door.
"Not this time young squid... If you all look carefully, this door isn't in a condition as bad as the one from before... And also... The ancient one will have to come out sooner or later, I calculate that due to the passage of time, this vault must have very few resources" said Binz with a serious tone while crossing his arms.
"What are you suggesting, doctor?" asked Jenny.
"We will set up a camp in this cave and wait for the doors to open" concluded Binz as he turned to look at it.
[Inside the vault]
[An hour and a half later]
In a completely dark room, an automatic sliding door was opened, letting the light from outside flow into it, two shadowy figures could be seen standing in front of the door, one taller than the other.
"Well, this is where you'll sleep for the time being" said Drake as he turned the lights on.
It was nothing out of the ordinary. A somewhat unkempt room with white walls, a bunk bed and a nightstand with what Nary thought was an alarm clock.
A very advanced air conditioner, and another door close to the bed.
"And in case you need it, here's the bathroom" said Drake as he opened said door, revealing the bathroom behind it.
Nary just looked around the room, before staring at Drake.
"Umm... You... Sleep... Here" the human repeated himself, pointing at Nary, then making a sleeping gesture, and finally pointing at the bunk bed.
Once Nary understood what he meant, she entered the room and sat on the bed.
Drake smiled after he saw Nary getting comfortable, and then followed with a big yawn.
"Bruce, any idea what time it is?" asked the human, moments later the floating robot materialized in front of him.
"According to the current temperature and time elapsed... I calculate that it should be around 1:30 in the morning, sir" replied Bruce.
"So late...? Well... I suppose I should also go to bed then" said Drake as he walked out of the room.
"Hey, uhh... Nary... My room's at the end of the hallway if you need something... Me, end of hallway..." he told the inkling, only getting a confused look from her.
"Argh... Better just leave the door half-closed" commented the human to himself, finally leaving the room.
Once he left, Nary quickly ran towards the door and saw him talking to his assistant.
"So... You got everything you need?" asked Drake leaning against a wall.
"It is not much, but it may be enough to make a prototype, until then, we need to build a better relationship with your 'guests' " suggested Bruce.
"Well, I'm starting to 'sympathize' with the orange tentacled one..." said Drake making quotes with his fingers "But the red tentacled one... I think I might have some trouble with her" he continued, staring at the floor thinking of something.
"And perhaps you could also feed her tomorrow, it would be a shame if she died... But it would also be an opportunity to-..." Drake quickly interrupted Bruce.
"We are not going to dissect anyone, Bruce, even less so if it's an intelligent being, is it clear?" he scolded the robot with a serious look on his face.
"I understand, sir. Sorry for suggesting that" the robot replied instantly.
"It's fine... So, when are you starting?" now asked Drake as he got off the wall.
"Right about now, sir. Do you need anything else?" said Bruce.
"Nah, just don't forget to recharge your batteries" he suggested as he walked to his room.
"Sir, I have been on my charging station for 5.000 years, my batteries will surely last more than one night" joked the robot as it floated down the hallway.
Drake just let out a little chuckle at Bruce's joke and headed back to his room.
Seeing Drake approaching, Nary quickly hid behind the wall besides the doorframe while the human entered his room, not before leaving the door half closed.
The inkling stared at the door Drake had gone through for a minute, then she stared at the floor and went back to her room.
[One hour later]
Nary wouldn't stop rolling around on her bed in an attempt to fall asleep, but her head was filled with doubts, questions and thoughts that wouldn't let her do that.
What happened to her friends and the Squid Sisters? Are they ok? Did they fight that octoling squad? Were they looking for her? Was she ever going to get out of that vault?
Those were just some of the questions that kept circling around her head, until she remembered something that made her wake up instantly and sit on the edge of the bed.
"Dang it, I forgot to ask him" Nary thought out loud as she climbed down the bunk bed ladder, since she was sleeping on the top mattress.
She slowly walked out of her room and approached the door that led into Drake's.
Once she got close enough, the door suddenly opened by itself, startling the inkling a bit.
And still, she cautiously entered the room, and although it was dark, she noticed that it wasn't that different than hers, though the air in there felt calmer, and the bed where Drake was sleeping was a regular one instead of a bunk bed.
Nary took a few steps before stopping besides it and kneeled down moments later.
"Drake... Drake..." said the squid girl while poking the human's cheek with her finger.
"Are you asleep?" she continued, still poking at his cheek.
Drake just slowly moved until he ended up sleeping on his back, lightly surprising the inkling, thinking she had woken him up.
Nary was about to try to wake him up again, until her eyes drifted onto a slight bulge in Drake's inferior zone, which was noticeable even with the bedsheet on top of him.
With a bit of curiosity, she moved towards it, and carefully moved the bed sheet aside to see what it was.
She instantly turned red in the face when she noticed that said bulge was in fact Drake's 'package', who was wearing nothing but his underwear.
Nary would've normally just gone back before something embarrassing happened, but curiosity was taking the best of her at the moment.
She gulped and looked at the human, checking if he was still sleeping.
(A/N: warning, from here on out we'll get into freaky territory, if you're not interested in this type of scenes, or prefer it to just not happen, consider this the end of the chapter, the next couple of scenes will be nothing but raw freak material all the way to the end, enjoy 7u7)
Nary climbed onto the bed, carefully sitting between Drake's legs, and then putting her hands on his boxers.
She slowly started to lower them, being as careful as possible to not wake him up, up until the point where she could see the base of Drake's member.
Now somewhat nervous, she kept lowering them until she finally saw it.
The squid girl was impressed at the sight of the human's penis, which had a good size to it even if it wasn't erect.
Something in Nary's mind was telling her to stop, but she wanted more.
With a shaky hand, she grabbed the human's member, and just as she saw in that one SquidTernet page Shara once sent to her, she moved her hand up and down, wondering if she was doing it right.
Nary leaned her head to the side to look at Drake, and to her relief, he was still sleeping.
"Heavy sleeper, aren't you?" she commented, still looking at him.
But then she felt how Drake's cock had started to grow in her hand, making her put her eyes back on it.
And as Drake's manhood kept getting harder, the inkling's eyes grew wider with impression at its size.
Nary wondered if all human males were like that or if Drake was just 'gifted'.
Now with Drake's 'tower' fully erect, Nary didn't know what to do, until she remembered something she had wanted to do since she saw that video on the SquidTernet.
But she wanted to do it with someone she really trusted. She wouldn't ask Levin or Nayls for it either, to her, the blue tentacled boy was like a big brother, and the violet tentacled one was just a good friend and nothing else.
But Drake... She thought he was different. And she also had to finish what she started.
Putting her hands back on the human's member, she was impressed at the heat coming out of it, and a few moments later she shyly started to lick it.
The sleeping human could feel how something soft and wet moved around his private zone, making him dream of something very intimate.
The inkling kept stimulating Drake's shaft with her licks up until she reached the tip of it, she then stared at it with curiosity.
While the tip of an inkling's penis had a narrow head and looked more like a tentacle, Drake's was wide and round.
Nary then clumsily brought her mouth close to the human's member, wrapping it around her lips and moving her head up and down.
"I-I don't think it's going to fit in my mouth" she thought as she closed her eyes, tasting every bit of Drake and using her hands to massage the base of his shaft, moving them up and down.
As she picked up the pace, she slowly went deeper and deeper, up until she had half of it into her mouth, she couldn't make it any deeper, since the tip was already reaching into her throat.
Feeling needy as well, Nary took one of her hands below her shorts towards her intimate zone, and started to pleasure herself as she continued her labor.
Once the squid girl finally took Drake's member out of her mouth, she wrapped her long tongue around it.
(A/N: In case you didn't know, both inklings and octolings have tongues twice as long as humans, if not longer, they're really soft and more mobile as well 7u7)
Now completely covered in her spit, the inkling put the human's cock back into her mouth and went as deep as she could go, wrapping her tongue around it at the same time.
Drake's breath had started to become more and more agitated as Nary continued, whatever he was dreaming about was starting to get more... Intense.
Nary's mind was now in blank, she had even started to go faster and more vigorously, filling the room with wet sounds and moans from her.
Drake, who had surprisingly slept through all of it, was panting and letting out a few soft moans, feeling himself getting closer and closer to his limit, his whole body starting to tense up as well.
On the other hand, Nary kept pleasuring herself, slowly getting closer to her 'breaking point' as well.
But she didn't stop there, the orange tentacled girl didn't even give herself a moment to breathe, completely focused on sucking that big and hard piece of meat the human had on himself.
The warmth of it inside her mouth just made her want even more.
The poor human couldn't contain himself any longer, and without previous warning, released his load into the unaware inkling's mouth.
Nary couldn't do anything but open her eyes and feel as Drake's warm semen filled her mouth.
With her eyes gazing upwards completely lost in pleasure, Nary swallowed as much as she could, also reaching her climax.
Drake released so much that she couldn't keep his cock in her mouth and ended up moving her head away from it and making a "Pwah!" sound as her tongue hung out of her mouth.
Three last ropes of semen landed on Nary's face as Nary gasped for air and moments later Drake's body finally relaxed, one could say he now looked more relaxed than before.
The squid girl, still catching her breath, stared at Drake's cock as it slowly reduced in size until it went back to how she had found it.
"It tastes weird... And it's white" was the only thing the inkling commented, she then wiped some of Drake's semen out of her face with her finger and put it in her mouth while she closed her eyes, now feeling more relaxed.
But just then, something clicked in her head, making her open her eyes once again.
"H-how am I going to clean all this!?" Nary asked to herself, looking at the 'mess' she had made.
