I can't believe I'm making a new fanfiction. Of course this is Shamy fanfic. My brain always makes me ideas even though I'm not really good making stories.
btw this story is a bit ooc and also a AU of course.
Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper, a young theoretical physicist during the 18th century, an archaeologist and also the only sole heir of the Coopers. One day during one of his biggest trips, Sheldon heard a rumour that somewhere in this land where he is right now, there is a treasure chest buried in a cave with golds and other valuable item, at first he didn't believe it because they are nonsense but his scientific curiosity kicked in and became curious about this chest. He doesn't care about the golds but the items themselves.
"Dr. Cooper are you sure this is the right place?" Asked by his assistant.
"Yes Dave it is, Don't you trust me?" Sheldon asked curiosity.
"All the years I've known you, yes because you easily lost." Dave murmured
Sheldon just rolled his eyes and just entered the cave with Dave. Dave was his assistant for almost 8 years. He's been with Sheldon's side when they were young since Dave's family have been serving the Coopers for almost a decade. He was trained to be Sheldon's butler or assistant by his grandfather. If anything happened to his parents, Dave would be Sheldon's side. At first Sheldon wasn't happy about this tradition because why they cannot just hire someone new if the other one is gonna retire? but his father's assistant explained the reason why they do not allow strangers in their household.
Apparently, the 1st Cooper helped the Gibbs family to pay their big debts and because of that they almost imprisoned. The 1st Cooper said that he doesn't mind if the Gibbs don't pay the money they owe but the Gibbs insist on returning the favor. The 1st Cooper just sighed in defeat and said "fine since you insisted so much. Every generation of the Gibbs family first son or grandson will only serve every heir of the Cooper." With that every 1st son or grandson that was born from the Gibbs family they are obligated to work along with the current assistant of the Cooper family at the age of 12 years old.
At the present
"We are almost there..." Sheldon murmured
"Dr. Cooper I think see something" Dave whispered
"What is it?" Sheldon asked
"It looked like a rectangular box?" Dave replied
"Let's take a look"
Sheldon and Dave slowly walk towards a box that looks like a rectangular box. They saw the rumored chest. Sheldon touched the chest.
"Dr. Cooper be careful." Dave said worriedly
"Geez Dave relax, I will open this but there's no puzzle or riddle to this. Boring"
Sheldon slowly opens the chest and tells Dave to be alert if there's a trap incoming. After Sheldon opened the chest, he immediately covered his half of his face because of the gold shining.
"Dave look at this... I can't believe it, the rumors are true" Sheldon said in awe
"I can literally buy a big house with this huge amount of gold if you ask me" Dave said
Before Sheldon could say anything he noticed a gold ring that for some reason the ring telling him to put his finger. Sheldon out of nowhere he immediately takes the ring and observes it.
"Dave look at this." Sheldon whispered
"ring?" Dave looked at the ring and observed every corner of it and gave it to Sheldon back. "I just read about this ring" Dave said
"What is it?" Sheldon asked
"This ring that makes you immortal" Dave answered
"Immortal? How curious..." Sheldon whispered
Sheldon noticed that there was something engraved on the ring "Futurum est in manibus tuis?" Sheldon said.
Without hesitation Sheldon slowly put the ring to his finger.
"Dr. Cooper I don't think it's a good idea–" before Dave could stop Sheldon putting the ring, there's a yellow light coming from the ring. It is too late because the ring is already in his finger.
"What was that–" Sheldon raised his hand and looked the ring to his hand "not gonna lie this ring is good on me" said smiling.
"Dr.Cooper a-are okay?" Dave asked while he was breathing fast.
"Yes." Sheldon said nonchalantly
"What have you done!? Why would you put that!" Dave complained
"What? I was just curious if the is even true" Sheldon frowned.
"B-but you will immortal!" Dave said nervously
"But isn't that great!? I could see all the evolutions especially on science!" Sheldon said excitingly while look the ring on his finger. Sheldon loves science more than anyone.
He didn't believe about love If you ask him love is just a waste of time. if you ask him to choose between Science or a pile of gold in front of him, he would still choose science.
okay this is just a sneak peek of my new fanfiction because I want to finish my first fan fiction although I can post both stories if I have time but right now probably the chapter 4 of "Opening the Future" might take awhile since I'm awfully busy lately.
might change the rating in future chapter cuz you know mean ;)
