XCOMJ chapter 8
The warehouse was silent as few entered the building this time of night; we came to a muddy pile moving itself on the floor. The pile lifts up and forms itself into the infamous Clayface. Clayface was the name he had been given when he appeared yesterday in Wayne industries. After making a mess in the building Batman sent out the Team to find him.
They had combed through Gotham in search of him. At one point they had found him in the sewers. Until they saw him enter the warehouse, seeing an opportunity the Cold-Blooded suggested they trap him by freezing him.
The team leader Aqualad didn't seem to focus on the suggestion and just nodded to my plan. Robin and Kid Flash keep an eye on Clayface while everyone else sets the trap. Clayface was walking through the dark warehouse, thinking he was hiding from prying eyes.
Cold-Blooded nodded as Robin turned on all the lights and SP-5 used Blinding Protocol, flashing high power lights, blinding Clayface.
"Aaaaa" CLayface yelled, holding his eyes, a national human response to getting blinded.
With him blinds Kid Flash, Miss Martian and Superboy. Start to put crates and other objects around him, using their speed, telekinetic and strength respectively. SP-5 flew away by the time Clayface got to his senses he looked to see he was surrounded by crates and structures all around him.
"What the…" before he could speak, high pressure water hit him, sending his mass on the ground. Aqualad uses his water to push and contain Clayface, using the objects around Clayface as a focus to keep Clayface contained.
Clayface tries to get up but the force of the water keeps him down and the crates surrounding him keeps him from moving.
Kid Flash, Miss Martian and Superboy all push the objects around him to keep pressure on him as Aqualad manipulates the water into a shape to keep him contained. Both Cold-Blooded and Robin were on top of crates near Aqualad who held his water stick in Clayfaces direction.
Cold-Blooded and Robin both threw a Frost Bomb at him, Cold-Blooded lent Robin a Frost Bomb to help contain Clayface.
Clayface looked up to see Robin, Aqualad and a Snake guy as both Robin and the Snake guy threw something at him. Clayface tries to escape but both the water and the crates around keeps him pressured and the crates limit his movements.
Both Frost Bombs explode on impact and start to freeze Clayface.
KKKKKKBBBBBBAASSHH
The team all stop what they were doing and move the crates to see a frozen Clayface, both the water and small space kept all of him contained.
"Look at the art piece we made," Kid Flash said, looking over it with his speed.
"I give us an A for his capture" Robin smiles high fiving Kid Flash as Superboy just grunts and Miss Martian let out a giggle. Cold-Blooded turned to Aqualad to see him looking down.
"Hey, Aqua" Michael called out to him, getting his attention
"You good?" he asked with concern with the team leader.
"I'm….. Fine, thank you for asking" Aqualad said in a down tone, as I looked at him.
"You sure, cause if you need a break I can take over" Cold-Blooded asked him seeing how the team followed his plan to freeze Clayface.
"I appreciate the offer but we must report to Batman, '' Aqualad said but turned to see Batman standing behind him, scaring him a bit. As Batman narrows his eyes at the scene before him.

After capturing Clayface Batman sends everyone home but Aqualad stays behind, might be to address his lack of leadership during the mission as Cold-Blooded accidently took over when getting everyone to capture Clayface. Poor guy might need a break after putting up with a group of teens facing life and death in missions.
Michael and SP-5 headed back to the Avenger with no problems on the way. As he drives up to see the engineers repairing the Avengers, the gears for the wings look almost finished and now starting on the second one. Thank whatever god for Cyberdise Constructors otherwise I'd pay a fortune for the right construction vehicles needed to fix his ship.
Riding inside Michael can see everything come together; the pay from the justice league is putting to good use but it still not enough. Getting off the motorcycle and storing it in the bottom hanger Michael went to his room to change out of his Serpent suit.
Getting back in casual clothes Michael went to the bar to fix himself some lunch. Passing through the hall he saw Cyberdises fixing the place and a few engineers working on the hulls. Passing by them he headed for the bar.
Seeing through the bar he sees Dr Sterling, the Engineer having a drink and while LookOut is flouting nearby talking to them.
"Now darling your laser cutter on those nano machines by itself would be amazing in a practical way, why make laser cutters that cut through steel to cure cancer?" Engineer asks Dr Sterling who sighs at the question.
"The purpose for the fog was to study the human body on the inside and gather data from within" Dr Sterling explained as Engineer raised his eyebrows behind his goggles.
"But how do you make a machine that steals data from other devices if it was only supposed to get data from the human body," He asks "that's like using a chainsaw to trim some flowers" he said looking confused as now Sterling looks thoughtful for a second.
"I may have wanted to get data then put it straight on the computer, but I ended up adding more than it realistically needed" She said now thinking why make drones that cut through anything and steal data just to study the human body.
"Darling when you make something, you have to be practical in what you making" Engineer explain "if I wanted to kill someone trying to kill me I wouldn't make a laser or exploding rocket fist, I just build a turret that fires bullets" Engineer explain how keeping thing simple is the best way to go.
"Sadly most people are immune to bullets nowadays," Michael said, surprising the two with how deep they were in their conversation.
"A little warning would be nice" Dr Sterling said looking scared of Michael for a second, she still jumpy after being targeted by assassins and faking her death didn't put her mind at ease.
"How long have we been talking?" Engineer asks, looking at the clock.
"Your conversation was 1 hour, 23 minutes and 5 seconds" LookOut answered as single her eye looked at both Engineer and Sterling.
"That was rhetorical, shiny," Engineer said looking at the talking sphere.
"Oh I apologise for answering" She said looking at the Commander going to the kitchen.
"Is everything in order Engineer" Michael ask as he turn on the Bio-printer on the ship
Turns out the Advent Burger wasn't made of humans like some more people said. Everyone loves the taste but no one knows where the meat comes from due to cows and other animals not seen.
Some theories say it is either human meat or alien meat but actually it is a form of very advanced Bio-printer technology. These Bio-printers take blood and small portions of meat, and then they add other elements for the meat to grow and add in the taste to make it eatable.
It explains why there are no cows or other animals needed to farm due to the amount of space they need to farm, now they can just grow meat from a drop of blood and you can never tell the differences, hell some say it has a better taste and better for the animals.
XCOM and everyone else make heavy use of Bio-printers to feed everyone, even the alien's diet.
Michael uses the Bioprinter to make some meat patties for him to grill.
"You guys want something to eat, I'm making burgers?" I asked the two as they nodded.
"I didn't know you cooked, I'd thought you had a cook bot or a butler to do it for you" Dr Sterling said in surprise thinking the commander had everything.
"I can cook for you if you want?" LookOut said she loves cooking meals, but someone has to be there to help her.
"I learned how to cook when I had to leave by myself, plus I hated military rations," Michael said, grabbing a few paddies and putting them on the grill.
"Protein bars taste awful, what I would do for a nice home cooked meal on the field" Engineer said smelling the meat cooking.
"What's the status of the Avenger?" Michael asked the group as he started flipping the burger with his Psi abilities, shaping and moving the burgers till they hit the right texture.
"The left engine is nearly completed and the beginning steps are taken to fix the right one, estimated the Avenger would be airborne in 3 months" LookOut explained as I think about the money I got from the Justice League.
"We're going to need more funds for the second engine though" Engineer said as he and Sterling watched Michael cook the meat with Psi abilities.
"We are going to need another source of income then" Michael said looking at the burgers as he grabs the salts and spices needed for the burger.
"How about sending your research out to health companies all over? The amount of information on the human body is astonishing," Dr Sterling said, having access to some of the data gained from XCOM, including the amount of data on the human body.
"Now giving information like that would get too much attention to the only quiet place in the world" Engineer said knowing that not much happens in Australia.
"Beside when you made something new, you got kidnapped by eco terrorist" Michael reminded Sterling who grunts at the reminder, while the information would be beneficial to everyone but there just too many people that would use it for less than beneficial reason. Giving more information on the human body might give villains ideas for super soldiers or something worse.
Michael flips the burgers one more time before flipping it one more time. Using his Psi ability to get the buns, cheese and sauces, Engineer and Dr Sterling watch in amazement as the food floats and comes together before their eyes.
Michael sat down as all four burgers finished before them. One for each human and one for the floating sphere to eat.
Michael grabbed his burger as Engineer and Sterling started to eat their burger. They love the taste and the meal there.
"If you want to make money you have to enter a hard market, businesses that have no competitors due to how hard it is to enter like Lex corps or Wayne enterprises. They have little to no competitors in their city due to being too big" Engineer said about making a business.
"So I need something that people can make, afford and have heavy competitors" Michael said as he starts to eat the burger, making some food will help him think.
"Thank you Commander, I never got an Advent Burger before" LookOut said using her tentacles to absorb the burger, her way of eating.
"Don't let Bradford hear you" I joke, seeing how Bradford hated Advent Burger, finding wrapping in the Avenger. Michael was about to take another bite but stopped.
He looks at the burger he just made before turning to Engineer and Dr Sterling enjoying the burger even LookOut loved the burger. Then he looks at the Bio-printer, knowing the technology was made before Advent took over and the science of it is easy and anyone can use it.
"LookOut you're a genius," Michael said, taking a big bite of his Burger.

Michael made a few calls and set LookOut to research any facticity that could do the job. It will take time to start a fast food restaurant but in time it will be worth it. Ironic that Advent will help XCOM, with fast food.
Michael made his way to the cells in the Avenger. The cells are small but give enough room to move around and stretch, there is a comfortable single bed and table, even a toilet and shower as well. All build in and can pop out in the cell. The cell was guarded by 2 SPARK units that have non-lethal weapons like the H-Discharger V3, a large non-lethal shock cannon that incapacitates enemies in an area of effect. The gun has no ammo but needs to be charged and SPARK can charge it fast with the right modification.

In the cell Michael can see a beautiful woman doing push-ups, this woman is Rose Wilson AKA Ravager, daughter of Deathstroke and a dangerous person in her own right. After she was knocked out Michael had Rose put into a cell after taking all her weapons and armour off her, leaving her in her undies? Lucky XCOM has some prisoner uniforms just in case.
"Like what you see" Rose said not even looking at Michael as she starts to do the splits and reach for her toes, showing her flexibly.
"I would be lying if I say no" Michael said honestly as Rose smiles at him while still doing her stretches.
"So when am I going to jail?" she asked after waking up finding her weapons and armour goon and in a cell, she thought she was in prison until I came in.
"So you can bust out of it, no I don't think so" Michael said knowing how prisoners escape far too much in any type of jail, at least here Rose won't do much damage.
"Am I your prisoner? You goanna interrogate me" She said seducible as she shakes her ass at Michael, making Michael grunt.
"For now you serve some time here" Michael said trying not to look at her ass, as Rose just pouts at him.
"You're going to answer some simple question?" Michael said as she looked coy at him.
"Why do you come in here and we can talk all night?" She smiles at him but Michael doesn't burg.
"Should I worry about you father?" Michael asks, knowing that Rose is Deathstroke's daughter so should XCOM be preparing.
"Please daddy couldn't care less about me" She said, frowning at the mention of her father as Michael noticed.
"But you wear his colours and style of weapons, you want his attention" Michael said knowing Rose copied Deathstroke to get his attention and show everyone she is his daughter.
"What do you know?" She said, angry about Michael bringing up her father.
"I know that your father doesn't care for you and is most likely using you as a tool not a daughter" Michael said as Rose gets angry.
"You know nothing asshole, you don't do the shit I had to do to get this far" She yelled at Michael who wasn't moved by the anger.
"You're currently in a cell that a location no one goes to" Michael said as she just grins.
"I'll get out, one way or another" she smiles before going to the bed in her cell to lie down.
"By the way, where did you get the nth metal swords?" Michael was interested in the material.
The Nth metal is incredible; the metal can modulate gravimetric fields and adjacent effects for various purposes. Such as allowing the wearer to carry objects 20-70 times heavier than what they normally could, or even fly. Explains how Hawkmen and Hawkwoman can fly with their body structure and wings not being biology able to carry the weight of a human body. The metal can generate a heat, and can somehow enhance the user's ability and negate different types of energies like magic and psi energies as well. Which explains how Rose can keep up with me seeing I'm really a super soldier in my own right but her training and sword were able to match me. It's also shown to heal people seeing that Rose was already healed by the time she was put in the cell. LookOut found the metal fascinating and I agree with her.
"I know a guy," She said with a smile, not telling me much.
"So not from daddy then" Michael said see Rose frown to prove it's not from Deathstroke.
"Black-market then" Michael said thinking about where to buy more of this Nth metal.
"Thank you for your cooperation" Michael said leaving her as she looked at him in surprise.
"What?" She looked confused at Michael as he started to leave.
"Let's do this again next time" Michael said leaving her with the SPARK who stands guard as Rose looks confused.
"Don't be too long, '' Rose called out, hoping to mess with Michael and get him to come back soon. She is pretty bored here and the cell is a little hard to get out of, not to mention the robots that never sleep and can't be tricked.
Michael learns quite a bit of information on Rose Wilson and about Deathstroke himself. Anyone willing to use anything, even his own daughter to further his goals is a very dangerous man. Michael knows he needs more income to get more technology and weapons from what this world has to offer, the enemy slowly getting stronger. So should XCOM and maybe Ravager can be more helpful then he first thought.
