XCOMJ Chapter 9
In the sandy desert of Bialya a burst of psionic power burst out of the ground revealing Cold-Blood, and his snake like hood matching the colour of the desert thanks to OctoCamo, a smart camouflage that could, within moments of coming into contact with almost any surface, replicate both its pattern and texture, made by XCOM for camouflage and easy colouring individual uniform of XCOM soldiers.
Cold-Blood was pissed off, how a psi attack can get him. He trains against the strongest enemy psionic being from his dimension, he needs to practice more. Maybe do more offensive stuff with Megan or something.
Thank god Cold-Blood found a way to prevent himself from getting Mind Control or Dazed. Whenever a psi attacks past his mental defences he uses his Psionic energy to make a hole in the ground and cover himself in Stasis Shield to prevent himself from getting controlled and hide himself underground.
Cold-Blood lets out a breath as he thinks about what just happens. Looking around, seeing the sand everywhere and all over him as pats himself to get rid of all the sand, shit gets everywhere.
Rolling his neck, he stretches out his limbs. Looking at his wrist watch to check it's 6.09am, and they arrive here at 11. So they been here for seven hours,
"Shit" Cold-Blood thought to himself hoping the other didn't get captured.
The mission was supposed to be simple. The team heads to Bialya to investigate a weird energy signal that popped up a few days ago.
The energy source was big enough for the Watchtower to detect it but couldn't identify it. So Batman assigned them a mission to locate the energy source and find out as much information as possible. Putting the bio-ship in camouflage mode, it was too easy to sneak into a rogue isolated country.
Absolute radio silence was ordered so upon landing in the county due to legal rights with the UN about the Justice league coming here, honestly if shit happens in your country you can go to the UN and say Justice League no go. Which just screams evil dictator committing war crimes, but that's for another day.
Miss Martian set up the mental link, which allowed everyone to communicate without breaking radio silences thanks to telepathy. The mission was going well. Superboy put the heavy device on the desert and Robin did his thing. I should have brought SP-5 but she needed it on the Avenger, so I'll copy the data later.
Miss Martian was sent on ahead to scout the enemy's camp. She was given the go ahead with her camouflage ability and phasing.
Cold-Blood felt someone try to psi hacks the mental connection. The moment he sensed the foreign presence he used his own psi ability to break the mental connection. Unfortunately, it backfired as the presence sent an psi attack on the mental connection, which hurt him as his body automatically Phase walk away and into the ground then using Stasis Shield to hide and protect himself.
Now he woke up hours later and here he is, in a desert in Bialya. Michael was sure this country didn't exist back home. Cold-Blood double checked his gear to see nothing was missing as before pulling his mask up to keep sand blowing at his face.
"Ok Michael, you need to find everyone, collect the data then get the hell out of this piece of shit country" Michael said to himself as he looked around for his teammates.
Cold-Blood knows the team fucked if the Psi presence has anything to do about it. The enemy Psionic probably already told everyone in Bialya about the team being here. If the team was captured then he had to recuse them, but if they're dead or Cold-Blood can't bust them out then Cold-Blood will have to complete the mission by himself.
As much as Cold-Blood hates leaving a man behind he knows sacrifices must be made, if you are not willing to sacrifice your men to a cause you have no business leading a battle.
Everyone on the team knows the risk of being on the team. These missions are not games. Anyone can die on every mission. If you're not ready for it then you shouldn't be out here.

"Hey," Artemis could hear someone talking. Probably her mom trying to get her up for school.
"Wake up," the voice yelled.
Artemis opened her eyes slowly to send her mom the stink eye. That is until a thought occurred to her. Her mom didn't sound like a boy.
And now that her eyes were opened she realized that her mom also didn't have red hair. Or could walk.
"Who are you!" Artemis gasped as she rolled away and was immediately on guard.
"Hey, it's ok, I won't hurt you," the boy reassured, trying to make himself look as friendly as possible. Kind of hard to do wearing an all-black outfit.
"I'm one of the good guys," He explained before pointing to the logo on his chest. "You know, Kid Flash,"
"Your Kid Flash?" Artemis questioned. The speedster nodded. "I don't believe you," She said seriously. The speedster looks down at the response. "Besides he doesn't wear black,"
"A little unclear on that myself," Kid Flash answered looking down at his outfit in confusion. Was this supposed to be an improved suit or something? Looks better than the yellow she'll give him that at least.
"What about you? Green Arrow fixation?" He asked, looking at the outfit the girl was wearing.
He wasn't really complaining about the view though. Artemis looked down and saw the outfit she was wearing.
"Who put me in this?!" She shouted in rage looking up at Kid Flash. This looked like something her sister would wear?!
"Wow," Kid Flash chuckled. "I am not touching that with a 10-foot-uh- So, you know how to use that bow?" He asked to change his statement as he saw the glare he was receiving.
"Yeah," Artemis answered. "My dad taught me," She muttered. Then her senses came to her. "Dad! He must have done this," She growled. "Another of his stupid tests," She said the last word venomously.
"What kind of test?" Kid Flash asked.
"He probably wants me to kill you," The blonde answered bluntly.
Then they heard the whistle. Well not really a whistle. It sounded more like a rocket as Kid Flash grabbed Artemis and sped the two of them out the small shack. A few seconds later the missile hit it.
"Don't let them escape!" Soldiers ordered.
The two turned to see soldiers coming at them in a couple of trucks.
Artemis freed herself from Kid Flash's grasp and got to work. She fired off an arrow taking out one of the jeeps wheels. She watched in satisfaction as it crashed into the other jeep pushing them into the wall putting them out of commission. The soldiers weren't done however.
They left the ruined vehicles and began firing off bullets aimed at Artemis. But before they reached her a black blur sped in front of her.
She wanted to scream out a warning but stopped when he opened his hands. And bullets began falling to the ground.
Ok so maybe he really was Kid Flash.
"Ah," He hissed out as he shook his hands. "I don't know how he does that without feeling anything," He muttered thinking about how he had seen his mentor catch bullets like they were nothing. That seriously hurt!
'Or make it look easy,' He thought. He quickly sped forward and took out the soldiers.
"Well that was a thing," He said walking over to Artemis. Artemis chuckled. It was a nice moment.
Until the tanks came.
Artemis looked ready to go for round two but Kid Flash had better ideas.
"Sorry," He said, picking her up bridal style and speeding off. "They've got bigger arrows," To prove his point he dodged a few missiles launched at them.
"Thanks," Artemis muttered looking back at the destruction.
"Don't thank me yet," Kid Flash said. "The whiplash is gonna be killer,"
"Either way thank you," Artemis said as they sped away.
"Like I said good guy," Kid Flash said. "Now, not to pry, but what's your name? Oh, and what's this about you killing me?"

Biayla soldiers search the area, trying to find the heroes trespassing in Biayla. As the Sergeant looks around the area from his jeep as his men search the area.
"Anything?" The Sergeant questions his men as they search the area.
"Nothing sir" the soldiers said as they all returned to the jeep to continue their search elsewhere. The sergeant looked to see one of his men missing.
"Where Private Dan?" he questions the soldiers as they look around not seeing him. He narrows his eyes at them.
"Search the area" he orders as his men begin to fan out as he stays on the jeep looking around for anything.
He looks around, not seeing any of his men or anyone else. He was about to relax but someone grabbed his neck and choked him.
"Mmmmp Mmmp" a hand over his mouth stops his screaming as he tries to break his chockers grip but the chockers was too strong as he passed out due to lack of oxygen.
Cold-Blood looks at the Sergeant he choked before putting him on the seat.
"More men are coming" Cold-Blood thinks as he turns on the car to drive to search the area faster.
He already knocked out a few soldiers and the sergeant after going to the original campsite, only to find it abandoned.
So he took out a few soldiers while searching the area, honestly Cold-Blood doesn't understand the no killing rule. He understands not every cat burglar deserved death but the more dangerous villains that can't reform or are unable to return to the community due to their powers or mental illness.
There would be far less villains in the world if the Justice League permanently silenced a few of them. But that's just his opinion.
A familiar presence fell Cold-Blood mind, feeling the team's left over connection he turns the car to find them. It takes him five minutes to find the source.
Lying on the ground behind a large rock is Aqualad, looking very dehydrated. Cold-Blood checks Aqualad's pulse, seeing Aqualad's alive but barely. Yeah Aqualad shouldn't have come on his mission due to his water background. Cold-Blood grabs his water bottle and makes Aqualad drink it, Aqualad drinks the water and Cold-Blood pure water over his skin to keep him hydrated.
Feeling another familiar presence near them, Cold-Blood turns to see Superboy jumping around.
"What the hell are you doing?" Cold-Blood thought about the jumping Superboy as he carries Aqualad on his shoulders and follows Superboy and tries to calm him down with his Psionic.
As Cold-Blood gets closer the sounds of fighting and gun fire fill the air, as Michael looks over to see SuperBoy getting captured by Biayla soldiers thanks to his Depth Perception mod.
The soldiers are using steel cables to bind Superboy's arms, but the clone is fighting back. The cables must be strong if Superboy doesn't just break the cords.
Feeling another presence Cold-Blood turns his head to look as a man wearing a hood steps forward. The man lowers his hood to reveal nasty pale white skin and a visible brain see through a clear dome over his head, with some strips of skin over the dome. Three red lines are seen on each cheek. He must be the Psionic at attacking the line.
Cold-Blood watches as the man gives a simple command and Superboy stops struggling and falls face down unconscious.
"Yeah it's definitely him" Cold-Blood thinks. While Cold-Blood could save Super-Boy he can't do that while holding on to Aqualad who's looking worse due to the heat, he needs to find the others and regroup. Besides, they can't hurt Superboy and they can always fix him with Megan and his help later.
As Cold-Blood takes Aqualad to the car to find the others.

Robin ducks under a dune of sand, he is following a GPS marker he planted and is now lending him straight to this location. He spots a large machine.
'That explains why I placed a GPS marker here,' Robin thinks as he looks around and notices that the place is deserted. He leaps down landing next to the machine. The moment he touches down on the sand several soldiers burst out of the sand with weapons trained at him.
"The Queen wants him alive!" one of the soldier orders as all the soldiers surrounds him ready to take him captive.
Robin smirks as he drops a couple of smoke pellets. Black smoke fills the area blinding the soldiers. Robin expertly moves around in the smoke taking out two soldiers. Spinning around he tosses a couple of bird-a-rangs knocking the gun out of another soldier. The smoke begins to clear as Robin delivers a spin kick taking out a third soldier.
"Strew this, open fire!" another soldier said as the Boy Wonder flips backward to avoid a barrage of bullets.
"I'll take those!" A high speed blur rips the guns out of the seven soldier's hands. Kid Flash comes to a stop dropping the weapons. Robin smirks upon seeing a familiar face. The two work together in perfect tandem to take down five of the soldiers.
Robin is about to attack two more when a telekinetic force sends the two soldiers slamming into each other. One of the soldiers tries to make a run for it but an arrow sails through the air bursting open to shoot a net out capturing the soldier.
"KF good to see a familiar face" Robin smiles reaching for a high five,
"Hey Robs," Kid Flash smirks, the two slap hands. "Memory loss?" he asked the boy wonder.
"Six months, let's hogtie these guys and compare notes," says Robin, as It takes a few minutes to tie up all the soldiers.
"So does anyone know what is going on?" Robin asks everyone present.
"She seems to have the answers," Kid gestures at Miss Martian, having met her early and seems to know about stuff, plus she is hot.
"Well, I don't know exactly what happened to make us lose our memories, but I do know that we are a team." Miss Martian smiles at them.
"I remember Batman telling me to keep radio silence. He must be our leader," Robin smirks, thinking he is the second in command of this supposed team.
"How do you know it is not my mentor?" Kid taps his chest. The moment he touches his uniform it changes to his usual yellow and red. "Whoa…" Robin and Artemis begin to tap their chests but nothing happens.
"We look ridicules" Artemis said,
Kid Flash keeps tapping his chest.
"Will you stop touching yourself?" glares Artemis. Kid Flash stops. "How do we get our memories back?" She asks the Martian.
"I can connect our minds together and use our memories to piece together everything." The world around them begins to change. It takes them into Miss Martian's mindscape where the team is surrounded by various images.
"I will have to go into each person's mind…" Miss Martian explains as Robin fills the rest in,
"To get information from each perspective right? Just do it." Robin is ready for it.
"You are going to look through all our memories?" Artemis looks nervous about her memory being revealed.
"No, just the ones preparing for the mission and the last six months." Miss Martian explains telling he won't go into any more private memories.
Kid comes up beside Artemis taking her hand. Artemis glances at him and he gives her a reassuring smile.
"Fine, but only the last six months and only what you need," Artemis said, giving her permission and Miss Martian nodded before everyone closed their eyes.
The team begins to remember Batman giving them a mission to Biayla. It continues on showing them landing in Biayla. Superboy placing the Machine and Cold-Blood scouting the perimeter, Aqualad giving out orders and then the world goes black.
The team is soon back in the real world with surprised looks. "Kaldur, Michael!" Robin gasps
"Forget Michael, we need to find Kaldur. Being out in a desert can't be good for a guy with gills," Kid Flash worries for his water breathing friend.
"We can search for the snake after we find Kaldur…"
"Right here."
All of them spin around to see Cold-Blood carrying Aqualad over his shoulder with a soldier's jack over him. Gently, Cold-Blood lowers Aqualad down on the sand as Robin and Kid Flash rush over to Aqualad.
"He is suffering from dehydration," says Robin. As Cold-Blood hands Robin water as he gives it to Aqualad.
"Been giving him sips and keeping him covered from the sun but he still hasn't regained consciousness" Cold-Blood explains having tried to revive him but his method doesn't work on an atlantean.
"Miss M calls the bio-ship." Robin called out for the Martian.
"It is too far out of range," says Miss Martian, as Cold-Blood looks at her, notice her behaviour.
"Can you telekinetically fly him to the ship?" suggests Kid. "If he doesn't get medical attention soon…" but Miss Martian shakes her head.
"I can't, I have to find Superboy. Six months ago he wasn't even alive. He is running on base instincts." Miss Martian said in worry, Cold Blood narrows his eyes at her.
"Superboy is invulnerable, Kaldur…" Kid Flash tries to explain but Miss Martian screams in pain as she senses Superboy in pain.
"Superboy!" Miss Martian is about to fly off, but a blow to the back of the head knocks her out cold. She falls forward onto the sand.
Robin, Kid Flash, and Artemis look at Cold-Blood in shock at what he did.
"She was panicking and would have got herself killed, now where is the bio-ship, we need to regroup" Cold-Blood said to everyone as he carries Miss Martian as Robin nods and begins to track the ship.
"It is a mile from our current location due east." Robin said as Cold-Blood nodded.
"Kid grab Aqua, I have a jeep up there that would cut the trip down" Cold-Blood ordered as he carries Miss Martian with Kid Flash grabbing Aqualad and they all head up a hill.
"Did you steal this jeep?" Robin asks to see a jeep full of guns.
"Yes, I did, now get in" Cold-Blood order as he puts Miss Martian in the back as he gets in the front to drive.
"Do you even know how to drive?" Kid Flash asked, looking at Cold-Blood as Artemis just shrugs and gets in the car.
"Yes and since Biayla a rogue state, I haven't broken any law or driving regulation, now scout ahead and insure there are no Biayla soldiers." Cold-Blood said as Kid Flash looks confused as Artemis gets tired of this.
"Just do it" Artemis said as Cold- Blood turned on the car and started driving to the location Robin said with Kid Flash looking confused before shaking his head and running ahead.

They made it to the Bio-ship as Robin stares down at Kaldur; He is lying on a bed hooked up to an IV. Kaldur's vital signs are beginning to stabilize; apparently he needs salt water to get stable.
Feeling relaxed knowing Kaldur is safe, he heads to the cockpit where Naruto, Kid, and Artemis are waiting.
"Kaldur will be fine," Robin reports as Cold-Blood nods as he accesses the computer of the bio-ship.
"Great, so now what?" Artemis folds her arms across her chest.
"Do we complete the mission, rescue Superboy, or call in the League?" Artemis questions as Cold-Blood brings out an image of the new enemy.
"The enemy is Psimon with a silent P for who the fuck knows why, a telepathy that hacked the mental link using it to wipe out the team's memories," Cold-Blood said updating the remaining team on what happen.
"Why do you still have your memories?" asks Robin, as Kid Flash laughs.
"Silent P mhmh" Kid Flash chuckles to himself as Artemis elbows him.
"I sensed Simon here trying to fuck with the link so I broke the connection. Tried to warn you guys but mental backlash from forcefully breaking the connection shut down my brain for several hours" Cold-Blood explained as Kid Flash munches on a nutrition bar to get his energy back.
"So where does that leave us?" Kid Flash asks the question as Cold-Blood brings up a map of Biayla. A red dot blinks on the map.
"That is the enemy's base, right now Superboy is imprisoned by his crack-head here. We are not going to leave him there for this peeper to steal vital information from his mind." Cold-Blood pointed as Psimon as Robin has a hard look,
"If they haven't done so already" Robin said gravely aware of the problem.
"Ok if we are going to rescue Superboy shouldn't we wake up Miss Martian? I mean she has telepathy powers to battle the psychic," Kid Flash suggested, only for Cold-Blood to shake his head.
"So do I, but Miss Martian is in too much emotional distress right now with Superboy in captivity, it better that she sit this mission out" Cold-Blood said knowing that teammates with a Bond will react negatively if something happened to the other.
Artemis glances at the unconscious Miss Martian, while she wants to stand up for the alien girl, she also agrees with Cold-Blood. She blew up at Wally for almost getting them killed while hunting for Kent Nelson and Miss Martian almost did the same thing to Aqualad.
"He is right. She acted no better than you when we were at the Tower of Fate," Artemis to Kid Flash gains a slighted look.
"Yeah but she is…" Kid Flash tries to make an excuse, but Robin cuts him off.
"Cold-Blood and Artemis are right. Miss M was about to rush ahead without knowing anything about the enemy. She had her mind wiped once and it could have happened again," Robin says coldly as he turns to Cold-Blood.
"We will do this without her. What is the plan?" He said to Cold-Blood as he nodded.
"The main threat is Simon here," Cold-Blood started looking at Kid Flash.
"Kid, you and I will cause a distraction, try to force Simon out of his hole, when he is out I confront him while you take out the soldiers." He then points to Robin.
"Robin, while everyone distracted you'll sneak in and find the location of Superboy and take all data you can find on what the kind of shit there were doing here" As Artemis narrows her eyes as Cold-Blood,
"What do I do?" She ask as Cold-Blood stares straight at her,
"You'll have the most important job, you'll help out all of use by rezoning the area from a distance and keeping an eye on all of our ass, and use your arrows to overwatch our flanks, take out any vehicle you see with those bomb arrows" Cold-Blood said as Artemis gets angry at the role.
"So all of you get in on the action while I watch from the side" Artemis exclaims as Cold-Blood stares coldly at her, making her silent from that stare.
"Artemis, I trust you to be our overwatch, your bow will take out any one that might stab us in the back, can I count on you? Cold-Blood asked her as she looked down.
"Artemis, none of us can fight a psychic attack. At least not in our current condition," Robin explains how the three of them are unable to fight a psionic attack.
"Hey I trust you, Cold-Blood right we are in trouble without you watching our ass." Kid Flash said to her as he agrees with Cold-Blood's plan. Artemis stares at Cold-Blood and nods.
"I'll watch your flanks," Artemis said as Cold-Blood nodded.
"There is one more issue," Cold Blood said looking at them.
"If Superboy is still in his infant state, don't free him." Cold-Blood said to them
"Great so we have to rescue Superboy without rescuing him?" Kid Flash groans,
"If we do free him that will just give us another enemy to fight. You heard Miss M, Superboy is running off animal instincts. So how do we subdue an invulnerable tank without being crushed?" They look at Cold-Blood. He has an idea but he knows they won't like it.

Superboy screams in pain as the scientists up the charge electrocuting the trapped clone. Psimon stands off to the side watching in amusement; honestly he expected so much more from the clone of Superman. Guess the copies are never as good as the original. The Light will reward him greatly for capturing the Superboy weapon.
Then a very powerful telepath power was felt from the villain. Explosions are heard from the tent, looking out the tent entrance Psimon closed his eyes and used his telepathy to scan the minds of the soldiers outside to see a blur hit the soldiers and a shotgun blast blind the soldiers. He sees the jeeps and tanks are set ablaze by an explosion.
"Looks like Superboy's friends have decided to show up," Psimon smirks as he goes outside to stop them.
Outside the tent, the Biayla soldiers panic and try to grab their weapons only black blur to pass around and steal their guns.
"You won't need these anymore," Kid Flash smirks as the soldier's get knocked out by him as he runs away with the guns and gets back to the enemy camp to cause more havoc.
Robin uses the confusion to sneak into the camp. The Boy Wonder smirks as the plan is going off without a hitch. He hides under some crates as soldiers run around in confusion; he explores the nearest tent only to find it empty, he keeps searching to find Superboy.
Cold-Blood shoots the Biayla soldiers with his Callow Ember with Tranq Rounds as Kid Flash knocks a few around with his speed and Artemis takes out the jeep and tanks with her bow and arrow.
Cold-Blood Rapid Fire each soldier to knock them out as he uses his Grapple to increase his mobility as he jumps from place to place and shoots each soldier.
"Cold-Blood that pale creep is behind you" Artemis said though the mind link Cold-Blood made, Miss Martian taught him how to do it, as he turns to see the pale creep coming to him.
"Ok I'm cutting the connection from you , if I'm frozen for more than 5 minutes take this pale bitch out while he faces me" Cold-Blood order though the mind link if something happens to him they take Psimon out as he turns to face him.
"Strange, I don't remember sensing your mind with the others." Psimon said, walking toward Cold-Blood as he removed his hood to show his exposed brain.
"Oh well, in the end everyone does as Psimon says." Psimon tries to mind control Cold-Blood but Cold-Blood shoots the sand, getting sand in Psimon's face.
Psimon growl in notice as sand get in his face
"Dammit, you will pay for..?" Psimon wipes the sand from his eyes to notice the snake man wasn't in front of him anymore.
"What the ? where you," Psimon looks around hearing hissing sound, he looks down to see a cobra hissing at him.

"Ahhh" Psimon jumps back in panic at the cobra, telepathy or not, you always keep your distance from poisonous snakes.

Psimon turns to see a few more snakes surrounding him, cobras and copperheads hissing angrily at him. Psimon gets angry and uses his power to throw the snakes away.
"Is that your power? Controlling reptiles?" Psimon called out to the snake person "Well it's not enough to stop…!" Psimon froze seeing something big coming.
This snake was huge compared to him, about 15 feet in length with camouflaging scales changing its desert like colour to a clear white with blue line patterns. It had a cobra-like head with black spikes, it had two arms of all things with tip claws to tear a man apart, and it was wearing blue armor and a crown on his snake head.

Psimon stared in shock at such a creature, as the Viper roared at his face knocking him down.
HHHHHHHIIIIIAAAAASSS
"NO, you are not real, you can't be" Psimon uses his power to blast it away as it lunges at him with its open maw as he saw all its teeth, only to vanish in icy mist in front of him. Psimon looks around, scared trying to find the Serpent that nearly swallows him full, only feeling the cold mist around him.
"Hahahaha, is that all you can do, make me see fake snakes" Psimon laughs in a trumpet as he searches for the snake like hero, so see his face in sorrow as he eases his mind.
FFFFOLLLT
Only to feel a tongue wrap around him as he's pulled into the mist, feeling the wind blow at his face as he sees he was wrapped in the tongue of the serpent he thought he defeated.
"AAAAAAHHHHH" Psimon screams as he is in the tongue of the serpent as it begins to wrap around him in its tail. The serpent wrapped tightly as Psimon let out a gasp in pain as he saw the Serpent head look down at him hissing.
"Thiiiiiss issssnn't reaallll" Psimon gasp for air as he feeling the cold scales crush his body and chock his last breath as he looks up to see the serpent open mouth encase his head.
Cold-Blood puts Psimon in a choke hold as he attacks Psimon both in the mind and body. Psimon let out a last breath as he passed out in Cold-Blood's freezing embrace.
Cold-Blood carries the body and puts him into the side as he turns to see both Artemis and Kid Flash finish off the last of the soldiers as he runs up to him.
"You got him" Artemis asks as she slides down the sand hill to meet them with Kid Flash running back to meet them.
"Ok all soldiers have left or incapacitated" Kid Flash bragged as Cold-Blood enter the mind link to call out for Robin.
"Robin, did you find Superboy?" Cold-Blood asks as Robin gave them this location.
"Yes, now come and help me, '' Robin asked as Cold-Blood and the rest went to the tent where they found all the scientists and soldiers out cold. Cold-Blood sees Superboy chain to a wall and a large metal sphere moving in a cage, beeping loudly for attention as Cold-Blood walks up to it.
"I had to shock him pretty badly to knock him out. I have no idea how long it is going to last," Robin says, seeing that Superboy is passed out right now with Kid Flash looking at him.
"Great that means if we free him and he wakes up before we reach the ship he is going to go crash us," Kid Flash complains as Cold-Blood looks at Superboy knocked out.
"I'll keep him knocked out until we get to the ship, Kid go grab a jeep we haven't blown up" Cold-Blood said as tossing the keys to Kid flash grabs it but looks nervous.
"I don't know how to drive" Kid Flash said as Robin just took the keys, because Batman taught him how to drive apparently.
"Finally get to drive" Robin grins about driving as Cold-Blood cuts the metal cage and releases the sphere as it starts rolling around then releasing Superboy's Shackles to catch him as the sphere rolled up to him as Cold-Blood looks at it.
"Where did you come from?" Cold-Blood asks the sphere-like machine as it beeps at him.
"What are you doing?" Kid Flash asks Cold-Blood as Artemis elbows him.
"Don't you know an AI when you see one, an alien on as well" Cold-Blood explains after seeing the exotic machine as he grabs Superboy on his shoulder and heads out with the Sphere following to find Robin outside driving the jeep.
"You're driving that thing?" Kid Flash asks as Robin grins at him.
"I finally get to drive" Robin smiles as both Artemis and Cold-Blood get in the car with Superboy and the sphere behind.
"How come I don't?" Kid sees no room for him as Artemis looks at him.
"Why do you need a ride, you can run faster than this?" Artemis asks as Kid Flash looks shocked.
"I want to drive too" Kid Flash sulks as Robin drives the jeep with an alien sphere and a reluctant speedster following.

Cold-Blood, Kid Flash, Robin, Artemis, and Miss Martian stand in front of Batman after reporting the mission. Batman stands directly in front of Miss Martian with his famous bat glare.
"You allowed your emotions to cloud your judgment which could have led to the death of a teammate and your capture. Personal feelings towards each other are to be dealt with on your own time, but when you are on a mission you work as a team not on personal desires." Miss Martian lowers her head with tears in her eyes. The Dark Knight walks away from the Martian. He turns to face the other four members.
"Being able to regroup and come out with a plan even when the deck is stacked against you is something few are able to accomplish. The mission may have been a failure, but you gained a new level of trust and teamwork. That is a success on its own," Batman states as Kid Flash and Robin bump fists.
"Dismissed." Batman dismisses them as everyone takes their leave. As Cold-Blood check is wrist to see the information about the mission
"Wait," Artemis rushes to Cold-Blood as he looks at her curiously.
"Why did you choose me? Kid makes a better scout and Robin is the detective" Artemis asks me as Cold-Blood looks at her.
"We all have our skills Artemis, it takes a keen eye to be an archer" Cold-Blood compliments her as Artemis's smile.
"Take pride in your skills and trust others have had. I trust you to watch our ass" Cold-Blood nods as her as Artemis smirks as he watches Cold-Blood leave. Happy to know someone on the Team trusts her.
Meanwhile Cold-Blood looks at the data Robin got from the mission; Queen Bee has been funding a new kind of teleporting technology called "Boom Tube". Looks like the villains are trying to make their own Zeta-beam transport, but looking at the sphere AI it looks like the Boom Tube is alien tech only.
Queen Bee herself could be a member of the Light or a pawn; either way this group has a third war country at their disposal. What else could they have? Cold-Blood ponders as he enters the Zeta-beam to home.

Psimon looks down facing the surround monitors of the members of the light. Feeling ashamed of his action he lifts his head to face them.
"The Martian girl escaped with both the sphere and the Superboy" Psimon said to the Light members.
"That hardly matters, the test of our new partner's new delivery system truly matters" A female voice said as Psimon turned to see the camera rolling on the desert as a portal opened with a boom and out comes the sphere like device.
"More tech will come, tech that will make the sphere and even Superboy obsolete" The female voice said a Psimon smirk looking at where the voice came from only to gasp at what he saw.
"No no no stay away, stay away from me" Psimon walked back in horror much to the confusion of the Light members.
"What are you crying about, stupid head" A bitching voice said but Psimon isn't listening, and starts to panic.
"NO No don't come any close, no no stay away" Psimon backs to the corner to hide his face to the shock and confusion of the members.
To Psimon he sees the Serpent, watching him, flicking it tongue out at him. Looking ready to pounce and devour him whole. It opens its mouth to let Psimon see it maul.
