I

An Awkward Moment-Chapter Three

"My lords and ladies...rip these mice apart!" Daniel ordered the wolves with a wave of his hand.

The snarling wolves bared their teeth at them.

"Vinnie, protect the ladies!" Throttle told him.

The white mouse immediately got in front of the three women shielding them with his body.

Throttle took out his blaster while Modo aimed the laser cannon on his cybernetic arm at the wolves.

"Modo, fire at will!" Throttle told them.

"I'd rather fire at the wolves!" The larger mouse replied.

Throttle slapped his hand to his head at the absurd answer. But he didn't have time as the wolves came charging at them. The laser blasts struck some of the wolves' feet making them retreat. But more wolves kept charging towards them.

"We're gonna need our partners for this dance, bros!" The tan furred mouse yelled to his two bros.

All three mice put their forefingers and middle fingers into their mouths and whistled. Their bikes crashed through the window. The mice got on their bikes. Charley got on with Vinnie. Vivica rode with Throttle while Aunt Agatha rode with Modo.

"Now, let's get this party started!" Throttle cried out.

"Ahwoooooo! Time to whip some tail!" Vinnie crowed, fist in the air.

"Rockin' and a-rollin'! My kind of party!" Modo cheered.

The three mice punched, kicked, and stomped the wolves away from them. Several of the wolves, mostly male, were beat up bad. But some of wolves decided to attack the mice on the sides and behind them.

Throttle happened to turn his head as the dangling silver earring in his ear gleamed by the light of the full moon beaming from outside. At the sight of it, all of the wolves backed up.

"Aaaaah!" Vivica screamed, jumping off his bike and pulling away from Throttle.

She fell to the ground gasping for air. The same thing happened to Charley. Aunt Agatha put her hand in front of her face as if to shield it from something.

"I can't breathe." Charley gasped out.

"What's going on?" The three mice asked with puzzled looks on their faces. They were glancing at each other then at the three females pulling away from Throttle.

"It's that." Vivica pointed at the tan furred mouse's earring, "It's made of silver. We wolves can't stand silver. It can hurt us."

Daniel staggered back at the sight of the silver earring.

"My lords and ladies, retreat!" He yelled, then to the mice, "This isn't over! Not by a long shot! We will meet again!"

He transformed into a wolf and jumped out the window followed by the other wolves who frantically scrambled to get away. Charley, Vivica, and Aunt Agatha kept their distance from the tan furred mouse leader.

"They're gone." Throttle said.

He quickly removed the dangling, silver earring and placed it in a drawer. He then closed it shut. Charley, Vivica, and Aunt Agatha stopped gasping and got up.

"You ladies okay?" He asked.

"Yeah." Charley replied.

"They'll be back. Daniel won't stop at nothing." Vivica said.

"Then we'll be ready for him. We already know that he and those wolves are not a big fan of silver." Throttle said.

"Neither are we." Aunt Agatha said.

" If there was only a way to keep them out...If we could cover this building with silver, that might do it." Charley said, thoughtfully, finger under her chin.

"But what about us? We're not immune from it, Charley. What's to keep it from harming us?" Vivica asked.

"We could use gas masks or some kind of face mask to protect our noses so we don't breathe it in." Charley replied.

"Great idea, Charley-girl. Now if we only had some silver." Vinnie said.

"I'll do you one better, genius. I spoke to Stoker the other week and he told me about an experimental paint he was working on. He said it contains silver that he found in one of the extinct volcanoes on Olympus Mounds on Mars." Throttle told him.

"You think he could ship some to us along with some gas masks?" Charley asked.

"I could ask him."

"You guys know about Mars?" Vivica asked.

"We're from Mars."Throttle replied.

"Incredible." She breathed.

...

Meanwhile, Daniel and the other wolves met outside the forest in an area surrounded by statues and large trees. Daniel sat in a large iron chair.

"Rayford, come forward." He said.

The wolf man approached and bowed to Daniel.

"My lord..." He said.

"Rise. You were supposed to bring me the woman Charley after you turned her. Why didn't you do it?"

"W-Well, uh, I meant to." He faltered.

"You failed me, Rayford. There are consequences for failure." He told him.

"I'm sorry, Daniel. Forgive me." He bowed.

"Silence!"He waved at him.

"Please, Daniel. Give me another chance." He bowed, and pleaded.

Before Daniel could reply, guards ran towards Daniel.

"My Lord...We've detected trespassers in our forest." They said, bowing.

"Go with them to capture the violaters. Consider this your second chance. I won't tolerate another failure." He told him.

"Oh thank you, my Lord." Rayford said, bowing.

He transformed into a wolf and ran off with the other wolf guards.

...

"Watch it, you imbecile! That's very delicate equipment." Dr. Carbunkle told Greasepit.

The muscle bound ugly ape was carrying something that resemble a movie projector. He had just roughly plopped it down on the ground.

"Sorry, doc. But I needs me a break. I didn't eat me lunch." He replied.

"I'll break you if you damage my equipment, fool!"

"Now, you're sure this new invention of yours will shrink this forest down so I can ship it to Plutark, Doctor?" Lawrence Limburger asked Carbunkle.

"Indeed it will, Your Overrotundness. All I have to do is throw this switch and this forest will shrink to the size of a walnut. Then I hit this other button and it will automatically ship to Plutark." Carbunkle cackled.

"And the High Chairman will be so pleased that he'll restore my funding for the invasion of Earth back to me." Limburger grinned.

Suddenly, the machine was knocked over. Within minutes, the three villains were surrounded by the wolves.

"What is going on?" Limburger asked, looking around fearfully.

"Uh, it would appear, Your Butterfattiness, that these creatures are wolves." Carbunkle replied.

"I know that, you moronic dolt! Why are they here?" He asked.

Suddenly, one of the wolves transformed into Rayford.

"You're a person?" Limburger asked.

"I am a creature of the night. A skinwalker. And you, whoever you are, have invaded our kingdom. Take them to Daniel." Rayford told the guards.

There were too many of them to fight with.

Lawrence Limburger, Greasepit, and Professor Carbunkle were brought before Daniel by armed guards. The three villains were shoved to the ground and made to bow to Daniel.

"Who are you and why are you invading our kingdom?" Daniel asked them, "Answer me or die!"

"Boss, do something! I don'ts want to die!" Greasepit wailed, "I want me mommy!"

"Oh, shut up, you moronic buffoon. Let me handle this." Limburger replied, then turning to Daniel, "My dear fellow, I am Lawrence Limburger."

"I do not know you. You trespassed in my forest. Now you will suffer the consequences. My pack will hunt you down."

Daniel gave a wave of his hand. His guards took up the three villains.

"Wait! I can be useful to you. I can hunt down and destroy your enemies."Limburger pleaded.

Daniel held up his hand. The guards released them.

"Go on." Daniel said.

"You have enemies. So have I. Individuals who intrude upon my plans."

"Who are they?"

"Those marauding, meddling Biker Mice." Limburger said, taking out a picture of the Biker Mice and handing it to Daniel.

He glanced at the picture for a minute.

"These are the same creatures who oppose me as well as keep me from my bride. They are my enemies as well. I gladly give my consent, Limburger. And what do want in return for all this? My kingdom is at your disposal.

"I'll take money. Lots of it."

Daniel simply snapped his fingers. A guard produced a briefcase full of money. Limburger's eyes lit up as well as his mouth watered at the sight of it.

"Will this be enough?"

"It'll more than suffice, your lordship."

"Destroy these Biker Mice, bring me the woman called Charley Davidson alive and the money is yours." Daniel said.

And what of Vivica and her mother, Daniel?" Rayford asked.

"They helped my enemies. Now they shall suffer the consequences. They will be the prey in tomorrow night's hunt."

"B-but they are members of the pack. We-we can't kill them." He faltered.

"Would you like to share their fate?" Daniel asked him.

"No." He replied, head down.

"I thought so."

...

Stoker teleported a can of the silver paint that same night as well as the gas masks. The mice began painting the outside walls of the chocolate shop with silver. Charley, Vivica, and Aunt Agatha wore gas masks.

"You guys are amazing. And I love the silver look of the paint. It blends in nicely with the color of my front doors." Aunt Agatha replied, admiring the impressive paint job.

"It'll bring in more customers and keep out Daniel and his posse." Vivica said.

"These gas masks are a help, too. They keep out the gas fumes of the paint." Charley said.

"Well, we'd better get some sleep." Aunt Agatha said, yawning.

"I'm going to bed, too." Vivica said.

"Me, too. 'Night, guys." Charley said.

...

Later that night, Vivica got up and glanced out her window at the moon. There on a nearby hill stood a large wolf with his head extended up into the sky. He howled at least three times. Vivica opened her window and jumped out. She transformed into a wolf and outside towards the hill. She slowed down as she approached the hill. The large wolf turned to see her approach. He began transforming into Rayford. She transformed back into herself.

"I knew you'd come, Vivica." He said.

"What do you want, Rayford?" She asked.

"Daniel has hired someone named Lawrence Limburger to go after your motorcycle riding friends."

"My friends are more than capable of handling themselves. I'm quite sure they'll be able to handle this Lawrence Limburger with no problem."

"There is more. Daniel has labeled you and your mother traitors for helping the mice. You are to be the next prey in tomorrow night's hunt."

"He can't do this!"

"He is our leader. But I could persuade him to spare you both. I have his ear. He will listen to me."

"And what do you want in return?"

"Your hand in marriage. Start a life with me, Vivica." He exclaimed, grasping her hand in his own.

"Don't be ridiculous. I won't marry you!" She cried out, pulling her hand away.

"I would've thought you would've been more grateful. I'm offering you the only chance to save your life and your mother's. You may consider it a sacrifice but you'll come to see it as a pleasurable experience." He said, cupping her chin in his hand.

She pulled away and slapped his face. He chuckled.

"Well, there's only one way you can pay for that." He grabbed her and began pushing her up against a tree.

He then began trying to kiss her lips while pressing his body against hers. She began screaming and struggling to pull away. At this time, a tan furred hand reached out and thrust him away from her.

"That's enough, scumbag! If you can't respect a woman, I'll have to teach you!" Throttle said, activating his Nuke Knuckles and socking Rayford in the jaw.

The wolf fell to the ground, blood trickled from his mouth.

"I'll make mincemeat out of you, mouse!" He yelled, transforming into a wolf.

He came charging, fangs barred at the tan furred mouse. Throttle dodged out of the way and the wolf bumped into a tree. Throttle then shoved him down the hill. He went rolling and was seen stumbling away.

"You okay?" Throttle asked Vivica.

"Fine. Thanks to you." She replied, face blushing.

"Y-You're welcome." He replied, as his own face was flushing.

"Oh, you're hurt." She said, glancing at a small cut on his shoulder.

"It's nothing." He said.

"Come on, let me put something on it."

She led him into the bathroom. He sat on the side of the bathtub while she opened the medicine cabinet. She took out the first-aid kit. She squeezed out some healing ointment on the cut and then applied a band-aid. Her touch was so gentle it nearly took his breath away.

"There. How's that?" She asked.

"Better." He replied, "My bros and I will do everything we can to protect you and your mom from the pack, Vivica."

"Throttle, you guys have to leave Romania with Charley. See if you can persuade my mom to go with you, too. Daniel has hired someone-Lawrence Limburger to kill you and your two friends."

"So I overheard. But what about you?"

"I'll try to see what I can do about distracting Daniel and maybe this Lawrence Limburger clod long enough for you all to get away." She told him.

"I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you, Vivica." Throttle told her, placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Throttle..." Her hand touched his hand, eyes glistened like two shining stars.

"Vivica..." He stared back at her.

His face inches from hers. She moved her face towards his. Her lips touched his lips. Then he began kissing her back. She pressed her body against his. He backed up to the wall. Her bare hands achingly caressed his muscular chest. His black vest was down on his lower arms and soon dropped to the floor. His strong arms went around her. She sighed as his mouth hungrily kissed hers. Then he began kissing her neck and moved down to her breasts. She felt a breeze as she realized her blouse was unbuttoned. She moaned and sighed as he made love to her.

After an hour, he woke up naked in a strange bed. He turned to see a woman similarly naked wrapped in a sheet fast asleep. Throttle sat up in shock as he realized he was in Vivica's bedroom. What had he done?

"Bastard." He told himself.

He got up quickly. He found his clothes and quickly put them on and quietly stepped out. He made his way to the room he shared with his bros. They were sound asleep.

Throttle was in a fix. He had just cheated on his girlfriend.

The vidcom on his bike now came on. Carbine's image came on clear as a bell.

"Uh, Good evening, captain." He said, saluting her.

"At ease. What's all this good evening stuff? Is everything okay, Throttle?" Carbine asked him.

"Fine."

"I'm going to be coming to Earth. Stoker gave me the coordinates of where you guys are. I'm really looking forward to it. I've never seen Budapest, Romania. I've read it's breathtaking." She said.

"Y-You're coming here?"

"That's the plan, Mighty Mouse."

He groaned.

Talk about a mess.
