A Secret Alliance- Chapter Nineteen

Within minutes, Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie met up at Martian Command along with Charley and Carbine.

Hecuba rode behind Modo on his bike.

"' 'Thought I'd teleport Miss Hecuba home to Earth." He told the others.

"Speaking of which, that's where I've pinpointed where that distress signal is coming from." Carbine said, tapping away on her computer and pointing to the screen.

"Chicago! Limburger is up to something. I'll bet you a whole plate of chili dogs it involves ripping up Chi Town and shipping it to Plutark." Throttle replied.

"Lately, he's been after stuff like oil and gas. Remember when he tried to get the Road Ravens to steal all of Chicago's gas?" Modo asked.

The others remembered well. Limburger had been using a notorious group of thugs called the Road Ravens to rob unsuspecting truckers of their gasoline. Charley has just picked up a shipment of gas. She was driving a large gas truck back to her garage when it was struck from behind. She looked up to see a four wheeled truck ride along side her. He shot a wave of knockout gas through her open window knocking her out. When she came to, she found Vinnie on the ground with a broken arm and the truck's tank emptied of gas.

The Biker Mice were determined to stop them. Throttle and Charley disguised themselves as street punks and went undercover inside the Road Ravens' hideout. After survivong and winning a fight with the Road Ravens, Throttle became their new driver. Unfortunately, their cover got blown when Greasepit recognized Charley. The Ravens' boss Jimmy Mack and the oily ape then tried to kill them. It was a good thing Vinnie and Modo rescued them in time.

Throttle undid a hose on Jimmy Mack's truck and pulled the reverse valve releasing stolen gas onto the street causing it to crash into Limburger's building. Thus foiling the gas robbers.

"No sweat. We wiped the floor with those birdbrains including their jerky boss. We'll do the same to the Stinkfish." Vinnie said, arms folded and smiling smugly.

"I have a visual." Carbine said, adjusting the screen.

The Last Chance Garage came into place. Lawrence Limburger now stood in front of it. A new crew shot pictures of him while a reporter interviewed him.

"And so my plan to generate new jobs to benefit Chicago is under way. This spot is where my new shopping mall is going to be. It's going create the necessary capital to help the economy to thrive." He said.

"But, Mr. Limburger, doesn't a Miss Charlene Davidson reside there?" A female reporter asked.

"Miss Davidson has not been seen for a long time according to her neighbors. Technically, if a residence is not occupied for a while, it's declared, abandoned is it not?"

"Well, yes, if she has indeed vanished. But why hasn't anyone called the police? Why hasn't she been reported missing?"

"Unless...She left of her own free will. I'm afraid Miss Davidson is a very, disturbed young woman. She has had a habit of breaking the law. She was once arrested and imprisoned for trying to make an attempt on my life if you recall." He replied.

"Why that lying Reek Fish! He tried to frame me that time by making everyone think I killed him! And now he's trying to take my building?!"Charley shouted at the screen.

"Not to worry, sweetheart. We won't let that Rotfish tear down the Last Chance. And that's a promise." Vinnie told her, cradling her chin with his hand.

The auburn haired mechanic gave the white mouse a grateful smile.

"Thanks, Vinnie." She replied.

They all looked back at the screen.

"And so, ladies and gentlemen, we will began digging up this property tomorrow morning at eight."

"C'mon, bros, we got a garage to save. Let's-" Throttle began, fist in the air.

Then they heard the sound of a baby crying.

"Bro, you weren't planning on taking a baby into a fight with the Big Cheese, were you?" Modo asked.

Little Velo was strapped to a baby carrier that the tan furred mouse wore around his chest. The little mouse had been asleep with a pacifier in his mouth. His pacifier fell out and that's why he stated to cry. Throttle took him and began rocking him.

"I can't just leave him here unattended." He said.

"Not to worry, Throttle. I called in some help." Charley said.

She activated the dimensional portal. Vivica came through the portal.

"Mommee!" Little Velo cried out, reaching out as Vivica took him in her arms.

"And how has my little mansie mouse been?" She cooed, smiling and cuddling him.

Then straightened up turning to the others. Her smile now gone.

"I came as quickly as I could. But we all need to be on our guard." She said.

"Why?" Charley asked.

"Daniel's sister, Ondine, has stirred up the pack against us. She blames us for her brother's death and is looking for revenge."

"He caused his own death by ditching his people and leaving them to die!" Throttle exclaimed, "We had nothing to do with all that."

"I know. But we still need to be careful."

"No problem, sweetheart. We whipped those fur brains' butts before. We can do it again. But right now, we gotta stop Limburger from tearing down Charley's garage." Vinnie said.

"I've activated the portal." Carbine said, "It's programmed to take you to Earth."

"Helmets on and mount up." Throttle told Modo and Vinnie.

Throttle had already mounted his bike and was wearing his helmet. The two mice got on their bikes and put on their helmets.

"Wait for me!" Charley cried out, hopping behind Vinnie on his bike.

Vivica had brought her own baby carrier. She now put Velo in it. The child went right to sleep happily sucking his pacifier.

"I'll come, too. Perhaps I can get Ondine to see reason." She said.

She hopped onto Throttle's bike behind him. Her arms went around his waist.

"I feel like we're a little family. You, me, and baby makes three." She whispered, teasing.

A faint blush went across his face.

The sound of a chair loudly scrapping the floor got everyone's attention. Carbine slowly got up from her seat at the computer.

"Excuse me, I need a minute." She began walking away.

Throttle noticed her fists were clenched up and an angry look on her face. She definitely saw that whole scene.

"Carbine?" He began.

"I just need to be alone." She replied.

...

She went to her office and sat down, head in her hands.

"I know. It stinks, doesn't it?" Said a voice.

She looked up to see Ondine standing behind her door leaning against the wall.

"You! How did you get in here?" She asked, taking out her blaster and aiming it at her.

"Chill out, girl. I'm on your side." Ondine replied, hands in front and palms up.

"Yeah? You and your pack attacked me and my friends on Earth. Why should I trust you?"

"Because we both have the same enemy. Vivica has betrayed us both. She broke up your relationship with the man you love. She caused my brother's death."

"No. Daniel died because he abandoned his clan."

"That's what you've been led to believe. Vivica is a liar. She twists up everything. Look at how she was flirting with Throttle. She couldn't keep her hands off of him. I don't know how you can stand it."

At this point, Carbine was getting even more angry.

"I can't..." Carbine had lowered the gun.

She lowered her head. Taking fresh courage, Ondine came over.

She now placed her hand on the saddened general's shoulder.

"I can help you get back together with Throttle." Ondine told her, "Leave it to me."

"How?" Carbine asked, looking up, "I don't want anyone hurt."

"They won't. Oh, and let's just keep this between you and me. Agreed?"

"Agreed. And I meant what I said about no one getting hurt."

"Sure. Fist bump?"

Carbine looked at her questioningly.

"An Earth custom. It means an unbreakable promise." Ondine smiled, her fist out towards her.

"Fist bump it is." Carbine replied, placing her fist against Ondine's.

The wolf woman then leaped out the open window she had come out of and ran off.

...

"Carbine, you okay, babe?' Throttle asked her when she came back into the room.

"I'm fine."

Then he straighened up.

"Now let's Rock and..."

"Wait! I'm coming, too." Carbine said.

"One side, barracuda!" She shouted, shoving Vivica off the bike.

"Hey!" Vivica shouted, angrily, "Okay, witch, you"re officially taking things too far. This means war!"

"Bring it!" Carbine threatened.

"Hey, hey, hey...Ladies, break it up." Throttle said, coming between the two angry women.

"He's right. We have to stop the Big Cheese from tearing down my building." Charley said.

"We'll end it for now." Vivica told Carbine.

"Agreed." Carbine said, then to the others, "I set the coordinates to take us directly to the Last Chance Garage."
