Chapter 2
Mamoru and Usagi both started their second day of dinner at the table.
"Usako, It's our second time eating at the table together."
"Yes, Mamo-chan. What are we going to eat today?"
"We made soup. Just for the both of us, if you don't mind."
"I thought we are going to eat something luxurious?"
"Luxurious? No, We need to save money."
"But I like the steak!" Usagi wailed.
"I will make it if I soon have money, Usako. Steak in Japan here are so expensive."
"Soup is not enough!"
"Rei told me you ate a lot of oily foods these past weeks."
"But these fried chickens are really good!"
"I noticed that your lips are getting dry, and you got a bit acne."
"I slept early these days!"
"Besides sleeping early, your eating habits need to change. I'm really worried about you." Mamoru said as he pointed at the chicken bones in the trash.
"I'm toast."
"Don't worry, just check on your eating habits. And you're still young, Rei and the others are worried about you very much."
"So, when can I have a chance to eat fried chicken?"
"Probably once a month. It's better. You must keep yourself pretty. A girl with a lot of acnes is not worth it." Mamoru said.
"I guess you're right, Mamo-chan."
"I made chicken broth with cream, see if you like it. But! Eat slowly." Mamoru said as he pointed his finger on the ceiling.
Usagi and Mamoru both are at the table eating broth quietly.
"Mamo-chan, have you ever contacted Motoki san before?"
"Him? Well, I still have his contact number in my phone though. Let's see…"
Mamoru's eyes widened when he stared at the year when he last contacted.
"It's been 4 years since I contacted him…."
"I haven't contacted Naru also."
"The last time we met is probably the time when we are at the Parlor?" Mamoru asked, taking a bite of a piece of carrot.
"Parlor… I really forgot."
"Did you contact Naru?"
"I haven't, Mamo-chan. The last time I saw Naru chan is she was with Umino."
"I remember, they are really close."
"I wonder if we could call them now?" Usagi asked.
"Let's call them after our dinner?"
After a while, Usagi checked her phone, and found out Naru has a new post on social media, she said she was back from Japan.
"Oh my!"
"Usako?"
"Naru chan is back from Japan! So these years she went to overseas and study?"
"Haven't she told you before?"
"She hasn't. Mamo-chan, I haven't heard from her for a long time."
"The time is really hard for us, Usako?"
"Yes, Mamo-chan, That time….. We have to save you from Nehelenia and Galaxia."
"I really don't know what's going on, I'm still glad you have the long-haired guy as your partner."
"His name was Seiya."
"Seiya, I see. I remember he gave me a last word. He said he wants me to treat you well."
"He said that very clear, hope you won't forget the promise."
"I won't."
"Naru chan went to studies…. I was wondering if I could tell my story to her."
"Better not tell anything about me dying before, the Nephrite incident that she told you before, I'm not sure whether she still remember this."
"You're right, I won't ask her too much."
"But speaking of Motoki, I haven't heard from him also. Wait….. He's at work!"
Mamoru said as he showed the phone, which revealed Motoki, he is working as an assistant in a bookshop, posting how do he like his job.
"He's now at a bookshop."
"Bookshop, What about his old job?"
"That I don't know, Usako. I will call him later."
"Mamo-chan, how are you able to cook such tasty broth?"
"Practice, Usako. It's simple. Just follow what I'm doing."
"If I cook broth, would Naru chan be happy?"
"Of course she would, you need to let her know you improved, Just follow my steps, don't panic, and you would succeed."
"I will help."
"I would also let Motoki know the great news that I've graduated."
"Good to hear."
"The cream really hits the spot. I love that taste."
"Then should I add more to the taste?"
"I will teach you once if I have time, Usako. If you don't mind I teach you every day."
"Of course I don't mind, at least I have something to do." Usagi said.
"Then work hard, I know you can do it."
"I can invite Naru in sometime."
"I can invite Motoki also. I can let him know we started to cook; we can invite them more to our house."
"That's a good idea, Mamo-chan."
"Let's eat, the broth is getting cold."
The two continued to eat as they finished their plates and they washed.
"Naru chan had already been overseas and study. But too bad we didn't chat anymore."
"You don't have to blame yourself, Usako. I didn't have a chance to chat with Motoki." Mamoru said, washing the dishes.
"I think we still have time?"
"We have lots of time, Usako. Let's finish the dishes quickly."
Usagi and Mamoru then promised Naru and Motoki they would come to their house for dinner next week for their reunion.
I think I need to add some chapters to make the story livelier, to let other people know what happened to the other characters. Hope you guys like it.
