Chapter 40: Bubba Bubbaphant Vs PickyPiggy: Trials And Tribulations
PickyPiggy walked over to Bubba's house where he was outside of his house, sitting on the front step near the front door.
"Hey, Bubba, I'm here!" She said to him,
"Excellent." Bubba said, "Did, uhh, did you told Bobby that you were gonna be with me?"
"Uhhh, why would I say that? She probably knows I'm busy as well while she's busy."
"...I'll just pretend I didn't say that."
"Ok then, suit yourself."
"Anyways, shall we head inside? We're only going to my backyard to duel on the dueling field."
"I mean, technically we're going back outside…"
"Yeah, but still."
"Yeah, sure! Let's go! I got my Duek Disk and Deck ready!"
"Same for mine. Alright, let's get this done."
The two critters would then head inside Bubba's house, before heading outside into Bubba's backyard where a dueling field was at.
"Considering that I installed this field a year ago, this was our natural spot for duels." Bubba said, "But now here we are, using this again for the first time in a year."
"Time flies." PickyPiggy said,
"Yes, it has…"
"Well, don't worry about anything going on and worry about my new deck coming in hot!"
Bubba chuckled.
"Of course, Picky, of course." He said, "Ok, get into position."
Bubba and Picky would then go to opposite sides of the dueling field. They then started their Duel Disks up and shouted "Duel!" together to start the duel.
Turn 1. Picky went first. She looked at her new hand of cards.
"Well I'll be." She said, "I'm glad this hand looks promising. Gonna put it to good use."
PickyPiggy then played a Spell Card to start the turn.
"I'll start my turn off right by activating the Spell card, Traptantalizing Tune!" She started as she discarded a monster called, World Carrotweight Champion to the Graveyard from her hand, "By discarding a Level 4 Insect or Plant monster or a Normal Trap, I can draw 2 cards."
PickyPiggy then drew 2 cards from her deck to her hand and looked at her now refilled hand of 5 cards.
"Oh, I'm already ready." She said with confidence,
Bubba was silent as he was listening to what PickyPiggy is gonna do.
"I hope she knows what she is doing." He said to himself,
PickyPiggy then Normal Summoned a monster.
"I'll then Normal Summon Lonefire Blossom in Attack Position!" She said,
Lonefire Blossom was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 500 ATK Points.
"I remember this card." Bubba said, "Yes, you always use this card, huh?"
"Of course!" PickyPiggy replied, "So now I'm gonna activate Lonefire Blossom's effect!"
"Ok, go ahead!"
Lonefire Blossom was tributed.
"By tributing a Plant monster including Lonefire Blossom itself, I can Special Summon 1 Plant monster from my Deck!" She said as she searches for a specific Plant monster she wanted to Special Summon, "And I think I know the best one right now, so come on out, Tytannial, Princess Of Camellias!"
Tytannial, Princess Of Camellias bloomed onto the battlefield as she was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 2800 ATK Points.
"Now for World Carrotweight Champion's effect from my Graveyard!" Picky continued as she discarded Dandylion, "By sending another Plant monster from my hand or face-up on my field to the Graveyard, which now I'm sending it from my hand, I can Special Summon him back from my Graveyard!"
World Carrotweight Champion was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 1900 ATK Points.
"And now from my Graveyard, I activate Dandylion's effect!" Picky continued, "When being sent there, I can Special Summon 2 Fluff Tokens in Defense Position!"
Two Fluff Tokens were Special Summoned in Defense Position with 0 DEF Points.
"And then, I'll just set a card face-down…" PickyPiggy said as she does so in the Spell and Trap Zone, "And then I'll pass the turn to you, Bubba."
"Not bad." Bubba said, "Not bad at all. Alright, it's my turn!"
Bubba draws to start Turn 2.
"I'll start this turn off my activating Galaxy Soldier from my hand!" Bubba said as he discarded Cyber Dragon Herz to the Graveyard, "By sending a LIGHT monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon Galaxy Soldier in Defense Position!"
Galaxy Soldier was Special Summoned in Defense Position with 0 DEF Points.
"And now for Cyber Dragon Herz's effect from my Graveyard." Bubba said, "When being sent to the Graveyard, I can add 1 other Cyber Dragon from my Deck or Graveyard to my Hand."
Bubba then added Cyber Dragon from his Deck to his Hand.
"So I'll just add the vanilla Cyber Dragon from my deck to my hand for later." He said as his deck was then shuffled, "Now, I'll then Normal Summon Cyber Dragon Core in Attack Position!"
Cyber Dragon Core was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 400 ATK Points.
"When Core is Normal Summoned, I can add a Cyber Spell or Trap from my Deck to my Hand." Bubba said as he does so, "And I'll add Cyber Revsystem for me to activate right now!"
Cyber Revsystem was activated.
"And this lets me Special Summon a Cyber Dragon from my Hand or Graveyard, so I'll be Special Summoning the vanilla Cyber Dragon I just added a while ago!" Bubba said,
Cyber Dragon was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 2100 ATK Points.
"Now, I overlay my Cyber Dragon and my Galaxy Soldier to build the Overlay Network!" Bubba said,
"Oh boy, here we go!" PickyPiggy said, "An Xyz Summon, huh? Bring it on, pal!"
Cyber Dragon and Galaxy Soldier were used as Xyz Materials for an Xyz Summon.
"I Xyz Summon, Rank 5, Cyber Dragon Nova!" Bubba shouted,
Cyber Dragon Nova was Xyz Summoned in Attack Position with 2100 ATK Points.
"Now I activate Nova's effect!" Bubba shouted as he detach an Xyz Material from Cyber Dragon Nova, being Cyber Dragon, "By detaching a material from the monster, I can Special Summon a Cyber Dragon from my Graveyard, so I'll be–"
"--Hold on, just a moment!" PickyPiggy said,
"What? What is it?"
"I activate the Trap Card, Solemn Strike!"
Solemn Strike was activated. This surprised Bubba.
"A Counter Trap!" He said,
"That's right!" PickyPiggy replied, "By giving up 1500 of my Life Points, I can negate the activation of your Cyber Dragon Nova and destroy it!"
Cyber Dragon Nova's effect was negated as it was then destroyed and sent to Bubba's Graveyard alongside its other material, Galaxy Soldier.
"Impressive…" Bubba said,
PickyPiggy's Life Points were now at 2500.
"I was hoping to spice things up and use something that I haven't really used." She said,
"Well, that was impressive, but not impressive enough." Bubba said,
"Hmm? What are you talking about?"
"Well you see, you destroyed Cyber Dragon Nova with a card effect, which is where Nova's other effect comes into place, which lets me Special Summon a Machine Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck!"
"Oh crap!"
"You did well, Picky, but this is where the next part of this important duel of your's comes into place! From my Extra Deck, I Special Summon through Nova's effect, a monster that you'll never take down! Come forth, Cyber Eternity Dragon!"
From the Extra Deck, the Fusion Monster, Cyber Eternity Dragon was Special Summoned in Defense Position with 4000 DEF Points.
"Holy smokes!" PickyPiggy shouted, "4000 DEF Points?!"
"Correct." Bubba replied, "Let's see if you can take it down with whatever you have."
PickyPiggy took a breath like she had a long day.
"Hot damn." She said, "What a beast. There's gotta be a way for me to take it down."
"I'm sure you'll find a way." Bubba said as he sets two cards face-down in the Spell and Trap Zones, "And I'll make it harder for you by setting two cards face-down before ending my turn."
"Oh that's just downright rude."
"Sorry, ha ha…"
PickyPiggy sighed as she draws to start Turn 3.
Turn 3
Bubba Bubbaphant: 4000
PickyPiggy: 2500
PickyPiggy looked at the card she drew.
"Hmmm…" She wondered as she looked at Bubba's side of the field, "Bubba's Cyber Dragon Core is in Attack Position… If I attack, then he's got 2 face-down cards to try and counter my attack during the Battle Phase. I'm gonna have to play smart and take the long and safe route."
PickyPiggy then puts the card she drew in her hand to play another card, being a Quick-Play Spell.
"From my hand, I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Twin Twisters!" She said,
"Oh!" Bubba said, in shock,
PickyPiggy then discarded a monster card called Glow-Up Bulb that was in her hand since the start of the Duel.
"By discarding a card, I can target and destroy up to 2 Spell/Traps on the field!" She said, "And I'm gonna choose to destroy your 2 Spell/Traps set on your side of the field!"
Two twisters appeared to destroy Bubba's face-down cards, being the Quick-Play Spell, Forbidden Chalice and the Trap Card, Bottomless Trap Hole.
"Brilliant move, Picky." Bubba said, "I'm surprised as always."
"Appreciate it, Bubba." PickyPiggy said, "But I'm not done yet!"
"Go on…"
"I then activate the effect of my Glow-Up Bulb from my Graveyard!"
PickyPiggy then sends the top card of her deck to the Graveyard, being a monster called Spore.
"By sending the top card of my deck to my Graveyard, I can Special Summon the tuner monster, Glow-Up Bulb from my Graveyard back to my field!" She shouted,
Glow-Up Bulb was Special Summoned from the Graveyard in Defense Position with 100 DEF Points.
"Now, I'm gonna tune my Level 1 Glow-Up Bulb with my 2 Level 1 Fluff Tokens and my Level 4 World Carrotweight Champion!" PickyPiggy shouted,
A Synchro Summon between Level 1 tuner Glow-Up Bulb and the non-tuners, 2 Level 1 Fluff Tokens and Level 4 World Carrotweight Champion has started.
"The black roses will bloom under the moon to shine the night and evolve into a new dragon!" PickyPiggy chanted, "Synchro Summon!"
A big dragon made out of dark red rose petals emerges from the Synchro Summon.
"Now shine, Level 7, Black Rose Moonlight Dragon!" PickyPiggy shouted,
Black Rose Moonlight Dragon was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 2400 ATK Points.
"Now when Black Rose Moonlight Dragon is Special Summoned, I can target a Special Summoned monster you control and return that target to you!" PickyPiggy shouted, "So your Cyber Eternity Dragon is returned back to your Extra Deck with Moonlight Roar!"
"Oh!" Bubba shouted, surprised,
Black Rose Moonlight Dragon then roared as Cyber Eternity Dragon was returned back to Bubba's Extra Deck.
"Oh, that's not good for me." Bubba said,
"Alright, looks like it's time for me to battle!" PickyPiggy said,
The Battle Phase has started.
"First, Tytannial, Princess Of Camellias will attack your Cyber Dragon Core!" PickyPiggy said, "Camellia Thorns!"
Thorns came out of Tytannial as she pierced Cyber Dragon Core, destroying it and dealing 2400 points of damage to Bubba, leaving him with 1600 Life Points.
"Brace yourself, Bubba, because Black Rose Moonlight Dragon is gonna attack ya directly and wipe out the rest of ya Life Points!" PickyPiggy shouted as she pointed her dragon at Bubba, "Black Rose Moon Blast!"
Black Rose Moonlight Dragon then rose up in the air and shoots down a beam from its breath at Bubba, dealing 2400 more points of damage to him, draining his Life Points down to 0. PickyPiggy won the duel.
"Yeehaw!" She shouted, "That's what I'm talking about! Man, this deck sure is playable!"
Bubba was on one knee as he was trying to reclaim himself.
"Wow…" He said as he cleared his throat and got up while straightening his glasses, "That was pretty good, Picky. Your deck was good."
"Thanks!" PickyPiggy said, "This was all that I needed! However, I still need some improvements."
"Well whatever it is, don't take away any key cards that I find useful."
"Uhhhh, like what?"
"Here, let me help you. Let's head inside and I'll see what you need to improve."
"Gotcha! Thanks, you're alright!"
"Heh heh, it's nothing, Picky."
The two headed back inside Bubba's house to continue on with their day.
