Chapter 41: Normal Days Slowly No More?
DandyDragon was in the tournament after it was shut down. There, she was dueling RatedRat. It was the end of the duel as DandyDragon's Dragunity Arma Gram destroyed RatedRat's EvilTwin Ki-sikil while a new monster of DandyDragon's, Dragonmaid Sheou destroyed RatedRat's EvilTwin Lil-la, making RatedRat's Life Points go down to 0.
"Damn it!" RatedRat shouted,
"I told you your ego got the best of you." DandyDragon said, "And since I won the match, you promised me the chat we're gonna have, yes?"
"Fine! Whatever it is, I'll probably not care!"
RatedRat laughed sarcastically as DandyDragon sighed.
"You're gonna be careful with what you said and how you acted." DandyDragon said,
Later, the two critters were sitting across a meeting table from one another.
"Now listen here, RatedRat." DandyDragon said to her, "You need to add more security and quality of life improvements here. Two people were almost beaten to death and you used your stupid leadership powers to give someone a freebie and didn't even disqualify that same individual that tried to beat up one of the two victims of physical violence to death!"
RatedRat chuckled as she took a sip from a juice box.
"Dandy, listen to me, I can do whatever I want in this tournament." She said while wearing sunglasses,
"So you don't care, huh?" DandyDragon wondered,
"I do care, it's just I can do whatever I want and you can't stop me."
"Really now? What if I told you that you're currently being sued?"
"Say what?"
RatedRat took off her glasses as DandyDragon gave her a letter on the lawsuit being set by the officials of Duel Monsters.
"An employee of your's gave this to me for me to give to you." DandyDragon said to her, "You're dead meat."
RatedRat opened up the letter to see the lawsuit.
"Well shit." She said, "I need 1000 dollars?!"
"Yup." DandyDragon replied,
"I… I don't even have the money for it."
"Then I don't know what to tell you. Your problem, not mine."
DandyDragon got up as she headed to the front door, but RatedRat stopped her.
"Wait!" RatedRat shouted at her,
"What?" DandyDragon wondered,
"Please help me! Do you have any idea what this means for my online popularity?"
"Oh, believe me, the internet already knows, it's on the news and everything. Your reputation is already ruined."
"NOOO! Please, help me! I need the money! I don't want to get a job at some crappy fast food joint!"
DandyDragon looked at RatedRat as she had tears in her eyes.
"Finally breaking character, huh?" She asked her, "And since you're so desperate. I'll make sure you get the money."
"Yes! Thank you!" RatedRat said as she was about to hug her, but DandyDragon blocked her from doing so,
"Ah! No! You don't deserve a hug."
"But…"
"This is gonna be a ton of work for you to get the money you deserve."
"What do I have to do?"
"Simple. I worked at this business I'm currently working at for a year and I get a good chunk of money from doing work Mondays through Fridays!"
"School?"
DandyDragon chuckled a bit.
"It's not school." She said, "Come on, I'll show you, follow me."
RatedRat gulped.
"Ok…" She said, still emotional,
CatNap, DogDay and Holden meanwhile were having some ice cream.
"What a day." CatNap said,
"Yeah…" DogDay said,
"Well now that the tournament is over, we don't have to worry about anything bad now, huh?" Holden wondered,
"Hopefully…" CatNap replied,
Then, DogDay's phone started to ring.
"Hold on, someone is calling me." He said as he answered the call, "Hello?"
The caller quickly ended the call with DogDay.
"What the heck?" He said, "Why did the caller ended the call already?"
"Who called you?" Holden wondered,
DogDay looked at the number.
"An anonymous number." He replied, "I never saved this number before."
"Looks like a number that's used to scam people." CatNap said,
"Pretty much." Holden said,
DogDay sighed.
"Not gonna let that get to me." He said, "Let's see how our friends are doing."
"Ok." CatNap said,
"Thanks for having us around, Holden!"
"You too, you two!" Holden said, "And stay safe!"
After being out of the hospital and at home, Kickin was trying to call Hoppy again.
"Come on, pick up, Hoppy!" He said,
Hoppy's message went off.
"Hey, I'm not here. Please leave a message and I might get back to you in a jiffy!" The message said,
KickinChicken sighed.
"God damn it…" He said, emotional, "It really is over, huh?"
KickinChicken then lay down on his couch and sighed again.
"Fuck's wrong with me?" He wondered as he looked at his feathered hands, still emotional, "Seriously, why did I almost kill someone over my anger and my girlfriend breaking up with me?"
PickyPiggy was then leaving Bubba's house.
"Thanks for the improvements, Bubba!" She hollered at the front door as she left the house,
Then, she received a text from Bobby.
"Hmm?" PickyPiggy wondered, "Bobby texted me something."
PickyPiggy then looked at the text Bobby sent to her.
"Have you noticed something weird is going off around here?" Bobby's text read,
PickyPiggy was confused.
"No?" She texted, "Why do you say that?"
PickyPiggy was worried.
"I gotta go to her house." She said with confidence, "She needs company."
Later tonight, Wolf Wolfgang was sleeping on his bed as he had a card of GuardianDove's number. Inside his dream, Wolf Wolfgang was dueling GuardianDove as Wolf had Link-4 Shuraig The Ominous Omen while GuardianDove had a Rank 4 Vylon Disigma and a Level 9 Synchro Monster, Vylon Alpha. Wolf had 1000 Life Points while GuardianDove had 1500 Life Points.
"What do I do?" Wolf wondered, "I gotta win this duel."
Wolf draws to start a new turn and looked at it.
"Perfect." He said as he activated it, "I activated the Spell Card, Raigeki! All monsters you control are destroyed!"
"Oh!" GuardianDove shouted, in shock,
A giant lightning bolt came down and destroyed Vylon Disigma and Vylon Alpha.
"I still have my Swords Of Revealing Light." GuardianDove said, "And once your turn ends, my swords will be gone."
"Of course, thanks for the heads-up." Wolf said as he smirked, "Now, time to end this duel, I activate my face-down card, Call Of The Haunted!"
The Continuous Trap Card, Call Of The Haunted was activated.
"With this card, I can Special Summon a monster from my Graveyard back to my field!" Wolf said, "So I'm bringing back Bearbrumm The Rampant Rampager!"
Link-2 Tri-Brigade Bearbrumm The Rampant Rampager was brought back from the Graveyard in Attack Position with 1700 ATK Points, through Call Of The Haunted.
"And when another Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged-Beast monster is Special Summoned to my field, I can use Shuraig's effect to banish a card on the field!" Wolf said, "So say goodbye to your only Spell in your Spell and Trap Zone!"
Through Shuraig's effect, Swords Of Revealing Light was banished as the light swords faded away.
"Now to battle!" Wolf shouted as the Battle Phase started, "Shuraig! Attack GuardianDove directly, with Ominous Onslaught!"
Shuraig shot his weapon at GuardianDove, dealing 3000 points of damage to him and draining his Life Points to 0, making Wolf the winner of the duel. Wolf sighed in relief.
"That was a close one." He said as he went over to help GuardianDove up, "And you were a good opponent, GuardianDove."
"Appreciate it, my good sir." GuardianDove said, "Now that you won, I promise to give you details on what the future is like, starting with tomorrow."
"Ok, let's hear it, because I have a bad idea of these masked critters running around, slowly fading away from the normal and casual days we're all having…"
"Indeed, but starting tomorrow, two of your former students are gonna get kidnapped by different groups of masked critters."
"What?! Who are they?!"
