Chapter 1

The Sevestar Region, nestled between Hoenn and Alola, is a realm forged from the dreams and determination of its rulers, Sevestar Prince Ash Ketchum and Princess Alice Mache. Despite their tormented pasts, a fierce blizzard fatefully brings them together. From the storm's icy embrace, a secret relationship blossoms, hidden away from the prying eyes of the world. Here is where their story begins.

As the last rays of the sun dip below the horizon, Ash steps off the train in Pallet Town with Pikachu perched contently on his shoulder. Clutching his graduation certificate from the Pokémon School in Paldea, he takes a deep breath, filled with a sense of accomplishment and the comforting scent of home.

Pikachu tilts his head, surveying the quiet town. "Pika Pi!"

"Yeah, it feels great to be back, doesn't it?" Ash whispers, his voice a mixture of relief and excitement. He smiles, feeling the weight of the rolled certificate in his hand—a tangible symbol of his recent achievements.

The gravel path to his house crunches under their feet, breaking the evening stillness. The kitchen light spills out from his house, painting the yard in warm yellow hues, signaling his mother's presence inside.

As he approaches the door, it swings open. His mother, Delia, stands in the doorway, her eyes lighting up with joy. "Ash, you're back!" she exclaims, sweeping him into a hug that lifts him off his feet for a moment.

Pikachu leaps from Ash's shoulder to the floor, scampering around Delia's feet in excited circles. "Pikachu is happy to see you too," Ash laughs, his heart swelling with warmth.

Delia steps back, noticing the rolled document in his hand. "Is that what I think it is?" she asks, her voice tinged with pride.

"It is. I graduated, Mom. Officially done with school in Paldea!" Ash says, handing her the certificate to inspect.

Tears of pride well up in Delia's eyes as she looks over the certificate. "Oh, Ash, I'm so proud of you! Let's hang this up somewhere special. But first, tell me everything—what was your last adventure like?"

Ash grins, his eyes sparkling with unshared tales. "It's a long story, Mom. Lots of battles, new Pokémon, and incredible places. But first, I'm starving. Can we catch up over dinner?"

"Of course, honey. I've made your favorite—come on in." She turns, leading them into the cozy kitchen filled with the aroma of cooking.

As they settle around the table, the familiar settings, the taste of home-cooked food, and his mother's attentive eyes make Ash realize how much he has missed this—his home, his anchor. Here, he is not just a Pokémon trainer, but a son, a friend.

Delia places a hearty plate of food in front of Ash, then sits across from him with her own. The soft clink of cutlery fills the brief silence as they begin to eat.

"So, Ash," Delia starts, her tone turning inquisitive as she takes a sip of her tea, "now that you have your certificate, what are you planning to do for the future? Have you thought about what's next?"

Ash pauses, placing his fork down beside his plate. He's anticipated this question, yet the answer isn't as straightforward as he wishes it could be. "Well, Mom," he begins, his gaze drifting off as he gathers his thoughts. "Honestly, I'm not really sure yet. There's a lot I'm still trying to figure out."

Delia listens intently, giving him a gentle, encouraging nod.

"I've been doing a lot of thinking about what it actually means to be a 'Pokémon Master,'" Ash continues, his voice thoughtful. "It's something I've always aimed for, but the more I learn, the more I realize there's no clear answer. It's not just about winning battles or collecting badges anymore."

Delia leans forward, her eyes reflecting a mix of curiosity and pride. "That sounds like a mature way to look at it. It's about the journey, isn't it? The experiences and the friendships?"

"Yeah, exactly," Ash agrees, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he reflects on his adventures. "It's about understanding Pokémon on a deeper level, helping them, and learning from them. Maybe that's what I need to focus on for now—just being there for Pokémon and for people who need help."

"That's a wonderful goal, Ash," Delia says warmly. "And whatever path you choose, I know you'll make a big difference. You always do."

Ash nods, feeling a sense of peace settling over him with his mother's support. "Thanks, Mom. I guess I just need to keep exploring, keep learning. There's always something new on the horizon, right?"

"Always," Delia confirms with a smile, reaching across the table to squeeze his hand. "And no matter what, I'm here for you."

The conversation drifts into lighter topics as they continue their meal, but Ash's thoughts linger on his future. He doesn't have all the answers yet, but for now, he knows he's on the right path. And that's enough to keep moving forward.

After dinner, Ash helps his mother clear the table and wash the dishes, their chatter filling the kitchen with warmth and laughter. Eventually, the evening winds down, and Delia kisses Ash goodnight, her eyes soft with affection. "Sleep well, sweetie," she murmurs.

Ash nods, feeling the familiar comfort of being home envelop him as he heads upstairs to his old room. The walls are lined with posters of Pokémon and various trophies and badges he's earned over the years—a testament to his journey. He changes into his pajamas and settles into bed, the familiar creaks and sighs of the house wrapping around him like a blanket.

Pikachu, ever his faithful companion, hops up onto the bed, curling up beside him. Ash strokes his soft fur, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Hey, buddy," Ash whispers, his voice soft in the quiet of the night. "It's been quite a journey, hasn't it? I couldn't have done it without you and all the Pokémon we've met along the way."

Pikachu chirps softly, nuzzling into Ash's hand. "Pika Pi."

Ash smiles, his heart swelling with gratitude. "I've been thinking a lot about what it means to be a Pokémon Master," he continues, his gaze drifting to the window where the stars twinkle in the vast sky. "It's more than just battles and badges. It's about understanding and caring for Pokémon, and the bonds we've built together."

Pikachu looks up at him, tilting his head as if understanding every word.

"You know, each challenge, each battle... they've taught me something important. Thanks to you and everyone else, I've come so far." Ash's voice is laden with appreciation. "But the journey isn't over. There's so much more out there for us to explore, to learn."

Pikachu lets out a contented sigh, agreeing in his own way.

"Yeah," Ash says, a determined gleam in his eye as he looks back at Pikachu. "Whatever comes next, we'll face it together. Just like we always have."

As the night deepens, Ash and Pikachu close their eyes, their breathing slowing as they drift towards sleep. But tonight, the darkness of sleep unfolds into something extraordinary. Instead of the silent embrace of dreams, a brilliant light envelops them, and they find themselves standing in a vast, celestial space—the Hall of Origin.

Before them, the majestic form of Arceus appears, its presence overwhelming yet serene. "Ash Ketchum, Pikachu," the voice of Arceus echoes through the hall, reverberating with a power that is both awe-inspiring and gentle. "You have been summoned here for a purpose."

Ash, feeling a comforting familiarity despite the celestial setting, greets Arceus like an old friend. "Hello, Arceus," he says, his voice steady and imbued with respect. "It's been a while."

Pikachu, perched confidently beside him, chirps a bright greeting, the sound echoing softly in the vast, divine hall.

Arceus regards them both with ancient, knowing eyes. "Ash Ketchum, your presence here is by no mere coincidence," Arceus replies, its voice deep and resonant, filling the space with a sense of timeless wisdom. "Your actions in Paldea—your courage and leadership in thwarting Team Rainbow Rocket's scheme—have been observed by all Legendary Pokémon."

Ash listens, feeling a mix of pride and humility. "Thank you, Arceus. I just did what felt right. I couldn't have managed it without my friends and Pokémon."

"It is your ability to inspire and unite others that has brought you here," Arceus continues, its tone conveying deep respect. "In recognition of your deeds and the potential we see in you, we wish to entrust you with a significant new endeavor."

Interest sparks in Ash's eyes as he leans in slightly, intrigued. "What kind of endeavor?"

"We have observed a place of great potential, one that holds deep connections to your lineage," Arceus reveals, its voice echoing softly yet profoundly in the celestial chamber. "It is an island, once belonging to your father. As of now, it is marked only by an empty castle, standing silent amidst the wilderness. The island has been abandoned since your father's passing."

Ash's expression shifts as he absorbs this information, a mixture of surprise and contemplation crossing his face. "My father's island?" he whispers, the words heavy with personal significance. "I didn't even know..."

"It is a place of untapped possibilities," Arceus continues, its gaze steady and encouraging. "Its isolation and the memories it holds could be transformed into a new beginning. Not just for you, but for many."

The weight of his heritage and the opportunity to create something meaningful from his father's legacy resonate deeply with Ash. His initial shock gradually transforms into a burgeoning resolve. "A new region," he muses aloud, the idea growing within him. "I could turn that island into a new region—a place where Pokémon and people from all over can come together, learn, and grow."

"Yes, Ash Ketchum," Arceus nods, a faint glow surrounding it, reflecting the potential it sees in him. "This endeavor could be your legacy, as much as it was your father's hope. A region that stands as a beacon of collaboration, understanding, and peace."

Ash feels a surge of determination, inspired by the possibility of continuing his father's dreams and forging his own path. "I want to do it, Arceus. I'll turn that island into a region that's a home for anyone seeking a new start. Just like my Pokémon and I have always found new beginnings in our journeys."

"Very well," Arceus says, its voice conveying approval and pride. "This task will not be easy, and the challenges will be many, but your heart and your bonds with your Pokémon will guide you through. You are not alone in this, Ash Ketchum. Support will find its way to you, often in forms you least expect."

Ash nods, his resolve solidifying. "Whatever it takes, I'm ready. I've faced challenges before, and with my friends and Pokémon, I know we can do this."

Arceus's presence emits a comforting warmth, affirming Ash's decision. "The path is set, then. Let this new chapter of your life begin, marked by courage and hope."

With those final words, the vision begins to fade, and Ash finds himself back in his room, the early morning light creeping through the curtains. The dreamlike encounter lingers in his mind, not just as a memory, but as a call to action—a new adventure awaiting just beyond the horizon.
