Me: Hello everybody, my name Tokuniverse11 and welcome back to My Toku to Hero Academia! Now we are on to the Trial arc but a different structured that might intrigued a lot of you since I'm going a different route. This will be the first arc to be split into parts.
Also I want to tell you guys a few things before we start the chapter...
* Omocha has a wife, who will also be important to some arcs both original and canon in this story, you guys will see their backstories and motivations later on in the story. She'll be revealed later on.
* Godzillo exists here but he renamed himself as 'Zillo King' and his quirk's name is 'Super Beast' in order to avoid a lawsuit by Toho in this universe. His appearance will be more like MonsterVerse Godzilla.
* Izuku is 5'8 in height here.
* Due to the hero schools being universities here, it's going to be 4 years for Izuku and his classmates (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior) instead of 3 to graduate. Just to let you know on how time will work in this reality of the story.
* This story actually will have references and nods to both Comic Books and Tokusatsu (Both American and Japanese).
Hey Milarqui I was thinking we should have those end of episode previews that lots of Toku shows do. Also its HOT as hell in where I live especially that I have to do some work outside.
Milarqui: Closest to a Toku show I've ever seen is Power Rangers (the original series), so no idea. And here's hotter than hell, so I might have you beat in that.
So without further ado let's begin.
Chapter 4: Heroes vs. Criminals Trial Part 1
"Previously on My Toku to Academia! Katsuki and Izuku adjust to their life at UA University! The freshmen take their Apprehension Test helmed by Eraserhead, the head of the underground department! The students are shaken by the revelation from Eraserhead after the Apprehension Tests are completed! How will the students prepare for their first official day at Heroics 101?"
Izuku had picked up his laptop, and was currently in his room, spending time by scrolling through his laptop. Their classes were going to begin in a while, and they were going to have their first Heroics 101 class at the end of the day, but he had woken up sooner than normal and had decided this might as well be a good way to spend time. When his phone vibrated, he checked who was calling before picking up.
"Yeah? Okay, thank you so much for doing this. Bye."
As soon as he hung up, he began to text Katsuki.
Deku: It's been done.
Kacchan: You sure you wanted to do that?
Deku: I'm sure. Plus, I'm gonna reveal this in our Heroics class tomorrow anyway. Gotta get this out of the way.
Kacchan: Sure, nerd.
Putting down the phone, Izuku looked up at his All Might poster and smiled, relaxing, until his phone beeped, telling him he had received a message from Melissa Shield.
Melissa: Could you meet me at the Cafeteria later, before we head to Heroics 101?
Izuku smiled, replying to say he would, as he remembered their first meeting the previous day.
As part of their education at U.A., all the Heroics students had to pick elective subjects to go along with their main Heroic courses. Since he really wanted to make good use of his Tinker aspect, he had picked a Support subject as his first elective, and he was now going for his first class.
He had not been the first to arrive, as shown by the other students already waiting, talking with each other. What caught his eye, though, was the American girl he had seen in the Apprehension test, clearly waiting for the class to begin. Seeing that they still had time, he figured he could get to know her better.
"Hey," he said, and the blonde girl turned, her eyes shining as she recognized him. "You're Melissa Shield, right?"
"Yeah, that's my name," she replied, smiling and nodding. "Or would that be Shield Melissa?"
"I don't think it matters much," Izuku said, returning the smile.
"Well, it's wonderful to actually meet you, Midoriya Izuku."
"So, are you related to David Shield?" Izuku asked as he took the seat next to hers. Melissa nodded.
"Yeah. I've been living with him on I-Island most of my life. It's been a while since I was last at the US."
"Only your father?" Izuku asked. He knew of I-Island, of course, and he had many questions about it, but he would keep them for later.
"Mom lives in California."
"I see... say, I'm curious about your Quirk. What is it?"
"Well..." Melissa coyly smiled, "I actually have a dual Quirk."
Izuku's eyes widened, and the other students looked at the duo with surprise after hearing that. Dual Quirks were very rare: normally, they happened when someone inherited the Quirks of both their parents and they managed to mesh without mixing. There were even rarer cases, when certain mutations caused the inherited genes to change in unexpected ways.
"Wait, really?"
"Yes. My first Quirk is a Mutant one I call 'Superhuman Factor', and it triples my strength, toughness, stamina, and speed, gives me a minor regeneration factor and improves my senses."
"Wow, that's really powerful and versatile. What's your second Quirk?"
"An Emitter called 'Star Light'. I can project and control light with my hands, but my energy reserve is very limited, and if I use a lot of it I'm left exhausted," she explained, demonstrating by raising her right index finger and causing a small radiant dot of light to burst.
Everyone was amazed as they listened on their American classmate's explanation, but soon the conversation had to end, as the Support instructor started their class. That, however, would not stop Izuku from asking further questions to Melissa after class.
The students' third day in U.A. Began, and for the ones doing their major in Heroics, it began with their general education classes, starting with English taught by Present Mic, and following it with Modern Literature with Cementoss. With little of note happening during them, the students went on to lunch time at noon, heading for the canteen.
With Lunch Rush, the Cook Hero, at the helm, Izuku had been able to buy what felt like gourmet-quality food for a very cheap price, and was now carrying his tray of food and looking for a seat: when he saw Melissa waving at him, he moved to her table and took the seat across from her.
"I take it that your other classes have gone smoothly?" Melissa asked, but Izuku shrugged.
"Better than I thought they would be, at least. I got to write down all of our classmates' Quirks in my notebook, and I've got to say, they are really interesting."
"Glad to hear that. Now, something I heard, looks like our Heroics 101 instructor is going to be someone new," she said, and Izuku stopped eating for a moment as he went over it.
"I see... well, let's hope they aren't as bad as Eraserhead."
Melissa chuckled, and the two kept talking as they ate, before moving on to continue with their classes and meeting with their classmates as they went to their afternoon classes.
After several more classes between general education and electives, they were ready for the day's last class, the one they had been expecting for quite some time: Heroics 101. The forty casual-clothed students were making their way to their classroom, carrying either their backpacks or just their notebook, pencils and textbook, by pure coincidence walking in a straight line. When they entered to classroom, they found a large amphitheater, full with forty desks and chairs in front of the instructor's desk. A brief rush ensued for favored seats, with Izuku and Katsuki managing to pick two seats in the front row as everyone settled down, ready for their first session.
"I'm so nervous..." Ochako said, feeling anxious.
"Relax, it'll be all fine," Itsuka replied. She was confident of her skills and those of her classmates. Any chattering was interrupted when a laugh sounded out.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
It was a laugh most everyone in Japan was familiar with, and everyone perked in excitement as they heard it. Izuku and Katsuki shared a sideway glance. They had known it would come, but him being their teacher was awesome.
"I AM... COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" All Might said, wearing his trademark costume along with a red cape, opening the door dramatically. Katsuki contained his knee-jerk reaction to palm his face, while Izuku tried to keep from laughing.
'Seriously?' both of them simultaneously thought as All Might merrily marched to the desk, his cape somehow billowing even though there was no windflow within the room.
"Wow, I can't believe it, it's All Might!" Kosei exclaimed, excited.
"The Number One Hero is really going to teach us!" Eijiro exclaimed, a grin on his face.
"That's his Silver Age costume, right?" Tsuyu asked, just as excited as the others even though she was not actually showing it.
"The art style is so different from anything else... it's giving me goosebumps," Yosetsu muttered, shivering as a bead of sweat rolled down his face.
With everyone's gaze on the hero, All Might now stood in front of the instructor desk, posing with his back towards the students.
"I am the Heroics 101 teacher, All Might! This class is the most important in your curriculum, and has the most units from your major courses! And here, you will undergo Hero Basic Training, and we will spend the first term building up your foundations through various trials!"
Everybody, including Izuku, was hanging onto All Might's words, eager for everything the hero would be teaching them in this class.
"With all of that said..." All Might trailed off, before turning to face them, making everyone flinch in surprise, before they saw All Might was striking up another epic pose – this time holding a piece of paper with three words written on it.
Heroes Versus Criminals
"Today, we'll begin straight with Combat Training!"
"Combat training?" Katsuki asked, grinning with excitement. He was not the only one: pretty much everyone was now itching to begin this surprisingly practical class, as All Might pointed to the wall at the side of the room.
"Indeed! But, there's something still missing with you, and that is your costumes... and here are yours!"
The wall suddenly shifted, revealing several open compartments, each of which contained a metal suitcase with a name engraved on them.
"These costumes have been made following both the needs indicated in your Quirk registration and the requests you made in the special forms you sent before the course started!"
The students cheered and left their desks, eager to check their new gear and try it for the first time. Katsuki and Izuku had got their costumes specifically made by someone they knew, but the latter was surprised that everyone else's costumes had been finished in such a short time: he supposed that, with so many Support Course students eager to build stuff, they had likely helped in the craft.
"Now, go get changed and come to Ground Beta! You'll learn what this is about soon!" All Might declared, before dashing for the training grounds.
All Might was now waiting at Ground Beta, his arms crossed as he waited for his students' arrival – only to be shocked out of his musings when someone suddenly landed in front of him.
This person wore an emerald-colored suit made of skintight spandex, with a heavy hood, hip-length cape and sleeves that draped over his hands. All Might's keen eyes noticed that the inside of the hood was black, while that of the sleeves was white. He also approved of the platinum armor parts that covered the torso, shoulders, forearms and legs. Rounding out the appearance was a black belt buckle marked with a large red Z, and an opaque platinum helm that had clearly been fitted with advanced optics.
"Now, that is quite the hero costume!" All Might applauded, and the helm retracted to reveal the smiling face of Izuku Midoriya.
"Thanks, All Might!"
"I figured it had to be you, Midoriya-shōnen! A very sophisticated and detailed costume, might I add! Did you design this yourself?"
"Actually, Kacchan and me met this designer from America through our mothers. She helped us both design our costumes, even when I requested mine to be practical, heroic, and stylish. Looks like it really came through."
"I recognize the style. The best hero suit designer the world has ever known. She even created some of my latest suits, the only thing we disagreed with was that she insisted on it having no cape. Took a while to convince her to let it have at least a cape for show."
"Well, she may have designed the costume, but wait until you see this new trick I have." Izuku stepped back, and suddenly he was glowing and when it died down, he was seeing Izuku wearing his normal clothes. "And watch this... Henshin!"
Izuku made a pose, and he glowed again; when the glow vanished, he was back in his hero costume. A snap of his finger made his cape disappeared, and another brought it back.
All Might clapped and laughed.
"Stylish and heroic, indeed! Much applause to you, Midoriya-shōnen!"
Anything Izuku might have tried to say was drowned out as the other Heroics students walked out of the shadows leading to the grounds, and approached both of them.
The first thing that could be seen were the deep red knee-length boots, standing out as they came out of the shadows, with gold and orange armor on it from the knees to the toes and heels that inspired the idea of being a fighter.
Next was her body, which Melissa had chosen to cover in what Izuku suspected was some of the latest in nanotech, reflecting the sunlight with a pearly white color base for all except for her neck, shoulders, half of her chest, and back which are deep red like the boots while separated by a pair of oranges bands with gold accents that seemed to flow around on their own.
Her hips were surrounded by a red sash that had a gold crest in the form of a five-pointed star: shining gold and orange armor covered her left shoulder and upper arm, while a star-shaped crystal is in the place of pride right above her heart. Her forearms were encased in long gloves that matched in color with the boots and also has gold and orange armor on the wrists and backhands.
And, finally her face, covered in a deep red domino mask surrounding white opaque (likely just one way) optics, and blonde hair, which flowed wildly in the air as she walked towards the group.
"The clothes make the person, ladies and gentlemen," All Might declared as he inspected the rest of his students' costumes. "Be fully aware... from now on, you are Heroes! You all look just fine, magnificent!"
All of the costumes were finely done, and the designs ranged from the practical to the flashy passing by modest, but he was forced to admit that Izuku's was probably the best of the lot, which many of his classmates clearly agreed with.
"Woah, is that Midoriya's costume? It looks awesome!" Denki commented.
"I know, it's so IMMENSE!" Tetsutetsu added
"Super cool and super hot, love your costume!" Camie complimented.
"I'm kind of intimidated by it, to be honest," Sen remarked.
Most of the other girls made a (very poor) attempt to hide their admiration for how well the costume was showing off his toned physique even under the armor. The fact that they were ogling the hell out of the green-haired young man caused the latter to start blushing, as he noticed the extra attention he was receiving from his 18-year-old hormonal female classmates.
"Alright, my young zygote heroes, it's time to get started on your training!" All Might interrupted, wanting to get the training started and save his protegé from the embarrassment, and guided the group towards a large building nearby.
"Sensei! This is the battle center from the Entrance Exam! Will we be conducting urban combat again?" Tenya asked, stiffly raising his right arm as they were walking.
"No, we're going to be doing much more than that. Here's the thing! All heroes must not only be capable of relying on themselves against powerful opponents, but also to be able to fight in a group with great teamwork skills to gain a greater chance of victory!" All Might elaborated. "When I studied here, we would fight against each other in duels or battles, but technology has advanced greatly, so, for this first test, you will be split in teams of two, and then complete a VR simulation where you will fight your way against criminals, with the objective being the capture of the wanted suspect within a time limit!"
"Without basic training?" Tsuyu asked, surprised.
"THIS IS A BATTLE WHERE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THOSE BASICS WHILE ON THE JOB!" All Might exclaimed, clenching his fist. "There's no robot you can just destroy, the enemies here can hurt you just as much as you can hurt them!"
The building All Might had guided them to was far more impressive on the inside, at least the room they were brought to, which had a large, very sophisticated computer along with a large screen, and a double door that led further into the building.
"How do we lose in this simulation?" Momo asked, her fists on her hips.
"How painful is the VR?" Itsuka asked in a cautious tone.
"Will we be expelled if we performed badly, like with Aizawa-sensei?" Nirengeki asked, nervously.
"How are we going to be paired up?" Melissa asked. Even though there was no wind, her red sash was being blown, much like All Might's cape.
"What kind of criminal simulation scenarios are we talking about?" Neito asked, something the others were also wondering about.
"Alright, one at a time, please, I don't have the super-senses some of you do! Allow me to answer your questions, though! Yaoyorozu-shōjo, loss will be determined if time runs out or the combatants are too hurt to continue. Kendo-shōjo, it should not be painful if you get hurt, but you can still be harmed. Shoda-shōnen, no one will be expelled. Monoma-shōnen, there will be six different scenarios, and each team will be randomly placed in one of them. And Shield-shōjo, as for how I plan to split you in groups... I will let the luck of the draw choose!"
When he finished, All Might pulled a piece of paper out of one of his pockets. Izuku felt bemused, and Katsuki snorted as both realized that their idol was actually using a cheat sheet to deal with the class. Everyone else just kept listening at what their instructor had to say.
"While the six scenarios are different, the situation for all of them is the same: a criminal group is attacking a public area and terrorizing the civilians, and the Heroes on duty must take the former down. There will be civilian hostages that you must avoid hurting and save, or else you will suffer public backlash, in the form of a penalty to your remaining time. In order to achieve victory, you must find the main suspect and arrest them before the time runs out!"
'That's so... American-like,' Izuku thought.
"What happens if we kill the wanted suspect, be it intentionally or accidentally?" Togaru asked. All Might sighed.
"Heroes... heroes should always be dedicated towards justice, and have a desire to help the innocent. However... the harsh reality is that this is also a world where villains and monsters have no qualms about putting an innocent's life in danger, especially if it's a child. As such, if the alternative is to let civilians suffer... you must not have a problem in using deadly force."
The students had a look of uncertainty and fear upon hearing that. Ibara, a devoted Christian girl, knew she would have to pray for forgiveness a lot when she became a hero.
Izuku, meanwhile, looked down at his gloved hands, knowing that the immense power he held meant he could very easily end a life: his memories of what had happened with that monster years before came unbidden to his mind. Katsuki was also left in thought, but he steeled his resolve to continue, to not hesitate to end a life if the threat was too dangerous or severe to arrest.
"I know it is heady knowledge cast upon you. None of you are murderers, and I know you won't set out to kill anybody in battle... but if it's necessary to save lives, I'm certain you won't be pulling any punches," he stated, causing the students to straighten their backs.
"Yes, All Might!" they all yelled, causing the hero to smile before he brought out a yellow box, seemingly out of nowhere.
"Well, now, draw a lot and you'll find your partner!" he said, offering the box.
"Is that the best way to decide the teams for this exercise?" Tenya asked in confusion.
"Actually, it makes a whole lot of sense. Just think about it, in the field we might have to team up with heroes we know little about, and working with other hero agencies during an emergency is a very common event. And Pros have to be able to adapt to any scenario you may come across, and cooperate for the benefit of the mission," Izuku pointed out.
"I see! That was a great analytical answer, Midoriya-kun! Please, excuse my rudeness and ignorance!" Tenya said bowing robotically to All Might – who clearly did not know what to do with the young speedster's sheer stiffness and formality.
"It's fine, young Ida-shōnen! You're here at school to learn, after all! Now, let's hurry up and begin this!" the Number One bellowed, and the students drew their lots to see who they would be paired with.

Some of the girls were bummed out that they would not get to be paired up with Izuku for the class. Nevertheless, everyone moved to speak with their assigned partners so as to prepare for the test, but then someone spotted something was wrong with the pair ups.
"Hey, how come Green doesn't have a partner?" Setsuna asked, eyebrows raised. The others turned, and realized that Izuku was indeed on his own, and that one of the teams had an extra member.
"Ah, I figured someone would question that! You see, I feel that Midoriya-shōnen is strong enough to pass a scenario without a partner! But, just this trial – he'll be teaming with any of you in the future!" All Might answered, wagging his finger. No one could not argue with his logic – they had seen all the stuff Izuku had done during the assessment, after all.
"Now, here are the scenarios for the first six teams! When these are done, the next six teams will follow with similar tests, and then again until everyone is done!"
One of the screens lit up, and displayed the first six scenarios for the students to see.
Team A: Akihabara
Team B: Harbor
Team C: Subway
Team D: Air Port
Team E: Nuclear Power Plant
Team F: Diet Building
Katsuki blinked for bit at his placed scenario.
"They are putting me in a fucking nuclear power plant?" he questioned in the same tone someone would question another person's sanity.
"Now, Team A has 3 minutes to prep before going into the chamber! I want everyone else to remain here in the control room. That way, you will be able to observe everything and comment on it!"
"Aye, sir!" the students replied.
Camie and Neito stepped forward. All Might pulled two earpieces out of somewhere that should have been a pocket but didn't even seem to exist and handed one of them to each. Camie began to stretch out, while Neito checked all his stopwatches to make sure he was prepared.
"So, ready to begin this with my plan?" Neito asked, smirking.
"LOL, totally!" Camie answered with a laugh, and the two of them walked through the doors as they automatically opened. All Might looked through the manual that came with the console (courtesy of the MT Institute – their close partnership meant that U.A. could get the most advanced tech ahead of time) and began to type down the required instructions: the larger screen turned on, and the interior of the facility turned into the first simulation.
Heroes vs Criminals Trial 1: Akihabara
Neito and Camie came into the middle of Japan's famous cultural area to the sounds of several police cars as they chased down a white vehicle.
"Bank robbery in Akihabara police district! The suspects have been seen escaping in a white car and carrying handguns! All heroes, respond to the location!" they heard from their earpieces. Neither of them moved, though, because there was a hard light barrier in front of them, blocking their passage.
Their wait was short, as the car attempted to make a turn on a red light, only to drift too much and hit a street lamp, stopping completely as the police cars halted nearby. The robbers jumped out of the car through the doors leading to the pavement and began to shoot at the police officers, who answered with their own as they updated their request.
Another voice interrupted the heroes-in-training's thoughts.
"READY? GO!"
The barrier in front of them disappeared, and Camie and Neito quickly jumped into action as they ran towards the robbers. Two of them noticed the former and aimed, but they were alert and quickly dodged the bullets fired their way.
Camie reached the closest thief – seriously, they were dressed like stereotypes – and delivered a devastating kick to his mid-section, before she launched herself at the next closest, who had managed to grab a civilian to take him hostage. Camie dodged the next bullet and grabbed the hand holding the firearm by the wrist, twisting it to force the thief to drop the weapon.
*crack*
"Whoops!" Camie muttered as the thief let his hostage go and fell to the ground, whimpering from the pain of a broken arm. After making sure the civilian was alright, she subdued the robber and handcuffed him, noting with interest how, even though she was in a virtual reality, everything felt so real to her...
"Utsushimi-san, come on, we're losing him!" Neito exclaimed through her earpiece. Camie stood up as the thieves attacked each other, distracted thanks to Neito copying her Quirk to create an illusion, and knocked some of them out as she joined her partner. The two ran towards the last robber – wearing a collared button shirt – and just as another police car arrived, they saw the robber push a rider off his motorcycle and jumped on it, driving off.
"The suspect has snatched a bike and is escaping eastbounds! Heroes, chase him down! Over."
The two quickly ran behind the fugitive criminal, but it was obvious that he would escape thanks to the bike if they followed, so they began to take shortcuts to be within reach of the thief. They were surprised when several thieves attempted to get in their way while they ran along a narrow pathway in the shopping district.
"Heh, figured more of his lackeys would slow us down..." Neito muttered. "Oh, well, too bad they won't see us."
Blowing out smoke thanks to his copy of Camie's Quirk, the duo passed by the distracted robbers, who did not realize what was going on until the smoke dissipated and left them surrounded by police officers ordering them to drop their weapons.
One knife-wielding criminal thought Neito to be distracted and attempted to shank him with a knife, but Neito managed to notice him in time and quickly dodged the stab before taking the knife and tossing it away. Camie quickly kicked him in the head, knocking the thief out, as the police radio called on them again.
"The suspect has been sighted entering the parking garage, and it seems he has met with several accomplices! I need back up, now!"
The two quickly reached the garage and rushed down the ramp. The robber's accomplices seemed to be ready to meet their pursuers, only to be surprised by several riot trooper squads rushing towards them, shields in hand to protect themselves from weapons fire. The accomplices panicked and scattered, only for the troopers to eventually vanish into thin air and revealing Camie and Neito: the troopers had been but an illusion created by both of them working together.
"Did you, like, see the look on their faces?" Camie asked, giggling. Neito laughed as well.
"I know, it was so hilarious!"
Finally, they entered the garage, and they could see their target at the other end of the floor, aiming with his gun at them with a look of defying hatred as he drove around the halfway-empty parking lot.
The two were forced to dodge again as they tried to approach, but the robber's mobility made it hard to corner him, much less trap him in an illusion.
"Got any more plans?" Camie asked, ducking behind a car. "Because we have, like, little time left."
Neito quickly looked around his position, analyzing the surroundings as he kept dodging bullets and hatched up a scheme: if he wasn't mistaken, they had just a minute left before the time was done. Then the metaphorical light bulb was lit up.
"I think I do..." he said, giving a devious smirk.
The wanted criminal was back at the other end of the parking when Neito walked out from behind the car, smirking at him. The criminal was puzzled, wondering why the boy had left his refuge and where the girl was.
"I guess a lowlife criminal like you could never be able to escape if you keep failing to hit us!" Neito taunted. The criminal glared at him, and forewent his gun, instead revving the bike's engine before accelerating.
Surprisingly, Neito did not bother to move from his spot, and in fact kept smirking without a worry about the approaching criminal. Pulling out his gun, he aimed to shoot at him from a closer distance – when he was suddenly kicked from the side and off the motorcycle. The criminal fell off to the ground and tumbled several times along the ground before hitting a column, allowing Neito and Camie to arrest him.
As it turned out, while Neito had been the one to taunt the criminal, he had moved out of the way while Camie used Glamour to make it look like he was still standing there. And then, as the criminal approached, they had both jumped and kicked him off the motorcycle, allowing them to arrest him.
"Criminal Captured!"
"Team A, you have managed to complete the scenario! Now, return to the control room!" All Might requested through the earpieces. Neito and Camie walked away, as the hard light constructs surrounding them began to fall to pieces.
Neito and Camie walked out of the chamber to the applause of their classmates.
"That was awesome!" Denki said.
"VR looks so much fun and intense!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed.
"Well done, you two! You finished with a clear time of 2'25''63!" All Might praised before turning to the other students. "Now, who is the MVP of this scenario?"
Momo raised her hand.
"I would say Monoma-san. He was able to think outside of the box and incorporated trickery and deception to his plan, which was able to use Utsushimi-san's Quirk to great advantage. He never truly confronted the criminals head on, yet he and Utsuhimi-san worked well together to take down the main criminal with a plan that had low risk," Momo explained.
"Very good, Yaoyorozu-shōjo! In the real world, villains and criminals never play fair, and will use anything against the heroes! Never be afraid to be pragmatic when you fight villains, because they will never be afraid to do the same. Either way, a well-earned MVP to you, Monoma-shōnen!" All Might declared.
Neito smiled as the rest of the students congratulated him. Due to the nature of his Copy Quirk, he had never felt this much appreciation in life: people had constantly told him that he could do nothing worthwhile without the help of others and ridiculed him for his dreams. While he had never let that make him desist in his efforts to become a hero, he had been looking at it with some level of spite, and with the knowledge that he might have to resort to 'unheroic' behaviors and tactics... which he was surprisingly praised for here.
"Now that we're done, let's move on to Team B's scenario! Girls, you're up!" All Might said, motioning Tsuyu and Setsuna to go to the double doors. The frog and lizard duo followed the request and entered the chamber, as the simulation began for them.
Heroes vs Criminals Trial 2: Harbor
Tsuyu and Setsuna found themselves on the deck of a large cargo ship that was being fired on from another ship with markers for a government agency.
"This is the Maritime Safety Agency! Halt your vessel immediately!"
The two girls watched as MSA agents prepared to board the mysterious ship they were in, blocked from advancing by a hard light barrier, like in the previous scenario. Their objective was clearly somewhere here.
"READY? GO!"
The two girls quickly jumped into action, rushing forward into the cargo ship.
"We've got company!" Setsuna yelled as several criminals – foreigner, probably Chinese, smugglers – standing either on cargo containers or the deck itself turned towards them. Without a word, the girls decided to split up and secure each side of the ship separately. Setsuna literally split herself up into pieces and took on the criminals populating the port side, while Tsuyu stuck to the walls on the starboard-side containers and struck one of the smugglers – one holding a hostage – with her tongue.
Then she jumped in the air and grabbed Setsuna's flying head before tossing it back to her headless body, which was busy backhanding another smuggler from behind.
With the main group done with, the two teens headed up the main bridge from different sides of the stairs, and the smugglers were – unsurprisingly – occupying every level. Tsuyu made good use of her quick moves and tongue to jump over the hand rails and punch, push or kick the criminals overboard, while Setsuna used her splitting tactic to avoid all the bullets and attack all the criminals trying to stop her from reaching the bridge from unexpected angles to throw them off.
Tsuyu was the first to reach the bridge, and the first thing she noticed was a smuggler holding two people hostage.
Setsuna caught up a few moments later, and saw an unconscious criminal and Tsuyu consoling the now rescued hostages.
"I guess we got the ship, then, gero," Tsuyu said.
"Yep, good job!" Setsuna complimented, giving a thumbs up as they moved to secure the bridge and the ship was guided into port.
Unfortunately, the job was not done, because they quickly got another message through their earpieces.
"The smugglers have jumped from the vessel to the docks! Heroes, chase them!"
As the cargo ship had already been secured, the girls jumped off and began to chase the smugglers into the harbor, with the criminals being just a few seconds ahead of them. Following them into a warehouse, they split up again, and finally cornered them near a large container crane, where they had taken two more hostages.
"Gero," Tsuyu exclaimed, and she quickly shot her tongue to grab a gun from a hostage taker and throw it aside. The smuggler knelt down in defeat as he let the hostage go, allowing Tsuyu to hop over them without a problem and deal with a few more smugglers.
On the other side, Setsuna had scattered herself once more, managing to attack everyone on her side at the same moment without hitting the hostage: soon, they had all been reduced to cringing on the ground, allowing their arrest by local police.
Once more, though, it was clear that their job was not done yet, for they got another message.
"The chief of the smuggling ring is attempting to escape on a truck! Capture him! Over."
Setsuna sighed.
"Figures. Are you starting to see a pattern here?"
"Yeah. Looks like all the scenarios have three areas to go through before completing it," Tsuyu replied, not showing the exasperation she was feeling.
"Well, let's get moving, we have to finish this in two minutes or we'll fail."
Tsuyu ran ahead, with Setsuna following close behind as they moved underneath a moving transtainer towards the direction the other smugglers were going for. Two men wielding knives attempted to assault them, but Setsuna detached her left arm and handed it to Tsuyu, who grabbed it with her tongue and wielded it to smack the criminals aside with ease.
Further trouble laid ahead, with a few more smugglers and hostages to deal with, but they were quickly dealt with as they kept running – until they found themselves on a relatively open area near a second transtainer.
That was when Tsuyu noticed an engine.
"Wait, I think I hear something big coming our way, gero."
From behind a corner came out a large cargo fork lift vehicle, driven by a man in a white suit coming towards them: this was clearly the boss leading the smuggling operation they had just foiled – and, most alarming for them, he was also aiming a submachine gun in their general direction.
Not wanting to make this last long, unlike what Team A had done in their scenario, Tsuyu and Setsuna unleashed the joint move they had come up with just the previous day.
"SALAMANDER STYLE!" they simultaneously yelled as they began.
It was similar to the move they had used earlier, but this time Tsuyu grabbed multiple pieces of Setsuna – including her head, which was at the tip of Tsuyu's tongue as she fired towards the wanted criminal. Setsuna – thankful for her very sharp teeth – dodged an attempt to ward her off and bit the smuggler in the arm, forcing him to drop his weapon and drawing blood before yanking him out of the vehicle, causing the latter to turn violently and crash against a container stack that tumbled over and fell on the vehicle, crushing in under several tons of steel. Soon, the Maritime agents arrived to the scene and arrested the smuggler the two heroines had apprehended.
"Criminal Captured!"
Setsuna and Tsuyu came out of the chamber, and were met by praise and applause from some of their classmates and their teacher.
"Bravo!" All Might declared. "You finished your scenario with a time of 2'18''76, but wasted no time in capturing the main criminal! So, who do you think should be named MVP for this scenario?"
"I would say both of them!" Tenya exclaimed under his helmet. "They showed perfect synergy and teamwork throughout the entire scenario, and as you said, they strove to apprehend the wanted criminal as soon as possible instead of prolonging it!"
"I agree with your assessment, Ida-shōnen! Asui-shōjo, Tokage-shōjo, you both deserve to share the MVP for your perfect teamwork!" All Might stated, and the two girls high-fived before rejoining their friends.
"Good job, Setsuna-chan!" Izuku said, giving the lizard girl a thumbs up. Setsuna grinned.
"Thanks so much, Green!"
"Alright, next up is Team C! Young heroines, it's your moment to shine!"
"Good luck, you two," Izuku said, smiling at Itsuka and Momo.
"Thanks, Izu-kun!"
"Thanks, Izuku-kun!"
Momo and Itsuka blinked and then turned to stare at each other. They may have hashed out the respect they had for each other, but still, beneath that still lingered the rivalry that had sprung out from the moment they had met. Shaking it off, they headed into the chamber as All Might punched in the code to start the next scenario, and for the third time that day the screen lit up.
Heroes vs Criminals Trial 3: Subway
The girls appeared behind the fare-entry machines of a crowded subway station, a hard-light barrier preventing them from going inside, as expected.
"Reliable information has revealed that arms smugglers will make a big deal in one of the yards. Find and apprehend them before they finish!"
"Let's make this more interesting," Momo suggested. "How about we race to get the target?"
"I like that. Doesn't help to have a bit of competition," Itsuka agreed.
"How about this? We do like Asui-san and Tokage-san and go in different directions, but we only help each other if it's urgent."
"Agreed."
The two girls shook hands and prepared for battle.
"READY? GO!"
Momo quickly created a riot shield and a pistol loaded with rubber bullets and ran into the station. The crowd quickly scampered as a number of Yakuza members showed up with weapons of their own and aimed at Momo. The girl took cover next to a wall and fired her own gun at them: years of practice had taught her how to use the weapon with precision, and soon the Yakuza had been knocked out by headshot or bodyshot.
At the other side of the platform, Itsuka was using her martial art skills and her Quirk to quickly get rid of the gangsters that had been on that side of the fight, sometimes using one of them as a bludgeoning weapon against the others or even throwing them. The case was, that soon enough all of her targets had been put down – as a train began to enter the station.
"The suspects are holding their encounter in the middle car of the upcoming train. Board it and secure the place."
The train halted in front of the girls, disgorging almost panicking civilians as the two girls entered from each end of the train, ready to continue their mission. This time, the Yakuza had taken several hostages, compelling Momo and Itsuka to not only finish as quick as possible to avoid running up the time limit, but to be mindful of the civilians still in the train.
Momo kept shooting her way through the criminals, and her shield let her block even more bullets as she pushed forward, even bashing several of them with the shield when they got close. The civilians quickly (and gratefully) retreated to the end of the train as she continued her advance.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the train, Itsuka (who did not have the benefit of a shield to cover herself) was forced into a 'deadly dodge' chain of attacks, where she would avoid a bullet and follow that with a giant punch to the head, sending all of the Yakuza into the walls of the car.
The girls had almost reached the middle car when the emergency brakes were triggered, forcing the train to stop and keeping them from reaching their target, who they saw jumping off the train along with what could be assumed to be his bodyguards.
"The suspect is using the tunnels to escape. Keep chasing him!"
"Well, looks like we're going to pursue through the tunnels," Itsuka said, sighing. "Very dark tunnels, may I add."
Momo's body glowed, and moments later her hands held two pairs of night vision goggles. She tossed one pair to a surprised Itsuka, while she put on the other pair.
"I know, we agreed to keep from helping each other, but this is completely different, entering a subway tunnel with minimal illumination is risky," Momo stated as she turned on her goggles and began sprinting into the dark tunnel. Itsuka nodded in appreciation before putting on her own goggles and sprinting to catch up to Momo. On the way, she found several knocked out Yakuza members who had clearly had a meeting with Momo's bullets and lost.
That did not mean she was free to go, as evidenced when two knife-wielding gangsters tried to rush her. Parrying their haphazard slashes, she quickly countered.
"Double Jumbo Fist!" she shouted as she struck at both criminals at the same time, waiting until the last second to enlarge her fists in order to maximize damage, sending them both flying. Ridding herself of the targets, she finally caught up to Momo.
"Made it."
"Took you long enough, I was starting to feel alone," Momo joked as they continued running.
Their run came to a stop as they met not one, not two, but three identical bald men, wearing night vision goggles like the ones Momo had created, underneath a twinkling light. Their surprise turned into shock when the two men in the front knelt, and the third revealed what they were holding.
"Rocket launchers!"
Itsuka quickly took cover while Momo held on with her shield, which fortunately held on against the oncoming missiles. The two of them noticed that the Yakuza were trying to confuse them by making it look like they were teleporting around the place as the lights came on and off. However, the only obstacle for the heroines-to-be's advance was the constant firing, which put them on the defensive and forced them to come up with a plan – they were running out of time to finish their mission.
Momo timed up how long it took for the rocket launchers to be fired, and when one of them began to move, she quickly fired at him with her gun, knocking him out of the running as another fired his launcher.
Itsuka saw the missile heading for Momo and quickly jumped up while enlarging her right hand. Despite its speed, she was able to grab the large projectile, twirl it around and throw it back at the Yakuza boss that had launched it, knocking him out of the game while surprisingly intact.
"Payback for the goggles," Itsuka told an appreciating Momo.
The last criminal, seeing its triplets out of combat, decided that discretion was the best part of valor and dropped his launcher before trying to make his escape, only to fall on his bottom as a large lasso held by an equally large hand tripped him up, shocking him until the girls tied him up, smirking down at him as they did so.
"Let's call this one a draw, agreed?" Itsuka asked, offering her hand. Momo nodded and shook it.
"Criminal Captured!"
As the screen went blank, Momo and Itsuka came out of the chamber, victorious in their tiredness.
"Finished the trial with a time of... 2'21''86!" All Might said. "Now, the MVP for this scenario?"
Neito raised his hand.
"I'd give it to Yaoyorozu-san. She adapted to the situation accordingly, and even though she was competing against Kendo-san, she never tried to take any advantage she found, and even gave her the tools required to balance the playing field when Kendo-san was in clear disadvantage," he explained, smiling and impressed at the display shown by his classmates.
Momo smiled at the praise: it was certainly a boost to her confidence, going forward.
"Very well thought out assessment, Monoma-shōnen! Competition should be fair and healthy for heroes to better themselves next time, should they lose!" the hero said, turning to Momo and Itsuka. "Still, you both did a great job! Congratulations! But now, on to the fourth trial! Team D, you're up!"
Shoto had picked a curious costume, a white-and-dark-blue mix of samurai and shinobi outfits and a bokken, while Reiko, who had seemed somewhat ghost-like when Izuku had met her earlier, had chosen a pale purple kimono and a black half-mask covering everything from her nose down that emphasized that spiritual feeling she exuded.
Their classmates felt a sense of some combination of the old Sengoku period combined with the supernatural as they saw those two together. As they entered the VR chamber, Izuku was left deep in his thoughts after seeing the first three scenarios play out on the screen... and realized that none of the teams had killed the criminals they had faced.
'I don't enjoy killing... but, when done righteously... it's just a chore, like any other. It may not be heroic... but there will be times where it is needed.'
"Next time on My Toku to Hero Academia! The first three paired up students try out the VR chamber and manage to capture their wanted criminal with their specialized methods of doing it! How will the other two paired students and the lone Izuku will fair in their scenario?"

Thanks so much.
Other Pairings because Izuku isn't the only one getting love: Shoto/Reiko/Kashiko, Denki/Kyoka, Tenya/Yui, Shihai/Kinoko, Hitoshi/Mei
Also, Hooray I went to 2 different Toku conventions this summer in G-Fest and Power Morphicon! Got me a whole lot of good stuff from them.
TVTrope Fun Time!
* Chick Magnet: Izuku full stop!
* Creature-Hunter Organization: DEFENSE is an international paramilitary organization for pro heroes who specializes in fighting and killing evil monsters and alien invaders with their equal usage of quirks/meta abilities, mechs, and vehicles. They also use a special classification system for monster types and danger levels that heavily differs from villain rankings.
* Deadly Training Area: Divergence from canon is that rather then a two on two team battle trial, here instead is the simulation chamber that is rather somewhat dangerous, but a necessity since the students are adult heroes-in-training here taught to fight against dangerous villains and monsters of the likes in the world, so yeah.
* Hotter and Sexier: Oh yes, due to a typical Dekubowl here and the fact that our hero students especially the females are lot more developed in their bodies because they're 18 years old so expect some more fanservice then ever.
* Kitchen Sink: It is a Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Morality one in this story as heroes, villains, monsters, and aliens roam in this more chaotic MHA universe with their own motives in mind.
-Terms used in Toku to Hero-
* Androids: Robots that appear human.
* Vehicles: Transport machines used by humans or aliens during usually combat or other purposes.
