Chapter 16

After the latest debriefing, Ronda Norris knew she had to get this information to Robin. There is no way her parents haven't been in contact with her by now. She had even gotten the impression Mac may suspect something the last time she was at his club. He didn't let anything slip but she got the feeling he knew things about her. He wasn't pressing her for information it was more like he know why she was there and that it didn't concern him. If he knows who she is should she just go and talk to him? No, if she takes this to Robin she won't question it she will hear her out and take that information to whoever it is that needs to know. If the WSB thinks they can trap Faison, then Anna and Robert should at least know what is going on.

She was waiting outside Kelly's. Robin was inside with that older woman, Olin, she seems to enjoy spending time with her and there is a connection to the family there. Ronda thinks she works for them, she might be a cleaning lady but it hadn't taken much digging to find out she had worked for the family for years and was a caregiver to Robin as she grew. The first few times she had seen them together Ronda had become curious and had done a little digging. Hopefully, they will part ways when they are done with9 their meal. If Ronda could give Robin a ride somewhere then that would be the easiest way to pass this information on to her.

When Robin finally came outside Ronda made eye contact but did not move from where she was standing. "This was nice, Olin. I have to get over to the Outback. Uncle Mac has some work for me to do."

"Alright, see you later, kiddo." Olin smiled then turned and walked away.

Robin took a moment then glanced over at Ronda. She turned as soon as Robin looked at her, then walked away. Robin knew Ronda wanted her to follow her. It wasn't long before she saw Ronda standing close to her car. "Do you need a ride somewhere?" she asked when Robin got closer.

"I'm actually on my way to my uncle's club."

"I'll give you a ride."

The look in Ronda's eyes told Robin there was something she needed to talk to her about. "Alright, thanks." Robin smiled and got in the car as Ronda did. She didn't know why she felt comfortable with Ronda but again the comparison to the police protection she's had over the years came to mind. This is someone that is watching out for her.

"Are you in a rush to get there?"

"I have time. He's not expecting me until eleven."

"Alright, we're gonna take a little longer route just so we have time to talk." Ronda then pulled out of the parking spot.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"I know you aren't going to confirm anything I talk about and that's fine. If I ever have a kid I hope they're a lot like you."

Robin smiled a little unsure of the compliment, "Thanks, I guess."

"Agent Colin Ross is up to something. You should tell Sean about this part. I don't know what Ross is planning but I think he is trying to lure Faison somewhere. I've heard a little chatter about a plant, a woman that looks like your mom. There could even be pictures of this woman already circulating."

"Are you telling me the WSB wants to use some innocent woman that happens to look like my Mom to lure that psychopath? Some poor woman going about her life is going to be in danger because of the WSB and a crazy man!"

"I don't know! Robin this is why I'm bringing this to you. I can't do anything with my suspicions and not draw attention to myself."

"Sorry, it's just I know what that man will do to get what he wants."

"I understand. Your mother did tell me a little about the run-in you all had with him. We had a few nice chats while she was our guest."

"Guest?" Robin asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I never would have dreamed she was a prisoner until she left and it was called an escape. I'm sorry Robin, I didn't fully understand the situation then."

Robin studied Ronda for a moment, maybe she could believe that. "Alright. So you want Sean to know Agent Ross is up to something to draw him out of hiding. I will pass that along. Does the WSB know where Faison is?"

"Not as far as I know. I think they have a general idea though or the plan wouldn't have been put into motion. I heard Ross talking about his plan before our debriefing. He is happy that 'his plan' is finally in play."

"But you don't know what that means?" Ronda just shook her head in response. "Would he put my parents in danger? If he knows where they are, would he use them? Could it be an actual picture of my Mom?"

Ronda looked over at Robin, then touched her arm. "I've been hearing Ross talk about his plan since shortly after I ended up in Port Charles. There is no way he could have been so sure of this plan if he didn't know where your mother was at the time if she was the bait. He would have been more desperate to find her. He would have needed her first if Anna is the bait. It has always seemed like he needs to know where she is but wasn't too worried about actually finding her as long no one else could either."

"I don't understand that. Did he want to find my parents or not? Was he looking for them or just Faison?"

"I think he is far more concerned with finding Faison. The talk amongst the agents here is he's selfish and this is more about his career not so much the people involved. I'm sorry to put it that way but that might actually be a good thing for your parents."

"How?" Robin was trying to remain calm but could feel her eyes tearing up.

"If the agent running the op is more concerned with finding Faison than your parents it's good. They are trained agents and from what I've heard damn good ones. They are working as a team, I assume. They just need to keep their heads down, do what has to be done to come home to you." Ronda gave her a little half-grin. "The dark-haired lady and the mystery man haven't been seen down in Argentina for a couple of weeks now," Ronda told her with a grin.

"Oh, really?" Robin was trying very hard to keep her poker face in place.

"I told you I don't expect you to confirm anything. All the agents involved are sure those two were your parents. Anyway, if they lay low I don't think they will have to worry about any problems from the WSB. I don't know if the same could be said about the DVX or if there are other threats."

"So they could still be facing challenges but the WSB shouldn't really be an issue. Is that what you're saying?"

"Basically it is, yeah. They aren't out of the woods but it might help to know they can avoid the WSB by just doing what they have been doing."

"Alright, thanks."

It turned out the little bit longer route was just about the right amount of time for their chat. Ronda pulled over and parked just a little way down the street from the Outback. "I assume you don't want to be dropped off right out front. We don't need anyone seeing us."

Robin grinned at that, she did have a source that needed to stay secret. Intrigue had always been a part of her life but this was the first time that she felt like she was actually an important part of what was going on. "You're right." Robin started to get out of the car. "I guess I'll see you around."

"Yes, you will."

Robin got out and slowly started walking towards her uncle's club. She'll finish up the work there he has for her then call Sean. He needed to know about Agent Ross and she knew her parents would like to know that the WSB isn't all that interested in their whereabouts.

Robert wanted to lay in bed and hold her. He wanted to make love to her when she woke up but there was something he couldn't shake. That was why he was standing across the room watching Anna sleep. There was something he knows this morning that is so very wrong. How can this be true? What does this mean?

"What are you doing over there? I was thinking we'd spend the day in bed." Anna asked as she stretched in bed looking over at him wondering why he isn't in bed with her.

Robert turned a little more to see the most beautiful woman waiting for him to join her. She is his wife, she is the woman he chose. She is the one he wants to be with but he has to tell her this. Robert watched her a little longer, he has to tell her, he can't not tell her but how? He can't keep this in either so after a moment he quietly said, "Holly's alive."

"What?" Anna sat up in bed, wrapping the sheet around herself. That was not what she had expected to hear this morning. How can she be alive? What is he saying, what's going on?

There was no point not telling her what he had remembered. "The night you were taken from me. I bumped into Holly at the party Dominic was throwing for Mac in New York. She was there working some con with her cousin. I talked to her again after that. She ended up in Port Charles and we talked about a lot actually. She told me we were still married." He ran his hand through his hair, just trying to make sense of what he was saying. This all sounded crazy but it had to be true, it was in his head. "She claimed that made our marriage invalid."

Anna covered her mouth. How could this be happening? Where had Holly been all this time?

"Her nanny was Faison's mother, he killed her. Right in front of us, he shot his own mother. That's how he knew you, too." Robert held his hand out, then put it to his chin not sure what to say next. There was so much to say. "She told me the truth, she was in a car crash, not a plane crash. She was in a coma for six months but didn't bother coming back to me. Holly didn't try to contact me. She knew about me almost marrying Katie and our relationship. I asked her to help Mac with Robin while I was out of town."

Anna was slowly nodding as he spoke, no wonder he looked so haunted when she first saw him this morning. "Is she still in Port Charles?"

"I have no idea. Holly knew that we got back together, Anna. That we are married but she still wanted to know if there was a change for her and me. I filed for divorce before I left. I left her the papers to sign, I already did. I don't know if she has. I might be married to another woman." That sounded so wrong even though he knew it was the truth.

Anna was already out of bed and walking toward him. "You are my husband. The vows we took last June. Those are the only ones that matter. I am your wife!"

"You should have been my only wife." He pulled her into his arms and kissed her. The passion intensified, as she pulled him closer. "I'm sorry, Anna."

Anna took his face in her hands, "You have nothing to be sorry for," she whispered then leaned in and kissed his cheek then along his neck. "You should have been my only husband," she whispered close to his ear. He didn't need his entire memory to understand that. They never should have been apart. They always should have been together. Robert picked her up and carried her back to bed. As he laid her down she grinned, "This is what I thought we would be doing first thing this morning."

"I did too," he said looking down at her. His hands were on the bed on either side of her. "I needed to say that out loud. I couldn't wrap my head around that until I said it out loud. I had to tell you."

"You left her divorce papers, if she hasn't signed them then we will deal with that later but that doesn't matter anyway. You are my husband and I will kick her ass if she tries to fight me on that."

"Oh, you'd fight for me?" he asked playfully as she ran her hand along his bare chest.

"I will always fight for you." Her hand moved into his hair as he leaned in and kissed her neck. "You are all mine, Scorpio."

"I will always be yours." He looked into her eyes, so much was said without a word then he leaned in and kissed her tenderly. The need for her grew as Anna arched her back bringing herself closer to him. His arm went around her pulling her closer still. "I have always known you are my perfect woman, Anna."

She gasped as his mouth came down on her neck and then moved to her shoulder, there were sure to be marks there now. He was claiming her as his and that excited her even more. She leaned in and kissed his neck, he thrust against her when she bit down on his shoulder a little. This was not going to be tender she thought as her nails dug into his back.

Anna's head went back as he kissed his way down her body. She was at his mercy, everything he was doing felt like sheer perfection. She has always enjoyed his need to please her but this morning he is outdoing himself. Her hands gripped at the sheets as his tongue brought her closer to her release. "Oh, yes! Yes, Robert, mmmm don't stop!" She rode the wave of her release as he slowly kissed his way back up her body. "I have really missed you."

"I can tell." His head went back as her head went around his shaft. Robert kissed her as she started to stroke him. They both moaned as he slid home. Instantly she needed more, Anna arched up to meet him as he thrust. They couldn't get enough of the other. The bodies moving together, exploring, caressing. She called his name as he drove her near her next release.

Robert rolled onto his back bringing her with him. Anna grinned down at him then licked her lips as her hand moved down his chest as she rocked back and forth. "We are just getting started," Anna said with a sexy smile. She bite her lip as he sat up, then claimed her lips. They had all day.

After a shower, they were finally ready to start the day with a late lunch. "Do we know when Sean is calling today?"

"All he told me was it would be late afternoon so it could be anytime now. He wanted to hear how things went with your check-up and he was going to pass on any new information they have for us."

"So this call might not be all that interesting." Robert paused as the thought about something else. "I'm going to ask him about the divorce. I need to know what's happened with that. I want to be able to correct this when we come out of hiding."

"I want that too," Anna told him with a smile. "They haven't mentioned it or Holly for that matter. I wonder why that is."

"Maybe because they knew with my memory messed up I might not have known that and you didn't know about it so why bring it up."

"I guess you could be right." She took another bite, then smiled over at Robert. "I am really enjoying these lazy days with you."

"I'm enjoying all this time alone with you too. I wouldn't call this morning lazy though."

Anna laughed, "Neither would I." They shared a mischievous look then Anna went back to eating.

He picked up his glass. "I would like to start on the getting home part. I want to stop the people that lead to us being put through all of this. Then I want to get back to our life."

Anna grinned, she loved that he was getting impatient. Not that this was annoying him, it's that he is more like his old self and this is exactly how Robert is during these kinds of situations. "We are waiting for information from Sean."

"I know, that doesn't mean I don't want to be working on this. Trying to fix all of this."

Anna couldn't help but giggle at that. He sounds so much like his old self now. He still has some challenges ahead. Getting home is only part of it. "You still have one more follow-up appointment here. After that, we will know if it's time to start working on getting home. That is if we don't need to talk to any other doctors. You are still listening to your doctor," she pointed out.

"I know." He smiled at her, "I will happily stay here, with you. For now," he added making them both laugh again.

"That's good, especially since we can now pass the time in much better, sexier ways."

"I like those ways." Just then the phone started ringing. "I'll get it," Robert said and stood up to get the phone. "Hello," he answered.

"Hey, Robert. How are you feeling?" Sean said happily, he couldn't help it. The fact that his old friends are alive made him very happy.

"Not bad at all, Sean. What do you have for us today?"

"Not too much actually. We're still digging for information. Honestly, I just wanted to know what your doctor told you."

Robert grinned, they both knew that was why there was a call scheduled for today. "He's pleased with my progress. I've remembered a lot but not everything, not enough. Since the stuff I have remembered is the more recent things and my family, he says that all makes sense. He told me that if I notice that it slows down or if I stop getting memories back then I will need to see another doctor. That's what the appointment in three more days will help to determine. Most likely I will need some kind of help with this going forward."

"Alright, that all sounds positive. That's good then right." Sean wanted to stay hopeful, there were things that could go wrong, things that could prevent them from coming home.

"Yeah." Anna was now standing beside Robert, listening as well. "Ask him," she whispered. She wanted to know about the other matter as much as Robert did, maybe a little more.

"There's something I need to ask about. Um, I left some papers with Holly?" Sean started to chuckle almost immediately on the other end of the line. Robert and Anna looked at each other then he asked, "What's so funny?"

"I will have to get Mac to fill you in on all of what was happening and I'm going to guess it started after Anna came for her visit."

Anna looked up at Robert wondering what he could mean by that. "Oh?"

"There was a very angry teenager that was not making life easy because someone was not signing certain papers. There were a few yelling matches and Holly is now keeping a fair amount of distance between herself and your family, old buddy."

Anna was now holding the receiver down so she could hear better. "That's my girl," she said quietly making Robert smile.

"Did she sign them?" Robert asked, he asked needed to know for sure.

"Yes, oh they have been signed and filed and the divorce has gone through," Sean told them with a grin.

"Good, that's good. Is she still in Port Charles?"

"Yeah, she's involved in something with Bill Eckert at the moment, not sure what that is. I'm just glad she isn't causing Robin any more stress. Anna your daughter did not like having Holly around. Mac said it felt like a war zone some nights."

"Why what was happening?" Anna asked. She know Robin was not having an easy go of it with everything that is going on and having extra stress was not what she needed.

"Well a teen we all love was struggling and someone that doesn't know that teen like the rest of us was trying much much too hard. She wanted Robin to talk and open up about her feelings. All Holly really managed to do was annoy Robin and I think the fact she hadn't signed the divorce papers was the final straw. Mac told me that when it started to be about Robin demanding Holly sign the papers the two couldn't be around each other. The aggressor knows she may have been a little over the top but also feels she had valid reasons for that."

"Yes, she did!" Anna said proudly. She loved the idea of their daughter standing up to Holly. Yes, she might care about her but she was not her mother. Maybe it was the part of her that never wanted to be replaced in her daughter's heart. Whatever it was she loved that Robin was fighting for them and their happy ending.

"So that isn't an issue now?" Robert asked, he was grinning at the smug look on Anna's face.

"No, the divorce is final and Robin is doing much better. She's got me and Tiff, Mac, she spends time with Felicia, goes over to Bobbie and Tony's. She even goes out with Olin once in a while. She is waiting for her parents to come home and until they can we've got her. She is being very well looked after," Sean assured them.

Anna's arm went around Robert, he leaned over and kissed her cheek. They both needed to hear that. Their little girl might not be that little anymore but they still needed to know she was alright. "Thank you, Sean," Anna said softly.

"Well, I am still waiting to hear back from a few people. Hopefully, I will have some more information for you two soon. Is there anything else you needed to talk about?"

"No, the biggest thing we needed today was finding out about that divorce," Robert admitted.

"Alright, then I will talk to you guys later. Take it easy." With that, Sean hung up.

Robert turned taking Anna in his arms again after hanging up. "I don't need a big todo this time. I want to go to city hall, sign some papers make it official because that big wedding last June with all our friends and family there. That was our wedding day."

"I couldn't agree more. That will be the anniversary we celebrate."

"Yes," he leaned in and kissed her. "Do we have plans today?"

"I was thinking we should take it easy. Maybe spend some more time in bed."

"In bed? Yeah, I think you might be right. We should definitely be in bed." Her hand moved up into his hair, pulling him in, kissing him passionately.
