"this does nothing!" Havik yelled
"Time for you to go to sleep!" Lincoln said before kicking havik in the face knocking him out
he turned and saw Kenshi trying to fight ermac
"ok sento do your thing." Lincoln said as sento began to glow
"alright then." Lincoln said as he teleported Laura to him "alright Laura sic 'em!"
Laura activated her tarkatan features and leaped up and began to claw at ermac's face with her claws

"not quite that huge blast of energy should alert the royal family and lead them here." Lincoln explained "and if they see him with outworld's enemies his goose is cooked."
"ok so now what?" Johnny asked
"let's go home." Lincoln said "the huge amount of energy here should mask our presence."
"ok then lead the way." Johnny said as Lincoln opened a portal
"feel free to come with us you 3." Lincoln said to ashrah baraka and syzoth

"can I join?" Johnny asked

"and Laura?" Johnny asked

"ok one final question why are you telling me this?" Johnny said

"restrain him." Lincoln said "me and Liu kang are going to outworld."
Lincoln went to find lui kang and found him talking to Geras
"we gotta go to outworld." Lincoln said "bi-Han went rouge and they weren't able to stop the soul stealers."
"I was just about to head there." Liu kang said "we also learned that Shang tsung's benefactor is not of this timeline."
"oh that's not good we ain't got a moment to lose." Lincoln said "let's go."
They went through the portal and were met with li mei
"return home with your friend lui kang I am to let no one pass." Li mei said
"we must speak with her majesty." Liu kang said "she needs to call off her attack on earthrealm."

"general shao, reiko, Shang tsung, Quan chi and rain." Lincoln said
"general shao!?" Li mei said "I knew he was hiding his true intentions but to join Shang tsung?"
"correct."" Lincoln said
"I knew it." Li Mei said "if I were still umgadi he wouldn't even breathe the same air as the empress."
"unfortunately he has the empress around his finger." Lincoln said
"yes one day he just appeared and immediately had the empress's ear." Li Mei said
"it's because Shang tsung had made a cure for mileena's condition." Liu kang said "unfortunately she has contracted tarkat."
"tarkat?" Li Mei questioned "the empress must be beside herself. If Shang tsung found a treatment, no wonder she embraced him."

they began to head to the palace in a cart
"everything now makes sense." Li Mei said "my umgadi contacts had said the general's soldiers had been encroaching. But still I can't fathom it. General shao committing treason?"

suddenly the cart was stopped

she looked outside and saw the general's forces

out of the portal came out a four armed creature
"machamp!" The creature said

"return Liu kang to the portal gate li Mei." Reiko said "he isn't welcome in outworld."
"I won't support the general or his plan to usurp the throne." Li Mei said

suddenly machamp tackled motaro and began to wail on him
"well reiko I wonder if you're a better fighter when you're not drunk." Lincoln said stepping out of the cart

"we will see about that." Lincoln said as he prepared to fight "DING DONG!"
Lincoln hit reiko in the family jewels with a baton he summoned
within a few minutes reiko and the soilders were down
"we must leave." Li Mei said as Lincoln sent machamp back to his world and the soilders were arrested "reinforcements will be here soon."
They got back in the cart and continued on their way to the palace
they were almost there when they were spotted by Tanya and kameleon
"word of their arrival precedes you." Tanya said
"aw was reiko a little bitch?" Lincoln said
"silence." Tanya said "surrender if you wish to remain unnamed."
"let us pass Tanya." Li Mei said "the empress and her family are in danger. they brings word that Shang tsung and general shao plot against them."
"the general?!" Tanya said furious "are you so easily taken in by lies? Once again you prove that you're incapable of protecting the Royal family."
That struck a nerve in li Mei
"Lincoln." Li Mei began
"yes lei Mei?" Lincoln asked
"assist me." Li Mei said
"on it." Lincoln said before teleporting behind kameleon and karate chopping her neck knocking her out
"no interferences." Li Mei said before beginning the battle

however this caused them to be surrounded by umgadi
"priestesses..." li Mei began "you know who I am. Of my deeds when I was one of you. I may no longer be welcome but in my heart I am still umgadi. I will always honour my vows."
the umgadi stopped for a minute
"they're here to end a threat to the empress. Stand against and she will lose the throne." Li Mei said "stand with us and we will save the empire."
eventually the umgadi believed her and took them to the empress with Tanya in tow
"why leave me alive?" Tanya asked
"because we're not enemies." Li Mei said
"and keeping you alive will help prove that." Liu kang said
soon they reached the throne room where sindel kitana and mileena were
"how dare you li Mei." Sindel said "it's not enough that you'd let jerrod be murdered. You'd let Liu kang destroy the rest of my family?"
"my heart broke when your husband died." Li Mei said "I lost not only my emperor but you my closest friend. I know you may never forgive me but don't be blinded by anger and grief. We are here to help."
suddenly Tanya used her rope cuffs to try and choke li Mei as the umgadi drew their spears
Lincoln instantly melted their spears
"can't we have a civil conversation?" Lincoln asked
kitana went attack li Mei after li Mei was done with Tanya
mileena tried to go fight but sindel stopped her
"really?" Lincoln asked "if you're not gonna let her fight what's the point of her being empress if she can't?"
"as much as I hate to admit it he's right." mileena said as she broke from her mother's grip and tried to attack Lincoln
"you know I'd hate to punch a bisexual in the face." Lincoln said as he dodged meelina's attacks
"what's that? An insult?" mileena asked
"not really... you like both boys and girls romantically." Lincoln said
"no I don't!" mileena said
"well you definitely ain't straight the way you are with Tanya proves that." Lincoln said while shrugging
mileena's tarkatan features began to show
"meelina no!" Sindel said as she tried to stop meelina
meelina tried to attack sindel but was stopped by li Mei who finished her fight with kitana
"and there's my door!" Lincoln said as he activated his spell
suddenly mileena stopped being feral and had complete control of her body
"what did you do?" Sindel asked
"I cured her of tarkat." Lincoln said "at least the fatal and sanity aspect of it."
"you did?" Kitana asked
"yea she should be able to transform at will." Lincoln said "and she can't spread it either."
"I thank you." mileena said as turned back to normal
after sindel finshed thanking li Mei she turned to the two gods
"now what is it you want?" Sindel asked "you send spies into outworld without my knowledge."
"I believed that Shang tsung posed a threat and I did not want to burden you with my suspicions."said
"and did they come up true?" Sindel asked
"yes shang tsung, Quan chi, the general all plotting against you." Liu kang said
"we also have evidence of Shang tsung admitting to the murder of an entire family." Lincoln added
"that's a bold claim. Where's your proof?" Sindel asked
"in Shang tsung's laboratory." Liu kang said "if what you see there doesn't convince you I will surrender earth realm without a fight."
"very well then lead the way." Sindel said
and with that they began to head to Shang tsung's laboratory
