Note: Okay, chapter three, and, so far, the story hasn't introduced every new member of the team. I suppose that I can introduce everyone in a later chapter, but I'm not sure which one. Okay, in order to prevent myself from rambling, I shall let chapter three arrive.

Chapter 3: Back to Acmetropolis

From within her house, a fennec fox was working on her computer. It was just another boring day for her, as nothing important was going on. As she typed, the vulpine ignored the fact that someone was knocking on her door. When the door was knocked again, the fennec got up from her chair and went to it. Opening the door, she was greeted by a little boy.

"What is it?" The fennec asked.

"Didn't you hear the news?" The boy asked.

"No, why?" She asked.

"Because the Loonatics are coming back!" He said in excitement.

"What? Really?"

"Yeah, I hope that they give autographs!"

"I hope so, too. Look, I'm kinda busy right now, so can I go back to what I was doing?"

"Sure."

The fennec closed her door and went back to typing on her laptop. While she didn't show it, she was quite happy that the Loonatics were coming back to Acmetropolis. In fact, the vulpine was hoping to speak with the team themselves. This was because she, like many, had gained powers from the meteor strike. When she gained her powers, she wanted to keep them to herself. However, upon hearing about the Loonatics, the fennec felt happy that there were many people who had powers like her.

Maybe I could talk to them when they arrive. The fennec thought to herself. I hope that my powers meet their standards.

In the hallways of Acmetropolis University, a young man was walking to the exit. Classes were over for the day, so he was free to leave. While walking to the door, he saw a white tigress standing next to it.

"Hi Jack!" The tiger greeted.

"Ingrid," Jack, the young man, said, "you're looking good today."

"Thanks," Ingrid said, "did you hear the news?"

"Yeah, I just can't believe that the Loonatics are back in town!" The human smiled.

"With your powers, you should be able to join them." The feline stated. "All you have to do is ask them."

"I don't think that I can join the team. I mean, I want to, but I don't think that they would want a guy like me on the team. Besides, I think that the club's pretty full."

"Oh, nonsense! Your powers, added to the fact that you're half-demon, should be enough to land you a spot on the team!"

"I guess you're right. Maybe I could ask them when I see them. See you later!"

"You too! Tell Diane I said 'hi'!"

Jack walked out of Acmetropolis University and began to walk down the sidewalk. The fact that the Loonatics had come back gave him the opportunity to talk with them and join the team. The human-demon hybrid felt happy, knowing that he could talk to the city-planet's former defenders. All he needed was to show off his powers. In addition, he just needed to talk to one of the members.

A dog was sitting on a bench at the park, reading a magazine. That was until an Arctic fox came up to him.

"Hi Diane." He greeted.

"Did you hear that the Loonatics were coming back to Acmetropolis, Simon?" Diane asked.

"Yes," Simon, the dog, said, "and I'm going to ask to join them the moment I see them."

"Why?" The white vixen asked.

"Because I'm sick of being labeled as spineless." The dog said. "If I join the Loonatics, I might learn how to fight and get a better mastery of my powers."

"Don't you have the ability to manipulate your own bone marrow?"

"Yeah, but it might prove to be useful. Besides, I can just fight if my powers aren't always useful."

Diane gasped, her telepathy picking up something.

"What is it?" Simon asked.

"They're coming!" Diane stated.

True to Diane's word, a spaceship came flying to the ground. When it landed, its main door opened up. Out from the door came Zadavia and the Loonatics, who were greeted by police officers and fans. The team walked through, going down the street.

"So, when do we look for these new recruits?" Duck asked.

"We can look for them anytime." Zadavia answered.

"Should we split up?" Ace asked.

"Each of you should be careful." Zadavia warned. "Just because you've dealt with threats in the past doesn't mean that there aren't more now. Duck and Lexi, you go together. Rev, go looking with Tech. Slam, you'll go with me and Ace. Is that understood, Loonatics?"

The team nodded before splitting up. Ace and Slam followed Zadavia as they continued down the street while Lexi and Duck went up the road. As for Tech and Rev, they decided to head down to the Town Hall. The Loonatics knew that they had to be careful, due to how a new threat could arrive at any moment. Hopefully, they could find new members before they got attacked by a new villain.

An unknown figure was watching the Loonatics from the rooftop of a building. He was wearing a cloak to conceal his identity, preventing anyone from finding out who he was.

"So, the Loonatics have returned?" He spoke to himself. "Little do they know, I have powers that can beat theirs. They may have triumphed over many criminals in the past, but they won't triumph over me. Get ready to suffer a terrible end, Loonatics."

Note: Oh boy, a new threat. The Loonatics are going to have to get some new recruits before he can attack them. As for the new recruits, more of them will be introduced, so don't worry. I hope that all of you are doing okay, given what's going on in the world today. What did you guys think about this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review or give a constructive criticism stating what you like and what you don't like. Until next time guys, peace!
