Note: Ugh, College. I mean, I have a few more weeks left of it, but it's still someone rough to get through. Along with that, it's really expensive. Why can't we just have free College?

Okay, enough of my College rant, this isn't one of those movies that completely distort what College is really like. Now, it's time to get on with the story. I admit, I am kinda going far with some of the stuff I write about in stories like this. However, they are M-rated stories and they contain sensitive material. That being said, I hope that everyone is okay with it. Before we move on, I have something to say to two reviewers.

The White Wolf named Alex: Well, I don't think I'm really a master when it comes to writing and developing characters, but thanks for the review. I hope that you like this chapter.

Ron: Yeah, limb regeneration would be cool. However, for us to have it, the human race would have to evolve to that point, or we would have to mutate. A third option would be to be from a species of monsters, like how Jack and Klara are. Thanks for the review, and I hope that you like this chapter.

Alright, now that I've done that, it's time for chapter twelve (aka Part Four of Four)!

Chapter 12: An Act of Vengeance

When morning arrived, Tech and Rev said goodbye to the Mighty Loonatics. The new recruits told the coyote and the roadrunner that they would hold down the fort before another Loonatic arrived. In order to get back to Blanc, Tech pulled out a teleportation device that was as big as an index card, using it to scan him and Rev. After that, the two teleported off of Acmetropolis, leaving the Mighty Loonatics by themselves. Once the two other Loonatics were gone, the team spoke as they started to go to the door.

"Who do you think is coming next?" Jack asked.

"I hope it's the big guy, we could really use his tornado attacks!" Lori said.

"I disagree," Simon argued, "Ace might be coming to help us."

"That makes sense." Klara stated.

"He is the leader, after all." Teagan said.

"Wait," Jack said, then looked at Diane, "can you sense who's coming with your telepathy?"

"Jack, my telepathy's not strong enough to sense anyone who is in the next galaxy over!" Diane said.

"Really? That sucks!" The young man said.

"Sorry that our powers can't work for your convenience." John snarked.

"Besides, why would I need to use telepathy to scan for someone who's in another galaxy?" The Arctic vixen asked. "Why would I do it when they're already here?"

Before Jack could respond, the Mighty Loonatics heard a zapping noise behind them. The team stopped in their tracks, somewhat startled by the sound.

"Don't worry, guys, I'm an ally!" A familiar voice chuckled.

Turning around, the Mighty Loonatics saw Lexi standing near them. The doe was wearing her basic uniform, albeit with a satchel hanging off her side. The new recruits immediately greeted her.

"Hi Lexi." Jack spoke.

"Hey." Lexi responded.

"Good to know that Zadavia sent you, the Brain Blast of yours might help us against the villain we're chasing." Diane said.

"Can you help us track him down?" Simon asked.

"Sure thing," Lexi said, "but there's some stuff that I need to tell you before we go after him. Are you ready?"

"Fill our heads with the new info." Lori said.

"The man you're chasing is a criminal named Howard Jaffe." The doe stated. "He's a nasty piece of work who's broken out of jail twice."

"So, he'd be on his third strike if he went back to jail?" John spoke.

"You're right, John." The rabbit said.

"Then he's not going back to jail." The stag said as he cracked his knuckles. "When we catch the bastard, I'm going to kill him no quicker than it takes to make popcorn. I'd suggest staying out of my way when I have him cornered, as I'll make him feel the same pain as his victims!"

Lexi was taken aback by John's words.

"He wants revenge for what Jaffe did to his sister." Jack stated.

"I know," Lexi said, "but he doesn't have to brutally kill the guy."

"And you have a better way of dealing with criminals like him?" John snorted.

"My team has dealt with villains who are worse than Jaffe." The doe said. "While none of them have committed sexual assault, as far as I can tell, we didn't use lethal force on them, nor did we kill anyone while we served as Acmetropolis' protectors. I know that Jaffe has killed many innocents, including your sister, but it's not worth going to jail to get your revenge, John."

"It's not just revenge that I'm after, Lex, it's justice." The stag stated.

John walked away from the group, going back into HQ. The Mighty Loonatics looked on in concern, but Lexi gave a disapproving look.

"I'll go talk to him." Teagan said.

"No," Lexi said, "it's better for us to leave him alone, guys."

"But he's our teammate, shouldn't we check on him?" Jack asked.

"I don't think he's in the mood for that." The doe said.

"Trust us, he's been like that since his sister got killed." Diane put her hand on Lexi's shoulder. "He was much happier when he was younger, then Jaffe came and changed all of it."

Back in HQ, John was sitting on the couch. The stag was looking at the floor, pondering his thoughts. He wanted to avoid his teammates for the time being, seeing how his mission was his own. Despite that, the deer didn't want to see any of them get hurt by Jaffe, considering how much of a dangerous man he was.

"And look where that got me: I tried to help and one of my teammates still got hurt." John said to himself. "I'm just lucky that Jack can regenerate."

John then looked up at the roof, as if he had heard a bug flying in the air. He closed his eyes, focusing on making an orb of dark energy in his hands.

"If I don't catch that bastard and kill him, the others, the whole population of Acmetropolis by extension, will suffer." The stag said to himself. "I'm not afraid to remove them from my path, though, so they wouldn't be caught in the crossfire when I kill that bastard. However, I don't want them to get scared, so I might do it as quickly as possible."

Make him suffer! A voice screamed at him.

Boil his entrails with your attacks! Another voice roared.

Kill him! A third voice shouted.

Before John could respond to the voices, he heard the elevator door open. Out from it came Diane, who was holding a rectangular device that had a few lights on it.

"Jaffe is back," she said, "he's still lurking under the sewers!"

"Did he send anything out to attack the others?" John asked.

"No," Diane stated, "but we need to get out there before he can!"

"I'll be there in a few seconds!" The stag said as he stood up.

"Alright, but take your time!" The Arctic vixen said as she ran out of the room.

Once Diane was gone, John cracked his knuckles.

"Now's my chance!" The stag said as he got ready to go out.

Rip his head off and shit down his neck! A voice echoed in his mind.

Blind him and force him to do a jig! Another voice shouted.

No, I'm doing it my way! John responded to them. I'm killing Jaffe however I want to! If none of you like it, then shut up!

John then created a portal that lead to Acmetropolis. Going through it, he met up with his teammates.

"Great to see you here, Antlers!" Jack said.

"So, are you okay now?" Lexi asked.

"I'm fine, we just need to find where in the sewers Jaffe is located at." John said. "I highly doubt that he's hiding in one of the pathways."

"Well, where could he be at?" Simon asked.

I think I might know, but I can't confirm it if he doesn't come out." The stag answered.

"Oh, you can't confirm your theory if I don't come out, eh?" A familiar voice rang out.

All of a sudden, several water constructs came out of the sewers. They surrounded the Mighty Loonatics and Lexi, preventing them from escaping. The team braced themselves for impact, getting ready for battle.

"So, the Mighty Loonatics want to fight again?" Jaffe said in a mocking tone. "Oh, and look, one of the previous Loonatics came back! Does she want to watch me crush all of you?!"

"Wrong!" Lexi said as she fired a Brain Blast that went into a storm drain, which hit something.

Without warning, the water constructs distorted, as if they were breaking apart. Following them was a sharp scream, which came out of one of the constructs.

"Whoa, what's happening to them?!" Jack asked.

"I have a feeling that my Brain Blast hit Jaffe." Lexi stated.

"How can you be sure?" The young man asked.

"Do you seriously not see the water constructs dispersing right now?" Simon looked at him.

Once the water constructs were down, they started to float back into the sewer.

"We can't let them get away!" Diane said. "We have to move!"

"But how are we going to get in the sewers?" Lori asked.

"Yeah," Klara said, "we can't go to the main plant of the sewer system, because Jaffe might send out more water constructs and take hostages!"

"Looks like our only option is to go into the sewers through John's portals." Teagan said.

"Do you think you can take us there?" Lexi asked, looking at John.

"I'll do it, but I advise for all of you to stay out of my way when we reach him." John said as he got ready to create a portal.

"You don't need to tell us that every few minutes, you know." Jack said.

"And why shouldn't I do that?" The stag asked.

"Because you're repeating yourself, buddy." The young man answered. "If you're going to seek revenge, you shouldn't repeat the same words that have already come out of your mouth. In the very least, you should come up with new material."

"What he's trying to say is that you should have a speech prepared for certain occasions." Lexi explained.

John only nodded as he created a portal that led to the inner sewers. Upon seeing it, the Mighty Loonatics went through it. Now that they were in the sewers, the new recruits began to work out a strategy.

"Alright, we need to find what part of the sewers Jaffe is hiding in." Klara said.

"With that in mind, I'll use my telepathy to detect where he is." Diane said.

"And I'll have to use my Sonic Hearing to detect any noises that could be coming from Jaffe." Lexi stated, then looked at Diane. "So, it looks like we're working together on this part of the strategy."

"Then, when we find him, we'll step aside so that John can do what he's going to do with Jaffe." Jack said.

"But what if we get attacked by more of Jaffe's constructs?" Simon asked.

"Then we'll fight them off as John kills Jaffe." The young man said.

"We might need to light the way," Lori said, "the sewers get dark fast!"

The area around the Mighty Loonatics was almost completely encased in darkness. Upon seeing that, Jack conjured a fireball that would act as a torch. Along with that, Simon took out a flashlight, choosing not to turn it on until it was necessary. Knowing that there were two passages in front of them, Diane began to use her telepathy, intent on scanning which passage the Mighty Loonatics needed to go down. After a few seconds, the Arctic vixen cleared her throat.

"Which path do we need to go down?" Jack asked.

"The right path," Diane answered, "Jaffe is hiding in the chamber near the end."

"Good," John said, "then we're close to him. Diane, Lexi, lead the way."

Upon hearing that, Lexi turned on her Sonic Hearing, which allowed her to listen for Jaffe. Joining Diane's telepathy, the doe acted as the Mighty Loonatics' psychic spotters. The team walked down the passageway, with Simon shining his flashlight and Jack holding up a fireball as means of lighting the way. All of a sudden, Lexi and Diane stopped in their tracks. In response, John came up to them.

"Is the chamber near?" He asked.

"Yes, I can hear him breathing down there." Lexi said.

"But, there are also several constructs coming our way." Diane added.

"Figures," John said, "bastards like him will do anything to evade capture."

"Don't worry, we'll fight the constructs while you take care of your personal biz." Jack said.

Out from nowhere, several water constructs lunged at the Mighty Loonatics. However, the team readied themselves for this, fighting back with their powers. John watched on as his teammates took each construct down. The fact that Lexi, a member of the original Loonatics, was helping out only made the sight better.

"Dude, go, take down Jaffe!" Jack shouted at John.

"We can handle these creeps, just go do what you have to!" Lori said.

Cracking his knuckles, John ran down the passageway, intent on reaching the chamber. However, before he could reach it, a water construct stopped him.

"Stop right there!" Jaffe spoke through it. "You're leaving your friends in the company of my constructs, kid! Why aren't you helping them? Are you afraid that they'll die if you do? How odd, considering how they're having an easy time taking down each of my constructs. As for you, you can't even fight my constructs without using your powers. It looks like you won't be able to avenge your sister, as you so claim!"

"Oh, yeah?" John said, charging up a dark energy blast.

Without hesitation, John threw an energy blast at the construct. After that, it dispersed as Jaffe let out a scream, with the other constructs doing the same. Once that was out of the way, John made his way to the middle of the chamber, only to see that no one was there.

"Where are you, Jaffe?!" He shouted. "Come on out and face me, you bastard!"

All of a sudden, a man hobbled out to John. He had black eyes and reddish brown hair. He was wearing a cream tank top, tattered denim leggings and boots. His right arm had a massive gash on it, causing the limb to limply hang off his shoulder. The man's eyes had a look of pure malice, making it seem like he was planning something horrible. This man was none other than Howard Jaffe.

"So," he spoke, "you've come down here."

"Yes," John said, "and now it's time to pay."

"Time to pay?" Jaffe laughed as he summoned several water constructs, speaking as he sent them to attack the Mighty Loonatics. "My foolish friend, your friends are going to be the ones who pay! You've pretty much signed their death certificates by having them come with you! Now, not only are they going to die, but you'll die with them! And, after that, I, Howard Jaffe, will be free to do whatever I want! Looks like your mission to avenge your sister failed, boy!"

Before John could attack, he overheard several laser blasts. This was followed by water rushing down the chamber's walls, going back to Jaffe.

"So much for trying to kill my friends." John snorted.

Lexi came into the chamber, firing a Brain Blast at the water. She came up to John, who was glaring at Jaffe.

"What are you doing in here?" John asked, not taking his eyes off of Jaffe.

"I just thought that I could help." Lexi said. "Besides, you need to get closer to him."

"You're right about that." The stag stated.

"But he won't get close enough to strike the killing blow!" Jaffe taunted, unleashing another water construct, which was massive enough to fill the chamber.

Lexi and John were unfazed by the water construct, only annoyed. Glaring at the monster, Lexi fired a Brain Blast at the construct, causing it to disperse. Upon seeing that, John charged up a dark energy blast. Once it was ready, the stag fired it at Jaffe, which threw him at a wall. Collapsing into the water, the murderer struggled to pull himself out. This proved to be his undoing, as John and Lexi were immediately near him.

"Don't bother trying to use your powers," John said, "the attack I used on you destroyed them. Turns out, I don't need to charge up my dark energy and touch someone to remove their superheroes."

"Well, you might as well get your revenge, Antlers." Lexi told him.

Jaffe backed up against the wall, being in a state of fear. John only approached him, cracking his knuckles.

"K-kid, please, I-I-I d-don't want to die!" Jaffe stammered. "If y-you want me to do something, I'll d-do it! Please don't hurt me!"

"My sister must have said the same thing to you." John said, his voice turning wrathful. "But you killed her anyway, you sick fucker! Now, you're going to rot in hell for everything you have done! I do this not only for my sister, Adrianna, but also for the COUNTLESS OTHER LIVES YOU HAVE RUINED!"

John then grabbed Jaffe and brutally pummeled him, breaking his nose with a single punch. After that, the stag got out a pocket knife and rammed the blade into the murderer's neck. The criminal struggled and let out gurgled noises as blood trickled out of his neck and mouth. Pulling the blade out of him, John then slammed him against the wall and fired a blast at his head. Once that was out of the way, Jaffe's body, a now mutilated mess, slid down the wall and into the water. The man known as Howard Jaffe was no more.

"I'll leave the rest to whoever finds him." John said.

Lexi was disgusted, seeing the disturbing lengths John went to kill Jaffe. However, she immediately put that aside, as she felt it wouldn't be right for her to yell at the man who killed the person who ruined his life. After all, she had seen horror movies, including the ones that had plenty of gore, so this was nothing new to her.

"Dying in the sewers." Lexi spoke. "A fitting end to a man like Jaffe."

John opened up two portals that led back to HQ. One was in front of him and Lexi, while the other was near the rest of the team.

"C'mon, let's head home." John spoke.

Nodding her head, Lexi followed John through the portal, making their way back to HQ. Soon after, the rest of the Mighty Loonatics entered through the other portal. Once everyone was in the room, they immediately spoke with John.

"John, what went on down there?" Simon asked.

"Yeah, we heard you screaming and going berserk down there." Jack spoke. "You're normally such a quiet guy."

"I finally got my revenge." John said.

After that, John sat down on the couch, laying his head back. The Mighty Loonatics didn't say anything, only choosing to leave the room. As for Lexi, she sat down on the recliner in silence. The doe saw how peaceful John looked. The stag had a smile on his face, which had to have been the first time anyone in the Loonatics saw him smile. Lexi only smiled back, but she was mostly relieved that the Mighty Loonatics' ordeal was over.

Sis, if you're watching, I killed the bastard who did what he did to you. John thought to himself. If only you were here to see this.

Note: And that's it for this chapter. I never thought that I would put a huge amount of effort into it, though, as I have been neglecting stories like this in favor of my Star Fox ones. However, I can't promise that I'll be working on my stories all the time, as I have things going on in my personal life. Despite that, I'll work on them whenever I'm able to. I hope that you have enjoyed this chapter, and that you'll stay tuned for the next one. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
