A smile that could kill

There she is again, punctual as always to her monthly visit...

A certain pink haired woman can't help but think to herself as she observes the dark purple haired stoic general strolling through the sacred grounds towards the Sacred Sakura, bowing in respect, before kneeling in front of the centenarian tree to place her hands on her knees and close her eyes to begin praying.

Yae can't help but let out a heavy sigh as she rests her head on the palm of her hand watching the solemn expression adorning the features of the woman as she does so.

- What a waste…

Yae sighs, looking with an almost sad expression at the stoic and solemn general knelt at the tree's base praying, thinking on how much of a waste is that she has never got to see Sara smiling.

The pink haired woman lets out another heavy sigh and turns around ready to go back to her duties, when the lively chirping of a bird stops her.

A soft smile spreads across her lips ready to greet the little one, when to her surprise, she finds said small bird jumping and chirping happily around the stoic general.

A chuckle escapes her lips upon the arduous efforts of the small bird to catch the general's attention, before she watches the warrior opening her eyes to hold one of her hands out to the feathered creature, seeing the bird jumping onto her hand without further delay whatsoever while its chirping becomes more lively if possible.

Yae's eyes can only widen at the soft sight in front of her, before her breath gets caught in her throat upon the gentle expression on the general's face, a soft smile spreading across Sara's lips as she pets the bird on her hand.

The priestess' heart races as she hears a quiet giggle escaping Sara's lips to join the small bird happy chirping while it nuzzles the warrior's hand, making the general's smile widen, before more birds come to the encounter of their fellow, chirping as if they were talking with it and before they all take flight together, seeing the general wave at them goodbye with a soft smile still playing on her lips.

- You know? You should smile more, you have a beautiful smile.

Yae breaks the peaceful moment walking closer to the other woman as Sara chooses that exact moment to get up from the ground and turn around to look at her with an arched eyebrow.

- I bet a lot of people would die to see you smiling.

Yae says with a grin playing on her lips, quickly seeing a frown appearing on Sara's beautiful features, before a look of pure horror replaces it.

- I can kill people if I smile?

Yae hears Sara mumbling terrified, making her snort upon such a ridiculous idea yet finding it terribly cute, before she takes a step closer to grab Sara's chin gently and oblige the other woman to look at her, getting lost in her mesmerizing golden eyes before pulling her cheeks up to imitate a smile.

- Don't be ridiculous. Now come on, try to smile.

She commands her, letting Sara try to smile for herself just to see an awkward grimace taking over her lips.

A heavy sigh escapes her lips as she palms Sara's cheeks lightly.

- Ah, forget it.

Yae exhales much to her dismay, taking a step back and turning around to go back to the shrine and her duties, when Sara's voice stops her.

- Lady Yae – she hears Sara calling her by her name, turning to look back at her – Thank you.

She simply says, giving Yae a genuine smile that goes through her heart like an arrow, making her place her hands over it to calm its ridiculous fast beating.

- Y-you're welcome.

Yae mumbles, turning around to hide the embarrassing blush dusting her cheeks as she fastens her pace, leaving a confused general behind truly thinking her smile can kill people or maybe just give them some kind of heart attack just like it did with Yae.
