Introductions are never her strongest forte. Let alone those that constitute being somewhat bullied.

While she happens to be a very talkative person and can keep on rambling for hours on whatever subjects that her brain conjures up, it takes her quite some time to open up to that level.

Now add to the fact that her new peers are of a different ethnicity and race, it makes her opening up to them a lot more awkward.

She pursed her lips awkwardly, feeling heavy second-hand embarrassment as Haibara danced to that Leekspin song that was popular on the internet.

Nanami shared the same sentiments, for he had covered his face with the palm of his hand, looking anywhere but at Haibara.

He performed the most humiliating steps known to mankind, and Sanvi showed her support by not looking at him. Inside, she was dying of second-hand embarrassment.

She leaned a little toward Ieiri-senpai who had placed her hand on Sanvi's shoulder, hiding her head on her hand to hide her raucous chortles.

On the other side, Geto-senpai was guffawing, hunched over a bit while a cackling Gojo leaned over his back, who had his phone out and seemed to be recording.

Poor Haibara was...not a good dancer.

Sanvi wondered if this was necessary.

She had already introduced herself well enough in front of Fujikawa-sensei, Nanami, and Haibara a few days ago during their first mission together. To be honest, she does not understand how she felt about it.

While she was a big fan of Harry Potter and wished the wizarding world was real, this was not what she asked for.

A curse had appeared in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Tokyo. Since Nanami and Haibara had been in Jujutsu High for a few days now, Sanvi was asked to exorcise this curse so Fujikawa-sensei could gauge her skill level.

Realizing that this was basically a test, the jitteriness had returned to her in full force.

Fujikawa-sensei had pulled her back, telling her to let go of her curse energy freely. And while she was very reluctant about that particular request, the blonde-haired woman reassured her that if the building went down in flames she wouldn't be held liable.

And so with the barrier deployed, she had entered the warehouse alone.

The curse (apparently that's what the wizarding community of their universe calls them), was not as strong as the one that appeared back in Anya's garden, but still stronger than most common ones.

It was not a graceful work either. Not hard, but very messy. At first, she checked the warehouse for the signs of any humans, just in case. Next, after running into the curse, she tried a few bursts of flame and fireballs to burn it down from far away, but it was fast. It approached her in a zig-zag fashion like a zigzagoon.

Squawking, she closed her eyes and just let the flames go full force. She does not remember for how long the flames emanated from her, but by the time she stopped the curse was nowhere to be seen. She did not sense anything wrong either, which means it must have been exorcised.

But that feeling...she still vividly remembers the feeling.

Not the feeling of killing the curse, but freely just letting go of the cursed energy without having to worry about the grave consequences that are sure to follow. There was a feeling of relaxing emptiness inside her, one that left her feeling a bit light-headed, or was it slightly intoxicated?

It felt as if days of pent-up tension in her veins had disappeared with a poof.

Falling onto her knees, surrounded by her own fire, she had failed to notice a thumping sound from somewhere in the distance. She does remember staring at the bright orange flames and falling into some sort of trance.

It was beautiful. Breathtaking. Gorgeous.

The orange flames had burned and flickered up to the dark sky through the broken roof, casting a warm glow all around her. She had continued to observe, eyes widening when suddenly a flame in front of her had changed shape. She had watched, transfixed, as it took the shape of what looked like a...cat - one which walked on two legs.

The cat had leaped around in the air, leaving trails of sparks behind it. It had performed various Olympics-worthy gymnastics making her doubt whether it was really her creation (she was by no means an artist), and suddenly it was chasing around a small fire mouse that materialized out of the fire. The pair of fire creatures did various silly and dramatic tricks, reminding her of the old times when she would watch Tom and Jerry on the TV with her grandmother.

She had laughed loudly at a particularly silly mimicry of the old show before the laughter ended up in her coughing fit.

It was only then that she became aware of the presence of the smoke in the warehouse. And while the flames won't kill, the smoke definitely will asphyxiate her.

What happened after that is honestly a blur, for she does not remember how she ended up outside. Nanami and Haibara would later inform her that Fujikawa-sensei had helped her outside.

She had honestly expected disappointment from her, but she had just laughed and patted her back.

"That's quite an impressive technique you have there." That was the only thing she had said, promising that she would help Sanvi figure this out. She had no idea what this technique was that she was talking about.

Was her technique making cats and mouses of fire and having them perform comedy skits?

For the next few days, their sensei had arranged for them various sorts of training sessions. Some very basic ones to help them control their cursed energy.

Apparently, her cursed energy was special in the sense that it was in the form of a fire. Having a unique property to one's cursed energy happens to be, well, unique.

And extremely rare, if Ieiri-senpai is to be believed.

Having a name for the stupid fire was somehow better. Made her feel less like she alone belonged in a mental facility.

Now she felt a lot more people belonged in the same mental facility with her.

Especially that Gojo.

3 weeks later, their afternoon training had consisted of a simple meditation session - though turns out it was not as simple as it seemed. Five seconds in and her thoughts were already floating to more serious problems in her life, like how she was going to defeat stupid Cynthia and her stupid Garchomp. And that menace of a Spiritomb, and that tank of a Milotic and her entire team to be honest.

Her own Garchomp, Sandy, was the only one giving her team a fighting chance, but other than that Cynthia had her pummeled. She vaguely remembers singeing the end of her comforter in between screams of frustration.

As she mentioned before, she is a big fan.

In the middle of the session, she realized her thoughts were going haywire and peeked an eye open to see what Nanami and Haibara were up to. Nanami was probably facing the same troubles as them, his brows furrowed but at least he had his eyes closed and seemed to be concentrating.

On the other hand, Haibara was looking at something at a distance, before he perked up, his face showing determination. She followed his gaze, only to come across a trio sitting on the stairs to the ground.

Her eyes fell on Gojo.

He pulled his glasses down a bit with a finger and winked.

She gave him an unimpressed stare.

"FOCUS!" Fujikawa-sensei's sharp voice snapped.

Alarmed, she closed her eyes, trying to get back to meditation. From far away a bark of laughter reached her ears, causing her to huff in anger.

After the training was over, she and Nanami had quietly tried to slip away from the second-years, finding an excuse to talk to Fujikawa-sensei about something related to the lesson.

Which was a lie of course. There was no question, but she was sure they would figure something out.

As soon as they approached her, she shooed them away, muttering something about meetings and elders. Pouting, Sanvi glanced back to find Haibara missing. Sure enough, they could make out his cheerful voice mixed with a very annoying one.

"Hey, newbies! Get your asses back here!"

Nanami and she shared a disgruntled glance, mournfully looking at the back of their teacher, who seemed like she was marching on to war. And this is how they found themselves stuck in this humiliating position. She'd rather take the mission that sensei had planned for them tomorrow.

Sanvi cringed hard as Haibara continued dancing, despite the second-years dying from laughter. And to think it was Geto-senpai's idea. She must have been staring at him, because he turned to look at her. She blushed, quickly looking away.

"Okay, okay. That's enough. Good job Haibara. I officially induct you into the ranks of Tokyo's trainee sorcerers. Jaani, you are next."

Of course, it was Gojo. Sanvi yawned before rolling her eyes.

"I told you not to call me that. Aren't you people supposed to be really polite and calling people by their surnames only?"

"You were the one who said to call you by your first name, Sanbi." It was Geto-senpai who pointed it out. He rested his hard on the palm of his hand, smiling gently, his bangs blowing with the wind. Her insides turned to mush.

"It's SAN-VVVI, not Sanbi. And I did not mean that he could call me Jaani. That's too personal." She almost whined, before realizing what she was doing.

Geto-senpai let out a short laugh (such a deep voice, she noticed with a small sigh) before her fluttering eyes caught sight of the slightly surly expression on Gojo's face. The expression vanished as soon as it came when he realized she was watching.

She wondered if he was jealous that she was talking to Geto-senpai. After all, they were awfully close.

Like, really close.

Plus, she did hear Ieiri-san commenting on being the third wheel a few days ago.

Pulling her hair back, she scooted a bit away from him, lest Gojo think of...other ways to get her away from his Geto. Shoko noticed the wary glance she sent Gojo (who smiled like a Cheshire cat, deeply unsettling her), and snorted, before patting her arm.

"Talk about possessive," Sanvi muttered to the brown-haired girl.

"Oh, you don't even know the half of it," she muttered back, and Sanvi looked back at Gojo who was laughing at something Geto-senpai had said. His head was tilted back, snow-white hair gleaming in the evening sun. He leaned back on his elbows, gaze not leaving the black-haired boy's face even for a second.

Her eyes briefly landed on his throat, Adam's apple visible as he smiled gently at something the other boy said. She glanced away, rather not be caught ogling him.

A dainty hand slapped her on the back.

"Well, let's start with you shall we?" Ieiri-senpai grinned at her, and Sanvi sighed. Standing from her place in between Ieiri-senpai and Geto-senpai, she stretched before dusting her skirt. Haibara and Nanami looked at her in solidarity and she pursed her lips.

Walking down the stairs, she stood in front of them.

"Fine, fire away your questions."

"Well, I hope you don't fire your answers," Gojo commented, and she gave him a sarcastic smile.

"Haha, very funny."

"Even I have a lot of questions," Haibara said, smiling sheepishly at her. "It's not like I get to see foreigners every day."

"Is that your natural hair or did you dye it? And what about the curls? Is it a perm?" Ieiri-senpai interrupted Haibara, looking at her auburn-red hair carefully. Poor Haibara sputtered, while Sanvi squawked in denial.

"No way! From the color to the curls, it's all-natural. I'm very proud of my hair, okay! Don't even dare accuse my pretty hair like that again!"

"Someone's sense-tinder."

"That's bad, even for you Satoru," Geto senpai said, rolling his eyes at him before turning to her. "Do you come from a sorcerer family?"

"Nope, other than my brother no one in my family can even see curses."

"Yeah, he is a sorcerer isn't he?"

Sanvi hummed in agreement.

"Yeah, a semi-grade one sorcerer."

"Now, it's my turn!" Gojo declared, and she rolled her eyes.

"Do you have to?" Sanvi muttered.

"What does your name mean?" He asked, placing his head in his hands like a curious child.

Sanvi scratched her cheek in thought.

"I, kind of, don't know? Apparently, in my religion, it is another name for the goddess of wealth or something like that. But I'm not sure about the real literal meaning."

"Okay, now tell me about your hobbies!" Ieiri-senpai asked. Haibara's simple answer of eating didn't seem to impress her. On the other hand, Nanami's hobby of cooking interested all of them, but his hobby of reading was only received well by Geto as the others called it boring.

"Uhhh...I don't think I have any?"

"Who doesn't have any hobbies?" Gojo asked, and Sanvi didn't know if his tone was curious or mocking. Geto coughed behind him, and the white-haired boy sneered a bit at him. Shaking her head at their antics, Shoko looked at her expectantly.

Sanvi scratched her cheek in embarrassment.

"Well, I never really got the time to nurture a hobby as such. There was school and studies and then my dance practice. Though I wanted to study a lot of things in detail like Indian history and politics, I don't get the time for that either."

"So your hobby is dancing?" the brown-haired girl said, looking at her with wide eyes.

"I am a classical dancer, it's not a mere hobby. It's something I take very seriously."

"Say, do you speak Indian?" Haibara asked, his eyes wide. Sanvi sighed, laughing a bit at the question.

"Uhh, there is no such language as "Indian". You might be thinking of Hindi, but don't ever assume every Indian speaks Hindi because some people find it offensive. We have hundreds of languages and even more dialects of those, you know? As for me, my mother tongue is Hindi. Well technically, my actual language is a regional one which is a predecessor to Hindi but is closely related to it. But still, Hindi is because I don't speak it outside family. Other than that, I'm fluent in English and average in Japanese. But coming to languages, Nanami don't you speak Danish?"

"Oooohhhh!"

"Oi Nanami, is that true?" Ieiri-senpai asked, looking impressed.

Everyone turned to look at Nanami, who gave her a death stare for letting all the attention come to him. She shrugged her shoulder, smiling.

"Yes."

"That's so cool!" Haibara exclaimed, looking at his blond friend with wonder in his eyes. Sanvi wondered why this ball of sunshine wanted to be a sorcerer at all.

"Why don't you speak something in Danish? I want to hear!" Gojo said, smiling mischievously as he got another chance to be a menace to society.

Nanami scoffed.

"She knows 2-3 languages. More impressive than me. Ask her to be your parrot."

"Well, she certainly is." Geto-senpai agreed, smiling in such a way that made her blush to the roots of her red hair.

"Yeah yeah, very impressive," Gojo muttered, and she looked at him sharply.

"Well Gojo, definitely more impressive than you. Though I suppose it must be hard counting your blessing over the sound of people swearing at you left and right."

He turned to her with whiplash, rolling his eyes.

"That's Gojo-senpai to you, brat."

"Fuck off?"

"You really should show some respect, Jaani dear. After all, I'm the strongest."

"Congrats. Should I arrange a procession in your honor?"

He looked at her snidely, before blinking as if a light bulb went up in his head. A sharp smile made its way onto his face, and she couldn't help the weird feeling in her stomach at the sight of it.

"What's the meaning of Jaani?" He asked, tilting his head.

She blinked, before narrowing her eyes suspiciously.

"Why?"

A very genuine-looking smile made its way onto his face, and she almost cringed at how fake he was.

"Just curious."

"Isn't that what your brother called you? Sounds like a pet name, most of which are embarrassing. Now I am curious too." Ieiri-senpai asked, reminding her that there was a reason she got along so well with Gojo and Geto-senpai.

Well, she can't say no to the only other girl here.

"Uh yes, my family calls me that. It's a term of affection in our language. Like darling, sweetheart...that's the meaning basically. So don't use it so casually," she said, before narrowing her eyes in suspicion at Gojo's smug grin, "on the other hand, call me whatever you want. The more I tell you not to, the more you will do it."

Gojo stuck out his tongue at her, and she pursed her lips to stop herself from smiling.

While he was pretty arrogant, he was still amusing in a very sarcastic and blunt way. Unlike all these overtly polite people, he seemed more like someone she would find back at home. He was open about what he thought and didn't seem to have a reason to be polite.

Not like that she liked that attitude, but it still made her feel a bit secure at the honest behavior- even if it was a bad one.

"What a clown." She muttered at his childish tactics.

"Ehhhhhhhh? Clown?"

Gojo suddenly clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention to him. Then he leaned over a little, pulling his glasses down with a finger and looking at her with a mischievous look.

"I know what I want you to do! Perform a clown act for me!"

"I have just joined your circus, I am afraid I still need to be trained by a high-ranking clown like you."

"Do it. I'm not accepting a no."

Sanvi huffed, feeling the slight peer pressure. But scratching her cheek, she felt how light and happy the environment was. Not to mention, this was an amazing opportunity to build a deeper relationship with her new classmates here by entertaining them like a monkey.

Her gaze had not left Gojo's beautiful blue one, when she suddenly had an LED light (save electricity guys) turned on in her brain.

An almost evil smile curled up on her lips, and she quickly pulled her glasses off her.

"Okay, okay. I will. Let me just put my glasses back so I cannot see you guys laughing at me."

She walked up the stairs, a little above where Gojo was sitting. He was already chattering something about god knows what with Geto, a somewhat gentle expression that looked very out of place on his face.

She put her glasses in it's case and placed it in her bag. She took a look at everyone. Ieiri-san was typing something on her phone, Haibara was animatedly talking (badgering) Nanami over what sounded like Danish, and the other two were already in their own world.

It has to be quick.

She saw Geto spare a glance at her, and she did waver in her resolve. Will he get the wrong idea? The last thing she wants him to think is that she was trying to get too close to his best friend, boyfriend, or whatever they are to each other. Ieiri-senpai says both are oblivious to each other's feelings, which sounds unbelievable with how obvious they both are.

Leaning on her knees behind Gojo, she quickly pulled his head back towards her. His wide blue eyes stared up at her, glasses low on his nose and his cheeks squished between her hands. She gave him a victorious smile.

Snatching the opportunity thanks to the element of surprise, she swiped his sunglasses off his face. Whooping in victory, she quickly jumped away from him and in front of the others.

Pulling on his glasses, she pulled her hair out of her ponytail. Pasting an arrogant smirk on her face, she placed her hands in the pockets of her skirt (especially requested), standing in a pose that you would normally find Gojo in.

Ieiri-senpai choked on her spit, laughing and coughing at the same time. Haibara looked stunned, Nanami intrigued and Geto-senpai looked as if she had pointed him the path to the Wizard of Oz.

Gojo, on the other hand...Sanvi did not bother looking at him, feeling a bit shy to meet his eyes.

She let out a large sigh, one that Gojo normally did, before pulling a hand out of her pocket and ruffling her hair, an annoyed expression on her face.

"Another useless mission. Even someone as weak as these first years can deal with this. Argghh, it's such a pain in the ass looking out for these normies. And who even cares what they think? I see no reason why we even bother concealing ourselves." she said, posing in the various ways he posed whenever girls flocked to him in public.

Next, she turned to Geto-senpai who had a phone in his hand, recording her little act. Beside him, Ieiri-senpai was positively wheezing, cigarette forgotten in hand. Gojo, on the other hand, was gobsmacked, staring at her with wide eyes.

"Especially you and I, Suguru. We are the strongest, after all. Huh? What did you say Suguru? I should be more polite? Screw that! Who cares if a bunch of weaklings get offended? Works in our favor actually, wouldn't want their uselessness to rub off onto us! After all, all I want is just you and I-"

"That's enough outta you brat!"

She couldn't help the laugh that escaped her lips when Gojo stood up suddenly and jumped the stairs to reach her. While she knew he wouldn't hurt her, seeing a huge boy jumping at them still makes one react in self-defense.

She quickly backpaddled, pulling the glasses off and throwing them in his direction. He caught them and placed them in his pockets, but continued approaching her with a very intimidating expression. He looked annoyed, but not offended as such.

Behind him, everyone had dissolved into laughter. She could see tears in the corners of Getou-senpai's eyes, and Ieiri-senpai was already crying in laughter.

"Not that of a good expression, but you were able to pin the trashiness within him." She let out another high-pitched laughter, trying to breathe and wipe away her tears simultaneously. Haibara was not even looking in their direction as he did not want Gojo to know he was laughing at a senior but was failing spectacularly. Even Nanami was chortling, and that did feel like a big accomplishment.

But the best one had to be Gojo's face. Which was glowering at her and she cackled, covering her mouth with her hand.

"Come on Satoru, you did ask her to act like a clown." It was Geto-senpai's arm on his shoulder that made Gojo's attention shift to his best friend, who met his glower with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, whatever." The white-haired boy muttered, "I do not act so childishly anyway."

Behind them, Sanvi heard Ieiri-senpai snort, earning a short glare from her classmate.

"Well, I am not good at acting. But you must admit that I at least got the essence right." She said, a smile making its way on her face. While she wasn't fond of him, one has to admit that watching him get annoyed and pout over small things was entertaining.

That is until he doesn't say something nasty.

She saw his eye twitch in annoyance, and her smile became more genuine.

"Okay fine, sorry. Consider this a payback for our first introduction, yeah?"

Something in his face changed, and he scoffed. His annoyance seemed to dissipate. That was a good thing about him, he didn't take things much seriously. That is, if you don't take into consideration the reason why he did so, which was that he didn't consider others worth his time.

Stretching his arm and yawning, he made his way toward the dorm. But not before making sure to bump his shoulder with hers. At least that was what he intended, but he forgot to take in the factor of his height and weight and ended up bumping her head and knocking her off her feet.

A strong grip on her arms helped in stabilizing her, and she blushed as Geto-senpai apologetically smiled at her.

"Sorry about that, don't mind him."

Sanvi shrugged, rubbing her head. With an awkward smile, she looked everywhere but his eyes.

"Kinda my fault."

He seemed satisfied with his response and followed his best friend to the dorms. She kept looking at his back, a warm feeling in her stomach.
