"Ughhhh, this is so much harder than I thought." Natsu pouted throwing his phone on his bed, catching the attention of his raven-haired best friend across their shared dorm room.
"What's wrong with you now flame brain," Gray asked, rolling his eyes at his idiot of a roommate.
"It's nothing."
"It's clearly something if your ass keeps going around making whale noises every time you check your phone," Gray snapped back, slightly more irritated at Natsu's lack of a answer.
Natsu glared at Gray, grabbing the pillow from on top of his bed and throwing it at him. Gray caught it with ease of course, throwing it right back at him. Natsu caught the pillow and hugged it, sitting on the corner of his bed.
"It's just, y'know how I went to therapy the other day?"
Gray nods.
"Well, before my session started, this really pretty fairy—I mean girl, this really pretty girl walked out of the room, and she looked like she had been crying, and I felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest. All I wanted to do was hug her and tell her everything was gonna be okay but before I could do anything she ran out the door. I asked the doc who she was and he didn't wanna tell me nothin'."
"Of course he couldn't you dunce, it's illegal to give out clients' information to strangers, ever heard of HIPPA?"
"What does a hippo have to do with any of this?"
"HIPPA dumbass. Basically, you can't give out patients information to strangers 'cuz of safety reasons. Isn't your mom a doctor? Shouldn't you know this?"
"Yeah, but I don't pay attention to my ma' when she talks about work, it's so boring."
Natsu winces as he felt Gray smack him upside the head.
"So what? You're tryna look for her now?" Gray looks at Natsu curiously, this was the first time the pinkette had shown interest in a girl since...well...this was actually the first time. He was beginning to think the idiot wasn't even into girls. But to be fair, Natsu was incredibly oblivious, especially in high school. He recalls a moment when a junior had come up to him their senior year, shyly asking him for Natsus' number. When Gray eventually saw him in their next class, he told him about the junior and Natsu blew him off saying "stranger danger" and he "didn't even know the girl". The girl was pretty, way too pretty for Natsu, but all he could vividly remember about her was her blonde hair.
"Well, that was the plan, but I don't really have any other information to go by."
"What does she look like?"
"She had these eyes that were like, wow, and her hair was golden, and it smelled like strawberries with a hint of vanilla, and she was so tiny she would fit perfectly in my arms—"
"Y'know, you're totally sounding like a creep right now," Gray said with a smirk.
"SHUT UP IM NOT TRYNA BE, SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL, SHE REMINDED ME OF THE SUN," Natsu yelled, standing up from his seat on his bed, slightly offended. His face perfectly matching the color of his hair.
"She has you totally whipped, and she doesn't even know who you are," Gray laughed.
Natsu sat back down, Gray was right. He knew nothing about this mystery girl, and she knew nothing about him, and yet, she had completely taken over his mind. He laid back down on his bed, covering his face and groaning once again.
"Again with the whale noises," Gray rolled his eyes, "try asking people at the University if they know her. Describe her to them to see if they could possibly know her."
Natsus' ears perked up.
"YOURE SO RIGHT ICE PRICK, do you know who she is?"
"Don't you think if I had known who she was I would've told you by now"
"Do you know anyone that could possibly know her?"
"Maybe Erza, considering she's the student body president."
"But Erza's scary, she's gonna ask me tons of questions," Natsu whimpered, imagining the fiery red head tormenting him to no end until she got answers.
"To be fair you haven't shown any interest in girls up until this point," Gray said back, also imagining Erza cornering Natsu so that he would tell her all the details.
"Well excuse me for being too busy for dating."
"Yeah, busy being a dumbass'
"THATS IT, YOU WANNA GO ICE PRINCESS?"
"BRING IT PINKY."
Natsu tackled Gray to the ground and continued their little fight. Punches were thrown, insults were said, bites were given, in the end, they were too tired to finish so they decided to settle this for another day and go to bed. Natsu made a list of potential people that could know his mystery girl. Tomorrow would be a busy day for him.
