Chapter Eight

.

.

What the actual fuck?!

There was no way in hell this was happening, right? She was dreaming. That was the only logical solution for her father walking out of that goddamn portal of VILLAINS.

"We want All Might. Where is he?" rasped the light blue-haired man who must have been the leader, judging by how he was positioned amongst the group. Like a king watching his army ride to war, he stood near the back and didn't advance with everyone else. "I went through the trouble of bringing so many friends who are eager to meet him," he whined somewhat mockingly. "They want All Might, the Great Symbol of peace. I can't believe he's not here…"

"Maybe if I kill a few kids, he'll come out to play."

At that final threat, Aizawa's capture scarf rose into the air menacingly. The deadly aura that surrounded him could be felt even from where Kazuya stood.

"Real villains? How could they even get into a UA facility this secure?" Kirishima thought aloud.

"Yeah, Thirteen. Why aren't the alarms going off?" Yaoyorozu stepped forward.

"Good question. I'm not sure," Thirteen hesitantly answered, not daring to take their eyes off the villains for even a second.

"Is the entire campus under attack or is this their only target?" Todoroki narrowed his multi-coloured eyes in contempt. "This was a calculated attack if they knew All Might was supposed to be here. One of them has to have a quirk that keeps them from being detected. They're fools to trespass here, but they've thought this out. They must have a concrete objective in mind."

Kazuya glanced down at her hand, either trembling from anger or fear. She kept her eyes trained on her father, who she only recognized by his blue hair and lab coat. The white medical mask covering his face was new, but she knew had left the house in that same outfit. Did he plan this?

"Thirteen, get the kids out of here and alert the main campus. They might be jamming regular communications too, so I'll need Kaminari to try using his quirk to contact the school," Aizawa ordered. Kaminari nodded and began to use his antenna headset to tune in to different signals.

"What are you going to do?! You can't fight them on your own!" Midoriya shouted desperately, "There's too many of them. Even if you can nullify their quirks, your fighting style's not suited for this. Your power works best in stealth and one-on-one fights, that's not gonna help with a group!"

"You can't be a pro if you only have one trick," the hero scowled as he jumped down to the horde's frontline. He rushed three villains and easily cancelled their quirks. Their disorientation from being rendered powerless gave him time to wrap them in his bindings and knock them unconscious.

"He's so cool," Kazuya mumbled unconsciously, fangirling only a little bit. Only a few of her classmates heard her, but they paid her no mind.

As Aizawa smashed through villain after villain, he grew closer to Taigen, the portal, and the leader. Kazuya couldn't tear her eyes from her father, even as Thirteen calmly instructed everyone to leave. Why does he look so bored with this all?!

"I really shouldn't have underestimated him," Midoriya spoke, pulling her out of her daze.

"Mister Aizawa will be fine. We need to focus on ourselves for now," she advised, a million questions running through her mind yet answering none.

"Now is not the time to analyze!" Iida shouted. Midoriya and Kazuya turned to find their classmates already headed for the exit. They managed to rejoin the group just as another purple portal opened up at their feet. The dark matter rose, two glowing yellow eyes on top of where its face(?) was.

"There's no escape for you."

Of course, it fucking talks.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. We are the League of Villains," the figure swirled and swayed like a dancing fire, "I know it's impolite, but we decided to invite ourselves into this haven of justice to say hello. Besides, isn't this a fitting place for All Might, the Symbol of peace, to take his last breath?"

Again with the vague warnings. Don't villains ever do anything else except threaten children? Kazuya couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"I believe he was supposed to be here today, and yet I see no sign of him. There must have been some sort of change in plans we couldn't have foreseen," the mist man spoke, raising what looked like its arms. "No matter. I still hold a purpose — "

The…creature? Person? was cut off when Bakugo and Kirishima surged forward, simultaneously attacking. The explosion kicked up dust and smoke, which blocked everyone's view for a beat. As the cloud dispersed, they were shocked to find that the figure hadn't been scathed.

"You live up to your school's reputation, but you should be more careful, children. Otherwise, someone might get hurt," the pair of glowing eyes narrowed challengingly. The distinct pop of Thirteen's finger caps was enough for the villain to go on the offensive.

"You two, get out of the way, right now!" they demanded, but it was too late. The purple substance surrounded them, swirling around the students and pulling them into the villain's hold.

Kazuya cracked one eye open, unable to see five feet in front of her because of the purple tornado. She tried to reach out for Midoriya or Asui, or anyone, but the moment she stepped forward, the floor disappeared from under her feet.

When she opened her eyes again, her shoulder made harsh contact with the rocky ground. A loud pop followed by an intense burning in her arm kept her from getting up.

"You know, I'm sorry about this, kid. This is just how things have to be," sighed a familiar voice from behind.

"Fuck," Kazuya muttered so quietly she was certain he couldn't hear.

As she rolled to face him, a small metal ball whizzed past her face with such force that it burrowed in the dirt. With no time to process what was happening, another barrage of bullets had her rolling along the ground to dodge.

"This would be a lot easier if you'd just sit still," Taigen grumbled, eye twitching in annoyance.

Kazuya let out a frustrated grumble and used her quirk to push herself into the air. Just before she hit the dirt again, she thrust her legs out and kicked her father in the back.

The air in his lungs was expunged as his face hit the dirt with a soft thud. Kazuya was quick to roll his body over and wobbly balance a foot on his chest. She snapped when she saw the floating bullets all pointed at her vital areas.

"What the fuck, Dad?!" she shouted, ripping her mask off with her uninjured hand. Taigen froze. He let go of his control over the metal beads and allowed them to drop to the ground with little clinks.

"Kazuya?!" his eyes, usually heavily lidded from sleep, looked as if they were going to pop out of his head.

"You tried to kill me!" Kazuya motioned to all the bullets scattered around them. Taigen opened and closed his mouth like a fish.

"Well…uh, you see — "

"And why are you walking out of a giant smoke portal full of villains? Is this the presentation you talked about?!"

"Actually, it's a warp gate — oh, forget it — Spitfire, listen to me," Taigen held his hands up in surrender, "I'm not going to hurt you. I didn't even know this was your class!"

"What do you mean my class?! You shouldn't be killing any class!" Kazuya added more weight to his chest. They spent a minute staring at each other, anticipating one another's next move but only feeding the tension. Taigen swallowed the lump in his throat.

"Y – Your costume looks good! Is that the one you and Kagami made?" He smiled awkwardly and motioned towards Kazuya's outfit. She brought a hand up to pinch the bridge of her nose and sighed.

"Get up," she ordered, finally stepping off her father. Pain shot through her shoulder when she shifted her weight and left her wincing from the pain. Her father didn't hesitate to go into parent-doctor mode.

"It's not broken. You must have landed on it wrong when Kurogiri sent you through," he put a hand on her shoulder and felt around.

"What are you — OW! Knock it off!" Kazuya tried to push him back but accidentally moved the wrong arm. Taigen ignored her tea-kettle-like hiss and pulled her in close.

"You're gonna be just fine," he held her head with a surprisingly strong grip, forcing her to breathe heavily into his shoulder. "Just in and out, Sweetheart."

Pop!

Kazuya's mouth hung open in a silent scream, her voice drowned by the fabric of her father's coat. She slumped into him, regained some semblance of who she was, and took a step back.

"D – Dad, you're not….I'm not — " her face scrunched up in thought.

"I know," Taigen sighed, running a hand through his shaggy locks, "But it'll be alright. This doesn't change anything."

"It changes everything! I'm training to be a hero and you're here trying to kill my friends!" his daughter whined. Before her father could say anything, an icy wind blew through the rocky area.

"God damn it," he snarled under his breath and looked down at his feet that had been frozen to the ground. Looking to her left, Kazuya found Todoroki standing a few feet away.

When her dad noticed, he raised his bullets again, sending a few to hit the ice at his feet and using the others for an offensive attack. They flew by and hit a hastily formed wall that Todoroki used as cover. The dual-quirked boy shot another frozen wave out in an instant.

Kazuya facepalmed as her father's body was encased in ice up to his shoulders.

"I had him," she frowned.

"If he's still standing, you clearly didn't," the red-and-white-haired boy stared at her unamusedly. She scoffed and clenched her fists to keep herself from trying to strangle both of them.

"Yeah, whatever, I don't have time for this," her earth-coloured eyes shifted to Taigen, "I hope you know I'm telling Mom."

"Yes, Ma'am," his head dropped in defeat.

"What are you doing?" Todoroki watched them with furrowed brows.

"Having a domestic dispute with my father," she huffed, glaring at Taigen for a beat and then pointing an accusatory finger at him before he could speak. "Don't you try to kill anyone ever again!"

"B – But, Sweetheart — "

"I mean it!"

"...Fine," he grumbled, skin pale from the cold.

Kazuya crossed her arms, turned away from him, and faced her classmate, "Now, where the hell are we?"

"We're still in the USJ. I haven't seen anyone else, but we appear to be in the landslide zone," his heterochromatic eyes monitored her dad cautiously, "What was your plan?"

"You and your friends were scattered around the facility by our transporter. The plan was to separate you and kill you. Again, sorry about that," his exhaustion was clear on his face. He nodded lazily towards the centre of the USJ. "Honestly, most of these lowlifes are pawns for whatever the big guy's planning."

"How did you plan to kill All Might?" Kazuya asked.

"I don't know." As soon as the words left Taigen's mouth, his ice tomb crept further up his neck. He tried to squirm but his efforts proved to be futile so he caved. "Alright, alright, it's Nomu! Their plan is Nomu!"

"Who's Nomu?" Todoroki paused his quirk.

"It's a monster, a genetically modified beast that they enlisted my help in creating. It's a super soldier, essentially." Taigen's hair fell in front of his face and covered his eyes. The way his voice trembled towards the end made Kazuya's expression shift to one of pity.

"But you never hated All Might. Your work was focused on giving power to the powerless, not…whatever that is," she noted softly.

"I don't have a choice," her father sniffled, tears falling from his concealed eyes.

"What do you mean?" Kazuya grabbed his face and made him look up at her. Her father's umber eyes quickly darted to Todoroki and then back to her. He wasn't going to answer with an audience.

"You're worse than the idiots they hired to kill us," the half-and-half boy went to create more ice, but Kazuya grabbed his arm with a vice-like grip.

"Are you crazy?!" she shouted with a sudden fire in her eyes.

"He's a villain." His passive yet angry stare sent shivers down her spine, but she dug her nails into his forearm in retaliation.

"And he's my dad," her voice cracked slightly but she shouted despite herself, "You don't have to let him go, but you have no right to kill him!"

Todoroki's eyes stayed on her face for a minute as if he were waiting for her to break down. Her arms were trembling from trying to keep him away from her dad, but her determined expression never faltered.

Something had changed in those multi-coloured windows. A flicker of jealousy and pity was buried deep down when he watched Taigen try not to cry. Kazuya silently wondered if he was jealous or just thought her father was pathetic.

"Spitfire…" his lips trembled as Todoroki scoffed and put his hand down. Without another word, he wandered off in the opposite direction.

"Don't make this a bigger deal than it is," she gave her father a brief, saccharine smile before pulling her mask down over her face and running off to find someone to help.

.

.

By the time Kazuya found another student, All Might had finally made it to the USJ. Like the legend he is, he instantly began reassuring his students that everything would be okay. Why? Because he was there: the Symbol of Peace, Number One Hero, the man who brought joy and hope wherever he went.

His words of encouragement didn't stop Kazuya from thinking about how her father played a part in the creation of the giant bird-human beast meant to kill him.

She sat up in one of the trees that lined the main pathway, giving herself the advantage of higher sight and concealment. Midoriya, Asui, and a boy, who she vaguely remembered being called Mineta during attendance, were dragging an unconscious Aizawa towards the entrance. After peeling her eyes away from All Might's ungodly powerful fight, she dropped out of the tree to assist.

"Kazuya," Asui acknowledged her with a sharp nod, "Where did you end up?"

"Landslide, but never mind that. Are you guys okay?" Kazuya asked, scanning them with her analytical gaze. Her classmates nodded, but she could tell just by looking that Aizawa's injuries were the worst. His head was bleeding extensively and his elbow skin was chipping away like paint, leaving the muscle and tissue underneath exposed grotesquely.

That thing is capable of this much damage, she thought while glancing at the creature All Might was fighting. As she did, a shockwave of power forced her to shield her face and tightly grasp Midoriya.

Her chest felt uncomfortably tight as she watched the cloud of kicked-up dust disperse. The blonde hero was revealed to be stuck in a back-bending position, one half of the Nomu, as her dad called it, held in his arms and the other half appearing behind him. Its giant hands dug into his sides, staining his white button-up with deep crimson. Were they that evenly matched?

"Damn it, get up…" Kazuya grumbled unconsciously as All Might was slowly pulled deeper into the pit of dark matter.

"Asui," Midoriya called, voice unusually calm. "Can you hold Mister Aizawa for me?"

"Sure, but what're you gonna do?" Asui asked as she took their teacher from him. Kazuya put her hand on his shoulder, only for him to pull himself out of her grip. That green idiot was heading right for the fight!

"He's going to get himself killed," she snapped, feet moving unintentionally.

A surge of energy ran through her body like electricity. He was running right into combat, with no idea who he was up against or what they could do! If that sounded like a batshit crazy idea, was she even crazier to want to follow him? Maybe. However, didn't Thirteen say that's what being a hero is about? Saving others in their time of need?

The three closest students jumped into action, moving at a snail's pace as time suddenly felt much slower than it did mere seconds ago. Bakugou grabbed the metal armour around the villain's smoke-like body, a wave of ice froze Nomu's right side, and a bright blue aura coated Midoriya's shoulder.

Time resumed as, all at once, the warp gate was slammed into the ground, All Might was able to free himself thanks to Todoroki's ice, and Kazuya forced Midoriya into her arms.

"What are you doing?" he tried to squirm but was only enveloped further in her restricting blue aura.

"What are you doing?! You're gonna get yourself killed," she hissed into his ear and forced him into an inescapable bear hug. The trembling boy went silent. Kazuya felt a pair of eyes on her as she watched Kirishima attempted and failed to attack the head villain, but didn't bother looking for them. "Run head-first into danger again and it won't be the villains you'll have to worry about."

With the fade of her sapphire glow, Midoriya was released from her grasp. Just as her quirk deactivated, the Nomu pulled itself upright and shattered its body in the ice.

"How is that thing still moving? He's all messed up," Midoriya took a cautious step backwards. The spectators became eerily still as the rest of Todoroki's frost fell from the beast's right side. Its flesh, bone, and tissue regenerated effortlessly until it had a new arm and leg.

"I thought you said his power was shock absorption?" All Might tensed as he looked towards the ringleader of this whole circus.

"I didn't say that was his only quirk," the young man explained with an amused tone, "He also has super-regeneration. Nomu has been modified to take you on even at one hundred per cent of your power."

"He's basically a punching bag that can kick your ass, too." Out of the treeline came Doctor Imai Taigen, his skin slightly blue and legs shaky from the ice he must have broken himself out of.

"So, they didn't need you, they needed your work," Kazuya muttered to herself, earning a mean glare from Todoroki. An I told you so felt like it was in order, but she'd throw him into the sun if he so much as opened his mouth.

"You'd think you could take on a couple of kids," her father taunted the warp gate villain, smiling under his mask.

"And what took you so long, Doctor?" the leader asked, clearly annoyed.

"Just some business that needed to be taken care of," Taigen shrugged and buried his hands in his pockets, "Now, let's get our escape plan out of this mess." Nomu snarled, startling the students into defensive positions.

"Nomu," the guy with hands on his body eyed Bakugou, "Go get him."

In a fraction of a second, Nomu was barreling towards the loud blonde. When he hit his target, another cloud of dust kicked up around them and blew debris into the faces of everyone within the area.

At first, it seemed like that giant freak had obliterated Bakugo, but instead, All Might had moved him out of harm's way at the last second. A few metres away was the bruised Number One Hero, breathing heavily as blood seeped from the corner of his mouth. It felt rare and just plain wrong to see him beaten to this extent…

"These are kids, and you don't hold back?!" To say he was livid would be a grave understatement.

"I didn't have much of a choice. He was threatening my companion. Besides, these kids are no angels," the pastel blue-haired one pointed to the small group of students, "The plain-looking boy? He tried to kill me with a maxed-out punch. What kind of hero does that? You think you can get away with being as violent as you want if you say it's for the sake of others."

"We have people we want to protect, just as you do, yet you call our methods crass. Sometimes lines need to be crossed to make a point," Taigen's mud-coloured eyes narrowed with subtly shifted over Kazuya and then back to All Might. What point was he trying to make?!

"You think you're the Symbol of Peace? Ha! You're just another government-sponsored instrument of violence, and violence always breeds more violence. I'll make sure the world understands that once you're dead," the boss cackled from behind the hand that covered his face.

"You're just lunatics. Criminals like you always try to make your actions sound noble, but admit it; you're only doing this because you like it. Isn't that right?" All Might words shut him up quickly. Kazuya gnawed on the inside of her cheek, wondering if that was the case for her father, too.

"We've got them outnumbered," Todoroki noted, eyes narrowing dangerously.

"And Kacchan found the mist guy's weakness," Midoriya added, fists up and ready for a fight none were truly prepared for.

"These guys act tough but we can take 'em down with All Might's help," Kirishima bared his shark-like teeth and hardened the skin on his arms. All these positive factors and words of encouragement, yet Kazuya still felt like this was a bad idea. Everything about this whole situation felt wrong.

"You guys are idiots…" her voice was barely a whisper, yet the boys all looked at her like she had shouted something ridiculous. Her hands trembled as she continued, "We'd only be in his way. We're not ready for something like this."

"You can't expect us to sit here and do nothing! That's not manly at all," Kirishima shouted in disbelief.

"Those villains are targeting us because they know All Might will put himself in harm's way for us. He's strong, not invincible. Do you really want to be the reason why he gets hurt?" Kazuya spat through clenched teeth, staring directly at a glaring Bakugou.

"Don't you fucking dare, you shitty Sonic cosplayer," the blonde growled at her. Everyone's eyes snapped forward again as "The Doctor" stepped towards them. The make-shift bullets in his pockets jingled as he moved, like coins in a purse.

"You know, you really shouldn't say such mean things to people. You never know if it'll be your last," he glowered, weary eyes darkening with malicious intent. Kazuya had never seen him so angry. Then again, it was harder to tell what he was feeling when the bottom half of his face was covered.

"Young Imai is right," All Might finally interjected, arm held out to keep the students back, "You need to get out of here."

"You would have been in trouble earlier if it weren't for me, remember? You need our help," Todoroki said. The air around his right side grew colder, yet Kazuya could feel the warmth from his left that left her intrigued.

Does he also have two quirks?

"I thank you for your assistance, but this is different. It's going to be alright. Just sit back and watch a pro at work." Keeping hope in the hearts of those in need of saving looked incredibly exhausting from where she stood.

"Nomu, Kurogiri, kill him," the head villain ordered, "The Doctor and I will take care of the children. Let's clear this level and go home." He moved to attack the five students off to the side, but All Might and Nomu's opposing force was enough to push him back with another shockwave.

"You said your quirk was Shock Absorption, not nullification! That means there's a limit to what you can take, right?" Their hulking figures danced around one another for a minute, trading blow after blow. "If you can withstand me firing at one hundred per cent of my power, then I'll have to go beyond that and force you to surrender!"

All Might sent Nomu flying, only for it to spin and bound forward with its fists reared. The blonde quickly jumped up and kicked it into the ground below, breaking through the pavement to get to the dirt underneath. While Nomu was still bouncing off the pavement, he buried his fist in its gut and rocketed the beast into the fucking sun.

Everything went still as the entire building shook and light fixtures exploded. Everyone took a minute to process what the fuck just happened.

"That was like the finishing move in a video game," Kirishima grinned like an idiot then turned to Kazuya, "See? Everything turned out to be fine." Her shoulders relaxed a little, but not completely.

My doctor isn't going to be happy with my blood pressure this year.

"I really have gotten weaker. Back in my day, it would have taken five hits to knock that guy out." The smoke cleared around All Might once again, revealing his bloodied body standing just as victorious as ever, "Today it took more than three hundred mighty blows."

"Well, shit," Taigen held his hand above his eyes to block the light from them as he stared at the opened ceiling Nomu…exited…from, "Someone's not gonna be happy about that."

"Someone is me," the head villain bit out through a clenched jaw, body trembling with fury. He brought his hand up and scratched at his neck anxiously. "He beat me…Look what he did to my Nomu!"

Taigen rolled his eyes at that, "You didn't help make him."

"Smartass! Don't tell me I was lied to," his boss snarled.

"What's wrong? Why aren't you attacking? Didn't you say you were going to clear this level, earlier? Well, come and get me, if you dare." All Might taunted and furrowed his thick brows.

Kazuya slipped her mask off and watched him carefully. There was still a feeling deep in her gut that she couldn't shake and had begun to grow.

"Gah…If only Nomu were here. He'd pound you into the ground without giving it a second thought," the younger man clawed at his neck with more ferocity, making that horrendous scratching sound louder.

"Shigaraki Tomura!" snapped the warp gate, "Please, do not fret."

"Seriously, kid, calm down. You weakened him some and your hirelings are starting to wake up," Taigen added, shrugging in the general direction of the lower-level criminals that were slowly stirring. "We've still got the upper hand," he dug one of his hands out of his pockets, lifting seven more bullets into the air with his quirk.

"He's on his own and the kids are frozen in fear. We most likely have a few minutes before their reinforcements arrive. We haven't missed our chance to kill All Might," the mist-bodied man hyped up the boss, who finally stopped trying to tear his own neck open.

"You're right. We have no choice, we have to do it now," the eyes that peeked out from under the hand on his face widened creepily.

Kazuya prayed to whoever would listen. Sure, All Might was the best hero in the country, but even he could get tired. He'd get slow, leaving the kids vulnerable and no way in hell was she going to die here! Her family would lose another daughter, Shinso would lose a friend, and Kagami would most likely never be saved. The thought alone made her tear up, but it wasn't the overwhelming grief that made her panic.

That familiar, prickly feeling raced through her veins, accelerating her heart rate. Her hands glowed red from the untimely activation of her quirk, although she was surprised she had hung out for so long.

"No, no, no…I can't. Not now," she pleaded with an unseen force while dropping to her knees to hug herself tightly. A quick glimpse of her surroundings told her none of her classmates noticed her struggle. None except for Todoroki, who was watching her father approach with a very attentive gaze.

"Spitfire?" Her father approached her without hesitation.

"Dad, it's happening again," Kazuya hissed through clenched teeth. She was trying hard not to affect anything, but her control was slipping. Taigen crouched in front of her, pulling his mask down to give her a reassuring smile.

"Focus, Sweetheart. You control it, not the other way around," he firmly placed both his hands on his daughter's shoulders, not minding the scarlet aura that surrounded his body. It was strange that his living parts were glowing as well. Was this a power growth spurt or something?

He undid the velcro on one of her gloves and placed her oni mask in her bare hand, "Concentrate on where it's going, not how it gets there."

As Kazuya opened her mouth to scream that she wasn't strong enough, a gust of wind drew her attention to where Midoriya once stood. She caught sight of a green streak flying towards the two boss villains with both of its legs broken. The sky-blue-haired one's hand reached through the portal and went to grab Midoriya's face, the poor kid's face scrunched in pain.

Her mind cleared in a fraction of a second as her mind cleared and allowed her to follow her father's directions. She focused on the path the metal would follow from point a (her old man) to point b (the enemy's hand) instead of just pushing it and hoping it hit something while in motion.

Luckily, it did.

For the first time, she was able to control a repelled object after it left her hand. The warp gate reared his head(?) back as his metal armour cracked. Judging by the blood staining the broken steel, she cut whatever body was underneath all that murkiness.

The loud pop of a gunshot rang through the USJ as both villains staggered back. The hand-covered boss growled some threats as he scratched his neck, the shadowy figure behind him narrowing his golden glowing eyes.

"How unfortunate," he scoffed, "Doctor Imai, kill the brat."

"That brat is my daughter." Taigen held Kazuya tighter.

"DAUGHTER?!"

She stared at her dumbfounded classmates as she clutched her throbbing head, a powerful migraine keeping her from thinking straight; "Keep it down, would you?"

"You won't be home tonight…will you?" she asked and tilted her head to face her father again. Taigen shook his head, the look on his face both disappointed and worried. She laughed dreamily, "I'm still telling Mom."

"I know, kiddo. Just remember that I love you and your mother no matter what," he planted a quick kiss on her forehead. A few more gunshots rang through the dome, three of which hit the villain leader in non-vital areas. The warp shielded him, allowing the bullets to phase through his mist. With his back turned and his attention split, Thirteen took the opportunity to activate their quirk.

"Imai, now!" Warp gate shouted as Black Hole began pulling both villains in.

"Yeah, yeah, I heard you," Taigen muttered under his breath and gently handed his daughter to Todoroki. He flashed the half-and-half boy a threatening glare as he awkwardly held Kazuya up by one arm.

"Bye, dad," she hummed as if she were drunk. It appeared that she short-circuited after that burst of energy.

"Bye, Spitfire," Taigen said softly before falling backwards into the warp. With their last threats made, the remainder of the so-called League of Villains disappeared into the darkness.

"You should have let me — "

"I did what I thought was best, now shut up and let me sleep," Kazuya snapped at Todoroki. A bead of sweat rolled down her face as she closed her eyes and promptly collapsed from over-exertion. He still had her arm, so she simply flopped over like a ragdoll. It wasn't long after that the pro heroes came down to help everyone, taking the passed-out girl off his hands.
