RAW is WAR: 29/9/1997

RAW is WAR was live at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York. The upcoming match featured the Bladewolf's return to action, his first match since Ground Zero. And he would be taking on Leif Cassidy. In the arena, Leif's theme, a rock track, had played and he walked out, the crowd weren't cheering or booing, the crowd was just watching. Sunny, who was told to announce the next match as well, didn't think that Leif would win this next match as she knew Leif's opponent.

"Introducing first from Lima, Ohio. Weighing in at two hundred and forty pounds, he is Leif Cassidy." Sunny introduced as Lefi entered the ring before climbing a turnbuckle and raising his arms.

"Alright, Leif Cassidy is going to lock up with the Bladewolf who will be in action for the first time since Ground Zero, where he won his match against Bret Hart by disqualification." Vince started. "Despite not walking away with the title, the Bladewolf has absolutely been dominating his competition since his arrival at SummerSlam, what do you guys think about this Leif Cassidy's chances?"

Jerry 'The King' Lawler chimed in immediately "He isn't going to stand a chance, we've seen the Bladewolf is impervious to pain, that he took five steel chair shots to the head and stay standing. He's not human! He's a monster! He stands at seven feet tall and weighs three hundred and ten lbs of muscle. What chance do you have then huh?"

JR then interjected as replays of the Bladewolf's match at Ground Zero: In Your House was shown on screen for the TV audience. "Well King, Leif Cassidy might have seen the Bladewolf's previous matches and planned accordingly."

Leif's theme stopped and he paced in the ring, waiting.

OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!

The crowd gave a lesser mixed reaction than at Ground Zero as the lights dimmed to a sinister blood red and dark blue while The Devil's Wolf played before the Bladewolf walked out through the curtain, earning a louder reaction that had more cheers than boos.

"And his opponent, from parts unknown, he stands at seven feet tall, weighing in at three hundred and ten lbs... THE BLADEWOLF!" Sunny announced as she quickly left the ring.

"An intimidating sight by this man, who JR has given the nickname of the Demon Wolf." Vince said.

"Something demonic about this man, or maybe it's that demonic wolf mask he wears." JR said.

"It's an accurate title if you ask me." Jerry admitted. "He's a monster!"

The Bladewolf makes it to the ring and gets onto the ring apron, staring at Cassidy before he steps over the top rope and enters the ring. He pushes his hood down, then reaches up to take off the metallic Predator-style mask. The red and blue lightning casting his eyeholes in pitch darkness.

"I swear, it's like Michael Myers come to life." Jerry said, shivering as the camera zoomed in on the darkness-filled eyeholes of the mask. "Look at that!"

"There is an eerie, almost supernatural air around the Bladewolf." Vince nodded.

The Bladewolf's theme dies down as he takes off his coat and dumps it outside the ring while the lights return to normal. He stares at Cassidy, tilting his head to the right as the referee calls for the bell.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Leif, in an attempt to catch the Bladewolf off guard, charged and leaped at the Demon Wolf who caught him around the midsection then ran and rammed him into the corner. Leif's breath escaped him as he was squashed against the Bladewolf's shoulder and the turnbuckles, Leif had no reprieve as the Bladewolf threw several corner clotheslines.

"And the match has started, the Bladewolf taking an earlier advantage," Vince said. "Punishing Cassidy with those vicious clotheslines."

The Bladewolf, now finished with the corner attacks, grabbed Cassidy by his singlet with his right hand, and Cassidy's right shoulder with his left hand. With no visible sign of effort, The Bladewolf threw Cassidy across the ring with a Biel Throw with a roar.

"Oh my god!" JR screamed. "The strength of this giant is immense." The crowd reacted with a shock, a few clapped at the sight.

"Should we even carry on with this charade?" King rhetorically asked. "It's obvious that this over before it's even started."

Leif, now holding his lower back in pain, stood and leaned against the turnbuckles on the opposite side. Seeing this, the Bladewolf sprinted across the ring to deliver another clothesline.

"Oh! A clothesline that just flattened Cassidy." JR flinched.

Cassidy fell face-first to the floor groaning in pain while holding his chest. Bladewolf turned on the spot slowly, his dark brown eyes moved towards the prone body of Cassidy.

"Look at those eyes, like a predator just found their prey," Vince said, wondering what this masked monster of a man was thinking.

With a quickness that wasn't befitting a giant of his size. the Bladewolf simply pulled Leif to his feet and violently pushed him towards the corner. As soon as Leif's back touched the corner, the Bladewolf fired off rapidly left and right strong jabs.

"Bladewolf! Lightning up Cassidy with punches!" Vince looked at the quickness with an impressed look. "Look at the quickness! The punches! So quick as lightning!"

"Reminds me of the quick punches the Undertaker does." JR said.

The Bladewolf slowed down just to right hooks, the ref counting beside him made him angry inside.

"One! Two! Three! Fo-!" As soon as the ref started to face four. the Bladewolf stopped and marched over towards the ref, his face frozen in a glare.

Terrified, the referee exited the ring towards the outside. The crowd laughed at that but immediately quietened when the Bladewolf went to perform a running big boot back at Cassidy.

With one last-ditch effort, Cassidy rolled out of the way, causing the Bladewolf's kick to miss its target. the Demon Wolf's leg was overextended with his foot above the corner and his thigh hitting the corner. The crowd reacted at the sight, knowing that must of hurt.

Almost seeing a chance to advantage and win. Cassidy immediately chop blocked the Bladewolf's other leg, causing the seven-foot tall man to fall to the ground, the leg that hit the corner now in between the bottom and middle ropes.

"Cassidy, taking advantage!" JR said.

"It was luck!" King firmly stated. Cassidy then tightly gripped the Bladewolf's hair and gave his own hooks to the masked face.

"Now, Cassidy on the offensive maybe he has a chance to pick up a win here," Vince said though he didn't believe that, however stranger things have happened.

Cassidy now had the Bladewolf's hair in both hands and tried to pull him to his feet. When he did so, Leif pulled the big man towards the centre of the ring. He then applied a front face lock and draped the Bladewolf's near arm over his shoulder.

"Is he attempting a suplex?!" King raised his voice in puzzlement. "What an idiot!" The Bladewolf, however, drove his right fist into Cassidy's ribcage hard, loosening Cassidy's grip on him

The Bladewolf picked Cassidy up into a horizontal position, like he was going for a fallaway slam, with no effort shown on his face. He walked around the ring, showing off his strength to the crowd.

"And again that unnatural strength of the Bladewolf keeps giving him the advantage." JR commentated as the Bladewolf wrapped his arm, closest to Leif's head, around his opponent's neck. Using this as a starting point, the Bladewolf then propelled Cassidy's lower body upwards, lifting Leif in a vertical suplex, holding the man in the air.

"Whoa! Look at that!" Vince cried out. The crowd reacted in wonder again with some cheered and clapped.

After a few seconds, Bladewolf got his hand that grasped his opponent's tights and held it out, showing off to the crowd. "Look at the power of this young man, one arm holding up two hundred and forty pounds!"

The crowd clapped and cheered at the show of strength before Bladewolf finally fell backwards at twenty seconds.

"What a display of power!" Vince said.

The Bladewolf got to his feet and stared down at Leif's moaning body, tilting his head like Michael Myers. He snapped his head straight then walked over, and shot his right hand down to grasp Cassidy by the throat, pulling him to his feet with just one arm holding him by the throat.

"I think we know what's coming next!" JR said.

The Bladewolf lifts Cassidy up with just one arm... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A ONE-ARMED CHOKESLAM!

"Chokeslam! With one arm!" Vince exclaimed.

The Bladewolf wasn't done as he picks Cassidy up, then scoops him up onto his shoulders in a fireman's carry... AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF!

"Fury of the Wolf! No man has been able to kick out of that so far!" JR said.

The Bladewolf rolls Cassidy onto his back and covers him.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three! Ring the bell!"

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

"And that's that! Another decisive victory for the Bladewolf." JR said as The Devil's Wolf plays. The Bladewolf was earning a more positive reaction with each passing match and performance as the man himself got to his feet and stared ahead with a cold, dark glare in his eyes. He turned and left the ring, not looking back at his recent victim.

The upcoming match was the Undertaker vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who is accompanied by Shawn Michaels and Chyna. When the Undertaker was on the stage, he was assaulted by Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith.

until they're punched back to the locker room by the Patriot and Vader. It's not over though as HHH and HBK put the boots to Taker as well. Taker fights them off and chases Shawn into the ring, but he's nailed from behind by Helmsley. Taker comes back though and Chokeslams Hunter. As he goes for the TOMBSTONE, Rick Rude appears and nails Taker from behind with a Halliburton for the DQ.

The mugging continues as DX holds up Taker so he can eat SWEET CHIN MUSIC. Rude opens up the briefcase and pulls out a body bag fit for Taker. It looks like the Shawntourage has won, but then Taker sits up while zipped up in the body bag. Taker escapes the body bag and stalks HBK up the ramp, knocking Helmsley down with a punch before refocusing on Michaels.

However, Michaels comes to a grinding halt... AS THE BLADEWOLF WALKS OUT!

"It's the Bladewolf! The Bladewolf blocking Shawn Michaels' path!" JR shouted.

"But why?" Jerry questioned.

"Who knows what goes through that man's mind, King?" Vince shook his head.

Michaels, seeing he was blocked, decided to jump to the Titantron and start climbing it as the Bladewolf and the Undertaker stare at each other before focusing on Michaels. However, the Bladewolf notices Helmsley running up at Undertaker... AND STOPS HIM WITH A GOOZLE!

"Now the Bladewolf has Helmsley!" Vince exclaimed.

The Bladewolf lifts Helmsley up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!

"Chokeslam! Chokeslam! On the steel stage!" JR shouted.

"Ouch!" Jerry had to say.

The Bladewolf stares down at Helmsley as the Undertaker returns his attention to Michaels, giving him a cold stare that promised a great deal of suffering for Michaels at Badd Blood when they enter Hell in a Cell. The Bladewolf stared down at Helmsley, gaze cold as ever.

RAW is WAR went off the air afterwards.

Another short chapter, I know. But hey, there had to be those moments in the story. The Bladewolf can't compete every week after all. He can show up, aye, but he can't be there just to wrestle, he has to do more than that/ They did do that with the Undertaker around this time, especially after Badd Blood when Kane arrived.
